"Ye've a mind for debts." The Dwarf mused, then pursed his lips and nodded. It seemed he thought it was a fine quality. He pulled up a chair without asking. The rough and ready Sergeant called for one more round of Ale for the three of them. He was a working man now, might as well. Plus with the job Johan would provide, he could afford a little bit more crowns down the drain.

"My thanks, manling." The Dwarf said, then looked to Hilde next. "Have ye two been to the Gunnery school?" he asked. It was less than half a mile down the way. The daily gunfire that heralded the different times of the day were quite audible if one was outside, even still fairly noticeable inside. "We've walked passed it." Cerdic said. The Dwarf turned to him. "Me cousin Thorin Thunderhammer worked there as an engineer until a year ago."

"What happened to him? Why is he not there?" The Sergeant asked. The Dwarf scowled. "He's dead," He chugged a pint of Ale, and then continued after a belch. "Don't know how. I came to find out myself, but the damned bastards won't let me in to question his superiors. Last I heard they were trying out some experiments of various powders, and then I get word he was slain." The next noise to come out of the Dwarf was a sigh, before he seemed to recall something. He held out his meaty hand for both of them to shake. "Thraggi Thunderhammer."

Colin Nelson had survived thus far, and was fully intending to help everyone else do the same. He gave chase with the rest of the team, firing crackshots every now and then, shooting off limbs and heads with expert, if erratic precision. The young man fell in beside the rest of the team behind the Gallian Tank. He saw another private checking his ammo, and Crackshot did the same. He had gone through about a quarter of it, he would guess. Not so bad so far. His ears twitched at the sound of Corporal Hunt speaking. Colin almost felt a kinship with his superior officer now, having been taking out these Imps alongside him in a few short, albeit fierce minutes of combat. "So I just go up the middle once the plan is enacted with the rest?"

"Hmmm?" Alcander looked over to see Claire and Cass reunite. He followed Joel and Claire, looking back at Amber as he led himself away with a shrug. He suddenly came to a realization that something was wrong initially when Claire chided them, but Cass explaining it had him understanding the situation more. That sucked.

He was going to wait for her to reach a stopping point as they were speaking so he could say hi and then maybe work around to mention the birthday thing. It wasn't to be just yet, he supposed. She focused on Joel first, so he closed his mouth and looked to the new guy. He liked Joel, he realized. He was a cool dude in Alc's book.

Calanon nodded and tore off a sizeable chunk of the jerky, handing it to Satilla. "Of course." he said happily. "It's quite good. Salty, but tasty and filling." The Elf continued to eat a bit of his own heartily, feeling fuller and fuller as he did so. It didn't take very much to sate his appetite. He would perhaps enjoy something else as well, but it was not needed. Brogach thankfully was content with the foliage around them.

His mood grew a bit more sour from the trail of dead Sana brought back, but he reminded himself again that it was the way of life. His own jerky had come from the sick and dying, whom he did his best to lay to rest and used their bodies so as not to waste them. Perhaps those animals were treated as such as well. He perked up when he saw Kyra head out to them, her face somewhat worried perhaps? Honey going out of control amused Calanon as much as Satilla, and he gave a light laugh.
