Good news, I'm not failing out of my cooking course tomorrow! Bad news, it's only because I nearly sliced a chunk off my finger practicing for it and needed stitches.

It's days like today that I truly believe this ADHD is both a blessing AND a curse.

Fallen? With the way his character had been developing by the time it died, I would’ve assumed he was basically All Might/Captain America by now! He should be more popular than ever!
@Jumbus
Who needs a clone? Just bring back the OG! Then he can look at Leon’s personality and cringe at how he used to look to everyone else!

"Well you'd better not lie then!" Jeremy signed enthusiastically. "It'd be a real bummer if you died right after I got back!"

He turned to Ludwig, listening to his explanation of his squirrel companion and why he'd come to Gravity Falls. So, the guy was a fellow mystery hunter just like him huh? Perfect! Most of the time it seemed like Sid was the only one who ever really believed most of what he said, actually being there to witness a lot of it, but now he might be able to drag in someone else as well!

Speaking of whom, he quickly turned to face the monochrome girl as she called out to him, describing the situation with the new person she was trying to bring in, which probably wasn't purely for the twenty-five dollars being offered...

"Well, I'd hardly call myself 'the manliest dude around', but sure!" He said with a wide grin. "Anyone who's interested in the mysteries around Gravity Falls is good in my book! I think we might be going to the Mystery Shack first, but after that I'll show you anything you want! Or, anything I already know about at least..."

And that was when he heard another familiar voice, and turned just in time for Jack to tackle him in a hug. This may have been a bad move, as Jeremy's smile somehow managed to widen even further, and he returned the bear hug with enough strength to lift his old friend a full foot off the ground, arguably with the strength of an actual bear.

"Jack! You're here! I was beginning to get worried you might've struck off on your own!" He laughed loudly, before letting the poor teenager back on the ground again. "Yeah, it's been about eight years since I left. Really though? Are you sure? I think you might be a little taller than me still..."

This was naturally a joke, as he was very clearly close to a whole head taller than the other boy.

"That being said though, I do have a suspicion or two that I might've had a minor growthspurt at some point. Not really sure though."

God Jeremy hated flying...

Why HERO couldn't just have had a nice, safe headquarters on the ground like they used to, he didn't understand. One engine issue, either accidental or intentional, and all HERO's leadership could be taken out just like that! He didn't think he'd ever really get it. Other people seemed to find it cool, or inspiring, but he much preferred the stability of solid earth.

"Whoa, this s so cool! I've never been in a real aircraft before! Do you get to do this all the time here Mr Stray?!"

He sighed at the voice that came from beside him, turning to look at his young companion.

"Yeah, I 'get to.'" He sighed. "I personally don't think there's any funner experience than sitting in a tiny metal tube hurtling through the sky, with absolutely no control of whether I live or die."

Graham paused for a moment, tilting his head to the side as he tried to figure out why his teacher had phrased it like that. It didn't sound very fu-

"Oh! Wait! That was 'sarcasm' right?" He asked, feeling pretty confident he'd gotten it. He was proven correct when the old man let out an actual smile, if only a tiny one.

"Well, wouldja look at that. You're really starting to get the hang of it, aren't you?"

"Yeah!" The shapeshifter said happily, adjusting his glasses to keep them from falling off when he bounced in place. "I could tell because the stuff you said didn't sound like you enjoyed it at all. Also you smell like fear."

Jeremy decided to ignore that last comment, instead nodding to him.

"Good. That's progress. Don't get too ahead of yourself though, that was an easy one. Starting today, you're going to have to talk to new people on your own, without me around to come and save you. If you don't want to get tricked again, you'll need to keep working on it, got it?"

"Right! I won't let you down Mr Stray sir!" Graham said, grinning so widely that Jeremy half expected his face to split in half.

Jeremy half winced at the response, though he couldn't quite help the small smirk that appeared on his own face at the same time.

"God, don't call me sir, I'll break out in hives..." He said, before feeling the thump of the vtol landing at the academy, sighing in relief. "Well, looks like we made it in one piece. Ready for your first mission as a hero?"

"I think so!" Graham answered, only hesitating slightly. "I'll do my best!"

"Well, sounds good enough to me." Jeremy said with a nod. "Alright, let's get going. Time to show the world the real Graham."

It was only a short walk from the landing pad to the docks, where it looked like Principal Lee was busy greeting the other young heroes involved in the operation.

"Now Barbara, please. I know it's been a year, but you aren't telling me you've gotten senile enough to forget my face already, are you?" Jeremy asked with a chuckle, before looking down to Graham and nodding.

The bespectacled boy nodded back, and approached the principal.

"Hey, I'm Graham! I've been travelling with Mr Stray as his apprentice for the last year, so I'm hoping I can be a decent hero like the rest of you guys. If there's anything I can do, just let me know!"

Jeremy nodded faintly, almost imperceptibly to anyone who hadn't already been watching for it. Sure, the introduction might've gotten a little stiff around the middle depending on who you asked, but it was a lot better than when they'd first met at least.

"Please, Blaze, mind your language. They're just misguided, I'm sure. Not to mention we're also in a school." He said, before turning back to Lee. "But yeah, unfortunately I didn't get a whole lot of information on these kids from the Director before she sent us down here. What can you tell me about the misguided little bastards?"
Shit, I know this is probably a bad idea with everything else I’m in, but I kind of want to join this. I need something to fill the gap while I wait for the next Revengers chapter.
Alright, and here's Jeremy! I don't know if I made part of it make less sense, it's now officially too late for my brain to work properly.

Alright, here's Gray. Let me know if he's bad or not.

Chatak Claybitah

@Thinslayer

["It was passable."] Chatak said as Shaktak joined him. ["To achieve my goals, I'll need to be a lot better than that."]

He turned to the other goblin, Kolgat, and nodded.

["Anyone you can spare. Smiths, architects, stone masons, we could use anything and everything. I understand that the Witch may be wary of parting with them, but in a way, this supports her end goal as well. She requires a strong nation to fight the voidspawn, and with these craftsmen, I will be able to continue working towards that end."]

It was unfortunate that he never actually got to speak to any of the humans whose freedom he'd negotiated, hoping that maybe they'd be grateful enough to connsider joining him, but he supposed this wasn't so bad either. At least they were free, and it looked like he was still going to get some good workers out of it in the end too! Still, it would've been nice to get some human craftsmen as well, if for no other reason than to finally actually make his goal of a community where monsters and humans work together more than just words and wishful thinking.

["Also, can any of them read maps well?"] He asked as an afterthought. ["Because my companions and I may not be able to return to our village just yet, so they may need to make their way on their own."]
