I should go ahead and note ANY universes integrated into the mainstream DCU they've purchased over the years is on the table. Fawcett, Quality, Charlton, and more recently the Milestone and Wildstorm universes all have a multitude of characters that could be reinterpreted and put into our universe.

The Justice League had been active for several years. Their membership included Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman (Naomi), Green Lantern (Alan Scott), and Robot Man. Most of them were already in their 40's, Batman was rumored to be in his 50's. Naomi of Themyscira was ageless as an Amazon. The team took down threats such as Brainiac, the rogue General Eiling, Solomon Grundy and an army of the undead, a Thanagarian Cult, and dozens of others. Days ago the Justice League nearly failed in taking down the monster from the stars called Doomsday. Superman gave his life protecting the city of Metropolis and the world was rocked. Batman also suffered a broken back during the battle with the monstrous creature. Alan Scott (Green Lantern) had already stepped away from the heroics to focus on his family and moved up north to Jump City after the birth of his twins. Several heroes and metahuman allies showed up in Metropolis to help the League defend the city during the battle. Wonder Woman and Robotman opened up the doors of Metro Tower to several of them to form the Justice League Unlimited.

Not wanting to be part of a League without Batman, the young hero from Gotham called Sideways began his own team out on the west coast called the Titans. He’d used some cash he’d been saving to buy the former ‘Timmy’s Toy Museum’ to convert into a headquarters but it was still a work in progress. The T shaped building still needed a final cleaning, with several decades old toys here and there throughout the structure. Batman would in time fund the team to help them reach their full potential.

With two vastly different teams on opposite sides of the United States, you better believe there are all manner of solo heroes AND VILLAINS in between.

Hey there, what’s up? You must like some form of DC Comics or you wouldn’t be here! Over the last year myself and others have had a ton of awesomeness come out of a series of Justice League Unlimited RPs, and that eventually morphed into DC Unlimited with me breaking one of my usual rules and allowing for multiple characters. We’re relaunching the RP with more of a focus on the different team aspects and now solo characters will only be available as secondary characters. However, this particular RP will differ from the others in that VILLAINS are now also an option, but again only as secondaries. If players want they could also just have a character on both the Titans and the JLU. Or even just use their primary characters outside of the team setting for solo adventures in between stuff that happens with the teams.

As far as the setting for this RP it’s a little sooner in the timeline than we usually start from. We generally began a year after the JLU was formed and months after Superman died. This time we’ll be picking up just ten days after his passing. The JLU is still fresh and based out of Metropolis and Sideways is putting everything he’s got into his own Titans team in San Francisco. The biggest difference in the teams will be age and experience. The Titans will be between the ages of 17-24 and have two years of experience or less. The idea is newer heroes. The League will be between the ages of 20-whatever so long as they have more than two years of experience under their belts. Solo characters and villains are completely up to you. Wanna find a hero to archvillain for in your spare time? Would you rather be a hero taking up shop in a fictional cannon or non-cannon city in the DCU? Crime’s gonna be on the rise in Gotham as well with a broken Batman and no sidekicks in our history to protect the city.

Founding Five Justice Leaguers

Superman - He's the first superhero. The reason it's even called a super-hero. His career seemingly began in the 1970's, however reports indicate he may have been active as far back as WWII. Same basic powers of Superman. He makes everybody in the room wanna stand a little bit taller. A big blue boyscout to this day, he has a line he'll never cross and ALWAYS finds another way. He's pretty much the big gun of the metahuman/alien archetypes. He's only been Clark Kent the last twenty-five years or so of his life on Earth. He obviously ages slower in the universe than past incarnations. Recently killed fighting the monstrous Doomsday. - Deceased

Batman - Same billionaire playboy philanthropist, his career just began in the late 90's and has lasted nearly two decades. He is to the gadgeteers and standard human heroes what Superman is to metas and aliens. The big gun. Basically picture Ben Afleck's Batman here just with more gray hair. Like gray haired Bruce in the veeeery first episode of Batman Beyond. Currently Bruce has a broken back after the fight with Doomsday that will take some time to recover from. - Active Mentor

Green Lantern - Alan Scott is the resident GL, and the ONLY GL in this universe. I'm staying away from the GLC and all the rainbow brigade Corps. His career stretches over the last decade or so and a few years back he absorbed the energies of his magic ring internalizing his power. He's the big gun of the supernatural/magic archetypes. He was based in Gotham and mostly patrolled during the day when Batman wasn't being Batman. Green Lantern retired after finding out his reformed enemy turned fiancée Thorn was pregnant with twins. Moved upstate to Jump City. - Retired/Reserve

Robotman - Cliff Steele was once a racecar driver and adrenaline junkie. He jumped out of planes, served two years in the military, and was even a bouncer on a cruise ship for several months. It was to no surprise to anyone when he finally went too far and crashed an experimental NHRA racing car. His body was near completely destroyed, which is when his friends at STAR Labs Dr. Niles Caulder and Silas Stone put his brain into the body of a machine. Still ever the enthusiast he decided superheroics were in his future and took the alias Robotman [he wasn't very original]. He was a hero of Midway for several years before joining the other founding five in the Justice League. - Active Mentor

Wonder Woman - Princess Diana as well as many other young Amazons lost to the dark skinned Naomi when a contest was held to send a champion out into man's world. Naomi was christened the 'Eagle of the Amazons' but at some point during her early career in WWII she was dubbed Wonder Woman by the papers in Europe. She was one of only a dozen or so active superhumans fighting for the allies before they were shut down by the governments for various reasons. She joined Batman and Superman originally forming a superhero trinity in the early 2000's before also teaming with Robotman and Green Lantern to form the JL. - Active Mentor

The universe itself is a bit of a reimagining so I’m hoping to see more cannons or reimagined canons than originals, but that’s not to say original characters won’t be accepted as several past players have used originals. Stronger character sheets and RPers in general will help build a stronger foundation for the game and take us places the other games have yet to. I’m still reworking my Character Sheet model but for now any interested parties can chime in with ideas for both Primary Characters [a Titan or League member] and Secondary Characters [solo heroes, additional team players, villains, or your hero’s continued adventures away from the teams].

I’ll be using a reimagined Firestorm in the JLU as a Primary as well as a Secondary character/NPC with Sideways in our universe’s Titans.

Finally finished him. I took a few guesses at where his comic is going for a few characters and made him experienced about 3 years or so. If anyone needs a supersuit, check out his supporting characters section. His bestie/love interest is a former cosplay enthusiast turned superhero outfitter ala Edna Mode from the Incredibles films.

Powers:
Strength - he can lift 7-10 tons [roughly 20k pounds max].
Speed/Agility - also above average, but also due to being a parkour enthusiast.
Rifting – Derek can create rifts in space/time and teleport anywhere he can think of as well as cross into the Multiverse, Dark Multiverse, and the spaces in between.

Weaknesses:
He can be physically overpowered and is vulnerable to the same things as any human would be in a light body armor suit. Outside of his suit, smaller arms fire doesn’t bother him as much as anything high powered and knives can still do damage. He’s meant to be flawed somewhat in the same ways as Spider-man. He’s human and vulnerable.

Skills:
He’s good with computers and most modern tech. Knows waaaay too much about tv and movies as well as music. His powers make him stealthy when it’s needed. Anything else he just Google’s or watches a YouView video on it.

BRIEF Bio:
During the Justice League’s discovery of the Dark Multiverse some years earlier, 16 year old Derek James fell into an opening into the space between universes. Four days later he woke up with powers allowing him to teleport anywhere he could think of. After coming into contact with the Fuginauts, Derek learned of the Multiverse, the Dark Multiverse, and the space in between called the Hypertime Membrane. Derek would face a dark matter creature from the Dark Multiverse similar in a way to Marvel’s Venom symbiote, however it would consume and manipulate half of Darkstar Science’s staff including their CEO. After a war with Sideways, Batman, and other allies from Gotham the Fuginauts stepped in to help eliminate the Dark Matter’s presence, or so they thought.

After the Dark Matter managed to corrupt one Fuginaut it took nearly all of them and began destroying worlds in the Multiverse and Dark Multiverse. Now only Tempus remains after Sideways cornered them in a dark universe that Tempus destroyed.

Now after having the weight of two Multiverses thrust onto his shoulders in a three year period, Derek focuses on getting grounded back in his universe and joins the Titans after Batman offers him a steady income while attending school.

Story Arcs:
Titans – Sideways is still a big dork and blown away at the chance to work with Batman once again. Most of his arcs will be with the Titans but I might tell a solo story once in awhile. (Titans Missions)

Return of Replicant – The power thief returns after Sideways thought the villain’s use of the rifting power had killed him years prior. However now… he’s powered by Dark Matter. (Team-Up)

Supporting Characters:
Batman, cause Derek lives in Gotham and he’s also a member of Batman’s Titans.
Ernestine Edgars, at 19 years old she’s become the Edna Mode of the DCU and creates looks for several heroes now. Still a potential love interest for Derek but she’s become her own shining star thanks to Sideways.
Replicant, Derek’s first metahuman enemy now also powered by the Dark Matter.

Primary Character: the Comet

Additional Notes: I’ve got a character now on both teams and I’ll be taking a more hands on approach and taking the teams forward and getting missions going and storylines and such. Building towards some big stuff with others’ characters and now I’d like to do that with the teams with Atlantis Attacks and other larger crossover stories.

For clarification, the way I see the Atlanteans in this DC Universe we've crafted varies between the two kingdoms. The grunt soldiers for Poseidonis look like the Atlantis grunts in the animated Flashpoint Paradox film.



While the armies of Xebel rely more on water constructs and more traditional looking Aquaman styled armors.



Here's a quick scene of all three in action against a Navy sized war ship. The grunts, the water benders of Xebel [Aqualad I and II] as well as the mystic stuff with Orm/Ocean Master. Attitude wise Orm would be more like the Flashpoint Aquaman here.



It should be noted their armies are great in number and their tech and mystic advantages are numerous. In the clip the Navy even had metahumans on it's side and were still not match. Take into account we'll also be dealing with giant kaiju sized crab monsters and sea creatures this is as big as you guys wanna make it.

We've recently lost a few folks including a Co-GM who's MIA, so if there are any interested parties we'e got some space. Gotham has been freed up some as well. The current cast is in the first post of the OOC as well as their team affiliation and city they operate in. I'd be particularly interested in some Titans and JL members!

We also recently got an 'event' going through the game to tie some stuff together as well as open a few doors. Atlantis Attacks! has the armies of Xebel coming from the west and the armies of Poseidonis coming from the east coast in an attempt to find the 'taken' Aquagirl.
