I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
"So where do you think we are?" Miya asked. It took a few seconds for Ishia to respond. Her head had already swiveled to take a good long, not very subtle look at Nariah. Before the lizard could even say anything, Miya sighed. She had to ask herself for the hundredth time, why she was still friends with this harlot?
"Heh, no idea," She began with a grin. "But as long as they've got booze, pretty people and don't mind a good time, I don't care."
"I don't even know why I ask you."
As the two finished their brief conversation, someone who looked to be a servant of sorts approached them, introducing himself as Quinton. An odd name, or at least, the origin of it was not one she was familiar with. Definitely foreign. Perhaps they had somehow been transported to the lands beyond the Edel Empire? It wouldn't be entirely unheard of for such a thing to happen. Old magic was quite powerful, and teleportation spells to cover long distances was common back in the histories...
"Eh? The lady's your Master?" Ishia questioned in her usual voice, seemingly slightly teasing. "Oho, so you're in that kind of relationship. Invite me next time you-gwargh." Before she could continue though, a small thump on her forehead from Miya quieted her.
"Sorry about the lizard. You can ignore her." Miya apologized to Quintin. "Perhaps some drinks? You wouldn't have any sort of alcohol here, would you? And uhm, perhaps if you have a map of the region it would be quite helpful. We seem to be...quite a distance from home."
"Ehh?" The lizard replied in her usual couldn't care less tone. "You're surprisingly stiff for someone so soft..."
"Ishia, I mean it...get...off."
"Hmm...again? You've gotta lot of stamina, don't ya? I'm tired, though I wouldn't mind it if you decided to ravage me again." Ishia gave Miya a lazy grin. One of Miya's eyes twitched in minor annoyance. Ishia probably meant it too, considering what she knew after traveling with the lizard for a few months now, and had experienced first had. She probably wouldn't mind such a thing, as much as Miya couldn't fathom why. More importantly.
"ISHIA. OFF. NOW." The young samurai currently was laying on the ground, arms folded across her chest. Ishia was currently laying on top of her. She didn't entirely know how they ended up in this position - they had been traveling together, exploring an old temple for treasure and the next Ishia had decided to go mess with some ancient wards or something. Next thing she knew, they were taking a tumble down a hill and Ishia was using her as a pillow.
Not that Miya particularly minded, but they had more pressing concerns. Like where in the name of the great spirits were they?! Also, she was pretty sure they were in the middle of a road.
Which probably meant the two of them were quite the sight.
"Ara...someone's feeling more dominating than they were last night-" Ishia was cut off by the feeling of her horns being grabbed. "Ah, do be gentle-oof." before she could finish, Miya had already lifted the lizard off of her, throwing her onto the ground next to her with little trouble. Before Ishia could get any more ideas, Miya quickly stood, giving Ishia a small glare.
"Ishia, now is not the time for leisurely activities."
"Miiiya-chan's being a grumpy oni..."
"Maybe I wouldn't be so 'grumpy' if someone hadn't drank all our alcohol last night!" Miya huffed as the Lizard sat up, yawning leisurely. "Besides, We have no idea where in the name of Zin we are!"
"Hmm...huh, you're right this doesn't look like our little love nest, does it?"
"...that's because we don't have one of those you perverted lizard." Miya sighed, shaking her head before taking a look around. This place definitely wasn't something she wasn't used to seeing, and it was all fairly odd, but she wasn't one to let such things bother her. Aside from a few odd looks from people she didn't seem to be all that out of place. "Looks like some sort of tavern over there. We can probably find some drink food, and information there and you can do..." She gave Ishia a pointed look. "Whatever it is you normally do when I'm not babysitting you." At this, the lizard stood and stretch. Her rather revealing clothing leaving very little to the imagination for the onlookers.
"Ah, smells like fun...I wonder if they have any icefire Sake...I need a drink."
"You always 'need' one." Miya sighed, walking into the cafe behind an odd looking...samurai? She definitely looked like someone who could handle a blade well, but the armor seemed somewhat odd to her. A foreigner? Well, no matter. Ishia followed behind her, sniffing the air and scrunching her nose.
"I don't smell the booze."
Ignoring her friend for now, Miya looked around the establishment, taking a seat near the door with Ishia sitting across from her. Well, this was turning out to be an odd day.
Lena was glad. Relieved, even, that others were standing up for the spirits. She feared that others would only stand idly by, or possibly even mock her for saying such a thing. It made the small knot in her stomach disappear almost completely, and a newfound confidence was replaced with it instead. Unfortunately, it only lasted moments. The noble boy or whoever didn't listen to them at all. In fact, he seemed to downright ignore them...and before she could do anything to help defend these spirits, the boy and his entourage left. Her hand tightened on her sword. She almost wanted to chase after him, but it'd be a fool's errand and she knew it. With her current skill...she'd probably not be able to do much.
"Grr...that arrogant prick..." Tania formed beside her as Lena released the fusion. "...one of these days those guys will get what's coming to them, and we'll both be laughing, my little elf." Her voice was dark in tone, but if Lena noticed she didn't say anything. Instead, she sheathed her blade and shook her head with a sigh. She was...tired. Honestly, she was a bit upset and she'd love nothing more than to run home and hide in her bed for the rest of the day, or attend Okami's little party at his tavern.
But she had something else she thought was much more important to do. Vili. Why didn't she try and say anything? Lena couldn't understand it. In fact, it made her somewhat irritated that someone like her would stand idly by while spirits were being abused. Granted she doubted they could do much, but...if they didn't try, who would? If you wanted to change something, you could't wait around and let others try and do it.
"A-ah...oh, you're welcome!" Lena finally stuttered out in reply to Okami's thanks. "I think, uhm...I'm not feeling the best and I have some business I have to take care of." She briefly glanced towards Vili. "Maybe some other time, alright?" She gave him a friendly smile, before walking off after the demoness, trying to steel herself for this conversation she really didn't want to have, but it was one she needed to have.
"V-vili!" Lena shouted somewhat hesitantly upon catching up with her. "Uhm, you wouldn't mind if I joined you for a few moments, would you? I uhm, would like to speak with you about something." Tania simply yawned, taking her usual place atop the elfs head.
Honestly, not sure Lena is going to go with Okami at the moment.
She is gonna wanna talk with Vili, and after what just happened she's not in the best of moods so she might just head home unless someone drags her somewhere.
EDIT:
Decided to go ahead and post and have Lena go with Vili.
"Oh...hello. Saika Miyano, at your service. If you don't need my blade, then I have things I must do."
Name: Saika Miyano
Race: Oni
Age: 22
Appearance: Sai stands an imposing 6'2", with lush white hair and bright blue eyes. She is normally seen wearing armor made out of a slain sea serpent she killed herself, only at the age of 16. And yes, she is in fact not human. She has two sharp horns protruding from her forehead and she has tattoos that appear all over her back and sides, though they are concealed by her armor usually.
Normally, she wields one of two katanas, which are strapped to her sides. While she can use both, it's not her forte in a fight, though she's getting better as she believes it fits her fighting style perfectly. Which Katana she uses, though, will usually decide her fighting style for the fight and she can switch in the middle of a fight, should she need too. (ignore giant hammer)
Gender: Female
Bio Personality: Above all, Miya is an honorable, loyal, and would never turn her back on an ally. She values her friends above all else, even above her own life if she truly values them and considers them a friend. That aside, generally, she's a fairly pleasant person, if a tad bit on the quiet and thoughtful side. Though she's not quiet out of shyness or apathy. She simply doesn't have much to say in the way of words. She prefers letting her actions do the talking, as any true warrior should.
Which means, at times she can be a surprisingly cute ball of nervousness and stuttering for not knowing what to say, though she is not a stranger for using words to berate someone or reprimand them rather harshly.
She can not tolerate unneeded acts of violence in her presence, and would definitely go out of her way to save someone from such a fate. She doesn't tolerate cruelty at all, and would definitely step in to save someone from a cruel and unusual punishment...given it's not against the law, and she has no connection to the poor guy getting the treatment.
She can be rather lazy, sometimes, though not overly so. Sometimes, it's simply nice to take day off and nap under the trees after a nice drink. That said, she's not entirely a saint either. She's been known to rob a few people blind on the streets. A bandit is a bandit after all, but she doesn't go out of her way to harm them needlessly, but if they fight back, expect her to get a little...riled up. Fighting is something she greatly enjoys.
Abandoned as a child to a clan of rather secretive and noble warriors far removed from the more modern parts of the world in a place called 'Zin' she didn't exactly have an easy time growing up simply because she was a demon. While many people are welcoming towards people such as her in the area, Kitsunes, and Tengu, she was neither, and many of these superstitious old warriors thought raising her would only bring disaster, but the clan leader disagreed, saying that to abandon a child simply based on so called omens was pure folly. He wouldn't allow his honor to be stained as such.
So she was raised and taught the way of the sword and warrior along other children her age - along with magic. In her case, Dark Magic, and she quickly distinguished herself from the others being physically stronger, faster, and all around above them in terms of strength and prowess. A few students grew jealous of her ability, though most constantly looked up to her as a role model, especially the younger ones.
When she was 16, a graduation ceremony of sorts was held, to test everyone's skill with a blade. First step, was to forge the blade you were going to use for the rest of your life. This is when she forged 'Makaze', her blade and current companion. Next, was to venture into the nearby mountains and a surrounding forest, slay a beast and bring back a trophy proving your defeat. Whether or not you graduated, or were deemed a failure and cast out, depended on the beast you slayed.
One chance. One chance only, for a warrior, there are no second chances on the battlefield. Confident in her abilities, she set out into the forest, but something...something terrible was about to happen that week.
A sea serpent, had somehow found its way into a lake resting on the mountain. The other students, didn't even stand a chance against the beast. And despite being confined to the river, it was able to blast highly pressurized water from its maw.
Those few who were lucky, only got away with broken legs, and broken spirits. However, Three people were able to bring the beast down and graduate that day. A boy by the name of Renzo, a childhood rival and friend, of hers by the name of Dai, and herself. After slaying the beast, they all three brought it back to the temple, and were all allowed to pass right then and there, with the rest, though while not succeeding, not being kicked out either - for this was an unforeseen circumstance, and the elders were merciful.
She crafted herself a armor out of the beasts hide and bones. Dai created himself a second blade from the bones and blood of it, naming it 'akaiittou'. Renzo, created a fine bow, and trained himself to use it next to his blade.
Over the course of three years, the three grew fairly close and had quite a few misadventures together around the temple, now that they were free to leave, and seek out their calling elsewhere.
Unfortunately, fate saw fit to make sure that Dai and Renzo would never make it through a fourth year. She still doesn't entirely know the truth behind the incident, but what she does know...is that she was blamed for murdering them, and was cast out of the order.
She has been wondering ever since, trying to make sense of the events that transpired that day, a masterless sword seeking a cause, you might say. Her sense of honor and law has deteriorated quite a bit since then, and if the rumors are true, she's only steadily gotten more and more violent in her banditry over the years.
Dislikes: Vegetables, warm weather, spicy food, dogs, and snakes. is surprisingly terrified of ghosts.
Talents/Hobbies: Likes carving these odd little wooden masks in her spare time. Says it helps her focus. Training Adventuring. Stealing treasures from tombs. Often meditates in the morning Can forge swords and possibly other small crafts.
Skills/Abilities: Miya has been studying sword techniques and sword styles for most of her life. She is quite adept at two different sword styles, and is working on mastering them.
Whispering Gale Blade: This style, used with a single light sword, or two smaller swords is a style of sword fighting designed around quick footwork and light strikes. Focusing on parrying and redirecting an enemies strike. An aggressive fighting style, where one actively and relentlessly attacks a target, overwhelming them with a furious offensive.
Piercing Stone Blade: For use with larger weapons, it is the form she employs while using 'Akaiittou'. This style is designed to be for fighting heavily armored foes. Powerful, but quick and devastating strikes consisting mostly of thrusts designed to stun and pierce armor. A slower form, where one must use their strength, balance, and strategy equally well - missing a strike means she'd be wide open.
Aside from her sword skills, she is a fairly decent blacksmith and Armor smith. She can craft some fairly decent blades and armor if she has the right materials.
Drinks. A lot. Don't leave her and Alcohol alone.
Oni Strength & Endurance: Being an Oni, means that when she's in top form, she's physically stronger than most mortals could possibly ever hope to be. Even in her resting state with her limiters, she's fairly strong and could give even the strongest humans a run for their money.
Yin is defined as the negative energies of the universe. She stops suppressing the 'Yin' energy, while keeping the 'Yang' suppressed. She channels it, using her body as a vessel for it, gaining a minor increase in physical strength, but a great increase in agility and speed. Additionally, she gains the ability to channel this energy out of her body to an extent. However, she's not all that adept at using it for such things.
It is the form she uses the most, and the one she's the most skilled at.
Current 'Yin' abilities: -Black Water Blade: This form, she mostly makes use of her faster, lighter Wakizashi, Makaze. This form is best suited to astonishingly fast, but light attacks designed to confuse and cripple an enemy into submission. Devastating counters, and fast quick, crippling strikes and combos are what this form mostly consists of. She can also extend the length of her blade by few inches, by channeling the negative energy through it.
It's a more passive form, in which one waits for the opponent to make a move.
Rule one of this form: Getting hit with anything means you need more practice.
-Black Water Burst: Pouring as much energy as she can into her blade, she can cause a small, localized explosion of negative energy at the end of her blade. The blast radius isn't all that large, but it definitely packs enough of a punch to knock most people off their feet and seriously injure them.
-Black Mountain Blade: She can employ her Katana, Akaiittou, in this form as well. However, being the large cumbersome blade that it is, it hardly gains any sort of advantage while using it. Aside from her standard forms and attacks when using this, she gains no advantage and has no specific form to use for it, so she defaults to her normal fighting style.
-Black Earth Eruption: However, by pouring the negative energy into the blade she can slam it into the ground, pouring the energy into the earth and causing a small, localized earthquake that cracks and disrupts the terrain in the immediate area.
Currently, she has almost zero mastery over this form and can only sustain it for a few minutes. However, in this form her physical strength and endurance skyrockets to levels even other Oni's would have trouble dealing with, with a minor increase to agility and speed. This form, is incredibly taxing on her at the moment and she's currently trying to maintain it for longer than a minute or two.
Weapon(s): Two Katana, named 'Makaze', who's blade is light, deadly and fast. Used by her most often - often wielded one-handed.
and 'akaiittou', the blood red blade is heavier and thicker than Makaze, requiring greater stamina and strength to wield. Used to fight opponents with heavy armor and who are slower. Often wielded with two hands.
carries a small carving knife.
Weaknesses: -Long ranged combat -Armor is light and designed for movement, not defense. -Will never resort to underhanded tactics in a fight, even if her opponent does. This can leave her at a significant disadvantage sometimes.
Strengths: -fairly decent at fighting any type of opponent since she can change styles easily, depending on the Katana she wields. -Fairly impressive physical strength and stamina. -Close ranged fighting.
Theme song (optional):
"Yawn~ haaa, you guys are being looooud...and not the fun kind of loud people make when they're in the bed together."
Name: Ishia Narin
Age: 25
Appearance: Standing at five foot six, Ishia is about average height. She has light blue hair that falls to her shoulders. Two horns extend from the side of her head, and a lizard-like tail swishes behind her lazily most of the time. She has bright blue eyes with reptillian slits for pupils, often times focused in a lazily and languid manner. As for clothing...well, she only wears a rather revealing one-piece robe that is kept tied only at her waist. On her back is a surprisingly large sword, indicating she is at least quite a bit stronger than her somewhat untoned form would suggest. Small scales can be seen on her neck and feet, and she wears a blue necklace around her neck.
Gender: Female
Personality: With a somewhat raspy voice, unkempt appearance, her half-dazed look and her ability to look like a slob no matter what she's wearing, Ishia isn't particularly glamorous. In fact, she's pretty much a drunk wastrel that drinks 24/7. That said, she's fairly chatty and enjoys nothing more than a good drink with a friend or pleasant stranger. Being fairly lackadaisical and calm, she doesn't take much seriously and tends to take life in strides. That said, she surprisingly loves a good brawl...or any other activities that could get the blood flowing.
And I mean any.
She sleeps around a lot.
I mean a lot. Like everyone.
One should note, that sword isn't just for show.
Background info/Biography: Her history isn't particularly special. She was born in a small forested region, and had a fairly good life growing up among other beast-kin of her kind. She's never been one for work much, but also not one to particularly be overly needy or lazy. As long as she had food, drink, and shelter she was about as happy as some guy who won the lottery. In short, she's fairly content with her life and always likely will be.
However, she did start traveling though, for reasons she's kept to herself some odd years ago. She probably has quite a few stories to tell of various factual accuracy as well. She could probably tell ya an interesting story or two.
