Welcome, One and All!

This is Delbrook Academy of Delbrook, Texas where dreams are made. At least, that's what we're supposed to tell you, isn't it? We're quite the close-knit community, despite our differences. Delbrook Academy is home to the Bengals and our blood runs proudly with black and blue. We have an excellent art program and a killer baseball team, but we equally pride ourselves on our football team, as well. Our jazz band rocks the quad with their out-of-this-world tunes that make you feel like you're taking a stroll through the beautifully lit New Orleans. We are a school that runs on blocked schedules, so on some days you'll meet with your Even classes, while on others you'll be attending your Odd classes. Each day, you will be going to your Homeroom. Each homeroom teacher does things differently, but it's mainly just a grace period for you students to fully wake yourselves up before going to your first official class. Day One will consist of attending your homeroom classes, where each class will be taken to the auditorium for an introduction on what your year is going to look like here, at Delbrook Academy. Afterward, your teachers will take you to the football field where we've prepared some festivities to enjoy. The field will be filled with food booths and other booths with carnival games, others with different clubs who are trying to recruit members for the new year. Meet some new people, join a club.. get yourself out there! Make a name for yourself. It's a new year. New year, new you, right? Why not start now. Again, we welcome you to Delbrook Academy. Make the memories count.


Here at Delbrook Academy, we do not condone any kind of bad behavior, such as fighting or vandalizing. Such things will result in an immediate detention. Depending on the severity, possibly a potential suspension as well. In-school suspension, so don't get comfortable with the idea of spending your suspended days at home relaxed on your couch binging Netflix. You will be held at school and made to do the homework from your classes. Don't have any? We'll give you some! Hold yourself to the standards we know you can keep. Our school also participates in what is called 'School Loop' where Parents will be able to access all of your class grades, as well as have easy access to emailing your teachers if necessary. They will need to create their own profile before the end of the second week before we begin calling for reminders. When school is missed, if it is not called in ahead of time by an adult of your household, there will be a phone call made home to let your parents know you missed said day of school. Remember, 'big brother is always watching'.
