Current Nihilism is freedom. To be without purpose is to be free of the oppression of destiny. To be without cause is to be free to make your own. Woe to he who has an outside reason to be. For he is a slave.

Let's not go too far off the deep end. They do have to fit inside the box. And in spite of just how big this thing is, and it's big, it can actually be kind of cramped in here.

I can agree to that compromise.

But life is empty. Always has been and always will be. It's just a way to pass the time until you die and vanish forever into blissful oblivion. So like don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Of course not. But you can't consistently get it out of human writers either. That's why you read all the millions of manuscripts sent to you by would be Tolstoys and Tolkiens and pick the good stuff.

Bio

Long ago in the distant past there was only color. Color to be loved, to be hated, color to please thoughts and corrupt minds. Color to color but newer shape. And than one day everything changed. We do not speak of this event nor of the times thereafter. For they were dark times when color took shape and shape rejected color. To this day the two remain separate, ever touching but newer becoming one. With one exception.

What you see before you is the purple cube of the cosmos. The merger of shape and color and ultimate avatar of the color purple in its physical form. Its N-dimensional form exists beyond your comprehension leaving but a shadow in the form of a cube for you to perceive. A cube with right angles and yet no sharp edges.

It's guardian, a being of it and yet distinct from it and one with it all at the same time dwells within. Or perhaps they dwell together, or just dwell. The later is most certainly true these days a the cube orbits earth having after an eternity in space discovered the internet and its endless supply of cat videos. Now the two orbit hungrily in search of satellites to consume so as to feed its insatiable hunger for cute.

I feel like power is so incredibly inconsistent in the general Dragon Ball medium that it shouldn't define anything in a roleplay, anyway. Motivation and purpose seems to matter more than powerlevels do and any power-boost anyone gets is completely relied on why they need them.

I couldn't agree more.
Really this whole series of my posts is more to do with the fact that I am a software engineer by trade and heart so you can expect me to at times get massively carried away at overly detailing my ideas for something even if (especially if actually) that leads to me writing a wall of text trying to get my point across that only ever serves to make things more confusing for everyone involved via information overload. xD

Like feel free to treat anything I say in the OOC portion as non cannon until it happens in game.

On the plus side I only ever babble about things I care about. :)

But could she hypothetically kienzan someone in two and / or come in with the clutch senzu bean for the enemy who's gonna kill the heavy hitters son

I deliberately made her without a heavy finishing move type of attack. Although if and when I unlock a transformation I might want to change that. But if you let her bombard someone with her rapid fire attacks for the same duration as it takes to load up and deliver one of those (Like have you seen the load times on a Kamehameha? It's like he is downloading the power through a 56k modem!) the overall damage delivered should be comparable. Those attacks are not a joke even if they can't quite crack planets like some of you can.

Really though the primary difference is that she is not so weak that someone can just slap her down like the villains often do to supporting cast characters. A single hit, even a powerful one is not going to just put her down even if she does have less HP than our super sayans.
Oni girl is Krillin.

Comparatively true. She isn't useless like him though. Like, she might not be able to solo the highest hitters on the team but she can give them a good run for their money. Even if a SS is going to eventually win every time. And this means that she can keep any opponent tired and busy for long enough to make sure one of you can spend the necessary 10 minutes charging one of your mega super attacks and stay in contact until the last second to ensure it connects before dodging out in the last second to safety with a big smile on her face.
We have at least one Super Saiyan right off the bat, and you're surprised that we're at roughly Freeza level?

You've got me there. :)

As to where I stand I basically envisioned my character as a higher tier member of the DBZ supporting cast if that makes sense. That's why I deliberately set out that transformations are an option but she isn't there yet. Going my equivalent of Super Sayan is going to basically take a character arc. :) I am aiming basically to be mid tier as far as the party is concerned as my role in big fights is often going to be as a distraction to let the heavy hitters land a powerful finishing blow.

Also, I probably didn't make it clear enough but basically I wanted her sensing abilities to be above average on account of magical horns. Mostly to offset the fact some of us can't sense energy at all.

Also it's very refreshing that this forum does not have built in smilies.
Hmmm, OK fair enough. Your character's bio didn't give much frame of reference for how strong she'd be so I wasn't sure. I hadn't really suggested how strong Velona would be is all, never mind the fact that power level suppression is a common thing in DB. Thanks for clarifying.

Basically as far as backstory goes I imagine her being in a similar position to Krilin story vise. She is not THE big hero of her planet, but is bloody powerful as far as they go. Just not good enough to be in the big finals and to be the Goku everyone looks up to. Than again her worlds equivalent to Goku failed to stop the world from blowing up.

But I will admit to have misjudged the power level of this game. I was rather surprised at the fact some of us seem to be flat out powerful enough to beat up some DBZ villains that Goku had trouble with. Like that stunned me. I expected villains on that level to be something we'd all have to team up to barely defeat as was done in the original show.

Like at this point who can actually stand against us? Goku him self?
Bold to assume our powerlevels my dude, though I wonder what she considers big.

Big as in not civilian but someone that can give me an equal level fight at least. Remember, she is from a world much like Earth where 99% of people don't even register on the scale and cant fight. So just the fact she felt anything is a source of interest. I am basically inspired by the original Dragonball series for her background more than DBZ or any of the expansions beyond that.

But than again she thinks she is probably already dead and thus has no fear. Like, it would have been fun if someone actually started a fight. xD
Sorry it took so long. Hours of ISO certification lectures and meetings to figure out why we are running out of time on our projects when we are using it all so productively with ISO certification lectures and meetings which absolutely must contribute to our projects tend to dull my mind.

And yes, she genuinely does think she is probably in hell.

Also since I don't do images I figured I'd throw in enough of a detailed description for you to imagine her properly.
@Double@KillamriX88

As the two drew closer they could, finally, get a good look at the figure before them. She was young, in her mid 20's it appeared and quite athletic. The sort of build that comes not from body building or careful shaping of ones flesh through recreation and sport but from many years of hard merciless training.

Her height was slightly larger than the average woman, not enough to be considered abnormally tall but rather just sufficiently enough to trigger the thought. In terms of apparel she was dressed simply, wearing from the bottom up a pair of white shoes, tight pink trackpanths each leg of whom bore two thin white stripes on their outer side traveling the long slender path to her abdomen where they gave way seamlessly to a simple white shirt with short sleeves and a neck cut just large enough to imply but not reveal her well developed chest. Her arms were bare bellow the shoulder where they met her long, strait pink hair through which just above her ears protruded two short, upwardly curved horns polished to perfection and sharpened to a point.

There was however something else. For although she seemed happy enough or maybe because of there was something strange about this girl just walking through the ruins. Indeed, maybe it was the fact she seemed happy enough to be here. What with the overall demeanor of a tourist more than a refugee and a soft smile that just casually sat on her face as she looked around somewhat disinterested at the burned out husks of what once were houses. Or maybe it was the fact that she didn't give them a second thought even as they flew toward and landed in front of her. In fact that was probably it.

And for her part she really didn't. Mia could sense the two coming from a mile away which was in truth the reason she had taken this path. But that choice had been motivated not by the usual mix of emotions one experiences when detecting two very powerful individuals but by curiosity. After all, she figured, they were no danger. What were they going to do? Kill her again? Still, as they landed and spoke to her she had to admit that after getting one planet blown away from under her politeness was a nice change of pace. And so Mia did what she did best and replied with a smile.
"Nope." She said shaking her head. "I'm as lost as you are."
"Name is Mia, by the way. Nice to meet you."
"So, how did you two die?"

She said all of this within a single, fluid whole newer skipping a beat or loosing her smile even as she plainly inquired about the circumstances of their deaths. And yet she did so not in jest but with all sincerity made apparent by her friendly but utterly serious tone. So serious in fact that it might make one wonder if she was on to something with this death thing after all.
