"It's less that I am carefree and more that I wish not to interfere in her life. So, for now, I am standing by the sides."

”Fareed! It is good to be seeing you cousin! What brings you all the way here from home, eh?”

There was a certain air around his distant cousin as he entered the room, something heavy. Not like rain, but like a blanket. Comfort that is hard to shed. What reason that could be was clear to the man, enforced by the feathery touches and chaste kisses shared between them.

The Danrose princess, striking as the images Fareed had seen of her if perhaps a tad bit more delicate. He had not believed the scattered rumors he had heard of their relationship, but it would seem it exists. In what state is harder to discover from mere observation.

As politeness would dictate, he is quiet upon their approach and introduction. Leaving Magnus in a breath a silence that could prove awkward had another not filled it so readily.

”You would do well to remember my duties cousin. I follow behind Ranya and mine other siblings wherever they may go, and they have found themselves here. Not to mention it was an opportune time to discuss with our other family members of their… many errors in conduct and the dangers they have put themselves through.” There is a pointed stare from his amber eyes, as if he was trying to peel back what layers made up the man known as Farim.

Hey, Red, here's the lore post link. :)

I think signatures are disabled for users by default, which is why you're probably not seeing may's links.

Honestly? The roster has been established but there’s technically 2 subcontinents available - ǟʀƈǟɖɨǟ & Bɾҽιϝɳιɾ

Please feel free to check out more lore via the link in my signature.

If you’re keen, PM me a CS submission with the template from this thread!

“"She knows that I am always in her corner. I can advise and have my opinions, but at the end of the day she is a woman, not a girl, and I will respect her autonomy."
"But full transparency, I will step in if it looks your man makes her uncomfortable. I still have some responsibility as her brother.”

”You are a much more carefree man then I. Should one of my sisters find herself in such a spot I would know the mans bloodline and hobbies going back four generations by the time they even met her. Fareed speaks plainly, watching the stiff woman talk further with Munir. She blushes like the maiden she is, making him wonder what exactly was being said.

”Though, I suppose there are worse people to experience a night with then my brother. If nothing else, she will enjoy herself until dawn. Then? Who can say what feelings may remain.”

The Princess

The Cowl Inn

It was a quaint day for Princess. The sort that ended faster than one would initially perceive, hours gone in an eyes blink.

But it was a semblance of enjoyable, a semblance of something that itches away at that need for experience. That need to find oneself.

Now here she…they sit in a bar. A place as quaint as her daily work, even if it's much cooler than that fire. Small talk filled the air like smoke, the walls had a grunge to them like soot, and she saw the same one each place she looked.

Opposed to those mixed drinks and cans of those around her, she had something more befitting her names stations. A curved glass, one befitting wine and filled with such a crimson liquor. Sips had been taken, but it mostly sat idly swirled.

"Anyway. You got plans for the weekend? Up to anything nice that doesn't involve running into burning buildings or splitting cars in two? Normal stuff? You're all people at the end of the day, this isn't some workplace sitcom that my......yeah."

Another swirl, Princess studies her glass. Noting how sticky it seemed, clinging to the glass so unlike what wine should.

“A fair question to ask, yet one I have had no forward thoughts to.” She takes a lazy lean to the side, not against the wall but again thin air. As if there was something there.

“Maybe I shall go to my cabin for a day, see how nature has treated it. Maybe I shall wander the streets alone or with my darling raven, perhaps I shall visit a gallery or draw my own art.” Princess muses, a wistful tone in her voice, but each word seems to draw color from the air. Leaving things noticeable more in shades of Grey, except her drink that seems to gain a deep hue of red.

A hum comes from deep in her chest, something orchestral. “There are many paths laid before us, we must merely pick one. Not to worry, nothing shall bar us from them all. Afterall, a path in the wood has no end just as it has no walls, the end is never…the end…” The words seem to linger, echo, her eyes tracking something not quite there as she mutters in and out of a plural reference to herself.

. "Pardon me, I couldn't help, but to notice your... disapproval of that man over there speaking to my sister. Should I be concerned?"

The man who approached was one of sturdy build, one who had the smell of oil amongst them to match that steely look in his eyes as his neck craned.

”Not so much disapproval as worry. Munir is a man with far too much heart to give and a mind too slippery to realize not all should hold it.

He turns back to the wayward brother, noting as he prances round like a bird with less rhythm.

”I would think you would have more disapproval for one who courts your sister, less so question a watcher of their ceremony.”

For a room of such size and opulence, this ‘Grand Ballroom’ was terribly stuffy. Perhaps it was a lack of airflow or the masses of conversing nobles, or that lingering spice to the air of some improperly prepared food.

Fareed was a man alone in a sea of faces, merely waiting and observing near the table of Alidasht delicacies. Not eating, watching. Amber eyes scanning across crowds, lingering on the foolish display being enacted by Munir as he seemingly flirts with yet another woman. All he can hope is that his sibling does not cause another incident or require him to step in and stop another rightfully scorned lady from stabbing the playboy. Ranyas talks of her brothers possibly manipulated mind seem to not have ground, but it would be remiss of Fareed to dismiss them outright. That rake of a sibling had been out of sight for far too long to not have fallen into some deception as he is wont to.

Regardless of possible plots, this was not an event a man such as Fareed could merely relax at. No matter what his dear siblings asked of him. The only reason he was here was to keep an eye upon that flirting fool over there and because many of them promised to attend shortly after his arrival.

Lies, most of them. Fareed was long used to them trying to deceive his wit to get him to relax, but sometimes it is a plot he must go along with. In truth he had little doubts many would be along any time soon if at all.

So he stands as a statue, watchful gaze silently seiving though these attendants.
