4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

@LmpkioWhelp, all I have to say now is . . . *raises arms up* Come at me bro, give Argus your best shot!
@Lmpkio . . . I wish I could talk to my characters sometimes, so I could apologize to them for the shit I put them through.
@LmpkioThat works too, I guess. It'd certainly get him out of his funk, that's for sure.
@LmpkioI'm not sure how Argus would react to Sayatachi, but Nidhogg would take one look at her and say "Hmm, I always like my meals to have a little garnish, though I think this one has a tad too much flair for it to be of any true value."
@Oblivion666Argus is now free, so if you're interested . . .

@LugubriousI think that the ones focused on characters and implying things are pretty applicable, and everything seems like they could be added in, though to lesser degrees due to the nature of how Roleplay tends to function, but I don't think that any of them are completely at odds with it.
Nidhogg

A small smile danced across Nidhogg face as he saw the three young ones cower in fear in his presence. While they had nothing to truly fear from him, as he'd taken a liking to all of them, he never let them know that. It was always good to make sure that they never got to comfortable with him, as he knew that the second Georgie wasn't a constant danger to his well being, he'd likely devour them all. The thought of their pint-sized guild master dampened his smile a tad,but he cleared it from his head for now, turning his attention back to the woman, raising an eyebrow as her heard her complain about Arthur trying to keep the others in line. "Oh, is that so? Arthur, while I'm sure that Georgie appreciates your puppy-like devotion to her, you should remember to relax enjoy yourself. No need to be so tense all of the time. Besides, you should realize that nothing is going to come of you trying to gain the affection of the psychotic bitch, right?"

Nidhogg made no attempt to hide the hatred that enters his voice as he spoke of their guild master, the more he thought about her, the deeper the scowl that was beginning to form on his face became. However, when Jessica came over, unabashedly unafraid of him as she normally was, he took a slight breath. "I should take my own advice and just enjoy the coming battles. It has been a while, indeed Jessica. Been busy doing errands for Georgie for the past month or so, suppressed to be doing one now in fact, but how could I miss the final day of the first Grand Magic Games in years. If she has a problem with it, she can come and tell me herself. I'm always glad to . . . debate with her." He tussled Jessica's hair a bit, a small smirk on his face, before he looked between Anya and the rest of them, finality noticing how she had greeted them and how the new woman had greeted Anya in return. "OH, so you've all met Anya before, then that saves me the trouble of having to introduce her. I met her while I was lazing about in the Phoenix Wing section. I believe we're currently engaged in a small game, where she tries to strip my clothes in order to find my guild mark, and I try to make it as difficult as possible for her. I made it in jest, but she's taken to it with a somewhat worrying level of determination, it makes me fear to be alone with her. Who knows what she'd do to me in a dark alley."

Nidhogg spoke in an over-dramatic tone, taking a mock pose of fear in the presence of Anya, before collapsing into a small fit of chuckles. Once he had finished , he turned his attention back to the woman, wondering whether or not he should kill her. The way she had mentioned Arthur's need to keep people out of trouble had set off some alarm bells in his head, but killing a mage was never a quiet affair and the last thing he wanted right now was to draw unwanted attention. Besides, she could be a potential recruit, as Shadow Hear was always accepting. "So, madam, while I've given my own name, you've still yet to give your own. Shall I have to resort to asking one of my companions before I learn it?"

Argus Leandros

As Gabriel escaped into the trees, the only response he'd hear from Argus was a light chuckle as the marooned haired mage turned around, walking back to through the forest and continuing his way towards the camp. Another comment made of Naivety, to think that all magic is simply a tool for the caster, and is never the other way around. Argus looked at his hand, his mind flashing back to the day where he first used his maid in ernest. The rage, the hatred, the despair, everything he felt had been consumed by this vessel that had grown within him. . . and it was hungry for more. Everyday it pushed him, probing his mind for weak points in his sanity and defenses so that it could bring out those emotions again, so that it could feed more on his suffering. Feeding it the anger and negativity helped to ease the assaults, but the effect was always temporary. Sooner or later, the game would be on again, as he fought the side of himself that just wanted to give in fully to the dark magic that coursed through his veins.

[colorDarkRed]You know the words. . . you have the tome . . . you NEED the power . . . ascend, Argus, ascend to divinity so that nothing and no one can ever be taken from you again.

The voice of his other side came again, whispering in his mind and filing his mind with images and feelings he had long since gave up on trying to bury in the depth of his subconscious. The dark exhilaration as his blade cut through flesh, as he saw the yes of his foe glaze over, the life draining from them as the crowd around him roared with a primal shout. He had said he was forced to kill, and that had been true . . at first. But as the days turned to months, and the months to years, he felt something in him embrace the savagery of the arena. He felt a part of him want to lose the last vestige of humanity, to fully devote themselves to the act of killing. If not for his sister . . . he would've long given in. She had kept him human, kept him honest, reminded him of what he needed to be if he ever wanted to truly be free of that place.

And what did that get you? What did that get her? You killed all of your closest friends for her, and what did that accomplish but your own guilt and her death! You are weak, Argus, and you'll always be weak as long as you cling to those ideals. Give in to your bloodlust, or this conflict will destroy you.

. . . yeah . . and maybe I deserve to be destroyed? What good am I, with powers that can only destroy, kill, and never truly protect anything. This magic is a perfect representation of all negative human emotions, cause eventually, if you let them, they'll lead to nothing but your own self-destruction

Argus returned to the camp lost in his thoughts, not looking where he was going and not really caring either.

@Caits
@Oblivion666Argus will be free as soon as I get a post out, though he may not be in the cheeriest of moods after his conversation with Gabriel
@liferusherHer name is Toph and she's one of the most badass characters I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Main reason why the though of a sequel is soul crushing is because I don't want to see her get Shamalyzed. It would break me.
@Silver FoxWords can't express the levels of disdain, hatred, and complete and utter revulsion that those words full me with.
Drosil Maeneld

"What is there to say about me, I'm just a Jasian mage looking to solve the mysteries of the universe . . . and find the secrets to all magic. . . and try to find away to meet my divine parent . . .and lastly . . . I don't know, find love. So yeah, nothing to special, though I feel one of those things contradicts the others." Drosil spoke slowly, growing more confident and comfortable with every word spoken. As such, since sitting around doing nothing was terribly boring, he quickly got up at flitted about the garden, calling forth small fae-like creatures to help heal the plants as he began to collect some ingredients here and there. A few of these small creatures, humanoid in their nubile forms but possessing bodies green as the leaves that surrounding them, would dance around the queen, one attempting to braid her hair, all while singing in a tongue that sounded like a breeze moving through a gentle plain. Potion making wasn't his forte, but he was always eager to try new things, plus what he did no how to make were some very strong hallucinogenic drugs that he found very relaxing and fun to take from time to time . . to time . . . to time. Okay, so he may have had a slight problem with addiction in the past, but he was fine now. He'd been clean for . . . 5 months? No, just one, but that was cause enough to celebrate, right? Moving on from that, he suddenly remembered that he was in the middle of a conversation, one which he'd rudely interrupted with silence for about 3 minutes.

"Ahem, sorry your majesty, I tend to get easily distracted by things even at the best of times. Anyway, if you wish to know about me, I'm always eager to tell, especially since you know my secret. It's been so long since I've been able to talk to someone about, not since we were taken from the orphanage really. Well, I guess Shadar counts as someone, but we can't really talk to each other. I've never even seen him, heard his voice, just his pictures and what not. He's really good as well, you should ask him to do your portrait sometime, as I'm sure it'll put your best court painter to shame. Back to the topic, we've only ever communicated from writing each other notes and memories, though memories from one another are weird. We get the sense of everything, what people look like, what been going on, and all tat, but when it comes to each other, we don't have a sense of how one of us feels about what's going on, and anytime we'd see each others forms, all I see if an inky blackness and all he sees is a shiny light."

Drosil's voice took a rather depressed tone as he talked about his brother, unable to stop thinking about how close he was to Shadar, yet how far away his brother seemed to be. It was the weirdest feeling to him, how much he felt like he knew Shadar, and yet, how much he felt like he didn't know at the same time. However, he was quick to throw those thoughts out of his head, not wanting to focus on sadness when he was entertaining a guest, nevermind if he was the guest in this instance. "Have you ever been to Jasi, your majesty, it's a beautiful place, full of so many sights, sounds, and wonders. Magic and technology are in such an abundance that it's a paradise for those inclined to such fields. . . or at least, it would be if it wasn't for some noble families being lying, cheating, backstabbing bastards who love to take the credit for the discoveries that some have worked their whole lives on, only to have these entitled piece of steaming dung to swoop in and . . ." Drosil took a breath to calm himself, knuckles having turned white around his staff as he clenched in anger. Once he felt suitably calmed down, he gave turned to face the Queen, giving a low bow of apology. "I'm sorry your majesty, I lost my temper and utter such vulgarities in your presence. i do hope I have not offended, but . . . let's just say that I have many problems with the aristocracy in my homeland and the ay they handle things. But, now isn't the time to discuss it."

Rising from his bow, Drosil walked up, recalling the nymphs with a whispered word and in the same breath, causing a seat of stone to rise up a little ways in front of Kori. Taking a seat, he took his staff and presented it to the Queen to take, giving her a smile as if to say 'go ahead, you know you want to'. "This staff was off my own creation, using the ability given to all Divineborn, the power of Creation. I specialize in magical items, my brother in the more mundane weapons of the warrior, such as his greatsword, but we both made our weapons to represent us in a way. This staff is, in it's very essence, a representation of my soul. Oh, and don't worry about breaking it, you could drop a boulder on this thing and it wouldn't get a scratch." Once the Queen took or refused his offer, he would then turn his full attention on her, a strange calm entering his features as he analyzed her, seeming to almost stare through her in a way. His golden-green eyes seemed to dance with an inner fire that, if gazed into, would entrance and hypnotize those who looked into their depths. The colors would seemed to slowly meld together, spinning around the dark void off the pupil, faster and faster until it was like a brilliant typhoon of iridescence dancing within his sockets. It would hold her until he broke the spell with his voice, inquisitive, yet gentle, like the prodding of a bird on a windowsill in the early morning.

"I've talked about myself in length, and I apologize if I have bored or otherwised bothered you. Also, if you feel it with in my position to do so, may I ask you a few questions, your majesty?"
