"Ooh well, I'm not from an awesome big city like yourself. I would really love to visit New York once by the way."
No, no. New York wasn't as exciting as Anastasia seemed to think. Noisy, loud, people always trying to bother someone, people acting like idiots, and just generally not a very fun place as far as she was concerned. Well, during the daytime anyways. She liked being out at night, at least a little bit when it was a bit quieter. It was also the perfect time to get up to no good...like putting up some graffiti on a side of a building.
...not that she would ever do that, of course. At least, she didn't usually do that. Mostly, she stayed cooped up on the roof of her parents apartment with her laptop doing...uhm, well, stuff. Or practicing stuff. What stuff? Not strictly legal stuff like...hacking. The cool night air was perfect for...concentrating and making sure her computer didn't overheat in the middle of uh...stuff.
"I'm actually from England, incase you didnt notice yet by my accent."
Yeah, she could tell. That accent was one of the things she-shuddap brain. She looked back down at her food and took a bite to distract herself.
"As long as I remember I've been in my father's castle and surrounding lands, training to be able to best serve him. There was a small town nearby at which I sometimes had some assignments to complete."
...assignments? Castle? Serving? Well...that was...normal? She was a vampire after all so if that's how they lived then...well, she couldn't really judge. Besides, living in a castle sounded pretty cool. Well...if it had electricity. She couldn't live without her electronic stuff.
"I know it probably doesnt sound as cool as New York so I'll quit boring you about it."
Sounded pretty cool actually.
"So euhm, Alexis. I believe we havent properly introduced ourselves yet. It was 'Graham' I think who introduced us so what do you say about a proper introduction?"
When Anastasia held out her hand to her, Alexis simply stared, fork hanging out of her mouth as for the second time today, she was completely dumbfounded and couldn't think of anything to say. Anastasia was being awfully friendly, not that she particularly minded - in fact she was pretty happy with the fact, but well, she couldn't exactly let Anastasia know that...on account of that she was an idiot and had no idea how to. She still didn't notice the change in Anastasia's eyes, being too focused on her own thoughts to notice much of anything else at the moment.
Okay, just play it cool, tell your name...and shake her hand. that's a good start. Not hard, right?...ahahahaha WRONG. She wasn't touching that vampire. Well, not because she didn't want to. If she did, she'd probably just make a fool of herself. More than she already had probably.
"Alexis Sinclair." She replied, sounding a bit bored still. Really, she didn't see much sense in introducing themselves, since they already knew each others names, but eh...couldn't hurt she supposed. "New Yorker, resident trouble maker and insomniac."
