The three heads looked at one another after Amelia had said her piece. Anger frowned at the other two, while Joy lifted his head with pride looking down at the other two while Sorrow looked back and forth at them, expression unreadable. Then… Anger smirked, as well as a bird can do that, Joy also got an amused look in his eyes and Sorrow nodded a little. Then, all three heads let out a feral cry as the being turned around and dashed pretty far, decently out of sight.
Amelia and Dawkin was left alone, except the regular dangers of Route 6. There were numerous patches of Fletchlings around, sure, and other Pokémon which are always around this route. They were allowed to have a couple of exchanges of discussion if they want to have that. But…
There was a sudden rumble getting audible a bit away. Dust-clouds rising, a sound like an incoming earthquake, and- it was coming right at them?
And in the front of them…
Dodrio, all three heads looking quite amused, was running fast in front of a charging herd of Tauros, before quickly jumping out of the way and watching from the side as the herd-missile it had sent continued careering towards Amelia and Dawkin. It was still some distance to go, the two had at least the better part of the minute before they actually arrived… but that didn’t change the fact that a horde of the angry bulls was currently charging them. The Fletchlings around panicked and flew off, not willing to defend their territory against the likes of those.
‘Bully? No-no-no-no. We’re training!’ Maple defended, looking a bit conflicted by the sudden accusation and the situation surrounding. However, she couldn’t continue looking at Claire because suddenly fighting-Pokémon started dropping at her Pokémon. ‘Ah!’
Fighting-types, working on ways to overcome Roar, had started climbing the buildings and jumped like living missiles at Maple’s Pokémon. Now, they could see them in advance and dodge, but this was a method of attack that Roar couldn’t stop them from doing.
‘Teppy! On the building to your right! Maggy, watch out to the left!’ She suddenly had to act spotter for her Pokémon, while Growly kept roaring and the other three kept shooting fireballs at the incoming Fighting-Pokémon, especially those that were jumping from the roofs.
For clarification, these weren’t the same as the ones on the wall
This left Ellyn alone to fend off Claire and Anise. Anise sent out Mienfoo, making this a straight four-on-four.
Disarming Voice hit three of the opponents, Natu, Mareep and Bonsly recoiling, but Cyndaquil was a bit out of range. They recoiled, with various mildly pained expression depending on the Pokémon, then faced forward again.
However, Ellyn had retaliated, sent a Thundershock and a Rock Throw at Froakie. Froakie dodged the Thundershock barely, but then took a rock to the head and fell back before jumping back onto his feet again.
‘Bird, peck the bug!’ Ellyn commanded, sending the bird after Ritz.
‘Thing, smoke the fairy!’ She then continued, making Cyndaquil step forward a bit.
Unfortunately, the speedy Natu was able to fly out of Supersonic’s path and flew quickly at Ritz for the peck. It’s probably pretty difficult to avoid. Meanwhile, Cyndaquil launched a small black ball from his snout at the various Ralia clones, which burst into a cloud of smoke enveloping their vision and getting in Ralia’s eyes, stinging a little and lowering her accuracy.
‘If we take out Growlithe, we win,’ Anise said, then smirked at the opposition. ‘Still, I believe we can win this regardless.’
‘Mienfoo, Meditate! Froakie, bubble them all!’ At her command, Mienfoo focused and increased her attack, while Froakie stopped and blew out bubbles, wide bubbles that spread over the area, heading forward.
‘Sheep, block the bubbles and shock!’ Ellyn tried to counter, Mareep dashing forward to take bubbles for Bonsly and Cyndaquil. Bonsly was mostly protected by Mareep, but Cyndaquil took a spray of Super Effective bubbles, while Mareep suffered normal damage.
‘Tree, rock the frog!’ Ellyn continued.
So, on each of her four Pokémon, Natu was homing in to peck at Ritz who was probably attempting to dodge the faster bird, Mareep and Bonsly were focusing their attacks on Froakie and Cyndaquil had just smoked at Ralia, and was probably preparing to continue that with fire.
‘Gothi,’ the Pokémon replied to the question if she was looking for a fight, not taking her eyes off Martin. The tone wasn’t giving a conclusive answer. Then Martin called out Nincada, and Gothita turned her eyes to look at the newly called out bug. Martin had Nincada do Harden, and that raised defense. Gothita looked on. Then…
‘Gothta!’ Gothita got a small gleam in her eyes as she charged some psychic energy. Suddenly, Nincada felt some unpleasant psychic touches. Now, it’s hard to say where a bug is ticklish, but Gothita was using Tickle with psychic power (since tickle “does not make contact” I’ll assume that’s how she does it). Still, Nincada suddenly had a very bad case of being tickled, lowering Attack and Defense while also being considerably unpleasant.
‘Ita-ta-ta!’ Gothita laughed a little, apparently amused by its own power. Now, perhaps, was the time Martin would counter… when suddenly Gothita lifted into the air. Of course, this meant the pull on Martin’s shadow vanished and his shadow returned to normal, for Gothita was no longer standing on it.
‘Thita?’ Gothita looked quite surprised by this as she floated into the air, tilting so she was diagonally instead of straight. … Behind her, another form had walked into the alley, a black form that had the very space around it bend by the psychic power it held.
Pokédex Entry #576 – Gothitelle, the Astral Body Pokémon. Space is distorted by its intense psychic power, and viewed through that space one can see stars thousands of lightyears away. It is capable of predicting the future by looking at the stars, and it can see the lifespans of trainers by looking at them. If it cries while looking at someone, it may mean they’re not long for this world.
Well, no crying here. While her eyes were on Martin, she was just picking up Gothita with psychic powers and then pulling her back to herself. Looks like mommy wasn’t having it.
‘Gothita.’ Gothita sounded honestly disappointed as she looked towards Martin even while drifting away. Then, with the assumption that Martin didn’t do anything to interrupt it, Gothitelle caught Gothita in her arms and then turned to walk back where she came from, Gothita making an effort to look at Martin for as long as she could before a building blocked her line of sight.
… So, that happened. So, was Martin going after the Koffing, was it? It’s still floating about over there, looking really happy by the exhaust vent of an abandoned factory.
Lileep was thawed out of the ice, and the flower Pokémon spent a number of moments swinging idly, like it was dazed after a long sleep. Then it turned its head towards Erika, the eyes in the blackness in there locking on her and Gibs, and there it froze, staring at her.
‘LEEEEP!’ it shouted out from who knows what mouth and then suddenly shot out an orange burst of Acid towards Gibs. Gibs had already shot sand back at it, and the two were hit simultaneously. Now, as Lileep is not Poison-type, it didn’t do a whole lot of damage, but that did not mean it was comfortable to be splashed with acid. Lileep recoiled, having turned towards Gibs so it got sand in its eyes, wiggling a bit in annoyance.
Gibs tackled, but found the sea lily Pokémon impossible to actually turn over. It did damage, but the flower was hard, the physical impacts not looking like they were doing more than inconveniencing it. Lileep was firmly rooted to the ground, tackling it to the ground was a no-go.
Notable Ability; Suction Cups - This Pokémon is immune to all moves that force movement or switching out.
… That said. Lileep at multiple times tried to grab ahold of Gibs with its tentacles (Constrict) and shoot Acid at him, but the sand in its eyes were making things hard. It missed, time and time again, the tackles slowly but surely depleting Lileeps health. More Sand Attacks meant Lileeps aim got even worse, and Gibs was able to avoid most attacks beyond the first Acid, perhaps hit by one Constrict that barely did anything before Gibs slipped out the grip.
Eventually, Lileep was completely weakened while Gibs was at around 60% health. Throw a Pokéball?
Hit Lileep with a Pokéball, the sea lily Pokémon flinching as it was hit by something it had no idea what it was. After a flash of light, it was carried inside the ball. The ball dropped to the cavern floor.
It shook once, then twice, then thrice…

‘I’m imagining. In just a bit of time, be they months or years…’ Joshua’s voice could be heard behind her. He had just come out from the Frozen Cave proper that was the opening back there, had probably seen some part of Erika’s battle there, smiling as he was gesturing up into the air in a semi-dramatic pose, earphones currently removed. ‘You’ll be a powerful and respected Pokémon trainer, with grace and confidence in her steps while holding a serious yet caring expression. Backed by the strength of your Pokémon, you’ll be a beauty to behold, with people standing in awe looking at your form… while you still retain all the properties that make you cute~!’ … Joshua was going off a rail, smiling widely.
On his right shoulder stood Pikachu, waving happily to Erika. On the ground beside him stood a new thing. A dark-colored standing thing with sharp claws, fierce eyes and red feather-like things sticking out behind the ear and as its tail.
Pokédex Entry #215 – Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. It scales trees and ice by punching its hooked claws into surfaces. Naturally vicious, it gangs up and cooperates to lure away the parents while another steals the eggs, which they then eat, though frequently betray their packmates if they can get the food for itself. It uses the shroud of night to conceal its actions.
‘Erika, this is Sneasel. Isn’t he just the coolest?’ Joshua asked, gesturing at the Pokémon beside him. Sneasel, on cue, jumped, spinning 360 degrees in the air, then landed on bent legs right shoulder forward while both hands pointed backwards, in a dramatic pose, while smirking. ‘Niiiice!’ Joshua smirked happily, holding a thumb up to Sneasel.
‘Did it go well for you?’ he then asked, looking to her.
Erika’s reactions and actions?
1. Find Pokémon. Note, there are more Pokémon in the tunnels than here. Unless you’re specifically searching the ice? 2. Talk. This is basically a small settlement. They probably know a bit about mining in ice! 3. Move along. Either out of the cave, or deeper into it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Not many, but there’s a small base here! 6.1. Miner’s Lodge. For maps, getting info or tools and learning how to mine! 6.2. Miner’s Shop. Skip all the hard work of actually mining and buy what the miners are selling! Varies every day! 6.3. Comfy Igloo. If you just want to rest, have a chat, relax, restore health. 7. Area Specific: Mining. People here mine the ice for items and Pokémon caught in the ice. You could too!
Connected areas: Route 5. Exit the mines and you’ll be right there. Frozen Cave. The Frozen Cave proper awaits beyond the mine.
So, using that mental link between one another, Dodrio had a conversation that sounded roughly like this.
Joy - “Tsk. Not worth the risk.” Sorrow - “She’s trying to manipulate us to get us out of her way.” Anger - “Yeah, I don’t like you two right now, but being used like this is stupid.” Joy - “Hey, how about we lure a herd of Tauros at them?” Anger - “Oooh, sounds like fun. Let’s do it~!” Sorrow - *silent approval*
My apologies to Amelia’s heart. Still, I couldn’t have just nothing happen on Route 6.
@Rune_Alchemist Washa, there’s a lot to keep track of in battle circumstances. Yeah, um. If you have questions or statements about what’s going on or how I’m going on about doing it, shout at me.
@Pikmin Eye So, yeah. I do want some of these random events to happen every now and then, just to color the world. Anyways, yeah. Onwards?
@Pirouette I’m just going to say, I roll the levels of the Pokémon excavated from the ice. You’ve been rather lucky.
So, question to self. Does Lileep make noises? … Sure. Why not? XD
Oh, and if for some reason you don't throw a Pokéball, ignore the last part. I just kinda went like "if that's what she's doing, I might as well speed up the process".
Yeah... no. It might be because I'm in the worst mood possible because I've had a couple terrible days, meaning it might just be down to terrible timing on your part for circumstances you had no knowledge of, but I... don't feel like it. You've been kind of unresponsive to many of the things I've said, not giving your reasoning for things you want and just doing the barest minimum edits to attempt getting approved, and that one sentence up there that I quoted to me reads simply as an attempt to garner sympathy by being intentionally self-defeating and I really don't like it. I don't feel like I'm exaggerating saying if you hadn't said that, I wouldn't necessarily have been writing this right now. It feels like if I let you play it's going to lead to more problems down the line, which I don't feel like dealing with. These past few days has also considerably decreased my desire to have another player, maybe partly because I'm already lagging behind.
With that in mind, please consider the "Full" join status on this roleplay for what it is. Thank you for showing interest. I'm sorry. Good luck with future endeavours.
@Joshua Tamashii Nicely posted. I'll have a response soon enough.
@Rune_Alchemist Nicely posted. Alright, I'll see how I have the rest react.
@Pikmin Eye Nicely posted. Okay. Now to get into Gothita's mind a little. Heh.
... Anyway. I'll try to have a post up in 15 to 24 hours, I want to because you're my precious players and I want to give you more, but right now I can't guarantee anything due to the state of things. Yikes, I'm tired.
Anyways. I wrote some comments for the new guy. Here you go.
@SupernovaBlitz I'm kind of perplexed as to why your quotes don't work. I mean, it even detects the quote and snippets it when I quote your quoting post. Oh, well.
Hm. You’re putting me in a bit of a spot here as I have to figure out who these evil people were, what the hell they were doing and why, how they were funded and later discovered, what happened to the other at least 67 Pokémon as well as where the evil men might be now, and why on earth they’d recolor the Pokémon and brand it. That kind of hints that they were never intending this Pokémon to see the light of day and that they had terrible tastes. Usually you just clip an animal’s ear with a tag, they went full on with branding? And why are the colors there? If you have ideas about that, feel free to send them to me in a PM. That’d be plot-things nobody else would know, after all. Also, what did you intend “SCI5” to mean? Because right now, I have no idea. Oh, and expect a lot of strange looks if you have that Pokémon with you when out travelling. … And what on earth’s going to happen when she evolves?
A replica Pokéball, huh? Well, that's basically a toy. Yeah, sure, she can have that.
I must admit I am a little worried that you’d call your Pokémon your “lover”. I’m not going to decline it, but, let’s -not- explore those limits, okay? XD
Aaaaaaaaand I got to bring up the bracelet/watch again. That he made it is certainly better than it falling from the sky in a capsule, I don’t even know where you got that from and would happily hear it, but it’s still not, like, realistic, even for the Pokémon World. Does it, like, absorb the technology? How does it work? Do you press a button and a full-sized Pokédex springs up from it with a beam of energy like a Pokéball for machines? Or do you get a full Pokédex, but with a much smaller and inconvenient screen so you barely see what’s on it? did you have any specific intentions of what else except a Pokédex you were going to integrate?
Because I’m having a tough time considering why I should allow you to have this item that so clearly borders what’s reasonable. If you present a cool enough case, sure. But right now, if you simply wanted to use the watch in the image for something can’t it just be a cool watch that can be connected to your actual Pokédex so it draws functions from the actual Pokédex instead of, like, absorbing it or whatever it’s doing? The Pokédex is already supposed to be your all-tools-in-one thing, you know. It’s already a phone as well. Anyways, that’s my comments right now.
I was trying to write a reply, but I just ran out of time.
But I'll mention I'm under the impression that this Vulpix was saved by evil men, left in Kalmia's care, and then she was supposed to give it to him, probably to ensure she gets a real trainer to care for her. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, one can use if one doesn't want code to actually do anything. Like I just did on the very code to use it. Heh.
@SupernovaBlitz The heck do you mean "love Pokémon for more than is socially allowed"? This is the Pokémon World! Basically everyone loves Pokémon! I don't think there's any social limits on loving Pokémon here! Or do you mean he does immoral experiments on Pokémon the general public would have issue with, or what? XD
That said, I think I would prefer if the hider included his name in front, with perhaps some fluff after if you so wish. The link to his image doesn't work as intended, I have to remove a ".com", which is more than I should.
I will say the first-person all-blue paragraph of background might not have had the effect you were going for. It felt like unnecessary padding when I just wanted the information. Quotes for flavoring can be used in-between sections, but like this it dragged.
So his name is Steven and had a tutor named Stevenson? Heh. Okay. Well, that is perfectly plausible.
Alright, so he trained for months before actually being given his own Pokémon. A little excessive, but alright. Anything to become as efficient a Pokémon trainer as possible, I assume. This background is accepted. *turns to look at fairly well-sculpted world* ... Now to figure out where those parents fit into this.
"a strange bracelet/watch that allows him to integrate technology into it, such as a pokedex, found in a capsule that fell from the sky" - I'm, uh, confused. That one came out of nowhere. Honestly, I might even have considered it if you said he MADE it, because he's that much of a scientific genius, but you're saying it literally fell out of the sky? No explanation? Why do you even need it, it's not like I'm burdening the others with needing to mind how they're carrying all the things in their inventories? I'm afraid that until I know the answers to that I cannot allow you to have this item.
It is the intention that the players is to determine who their first Pokémon that they receive from Kalmia is, even if the character themselves won't know. Now, you didn't claim anywhere that you were done, but you did say you posted it here for review, so I'll say that. Unless you for some reason want me to pick your first Pokémon, make the sheet for that one, too, following the rules in the first OOC page.
