Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Managed to get a smallish post up. Been rather busy for the past few days with some things. Feel free to move Lila to the bar/wherever we're going. Dunno how active I'ma be for the next few days or so.

"Try to talk some sense into him, then. We don't need the entire CMAS breathing down our necks!" Lila shouted after Yvette as she left. She sighed, taking a long look over to Mira, wearing an unimpressed expression. "And the only reason I drink is because of chucklefucks like you and miss uniform over there won't leave me alone." Lila grunted, not sounding too amused by Mira's teasing. She wasn't really too put off by it though, in fact it was fairly amusing to exchange words in such a way. She set off down the street towards the bar Mira mentioned. It was one she had been too once or twice on occasion, though she usually made sure to only come in when it wasn't crowded. She could handle large crowds that well.

"So tell me about this amazing tale," Lila continued as she turned, walking towards the bar in question. "And just how much uniform and that sorry excuse for a leader fucked up this time." Might as well get started on the walk there. Not much else to talk about.
"Like I want to be complemented by you." She grunted as the shield met his fists. Alright, that didn't work so well. It was a good plan...probably, but not all plans were flawless. She didn't have much time to think up a plan B though. Zerlaine moved faster than she could follow up. However, unlike last time Lystra could see his movements. She might have been more surprised if she wasn't just using all of her focus to try and come up with a way to beat Zerlaine. He was still fast, but for whatever reason she thought she could keep up.

He moved to flank her, faster than she could process it. It might have given her a good opening to work with, but it was a missed one. Zerlaine moved to thrust his hand forward, having enough time to take advantage of her heightened senses. She moved the shield between her and him hoping to once again block the attack. She couldn't keep blocking forever, though. She needed something, but she'd work with what she had for now. As soon as Zerlaine's fist made contact with the shield, she'd once again try and slice his arm with the knife.
@dragonmancer

Another spirit user?

Well, Viola isn't going to like the competition. She'll probably try and snipe some of his dragon spirits from him~

Hehehe.
And I am realizing once again, Viola talks way too damn much sometimes.

"Wah~ Lee, would I ever do such a thing?~" Viola leaned into Lee's hair ruffling in an almost cat like manner. The amusement in her voice was a bit concerning likely, but she wasn't planning to cause trouble. She'd never do such a thing anyways. That said, it wasn't like she wasn't capable of doing something like that, and if given the opportunity she likely most certainly would summon something...so, perhaps they had a right to worry. Not that it mattered really. If she wanted to do it, she'd do it. Besides, as a rule of thumb summoning something in your own home was generally a bad idea, especially if you were of her level. She watched Lee and Luna leave with a small smile. They had nothing to worry about, really. Viola considered them friends...or at least, entertaining and worthy of attempting to be friendly, at any rate.

She turned to Meruin, who was musing silently to herself about something. Being similar to Xinhua? Perhaps, but Viola liked to think that Meruin wasn't as arrogant as the dragon. She watched, immediately curious as Meruin performed some small feats of magic. A bird of some sort - was it an illusion? If it was, it was and incredibly good one but the other mage dismissed any such thoughts. It was real, then? That was...incredibly curious. Viola found herself much more interested in Meruin then she already was. Viola smiled, giving Meruin a wide grin.

"Oh my, that was certainly curious. You'll have to tell me what that was later, but for now..." Viola removed the bindings from her journal, laying it on the table in front of her. "On to business, then! To put simply, I am quite in tune with spirits of all sorts. from Elementals from the Alchemic practices, Djinn from the Middle East, to spirits of the dead...and demons." Viola spoke that last one in a somewhat hushed tone. Summoning demons was not going to go earn her any brownie points with anyone, but she would be lying if she said she didn't know the method of summoning a few. "That said, due to the silly practices of the headmaster I am somewhat lacking...I can not summon any particularly fearsome spirits yet. However, simply put if I have your aid, I can likely summon one and oversee you forming a contract with one. I'll make sure you get a fair deal of course. Gathering the materials for summoning a strong spirit would not be too difficult, and with a little of my own magic and your power we could certainly summon something quite fearsome." She paused for a moment, taking great interest in a piece of candy she pulled out of her pocket and popping it into her mouth.

"Something, say, fearsome enough to make a dragon quake in her scales?~" She giggled, pushing the book towards Meruin. "My master was quite knowledgeable about a number of spirits and made this...index, of them for me to use should I have need of them once I am sufficiently strong enough to summon them without such rituals for combat purposes. You could look through them, if you wish. The contract will be temporary - it would be the best terms to use. Spirits are more agreeable when there are clearly set objectives for the contract...ahem, but-ehe, excuse me. I think I might be talking to much." Viola smiled, hand resting on the journal as she continued. "All I would want from you...is for you to get me into the Forest. You are the apprentice of an Archemage, correct? The headmaster is a fool for restricting access to such a place and stunting the students growth because of some stupidly thought danger. How is a mage supposed to get stronger without a little bit of danger, hmm?" She leaned back, sighing in some irritated and tiredness.

"I've been here for a year, but because the only spirits around here are weak poltergeists and other ghosts in the graveyard, my skill is stagnating and I loathe it. Oh sure, I could go on a field trip but there would be no guarantee I'd run into a good spirit to contract, not to mention any I did run into would likely be quite old and powerful...and I would rather not attempt to outwit and bind some ancient spirit that could curse me for eternity should I fail. I do not mind a little risk involved, but such a thing is foolish. The forest here would likely at least have some decent spirits I could contract that are of a decent power, but not so great that should I accidentally offend one that the consequences would be too serious. Preferably a Sylph...I do so love those things. Gnomes are adorable too, though, hehe~"

Slightly hypocritical considering what she was already planning, but she felt as though she had little choice in the matter. Of course, if Meruin accepted this deal then things might progress a bit faster.

"I understand if that's a bit much though. The rules are quite strict, or so I understand." Viola continued. "But just to be clear, you don't have to try until the day of or after the summoning, or even after the duel, and if you can't then that is fine, hehe. Even this will be good practice for me to see how a more...experienced mage works." She'd have her fun with this duel regardless if she got a spirit or not if Meruin accepted this little proposal. Plus, one could learn many things simply from watching. "So, Meruin, do we have a deal?~" It was in honesty, a pretty good deal. No consequences for Meruin even if she didn't hold up her end of the bargain.
Right right, gonna get to worky work on a posty post after some food~

@TheHangedMan
Gotta be honest. Was not expecting Meruin to even give Viola the time of day.
But a pleasant turn of events it is, hehe.

If Meruin accepts her proposal, this is going to change Viola's plans quite a bit~
Welp, this was inevitable the moment she opened her mouth. Zerlaine reached for the shield, and using her free hand she grabbed it. It was still firmly attached to her arm so it wasn't going anywhere anytime easily. Options of what she should do raced through her head. She could run, but it was likely Zerlaine wasn't going to be letting her go that easily. Fighting, though? She was by no means a fighter, but she was also by no means a fool nor incompetent. He was underestimating her, and she'd likely only have one shot if she was going to do something. She struggled with the shield, whatever odd strength that was filling her was doing its job and helped her keep it from Zerlaine long enough to decide on a course of action.

She felt...invigorated, almost as if she could do anything. Misplaced overconfidence? Perhaps, but she wasn't going to let him have this shield. Thankfully, she wasn't unarmed - her knife was still tucked away in the back of her pants. She was glad she hadn't left it behind at the lake when she left her belt and other things to go for a little swim. She could beat him, of course she could. She just had to get a little creative, and a bit lucky. Much quicker than she was used too, she reached for the knife tucked away in her pants and hopefully with Zerlaine so focused on the shield, he wouldn't notice. Wordlessly, she aimed the knife right for the back of the hand trying to reach for the shield, intending on driving it all the way through.

Hopefully, he wasn't too attached to those fists of his, heh. If he let go or gave even an inch, she'd follow it up by bashing him right in the face with the shield.
@PlatinumSkink

Nothing at home. I'll probably summarize a few things, but other than that my next post will probably be on Route 2. Assuming of course, no one stops Claire, which I'll give someone a few days to do~
Good news is, I'm not dead! Fever's gone and so is the headache!

Bad news is, Sarcelle is dead, fighting the dark forces and Xiro is still kidnapped. Sarcelle still hasn't told me anything in regards to plot or anything either.

So yea. Guess until he gets back we're on hold.
