The mana crystal he had hoped to cling too disappeared after he reached it. He did however, feel the rush of energy return to him as he fell. The pixie momentarily lost altitude to where he was a bit more noticeable to those on the ground. He had seen the mana orbs floating around at times and knew he wasn’t the strongest or the biggest thing around here that could fly. Being wary of this Ardur tried to remain still as he regained his bearings.
Used a Mana Crystal.

All this thinking about magic did remind him of a childhood movie and a song associated with it. “What kind of magic spell to use? Slime and snails or puppy dog tails, Thunder or lightning, something frightening.” The pixie sung while flying effortlessly above the pool, twisting and dancing this way and that. Even in this rather spontaneous and playful mood he was still weary not to drift too close to the water’s surface and closer to that thing that was lurking below the water. “Dance magic, dance. Dance magic, dance. Put that baby spell on me. Slap that baby make him free!”
He was a bit unsure of where this sudden singing came from but assumed it was part of a pixie's nature. Anyways he wasn’t entirely to sure what the other creatures were doing. The slime's seem to be gathering around a goblin with a few others moving towards them. “An ambush maybe? Or a long con?” he wasn’t entirely sure of what they were doing, but they seemed strange. Ardur decided to continue scouting around and figure out what this was all about now that he was a bit more confident n his abilities.
At the very least he now knew that these blue crystals were used for mana. The Pixie also noticed that the small green goblins had been collecting these crystals but was unsure of their purpose. He did decide that investigating the bonfire would be interesting but stopped on a small ledge when he noticed a small gathering of reptiles. Now Ardur was still on guard even through his entire trip over here but otherwise continued to observe the fascinating creatures around him.
These lizards had begun to form what looked like a small puddle of their own saliva. This saliva seemed acidic in nature. He could not tell what they could be talking about, if he could understand them at all, or too what end pooling their saliva did. Until the stone floor seemed to bubble and slowly dissolve. “I wonder” he thought aloud. The Pixie in him was yearning to cause some trouble, and he also agreed. He took some time to find another small crystal like the one he dropped into the pool earlier. Ardur did notice that the crystals n the ceiling where more numerous than the ones on the walls and ground, but they looked a bit smaller.
Finding a small crystal that didn’t absorb into him the moment he touched it. He was careful to break it out of its place. It had to be small, or he didn’t believe he could carry it. The small creature found another roost above the lizards and their growing pool with the small crystal in hand. Being very careful just as he was the last time, Ardur dropped the crystal aiming for the acidic pool below and watched. “Nothing ventured nothing gained” he spoke out loud. It didn’t look like there was much in the way of danger nearby, and he didn’t think that they could reach him up here if things went bad.

Such a strange occurrence. The small crystal had revealed the shroud of darkness that permeated the pool. His experiment showed him that the pool was actually quite deep and there was what looked like some sort of plant matter clinging to the walls. A large shadow seemed to move from one side of the wall to another, it was eerie and ran a chill down his spine. He wasn’t afraid it was just off and definitely too big to be a fish.
The commotion at the pool side did catch his eye for a moment. At his vantage point he could see a green child in the grass, “must be a goblin” he thought as he remembered the choices he had earlier. There was also what looked like a lizard and a slime going after a one of the floating orbs. Such a strange instance, not once did he observe these creatures so close together before. They all seemed to keep their distance from one another unless they were eating. Yet it almost seemed as if they were helping each other.
“This place sure is strange” he thought as he looked back to the pool. The light from the crystal had gone and the pool was dark again. Ardur took a minute to think about what could have happened to the crystal before seemingly remembering the small pop up from earlier. What a strange way to announce things, he did remember these sort of things from the video games Sara would play but this sure was strange. Ardur didn’t want to think of Sara right now and instead took off from his perch finding a nearby crystal to hang off of while he watched the creatures down below.
Conducting an Experiment over the pool /// week 2 // Daylight?
Cold. It was the only real sensation he could think about when he first entered the world. That and weakness. Surprisingly not hunger. His small frame had been placed near a blue crystal that just sort of pulsed into him. A strange thing to describe. But as the days went on he slowly explored the small crevice he had been placed in.
Small patches of moss that harbored water and small insects proved to be a source of food and water as well as a comfortable bed. The small opening into the crevice expanded into a rather spacious room for a pixie. A few small blue crystals illuminated the burrow. The only other occupant of the room was a small spider. The spider he so lovingly named Steve was injured when he first saw it.
Although being slightly aggressive, the spider was far too injured to truly do any damage to him and did not seem to have a venomous bite at least it hadn’t tried to bite him yet. So far they had a rather rough but peaceful arrangement. Something Ardur found very hard to do for something that can’t communicate with him. After he healed the spider and gave it part of a flying insect he found, all he took in return was some of its webbing to block the entrance to their burrow.
For the most part the two stay away from each other. Steve does have a smaller way out of the burrow he uses to hunt. While Ardur spent the first week barely getting out and around from his home. He figured out quickly that he could fly. It wasn’t the best, the slightest bit of wind could knock him off course and almost send him to the ground. He could also use some spells, just as the demon king said he could. The shield was interesting to figure out. He couldn’t push things or hit things with it, or at least not right now. But it could deflect things that were coming at him.
The healing one was self-explanatory, and mostly instinctual. The first time he used it on Steve it partially regrew a few of the lost spiders limbs. But other than making him feel weak and light-headed didn’t do much else that he could tell. For the most part however, Ardur spent his time examining his new home and the landscape below. Trying to figure out all the new sights and sounds of the creatures going as far to see if any of them moved when small pebbles were dropped on them from above. One thing was for sure, this cave was absolutely teeming with life of all kinds.
Today would make for another experiment. He could see the pool of water below his home and the slow waterfall that poured into it. Ardur had a strange urge to see how deep it was. Honestly he wouldn’t gain anything from it, but he thought it would be a fun thing to do. So keeping up with his flying skill he bobbed and weaved between the stalactites in the ceiling of the large cave. This was something he would do whenever he could.
Although being careful not to take the same path twice through the limestone maze to make it harder for predators. He also tried to train himself to be stronger and exercise. One would think gaining muscle would be hard for a pixie but it’s actually quite easy. To grow stronger muscles you must first tear them and break them down, so they can heal over with scar tissue and grow stronger and bigger. This normally takes months to have a noticeable impact. But, not when you can heal yourself. he wouldn't go as far as saying he was superman but there was a definite difference from day one.
However, it was time for the experiment. Ardur left his hollow and flew quickly along the ceiling. The fairy quickly spotted part of the experiment and stopped. A small blue crystal that he could easily dislodge and carry with him to the next spot. That spot being a small ledge above the dark pool. There wasn’t much in the way of insects or predators near his perch and the only things he could see nearby where more than a few creatures gathering around the pool. He waited for a little while longer before dropping the glowing crystal into the water and watched what would happen to it.

Note: If you obtain ALL of the passive skills Harder, Better, Faster, and Stronger, Skill Synergy will occur and Physical Conditioning will rise by one rank regardless of its Progression. - Acquired by using skill points at Level up.
Fire Resistance I - This damage resistance skill applies to both magical and natural flames, as well as higher temperatures in general. If other elemental resistances are gained, skill synergy may occur. Having this skill may make using certain types of fire magic or other fire oriented skills easier. - Acquired by Standing in a fire and healing himself.
Taming I - Many species have dominated or relied on each other throughout history. In a manner similar to social and charisma based skills, you use magic to form bonds with other creatures. At this rank, you may only attempt to tame one creature. If you switch to another, the former will be released from the bond. At this rank, you may only attempt to tame creatures at least one level below your own. At this rank, you must still entice the creature with things like food or protection. You may need multiple attempts. When Taming is complete, a personalized magical mark will appear on the creature. - Acquired through skill points.
Stronger II - You have grown stronger through tough training! Tear muscles down, and rebuild them anew! Your physical power stats have increased! By gaining at least one rank of Faster, Harder, and Better, Skill Synergy will occur and you will gain one rank of Physical Conditioning. Acquired through training. -- Your base physical strength has increased even further! --You possess the Use Light Equipment skill, but with this increase to your stats there may be some other forms of equipment you can wear without the proper skills. For instance, you may meet the requirement for a larger weapon if you are holding it in both hands or using your body more efficiently to lift and swing it. However, sub-enhancements for this equipment will be greatly diminished.-- gained by mighty variance.

Point Strike I - With a discerning eye, take aim at an opponent's weak point and concentrate your own power into a single point of attack. Slightly increase the power of any attack, and gain an increased chance for a Critical Hit. Using this Skill in conjunction with other attack Skills, however, may cause it to lose effectiveness.
Keen Sight I - Expend stamina to increase the range and clarity of physical sight. At this rank it is only barely superhuman but not above that of say, an animal. If all Keen Senses are acquired, they raise the rank of Beast Senses. Acquired from spotting a powerful magic spell fly through the air.
Material Analysis I - You have developed an eye for determining the qualities of inorganic or non-living objects. At this rank, you will only be able to gain surface information about an object. When used in conjunction with a crafting skill, it may help discover more compatible items. - Used while crafting armor.
Alert I - Though this skill is limited by the strength of your senses, and does not sharpen your senses on its own, it allows you to become more aware of your surroundings. Without conscious effort, you will pick up on signs in your environment more easily, especially if they present some form of danger to you. Essentially this is an anti-ambush skill.

Lesser Cleanse I - Refine and purify your own positively charged mana before releasing it to counteract negatively charged mana. (Immature) Mighty Hipixie - He looked pretty much the same, all things considered. If anything, his skin tone had grown healthier and deeper. His hair was more voluminous and longer. His wings were stronger and larger--and it felt that he could move them more precisely, as well. If he relaxed them, instead of folding behind him like a dragonfly they now hung somewhat like a stiff cape down his back. His chest still bore those three scars and his hands were still stained...
But now, he stood a full foot and a half taller than before, not quite as tall as any Goblin but much larger and broader than a Pixie. His body had become more muscular--or rather, the muscles he had actually looked like they fit this body, whereas before he had stacked muscle on a frame that clearly wasn't meant for it. Still, it seemed obvious given the degree of tone and size now present that a normal Hipixie still wouldn't be this...buff.

Ardur looks like a small person with light fair skin, shoulder length green hair, Golden glimmering eyes, and wings that look similar to green leaves. A few things stand out on his person. There are three round dark spots on his chest and back. Also his hands are stained purple up to his wrists.

Ardur simply wishes to be Strong. Strong enough to protect others and take care of them. He will do what he must to push others so they can also grow and be better.

Ardur was once known as Travis Smith and worked and lived in the weird city of Portland Oregon. Now Travis had a rather normal upbringing with nothing too significant happening to him. He had parents that worked in industry. His father, worked with shipping containers as a foreman. His mother, worked with air cargo as a manager. Both did rather well for their family and kept them in a modest home. He had two younger sisters, twins actually. Both were dead set on joining the navy after they graduated.
Now Travis learned early on through volunteer work with his high school, that helping others was what he wanted to do. So instead of joining up with the military, was able to get a few scholarships and went into paramedic courses and physical trainer classes. Both of which he excelled at, finding his purpose in helping others. He did adopt a strange and sometimes dark sense of humor through this to deal with the stressful work environment of a paramedic. he filled his down time with listening and singing along to a variety of different modern and classic music as well as watching nature documentary's to help him relax.
For a time his life was good. He did what he could to help others through work and volunteering. Travis learned more about himself then he expected too. Working one week on one week off was a bit of a pain but it allowed him to work with some local athletes in his free time. Travis eventually found himself to be quiet in the company of others, always with a smile on his face. He did tend to be a bit pushy toward the people he was working with. He wanted to see them grow and be great. Somehow he adopted a protective side to him as well, especially towards his friends or the people he loved. This protective instinct would eventually lead to his down fall.
Travis, now 32, was going to be married in three months to a beautiful short red head named Sara, who just so happened to be a couple months pregnant. Sara was the one person who could really light a fire under him and get him to do anything. She was his motivation to be better, she was his muse. The last night he would be working was a stormy one. Just past midnight with rain, wind, and thunder. A strong winter storm. He was called out with his partner to a domestic. Apparently the husband beat his wife up pretty bad then ran out into the night.
The two paramedics didn’t think anything of it. It wasn’t the first time they had been called out to something like this and it wouldn’t be the last. The police officers that stayed at the residence called out that the scene was safe as they approached. A severely beaten female sat on the hood of one of the police cars. Travis and his partner approached her and began to asses her injuries. The police officers were nearby interviewing some neighbors when it happened. He saw him out of the corner of his eye. A man brandishing a revolver came at them from in between a few houses intent on killing the woman.
Travis didn’t think he only reacted. Grabbing the woman and turning away from the man he tried to push her away and around the ambulance. He remembered hearing thunder and a scream. The thunder rang out three times but all he felt was cold as he hit the wet pavement. Several other flashes of lights and thunder rang out into the night as the last thing he remembers was thinking that Sara was going to kill him for this. The blurry and muted voice of his partner and the other officers continued in his head until everything faded, and he was alone and cold.
Then suddenly there was light and a voice talking about rebirth and demon kings. He thought he was hallucinating and thought this was just some sort of way his body dealt with the sudden loss of function, so he decided to play along. So many choices he wondered which one would suit him? The slime seemed nice but strange, the dire Rat just reminded him of filth and garbage. Then there was a wisp it seemed more of a loner and mysterious.
The goblin simply reminded him of stories of greed and madness, both things he dealt with regularly before and wasn’t too keen on continuing that. The serpent seemed interesting but seemed more designed to inflict lasting pain or torture and that wasn’t what he stood for. Finally, he was introduced to the Pixie. A strange creature sure, weaker than the others but a healer. Something that supports groups without inflicting too much pain. This is what he decided on and in an instant he felt cold again but also strange like waking up from a bad dream.
@Zeroth personally I think flushing out the characters and getting the rest of their skills in would be better. that way we know what we are working with for our posts.

Travis, now 32, was going to be married in three months to a beautiful short red head named Sara, who just so happened to be a couple months pregnant. Sara was the one person who could really light a fire under him and get him to do anything. She was his motivation to be better, she was his muse. The last night he would be working was a stormy one. Just past midnight with rain, wind, and thunder. A strong winter storm. He was called out with his partner to a domestic. Apparently the husband beat his wife up pretty bad then ran out into the night.
The two paramedics didn’t think anything of it. It wasn’t the first time they had been called out to something like this and it wouldn’t be the last. The police officers that stayed at the residence called out that the scene was safe as they approached. A severely beaten female sat on the hood of one of the police cars. Travis and his partner approached her and began to asses her injuries. The police officers were nearby interviewing some neighbors when it happened. He saw him out of the corner of his eye. A man brandishing a revolver came at them from in between a few houses intent on killing the woman.
Travis didn’t think he only reacted. Grabbing the woman and turning away from the man he tried to push her away and around the ambulance. He remembered hearing thunder and a scream. The thunder rang out three times but all he felt was cold as he hit the wet pavement. Several other flashes of lights and thunder rang out into the night as the last thing he remembers was thinking that Sara was going to kill him for this. The blurry and muted voice of his partner and the other officers continued in his head until everything faded, and he was alone and cold.
Then suddenly there was light and a voice talking about rebirth and demon kings. He thought he was hallucinating and thought this was just some sort of way his body dealt with the sudden loss of function, so he decided to play along. So many choices he wondered which one would suit him? The slime seemed nice but strange, the dire Rat just reminded him of filth and garbage. Then there was a wisp it seemed more of a loner and mysterious.
The goblin simply reminded him of stories of greed and madness, both things he dealt with regularly before and wasn’t too keen on continuing that. The serpent seemed interesting but seemed more designed to inflict lasting pain or torture and that wasn’t what he stood for. Finally, he was introduced to the Pixie. A strange creature sure, weaker than the others but a healer. Something that supports groups without inflicting too much pain. This is what he decided on and in an instant he felt cold again but also strange like waking up from a bad dream.
