Actually, 2 of the 4 high quality rifles Lasthope has is with the expedition. Billy has one Vickie the other. They're the lee-enfield rifles. Lasthope doesn't have any of the more current sniper rifles.

At least that's the information Rumi provided in discussions about the marksmen. I may have misunderstood some, but the gist was the above.

Actually, Last hope has more modern sniper rifles but they also have limited ammunition and are more critical in the prepared firebases that protect the approaches of Lasthope

Also just to put this out there

I know it's been 14 years but I live in Oregon, at our family's house there are 12 shotguns, 14 rifles 2 semi-auto 3 lever action and two pump action the rest are bolt action rifles. 8 pistols half autoloaders half revolvers three compound bows 2 PVC longbows... and from the people living around us we are kind of average in the number of firearms we have.

So I guess it's understandable that we have a few firearms lol

I feel I should add that the military units that fell to the Risen were numerous and one of the main pursuits of material reclamation patrols to collect such military gear, I can see stacks of the Helmets in the Lasthope Amory along with several tons of things such as boots, packs and so on. Guns are available shotguns and .22 cal being the bulk but think of the weapons loadout of a platoon engaged in active combat and that once the Risen engaged them how the initial combats would have gone against the troops till they figured out

Then there are the militarized Police departments, Gun Collectors in your community and so on
