Stark Tech is going to be a big thing for Rhodey going forward so can work in stuff if you wish on that angle.

Would criminals stealing from Stark Tech draw Rhodey’s attention?
So I got stuff planned and got ahead of myself.

Does anyone have intentions on Kingpin playing a part in your character’s story? I mean he will be doing normal gang stuff but she’s definitely working on a grand scheme with sourcing Reach tech and scientists and engineers to work that tech into usable equipment. Usually those that are desperate from circumstances but any comic book villain that makes their own gadgets and stuff can fall in that category.

Vulture is one for example.

Could be a way to cross and collab eventually leading to Kingpin plot stuff.

If that has any takers let me know!

Did you mean for the Mayor to Osborn per your previous post quoted above? Or did you change your mind to Oswald?

Aaahh! You’re right! Norman Osborn is the mayor! I got the wrong Os- last name
Post up.

To keep all our stories straight. I mentioned Mayor Oswald so he is the current mayor of New York City. We also now have the debut of Adrian Toomes or the Vulture!

Sorry I am a little slow, but I am happy to get the post done!

"This is 2nd Avenue. Transfer is available to the M train. Exit here for the Lower East Side. Please watch the gap between the train and the platform."

"Excuse me. Excuse me." Cindy Moon muttered as she deftly weaved through the rush hour crowd to escape from the mobile prison of the New York City subway system. It took effort but it was something she was use to by now.

"Doors are closing."

She lurched just in time to pass the last obstacle, a rather large rotund man who decided to jam as much stuff in his backpack as possible. A tourist, Cindy had pegged him as, just from the general vibe. He was on there before she got on and yet he still camped the door as if he'd miss his stop. Though that was just her being a typical New Yorker and lamenting about the tourists. They were scarce these days what with Mayor Osborn catering to government overreach. Turns out having security checkpoints all throughout the city turned off a lot of potential visitors. Go figure.

Following the few who also got off at this stop, Cindy navigated to the escalator and jammed on with everybody else. Her stomach gave a disapproving rumble with how slow she was to return home. It wasn't her fault, though. Robotics was just far more interesting today that she lost track of time. Like three hours worth, but that's fine. She'd still make it in time. Another rumble, this time from her pocket as her phone silently went off. She pulled it out, screen lighting up, greeting her with a New York Rangers icon for her background, ignored for the message that popped up on her notifications.

Even Mister Li was starting to notice she had been missing more than a few dinners New Way, it seemed. Once again, not her fault. There were things she had to do that would come up. It was a little exhausting being this busy but it wasn't like he'd understand. Maybe if they extended dinner servings past seven, she might be able to make a few. Then again, she'd also probably reason that she could stay out later aaand... probably still miss out on dinner. That would really draw attention that Cindy just didn't want to deal with right now.

She swiped on her phone and swiftly offered a reply.

It was nice of Mister Li to care, at least. That made one person that cared enough about to make sure she was eating. Cindy frowned sulking as she beat down the emotions that were crawling their way up as stepped off of the escalator and headed towards the exit. She hated feeling sorry for herself. That was how she got into this whole mess by sulking and moping about it. It wasn't going to undo what had been done.

Even still, Cindy stopped herself from grabbing the handrail as she started up the stairs to the street. The instinct overridden as she clenched her fists tightly, something that probably would have squeezed the life out of that poor handrail that did nothing but support old people as they made their climb up and down. That wouldn't be fair to them. Plus the whole secret identity thing would be tough to manage if a teenaged girl crushed metal bars like they were nothing.

Cresting above the sidewalk, the sounds of the city began reach Cindy's ears again. Cars honking, people walking or talking, the ever present construction noises, and oh yeah, the sirens.

Wait. Sirens?

Cindy's ears perked up in the direction she thought she could hear them, but that was only her human reflex making her turn. Her head tingled with a very specific feeling that only really she could describe and not well to others. She hurried up the rest of the way to the sidewalk and turned to face a bisecting street from the one she emerged on. She could feel in her head the speeds of the police cars, the blare of the sirens all three of them racing down E Houston towards her because. Because.

FWOOOOOOOSH!

A set of rockets sounded as they flared down 2nd Ave, turning onto East Houston. People everywhere looked up, including Cindy to catch a figure in a green jumpsuit in a partial mechanical suit. It had massive metallic wings that caught the dusking sun to shimmer as the man banked the turn to start heading East.

SKRAAAANG−KLKT!

The wings moved and adjusted mid-flight in some of the most advanced mechanical engineering Cindy had ever seen, and she had seen some impressive stuff as a robotics student. The police cars were drawing in, the man taking a moment to spare a glance at them. Cindy's vision focused, drawing details far better than anyone else watching. He looked intense, angry, as if something had gone wrong. The police being onto him, no doubt, but honestly, a set of jet powered wings. Not exactly scoring points for subtly.

The man turned back east and the jets flared back to life just as Cindy had began to sprint to an alleyway just adjacent to her subway exit. In the cover of the darkened space between two buildings, she flipped her backpack around drawing out her suit. She flashed a glance at her watch. 6:49. She was probably just about to make it to dinner, too.

But like all the other times she had missed this month.

Duty called.

more spoders

I like it. A lot more people to collab with.

@Master Bruce

I'll raise an issue with it as well. I'd have to redraw Silk from the ground-up and doesn't work with all my intended plans for a lot of those named villains.

Not saying I have a monopoly on the ideas! And I'll work with whoever wants to do build up NYC! However, that would interrupt a lot of ideas I had.
I was thinking of Osborn. The reason being that he seems like he’d play politician better in the current political climate. Then in the background, he is slipping his corporation stuff from the US government to enrich himself a little that he’d get because he is the mayor. Tech the metahuman control agency is using, and maybe a super human serum is somehow involved. Whether it be from his company that he’d posture to sell to the agency or something the agency has been working on.

Fisk, I had thought of him buying up small but brilliant tech companies namely to put the scientists to work on arms manufacturing. It is how Silk’s first villain in the IC, The Vulture, will appear. Bought out by Fisk and given a bit of Reach tech to make his invention of a flying suit finally possible but now he is in debt to Fisk.

I dunno, feel free to workshop!

"Hi. My name is Silk. You're all, uh... under arrest."

Nine years ago, Cindy Moon was living quite content with her family except for her younger brother always going into her room and ruining just about everything. At least that's what she remembers that day when she stormed out of the parent's home in upstate New York, the last time she had been with them. She couldn't even remember what she was mad about and why she thought storming outside was a good idea, but she did remember the Reach. Had they been waiting to abduct her or did they just seize the opportunity to?

Cindy couldn't help but curse herself on that fateful night. Something so stupid had resulted in her being taken away into the Reach's custody for almost six years. Her whole life for that time was contained by one little room, all to experience one bite by a spider and the reaction it would have on her. She mutated, genetically altering from that bite to become what she is now. Why had the Reach approached an experiment like this? Where did that spider come from? Was it genetically altered or something from a different planet? It did look like it could be.

The Reach invested time in Cindy to showcase her abilities and experiment with them for years. Looking back, it was possible that this was one approach that a Reach division was attempting to experiment with human genetic malleability, but Cindy wouldn't really be able to be certain. She was far too young to understand, but when her salvation would come, she'd be able to understand something far more important. With great power, comes great responsibility.

It was Superman that had saved her, and the others that were kept in secret at that facility. She could remember how he effortlessly ripped open that door she had never seen beyond and offered her a hand. She was freed from that room but the life she had known was gone. Cindy would find herself deposited in the nearest city, New York City, with the other victims in that facility. She was passed off to Martin Li, a known philanthropist operating in New York City for many causes but for Cindy's case, New Way was his organization to help runaway teens find a place if they couldn't go back to their old lives. New Way helped her get back into school, helped her find a place to stay and to eventually, hopefully, find her family.

So with this story backdrop of a tyrannical government, I thought of Silk instantly. Not because that's the only thing I play, either! I thought of how fun it'd be to play an icon behind that kind of NYC resilience and defiance in the face of unpopular and/or aggressive governing motions. I can only imagine NYC displaying their contempt for government overreach against a particular group of people with fairly regular protesting and presenting themselves as an obstacle. Cindy comes in as the young spider-hero this time as a onetwo-year veteran, able to build up a rapport with the city. Likely they were skeptical at first but given a year of saving people's butts, she has earned her place for the average New Yorker to respect.

Still a high schooler, Cindy gets to find the joys of trying to juggle classwork, a job, and fighting crime while the city juggles constant patrols, police crackdowns, Agency raids, and the odd supervillain. How long can this last? Who knows, Cindy certainly doesn't. New York City, as a result, might be appealing for the odd superpowered hero to migrate to if they can see past all the propagandized news cycles that state NYC is just fine, no protesting here. Ignore the Silk merchandise booth on the corner of the street.

Any other NYC residents? Feel free to say hi. Cindy doesn't have anyone to lean on at the moment. ;;;;_;;;;

❄Erika Olson❄

Erika tensed, dipping and darting her head and gaze around to the battle in front of her. It was funny to think about later, but she was more stressed about this than her first gym badge just by the nature of the battle. Thankfully, she didn't have time to keel over the stress before the call was made. She had won!

"Whew!" Erika sighed, dropping her hands onto her knees in a slouched relief. "Good match!" She called out with a thumbs up before the announcer caught her attention. In truth, Erika had wanted the TMs so she was perfectly happy to depart on this note but she was curious to see what would happen if she continued... Another time.

"Oh thank you but I will call it here for the TMs!" She said, shaking her head. Before anyone could convince her otherwise, she returned all three of her Pokemon back to their Pokeballs.

Collecting her rewards, she would depart PokéMania and find herself in the dense cluster of the Entertainment district again. The tight, almost corridor paths, weaved in almost every direction as Erika started to walk around. There were so many shops, restaurants, and everything! It was kind of cool but also a little scary as being this low in the district made it seem like it was dusk so the various lighted signs and neon really stuck out. The other thing was the amount of noise as catchy tunes, chimes, and advertising criers tried to catch her attention. It was all... exhausting if you stayed too long. Especially from the almost quiet stillness that Cooldome could offer on a snowy night.

Erika, resigning herself of the Entertainment district for now, would work her way back up. Entering the Commercial District, she would trade the compact corridors of the Entertainment district for wider walkways that were just as busy with activity but a little more natural light. She wandered a bit but eventually stopped at a building that caught her attention. Inventor Russel’s Store.

Erika squinted, glancing around at the store entrance... It felt like a junk pile with various contraptions, half completed or at least seeming so. She figured she had time before setting out with her friends so she would stop in and see what this place was all about.
