Getting to Japan with all her gear had been difficult, but it was worth it for the payday involved. The well paying jobs in Rio had all but dried up anyway. Either way, it was nice to be part of a crew again. Otsana took her eyes off the road to look at her phone, the map showing exactly where they needed to go. "A few clicks down this road, about 15 Minutes until we reach the MAVERICK checkpoint," she shouted back. SHe briefly caught sight of a duo in heavy armor, one of them even touching down with what looked to be a jetpack."Sweet, looks like we've got some heavy competition around here."

They didn't slow down as they passed the two on foot, too busy pulling ahead of the Jonas. Following her phone's instructions, she led them down the unpopulated streets, swerving around the occasional robot left in the road. "Jeez, someone's head is going to roll once we track down the source of the bots." Soon enough they approached the first checkpoint, slowing down to a stop.

A masked soldier with MAVERICK's logo on his helmet took one look at them and simply asked, "You here for the job?"

Otsana flashed him a smile. "Of course. Got three of us here," she motioned back to the truck, "ready to do our bit."

To soldier shrugged and just waved them through, pointing them towards a mall parking lot. "You can park over there. Head to the hot springs for more information."

Otsana nodded and gave him a two finger salute. "Thanks." As they headed over to the lot, she felt a few drops of rain his her head, making her ears flick. "Ah damnit." She looked up, another drop hitting her goggles. "Guess I'll need the tarp."

Margot watched the unfortunate opponent in blue get up from their ring out. The winner's style was clearly self taught, which was pretty unusual for a weapons user. "What a ridiculous sword, but it works for him." Margot had watched the fight from under one of upper levels, a hot can of coffee from one of the numerous vending machines in hand. Scanning the crowd some more, she spotted a good mix of humans and mythics including Fafnir, her opponent from Rio. "Oh good, he got out alive." She smirked and sipped some more of the sweet coffee down.

Scanning the rest of the crowd, she of course spotted the many many MAVERICK agents, some of them even in plain clothes, ready to nip any trouble off at the bud. She didn't need her mask to be able to spot their hidden weaponry, not that they really needed to hide them in this crowd. Also noteworthy was the sheer number of mythics in the crowd. Beyond the aforementioned dragon knight, she spotted another more blatantly draconic creature, and what appeared to be a fairy. "I better go say hello to Fafnir. See how he's holding up." Moments before she turned towards the stairs, she heard the telltale 'drip drip' of water falling on her hat, clouds forming overhead. Her mask chimed in with a weather alert from the JMA. "Hrm, that's odd. They're usually better about this." Even so, she headed downstairs to wards the rest of the crowd as they roared with the announcement of the next match.

Welcome aboard! You got the greenlight from me.

@Dead Cruiser

We do more than just banter, but yeah, we will be reposting relevant information here. Honestly it is more lively than the forum,however.

@Roughdragon1

Thanks! That's good enough fo rme. You have the greenlight.

He's pretty tanky for sure, but even body armor has its limits. Shock from getting hit, dust and sand, gas, or electricity. Really, the only type of damage he is heavily resistant against is the kinetic kind. On top of that, his attack set is exclusively hand-to-hand, lacking any ranged moves. Also, some of those attacks may not even have any effect on non-humanoid opponents. To me, this seems like a good enough reason to up his armor. However, you are a gm, so if you really want me to lower his armor I will.

Yes, thank you, please do that. It would put mind at ease.

@Savo@KaiserElectric Submitting for your official perusal
@redbaron1234 Well the thing about Vikkar is that although he is a powerful warrior, with his armor and such, he is also an outdated one. He'd been used to fighting humans exclusively, and as a result he will carry these tactics into battle, not knowing that other nomads may not even be anatomically similar to people at all, and the technology gap with some of the other nomads certainly outweighs titanium plate armor.

Essentially, think of a medieval knight going up against a pirate. The knight will slaughter the pirate in a straight on fight thanks to his armor, but the pirate has a deadly technology advantage, given his guns and grenades.

Right but in this scenario this knight has modern grade body armor on his side, on top of his Nomad level toughness.

Yes, his armor is as strong as titanium, and it will make him resistant to many physical attacks. Also, I would like to keep my moveset the same, since it makes more sense that Vikkar is more well trained to fight Humans or anatomically similar creatures.

I would be willing to accept that he uses a burst of disruptive ki or some sort of hand wave on top of the pressure point, if that is a good compromise to you. It would let you use the attacks on both human and non-human opponents.

As for his armor, that is a really big worry for me. The fact that he has Nomad Level endurance AND so many counter-moves AND armor on par with tank armor. Im worried that this might be too much, especially since he also has good attack and decent speed. Feel free to correct me, BTW. I am willing to accept that with his sickly nature that the armor is how he gets to 'parity' with other nomads, so to speak.

Aleksander:
I was talking with @KaiserElectric and @Savo and we do share the concern about Alek's strong armor. We get that he is from the future and such, but we are worried that as-is he is more or less untouchable with the armor. It sounds like he is already nomad level tough, and now he has advanced power armor on top of that (Feel free to correct me, BTW). We would like it if the armor was nerfed in some way. We came up with the idea that somehow the time travel damaged it, or otherwise it isnt operating at full capacity. Maybe the more active parts of the armor cannot hold it's "battery charge" and thus the protection weakens over the course of a battle, or it simply got damaged and Aleksander isn't in a position to repair it.
@Valor
Ashley:

The quibble I have is her moveset. I dont mind her moves being "Shoot with a rifle", "SHoot with a Deagle", and "Get more ammo for both" if you dont, but a common rule with tournaments is "No non-ki infused attacks". I'm not sure if your character is the kind to really care, but that would be a thing they would have to contend with later on.

@Roughdragon1
Vikkar:
Im fine with Vikkar's back story and fighting style. You have no issues from me.

As for his moveset, Im with Savo here. As worded several of his attacks would just flat out not work against characters that are robotic or have a radically different anatomy than a normal human. He would benefit from rewording his attacks to some explanation that would allow him to use these attacks on such characters. However if you are fine with that, or are willing to accept those as a Thing, I am fine with that. Just be aware of that.

My other big worry is about his armor. You mention it's as strong as titanium. Did you want that to be just fluff, or are characters with steel weapons going to have a hard time?

@wxps350
SYM-04:
Everything looks good, Welcome Back you freaky dude.

Ivory:
Same thing. Bring the pain!

@Lmpkio
Aleksander:

Backstory is fine, and pretty unique for this setting. Thematically pretty different from you first one at least.

My major concern is much like Vikkar, is of that armor. If it is basically bulletproof to modern weapons, how does it fare against the typical character's attack? I'm fine with Mighty Glacier characters, just wary REALLY heard to crack nuts.
