as a patreon reward I will read your least favorite person's handmade custom tabletop RPG homebrew and ask them why they didn't just run it in 5e instead

I started RP before double digit age but you couldn't have gotten an admission I was under 18 under threat of death. Kids just casually admiting it online now is wild.
Well, that was a bit of a commotion. Something screaming about a Magnemite, apparently. Sheesh, whoever it was sounded high-strung too. After a moment of deliberation, Alisa rose from her seat. Whatever that was about, it would probably be more entertaining than just sitting around here.
"Cmon, boy." She waved Lanza over to her side, the Honedge floating next to her with a "BOOP" sound. "Whatever that is, beats sitting here waiting for something to happen."
Alisa watched and waited while someone else approached the commotion first, taking note of the Noibat perched atop the Magnemite as well as the other girl spoke up first. Carmen...? The name sounded familiar, and now that she thought about it, so did the look. Wait...
"Wait, I know you!" Alisa piped up, pointing a finger at the girl from behind. "Yeah, that's right! I've seen a few of your battles on the internet. Not bad, actually!" She grinned, giving both Roxanne and Arthur a wave. "Name's Alisa, by the way. She ain't wrong, either. Nothing to get worked up over yet. What's your name anyway, buddy?" She inquired towards Arthur in particular. "The Noibat yours? Rare choice for a starter, but I guess I can't talk, considering Lanza here." Alisa chuckled, jerking a finger at the Honedge, who simply bobbed up and down in midair in response.
Really, she would have preferred to still be out in the streets, dancing and partying the night away. Still, Alisa bobbed her head to the beat that could be heard from within the stadium as she reclined on a couch next to Lanza.
"Sheesh. Kind of sucks we have to be in here instead of out there, huh?" She remarked offhandedly to the Honedge, who only hovered up and down for the moment before giving a "BOOP" sound. "Oh, well." Alisa continued on, her mouth lifting up in a slight grin. "It's what's after tonight that matters, anyways. This's what we've been training for!"
Alisa's attention turned towards the same display a certain Dragon trainer was watching, tilting her head in thought. She did remember following last year's Gym Challenge closely, as she had every year since she was a kid. Sure, that bunch had been spirited, but the last few gyms just filtered them out too well. Ah, well. She, Lanza, and whatever Pokemon they teamed up with along the way would just have to train hard enough that they didn't meet the same fate.
"You hungry, boy? I know there's not much negative emotion around tonight for a Ghost like you to feed off of, but maybe some of the other competitors're nervous enough to count." She glanced back over towards the Honedge, who quietly shook back and forth horizontally, mimeing a 'no' motion. Really, that was the convenient thing about Ghost types. Most fed off some kind of emotion, not needing much in the way of solid food. A good battle would generate enough for Lanza to feed off of, but she supposed they had to behave themselves tonight. Alisa sighed at the thought.
"Man, this sucks that we have to wait around in here..." She whined out loud.
Appearance: Stands at about 5'6 and 131 pounds. Prefers to wear clothing that's more casual in style.
Personality: Cheerful and hot-blooded, Alisa welcomes excitement and challenge. She's constantly seeking thrills, having a craving for adventure. Energetic in general, Alisa has a zest for life and is generally friendly towards most people at first glance, thinking nothing of a casual battle just to test each other's abilities and just for fun.
Unlike what her personality would imply at first glance, though, Alisa is more cunning than she looks. In both life and battle, she's not one to let an opportunity pass her by. Outright research and study isn't her forte, but she's rather adept at lateral thinking and creative approaches. She prefers to stay versatile in battles, mixing in tricks and misdirection alongside brute force.
Short Biography: Born and raised in Jubilife to a pair of professional Pokemon breeders, Alisa was raised alongside Pokemon since she was young. Her parents made their living breeding competitive Pokemon for career Trainers, and so Alisa grew up interacting with both Pokemon and professional Trainers, hearing stories of battling and adventure from visiting aces whenever they came to pick up their Pokemon.
As she grew older, Alisa found herself helping her parents with their breeding business. Outside of providing freshly bred Pokemon for professionals, her parents also had a brisk side business of an ordinary Pokemon Day Care's functions, which included light training. Alisa took the job seriously, ensuring that at the very least, Pokemon left with her parents' business didn't have their skills and experience atrophy from idleness.
In her free time outside of school and work, Alisa wound up at a local battling facility in Jubilife that specialized in supplying rented Pokemon, given that she wasn't allowed to borrow Pokemon being raised by her parents. As it turned out, listening to professional Trainers since childhood meant that she at least had some idea of what she was doing in a battle, and Alisa quickly started racking up wins and making a name for herself in the local circuits.
It was at one of these rental tournaments that Alisa caught the eye of one of her parents' clients. The pro Trainer and former Gym Challenger hadn't realized that her local breeders' daughter was at least competent, and this quirked her interest enough that she arranged Alisa's sponsorship into the next year's Gym Challenge.
Alisa was delighted when she found out, having wanted to strike out on her own adventure for years. Her parents were slightly more reserved on the matter, but arranged to have a Pokemon for her by the time the competition started. They gifted her with a recently-hatched Honedge, given her fondness for Aegislash, and Alisa spent the next few months until the Gym Challenge began bonding with the newly-dubbed Lanza.

[Date of Birth] 12th of the Withered Moon, Divine Year 762
[Appearance Information] Stands at about 6'1. Has a decent amount of muscle and broad shoulders, weighing in at 190 pounds. Skin tone is fairly average, not particularly tan nor pale either way. Wears the standard uniform, but with a short white side cape mantled on his left shoulder.
[Personality] Stern and focused, Theodoric treats his duty as both a knight and a landed noble with the utmost importance, throwing himself into his studies of war and governance. Orderly, efficient, and composed, Theodoric looks down upon excessive arrogance and ostentatious displays, being a good deal more subdued in his interactions. One wouldn't be able to tell his family's wealth from his possessions, with his preferred sword being more functional than fashionable and his preferred clothing being light, practical garments. The only concession he makes to vanity is his fondness for capes, and his only vices are good wine and imported coffee.
Despite his understanding of the political field and the knowledge that one day he could potentially wind up being the Speaker of the Concorde, Theodoric bears little taste for politics and desperately hopes he is never chosen for the position. If given the choice, he would vastly prefer remaining on his family estate, overseeing Marlon's lands and people.
[Personal History] In truth, Theodoric had never been the preferred heir to House Marlon. The bloodline was stronger in his elder sister, Gwendolyn, given that she possessed a Major Crest of Marlon compared to Theodoric's Minor Crest. That, and her influence in the political arena had many observers whispering that she would have been a strong candidate for the next Speaker should she inherit House Marlon before the current one passed. However, after graduating from the Officers' Academy, Gwendolyn went missing on a routine patrol when Theodoric was but ten years of age, and after months of fruitless searching, the title of heir passed to the young boy.
Before becoming heir, Theodoric had been a rather carefree child, but upon his sister's disappearance, the boy was forced to grow up rather quickly. He threw himself into his studies and his training, seeking to match the expectations his parents had of Gwendolyn once upon a time. Years later, most accounts would suggest he'd been successful. Theodoric may not have had his sibling's charm, but his abilities in the fields of knighthood and administration were just as good as the previous heir's. Still, this wasn't enough for him. After learning all he could from what tutors that House Marlon could find, the next logical step was the Officers' Academy. Theodoric seeks to become as worthy a leader as he can for House Marlon, its subject people, and its lands.
