We're not set in the DCUA, this is just loosely based on the comics and cartoons. Only similarities are the JLU basically looks the same with members including Micron, Barda, Static (who was an older member in the JLU cartoon future), the new female Flash (who appeared in the comics), Warhawk, the bald GL, etc...

Yeah sometimes I'll sit on an idea for awhile if I've already got a similar RP going. I think I had a mind for this one right around the time of Titans of Gotham set in the present day...

Titans Beyond iCheck

It always begins with a Robin. After discovering the truth about his lineage and who his older brother really was, Matt Mcginnis became the new Robin and soon set out to create his own Titans team like Robins of the past. However, it was for all of the wrong reasons. When approaching his older brother at his apartment, Matt showed Terry his new suit. Terry insisted his brother stayed out of the superheroics, claiming it took more than good DNA. The last words out of his mouth would seal his brother's fate... "It would take a team of five or six of you to even take me on and stand a chance..." So Matt had a plan now: to find other young wannabe heroes, preferably with metahuman powers or some strange DNA of their own, and to unite against common threats. The latest Robin would go on to recruit five other heroes and their first mission was to prove themselves to the current Batman. Matt had no chance of taking on his more experienced brother, but when the other young heroes joined the fight it was a little more even playing field. Terry still took them all down, it just wasn't as easy as he thought.

After meeting with his team on a few occasions both in and out of school, a dark time came in the form of the villain Inque. Paid by another enemy who knew the secret identity of Batman, she killed Matt McGinnis before his career had even really began. When Terry found his brother lying lifeless on the floor of the makeshift HQ in an old rundown late 19th century arcade he lost it. He lashed out at the young heroes as if it was their fault in some way. None of them were even around when Inque showed up....

Batman would go on to take down Inque as well as her employer, Paxton Powers... aka the son of Blight and current CEO of Wayne/Powers Industries. After Batman took a few days to cool his head, upon Bruce's request, Terry contacted the young heroes who made up his brother's team. To honor him, Terry took it upon himself to train these new Titans.

One month later, while serving a sentence at Iron Heights, Paxton seemingly got into an accident that left him with metahuman powers of his own. His first target... the pet project of Batman: the Titans.

Here's how it is... I've already got one other player in @rocketrobie2 so there's only three or four spots left to fill. Anybody affiliated with the Teen Titans or Young Justice can be reimagined for this or you could take the sons or daughters of today's heroes (the RP takes place around 2043). I'll take applications through the weekend and around Sunday night I'll pick three people to finish the squad. Animal shifting and ice control powers are off the table as well as the role of powerless superhero since Batman will fill that role and be the NPC/Mentor to the team. Now please remember, I'm only accepting 3-4 more people tops. I'm not looking for or expecting dropouts early on, as I hope everyone is ready to go into this with a bang and excited to develop something like this in the future DCU Beyond setting. Everybody who posts a CS won't make the cut. I've got ideas to move the game forward beyond the opening arc and keeping just what sort of metahuman abilities Paxton Powers has acquired behind bars a secret for now. While we each may live in one of the three cities we'll meet twice a week for training in Gotham and Terry will have set up an actual bunker HQ under the abandoned arcade where his brother was killed. We'll face other enemies of Batman's and I'm up for suggestions as far as other more Titans or YJ themed villains to reimagine for this new setting.

The eternally corrupt Vega planetary system is home to many alien races. It is also home to Larfleeze and his Orange Lantern Corps. Due to agreements with both Larfleeze and the planets under the control of the Citadel, Green Lanterns were forbidden to operate in the sector [sector 2828]. Because of this law, many criminals choose to hide there.The Citadel was a growing cancer in the Vega system, overthrowing smaller planets and consuming the resources to supply their larger planets. Rumor has it the Viceroy [think like the President of the planets under Citadel rule] is working on a weapon that harnesses the power of their galaxy's star. There is of course a resistance. They've been labeled criminals, outlaws, and the people who support them call them freedom fighters. Freedom is something a lot of these planets don't have. And it's what the Omega Men fight for.

Their on-again off-again leader was a native of the planet Karna, a cat like humanoid called Tigorr who lost everything when the Citadel attempted to overthrow his homeworld. Though his planet was sparred, his family was killed during the onslaught. He formed the Omega Men after stealing a star-cruiser to get off world to fight the Citadel. The Omega Men have had members come and go over the years, some who've even died fighting Citadel oppression. One such member was a former Green Lantern who forged his own ring to go undercover in sector 2828 as the Omega Lantern, Kyle Rayner.

With their numbers cut in half once again after a botched attempt to gain intel on the Viceroy's super weapon, Tigorr put out a call to anyone willing to fight for the worlds without the means to fight for themselves.

In this RP players will become the Omega Men. You can either be a new recruit or a member who's already been working with Tigorr. Players can put a spin on an older member, create your own alien race, bring in a character using a cannon DC alien race (somebody could be Martian Manhunter but we'd have to handicap him cause he's hella-OP), etc. I'll be using Kyle Rayner and Tigorr will be our leader and an NPC. Aside from fighting the Citadel we'll also go up against Larfleeze and his construct Corps and take jobs on other planets. The latest Omega Men maxi series read a lot like the post-Firefly film Serenity and is where Kyle became the Omega Lantern in the end. It was the main inspiration for this iCheck LOL.

This RP will only be loosely connected to the cannon material. Some characters will not have existed, some events may not have happened, etc. The Rann/Thanagar War and the awakening of Larfleeze are the only big cosmic events that would have any effects on this RP and even those events will be altered in ways to help the story. Everything else is up to you guys. I will say that this RP will focus less on the religious aspects of the wars and such and focus more on the Citadel's fascist-like oppression.

The first arc will deal with the fall of Euphorix. In a Destiny (for PS4) like fashion the last city on the planet, Aesad, will be on the verge of being overrun. It's up to the Omega Men to help ships break away from Citadel armies' firepower to safety in the stars and possibly on another habitable world or moon. Afterwards... Larfleeze will wake up from his recent hibernation to lay claim to whatever he wants in the sector.

I'm only looking for four or five dedicated players for this. I *think* what DC Comics was attempting was to cash in on the success of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, the execution just didn't set up an ongoing series so everything was wrapped up by issue twelve. Part of the appeal though was a team that wasn't a dozen characters fighting for their time in the limelight. This is really meant to take bits from the bigger space themed franchises and roll them into a single entity. The Citadel is much like the Empire from Star Wars. The Omega Men are like a cross between the Guardians of the Galaxy and the cast of Firefly.

If there's enough interest for this I'll get a CS model up. The tone of the RP will be something like the Rann/Thanagar War or the original Star Wars Trilogy combined with Rogue One. Cosmic epicness with a dash of superheroics for good measure. Maybe we'll run into some Starros or Brainiac while drifting through space.

So who's ready for something a little different from the standard superhero fair? Even galaxies far far away need heroes.

@Nightwing95 So far Batwoman and Batwing are the only people Batman really trusts. Batwoman and half the group are looking for Batgirl, while Batwing and the rest of the group are combing the city for any leads on Bane. Batman told everyone if Jack crosses the line and it isn't Bane to take him down. A few people are doing their own thing, I think most of the players have been introduced now...

Presumably a few of them would've been briefed. Klarion, Batwoman probably.... but somebody could've mumbled something about it. If it makes things easier, we could say Batwing let something slip in front of the other recruits after Batman left....

For now yeah. If we don't hear from Klarion or Batwing we'll make them NPC's and victims of Bane by arc's end. Maybe Batman WON'T save the boys, maybe he takes time off afterwards to get his head right....

I'm also going to wait until the end of the first arc to recruit others. For now we'll keep pushing forward with who we have.

You don't know about Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins?! That was in the original Batman TAS, Batman Begins, etc...? Not to mention it's been featured in the Arrow tv series [like a few Bat-characters...]
