Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Hmm...we'll see where the pieces fall for now. Still got a ways to go before we get there, I believe so there's no immediate need to decide I think.

@Wasted Ink
You would be correct. Hobgoblins turn into ghouls by eating rotten flesh. The wiki and Manga don't say anything other than a Dhampir is a next stage of evolution for a hobgoblin. That I remember anyways.
@Jangel13
I mean, don't lemme ruin your fun xD

If you did, that's cool. She's still going to be using either a Glaive or light weapon of some sort.

I was just thinking branching off form the Vampire Route would make the most sense after thinking about it, considering her natural tendency to avoid fire, sunlight, and other things.

But hey, if you've thought of something up then that's fine. Admittedly, I am somewhat hesitant to say yes since it might not be exactly what I envisioned, but eh.

How would one go about getting Vampirism, though? I honestly could see Isurta drinking the blood of something just out of curiosity xD
@Wasted Ink
and did a posty post. You're stuck with Isurta now. have fun

@Jangel13

So, how does something like Isurta having magic talent as a Hobgoblin sound?

She could go from Hobgoblin -> Dhampir -> Vampire -> ??? [Something with magic?] -> ??? [Final evo or something?]

I am not sure what would come canonically after vampire, but I think honestly that would be the best evolutionary path for her to take honestly.
~Isurta~

@Wasted Ink - Following after Xaal.

Over the next two days, Isurta grew used to her body. On the first day, she was already crawling around their home cave. She made a point to explore every nook and cranny of it she could find. After all, this was the extent of her world right now and as much as she'd love to go exploring beyond the mouth of the cave, the bright light scared her. It wasn't something she was going to show the other goblins, though. Besides, the cave was so much fun to explore!

Oh, and the food! It wasn't the best tasting stuff, but it was interesting to eat nonetheless. After all, she had never eaten anything before so how could she not enjoy it? Besides, Grandpa was nice. The rest of the first day consisted of crawling around the cave, bothering the other goblins and trying her best to get to know them a little. After all, they were living together so they might as well be friendly! Besides, they looked like tons of fun to play with anyways.

When she slept on the first night, her mind couldn't quiet down any. Her mind was too plagued with questions that wanted answering. What was the cave outside like? That cruel light she didn't like prevented her from going there for now, but she would eventually go beyond it when she could walk. She imagined a field of green. A place with tall, brown pillars with many creatures she didn't know the name of. Everytime something new popped up in her dreams, she had to simply ask what it was.

Isurta's second day meant the coming of her being able to walk. Unlike the others, she had almost no problems with getting her legs to move at all, and within a few minutes she was running all over the cave with only a few hiccups and tripping here and there. She ran all the way to the entrance of the cave, observing the land outside. The 'sunlight' as she was told it was called still intimidated her. Its bright incandescence scared her. She had no reason to, of course, but for whatever reason it felt as if it would burn her skin. Not yet, then. With some reluctance, she'd venture out the third day. She made a vow for that, even if she would do it alone. It seemed though, she wouldn't have a choice. Grandpa said that he couldn't feed ones that couldn't hunt. As harsh as it was, it felt right. After all, he was old and useless. She was young, spry, and liked to think she had a good head on her shoulders.

So after waking on the third day, she would set off, explore the forest and bring back food for everyone.

Soon, the third day came, and with it the first of many dangers Isurta and the other goblins would likely face.

Standing at the entrance of the cave again, she stared out at it. Violet eyes, observing the lit area outside silently as Grandpa explained what lay ahead for them. Nothing was free in life, and everything had to be worked for. It was survival of the fittest and those who couldn't keep up, would die. A grim reality as it was, it was one the young goblin couldn't argue with. A small grin formed on the goblins face. She couldn't help but to be a bit excited. She was finally moving outside of the cave! She was going to explore what laid beyond, get stronger and then go even further! She wanted to learn so much about this world she was born in. She would learn, gain knowledge, and anything that tried to get in the way of that, wouldn't find her to be such an easy target.

Violet eyes looked over to Grandpa, a small giggle coming from her as she gave him a smile. She stood at roughly 4'0, a bit smaller than your average goblin, with skin erring on the lighter side of the spectrum, a lighter shade of green, almost a turquoise blue color.

"Thanks Grandpa!" Her voice was clear and a bit on the loud side. Unlike a few of the other goblins, getting Isurta to shut up was about as difficult as trying to cook food without a fire. Indeed, she spent quite a lot of time trying to talk to the other goblins, trying to get to know them and what made them tick. A few were less than responsive to her friendly advances, but she did her best to ignore that and file them under 'Silly buffoons that she'd use for stuff later'. What stuff? She didn't know, but it seemed appropriate. Now wasn't the time to be thinking about that. "We'll bring back some delicious food and stuffs!"

So following after one of her brothers, Xaal, Isurta began her first hunt.

"Hey hey, Brother Xaal! Wait up!" Isurta called out after the slightly taller goblin, quickly running after him. "Going hunting on your own? Hehe, it'd probably be easier to hunt as a group, wouldn't?" She'd explore a bit later on her own time, after securing some food.
@Wasted Ink

Aye, if she can learn magic as a hobgoblin, I might have her just go the Dhampir -> Vampire Noble -> Ice Blood True Vampire.

Although, if there would be more 'True Vampires' other than Ice Bloods, it'd be cool. (pun not intentional...hehe.)

Or alternatively Dhampir -> Vampire -> ???

There's not canonically anything after a vampire, and it seems a bit like a dead-end rank. If there was something else after that it would be pretty cool too. Maybe make something up that compliments magic? I dunno. It's just weird for vampires not to be good at spellcasting to me.

@December

Rank up System
It doesn't have an extensive list, and some info is missing I think but this is probably the best one you're gonna find.

EDIT: And I'll get to a post after eating and working on a post for something else.
Sorry for being late, I just finished burying my cat.

I'll post sometime tomorrow.

No! D:

Kitty! D:

...I'm gonna find mine and hug it now.
@Wasted Ink

I mean, that's how it should be.

Regardless of whether there's a class for what she wants or not is fairly irrelevant. She's a scholar and academic by nature, and wants to learn everything that she can. To me, it makes sense that she wouldn't forgo learning how to wield a certain weapon just because she's learned magic, as that would also be a field of study in its own right.

Of course, it does depend on IC experiences. This is just the hypothetical path for her at the moment, and I am merely stating what she would do if there's not any major interference.
~Sorcha~

Sorcha could smell the beverage before Luna even produced it. The dragon swiped it surprisingly swiftly, the warm mug heating her hands almost instantly. It smelled absolutely wonderful and before the next sentences even left Luna's mouth, Sorcha had already downed half of the beverage. A contented sigh left the dragons lips - Livia really knew just what to do to make her feel better. She hadn't had this alcohol in a long time...she had to wonder where she got it, but she supposed she shouldn't ask too many questions about what Livia got up to in her spare time. It'd be awhile before she was up and not all that sluggish, but she was at least awake to coherently speak for now.

But a friend? Livia had sent a friend with Luna? Well, Sorcha wasn't one for not meeting others, but she was absolutely a mess. Her hair was strewn all over the place, she wasn't wearing something appropriate for meeting someone and she probably looked like she stayed up half the night drinking. To put bluntly, she was not in any condition to be meeting anyone new right now. That said, she wasn't about to turn away a guest in Luna's home. T'was not her place to do such a thing.

"Sorchy Sparky?"

The soft voice caught her off guard. Her eyes widened.

"Who?...where did you..." She practically hissed. Any sluggishness the dragon was feeling evaporated instantly, replaced by a seething, burning rage at the mere mention of that name. Her head immediately turned to the sound of it. Luna would likely immediately be able to tell something was incredibly wrong. The mug in Sorcha's hands shattered into pieces, spilling the rest of the hot liquid over the bed. A snarl slowly formed on her lips, a low growl coming from her throat as she laid eyes on Fia...the child in front of her.

Why. Why did she come back like this? She was supposed to be fully grown, wasn't she? How could she have even been killed? It wasn't like she could die of old age. More importantly though, Livia was looking for her - the headmistress has insisted that she was still actively looking for her. Did...did Livia lie? No...livia wouldn't lie. Not directly, but it didn't matter.

As rage filled the dragon more with each passing second, her thoughts became more and more incoherent, replaced with a single desire to kill this thing in front of her.

"OUT." She seethed towards Luna. "Get. This. THING out of my sight." It should have been obvious Sorcha was practicing as much self control as she could possibly muster at the moment.

~Cynthia & Livia~

Livia seemed to weigh Aetheria's words, a thin smile appearing on the older mages lips as she studied her. Well. If she wanted to ask what her plans were, it was well within her rights to do so. Whether Livia was going to give up such information easily, was another matter entirely. Of course, the White mage's question was worded incredibly wrongly. She missed the mark quite a bit.

"No no, not at all. I would agree with your research. It seems quite accurate from my own experiences." Livia replied. "I was merely...thinking about a few of my own research projects as always." She didn't mention any sort of connection to Fia that said research might have though. It should be easy enough for Aetheria to connect the dots herself if she wanted to pursue such a line of questioning.

~Gwynn & Lyssa~

"Wah...you tease! What If I'm the one you've been waiting for? I'll give you tons of hugs and pets and you'll have an entire mansion to live in-ah. Uhm, I mean. Yeah. My parents. Own a mansion. Out in the countryside. Yep yep." Good job Lyssa, just run your mouth more why don't you? Ah well. More importantly Mugi was being a huge spoil sport.

"I said I am not jealous." Gwynn replied with a huff, and before Mugi could have a chance to hug Maoin, Gwynn walked over to where the kitten was sitting and gave the kitten a pat on the head. "So why don't you go back to making out or something."
@Wasted Ink

It's been awhile since I've read the series, so I'm a bit out of the loop on what has happened, but learning magic through books I've always found a bit odd since one should be able to realistically practice with magic and learn new applications/forms of it through self-practice.

Unless, it was a completely new form of magic for example.

I dunno, it seems at the moment there's not evolution paths that would account for something that I would enjoy playing...but eh, I dunno. I'll just let the pieces fall where they may.

I just know Isurta is going to focus on learning various forms of academics, magic, as well as how to wield spear/glaive weapons (might change it to a rapier of sorts or some other light sword), and rely more on speed/agility/finesse in fights rather than brute strength in any area. So if there's some sort of something that would help her with all of that, it would be much appreciated.
@Duthguy

Something like that? I wouldn't exactly use the word 'fragile', but I suppose it could be interpreted that way. She's obviously not going to be tanking hits like some ogre or Minotaur would, but she's not just going to drop in one hit either.

EDIT: Perhaps some sort of dark elf evolution line would be appropriate, maybe?

EDIT 2: I suppose any sort of species would work really, as long as it relied more on mobility rather than brute strength in any area. I'm not a fan of 'overwhelming power' types of characters. Or at least if it had good mobility along with something else.

Suppose I wouldn't mind a character with Good Magic + Mobility or a character with good physical ability + Mobility.

Some sort of lightly armored battle mage or something?

I dunno, it's difficult since our abilities are going to basically be based on what we are rather than what is possible for our characters to learn naturally. Which I find a bit silly, but eh.
