Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Well, it was good to see the kitten wasn't wallowing in her own self pity. That said, the kitten was also being completely foolish. She intended to go after Gwynn in her current state? Well, aside from the fact she knew this errand she sent the girl on might be a bit dangerous the Kitten had no idea what she'd be getting into. Still, Livia smiled a bit, both relieved and amused by the kittens sudden change in demeanor. That said, she was not about to help in the slightest. Maoins presence would only be a hindrance to her own plans.

"What would you do once you found her? She left for a reason, you know." Livia replied with a dismissive tone. "Besides, she is on an errand for me. Quite a dangerous one, and your presence would only be a hindrance since you can hardly even take care of yourself, let alone fight." Livia turned to leave, intending to end the discussion here. "So I will not be helping you. If you want to find her - do it yourself. Your a clever kitten, aren't you? So you shouldn't have any trouble."

Livia left the room, closing the door behind her. She wasn't about to help the kitten in her current state.

"Hmph, just learn how to write it." Cynthia said with a small frown, taking a seat on the bed. That said, that was about all Cynthia could do in regards to teaching right now. It would be up to Mugi to memorize the letters and what not, wouldn't it? Honestly, she was a bit worried that she wasn't going to be doing a good job, but...well, she'd do it regardless. A few seconds passed before Cynthia gave Mugi a slightly unsure look before asking a simple question. "...tea?"

Usually her duties were to always prepare tea and possibly some light food regardless of if she was told too or not. However, since she had the day off...it was only polite to make such an offer. Besides, she didn't have much else to do.

"Please let goooo. Bunny is frightened." Mir replied with a small whine as swen explained what he was doing, and his intent. Well, if it was alright with the headmistress...then certainly it'd be fine? That said, she really didn't want to lose her job as the librarian and if she let him in it might become troublesome...but well, he seemed like an honorable sort. He wouldn't lie, would he? "B-but fine. If you want I can let you in for a bit. J-just...uhm, please remove the dog from me and let me get the keys." Miren pleaded with the Mage, giving him the biggest eyes she could possibly give.

At least, that was what she said. The dog was surprisingly warm, but...dog. She had been chased by an ample amount in her life, and she was not about to not be afraid of them.

"She's...everything?" Livia scoffed. "What are you, a child obsessing over some fictional hero? A religious zealot who can't live without his silly god?" It was quite clear that Livia was not approving of Maoin's thought. That said, if this was how the kitten felt there would likely be little she could do to change it. People like Maoin who were clearly obsessed with something could only accept the harsh reality once they saw it for themselves. "At least they actually try and aspire to be something for the one they serve. You, though?" The headmistress walked over to the kitten, giving her a cold glare. "You put her on a pedestal and made her out to be something she wasn't. What have you done but make Gwynn's life harder for her? Oh certainly she's a fool sometimes and not entirely blameless in this situation, but at least she tried. You didn't even do that, did you? And now you just wallow in self pity. You're not even going to try, are you? Pathetic. You could at least try and go after her, couldn't you?"

Livia stopped speaking giving the kitten a moment to reply if she would, at all.

"You're correct. It is horrible. A child could do better." Cynthia wasted no time in helping her, however. Swiftly, and elegantly she took the pen from Mugi and wrote the entire upper and lowercase alphabet on the paper under Mugi's attempt. The difference was quite obvious. Where the Yuki-Onna's was crude and inelegant, Cynthia's was the opposite. The letters flowed neatly, and were written swiftly and smoothly. "This is the alphabet. I can assume you do not know proper written grammar either, correct?"

Cynthia went on to explain the basics of each of the letter sounds, as well as writing the brief pronunciation and phonetic structure of each letter very briefly. It took a few minutes of writing, but eventually she was done. She liked to think she was doing a good job - but she did have her doubts. Practice would help Mugi quite a bit more than simply observing, as with anything.

"Hm...I think the first step would be to memorize the entire alphabet."

~Miren~

"T-the restricted section? Oh, uhm...do you have a reason for it?" Miren asked, shifting uncomfortably. "I'm less worried about you harming the books there - a few of them could easily defend themselves, but uhm, there are things in some books there the headmistress has deemed-eep!"

Before she could finish speaking, the wolf was upon her. Miren froze on the spot, eyes going wide with fear as the hound hugged her before she could get away. Every instinct in her body was telling her to flee, but she couldn't. She had a job here and as scared as she was she couldn't run.

"Y-yes I'm a soft innocent little bunny bun and please let me go before soft innocent bunny bun dies of fright." Oddly enough though, the hound felt...incredibly warm. Like a warm fire place or somewhere safe she could possibly take a nice nap in. But that was a silly thought. This hound probably just wanted to make her adorable life quite a bit shorter.

~Charlotte LaChance~

Oh, now what was she doing? Pulling out some sort of rope or something? What was she going to do with that? She was quite curious, as it didn't exactly seem to be something that was used for any sort of practical purposes. Some sort of slingshot or something? Charlotte huffed, rubbing her nose as she was poked by the other girl. What, did she think she wasn't paying attention or something? She always paid attention to something, thank you. Bah, this girl was starting to get irritating.

After seeing what the girl was using it for though, Charlotte's thought process came to an abrupt halt.

Was...that was what it was used for? Then why didn't Cait tell her or show her how to use it instead of letting her fumble about on her own? Granted, there was nothing wrong with learning on your own when you had nothing else - that was the only reason Charlotte even attempted it. She was ignorant of such plants or how to harvest them. With time and enough thinking she could have come up with a simple and effective way of doing it, but...why? It would have saved them both time and her more than a little bit of irritation if Cait had just showed her how to use it.

The only reason Charlotte could think of, was that she was purposefully making fun of her. She watched Cait work dispassionately, only interested in how to use the simple contraption effectively. It would be easy enough to replicate one and easy enough to use it from watching Cait use it. When the other girl tossed the contraption to her, Charlotte didn't even catch it. Instead, she simply grabbed her coconut, and gave Cait a cool glare as she turned and walked away.

She had enough of being made fun of in Astril. She wasn't going to put up with it here.
Lena & Tania

@cloudystar@Cherrywitch@RabidAnubis@Lady Athena

"O-oh dear." Lena really, really, didn't want to be at the front. Not that she minded, really, but that meant if she missed something there was a great chance someone else might get hurt. That said, if there was anyone out of them that was skilled enough to actually be able to fend something off effectively...well, she looked to be the only one with any sort of actual combat experience, save for Baldur, and that was saying something.

"A-alright, I'll lead the way then." She said, handing over the torch to Okami. She started walking, hopefully taking the right direction. Honestly, she didn't feel like Tania had really thought this through and probably just wanted to mess with Vilivyn. But well, she was here and she was going to do her best. That was all she could ever do, really.

May have gone slightly overboard.

Did a thing.

Outta time to write tonight though, so I'll do something with crabby either tomorrow or the next.
~Nem & Bel~

The giant lizard daemon leaped to the side, quite agile for its size. It intended to flank her?

Pathetic.

It seemed confident. Flanking someone in a fight was always a good idea. Left them open, especially if you had a partner to help you. The two worked well together, she'd give them that. The human partner in question, not only had an actual fire arm, but also a variety of other trinkets up his sleeve. It had been an interesting match, but Bel wanted to end it. She had other things to do than fuck around with these guys.

As the lizards hit the ground, it continued its motion, stopped and opened it's toothless maw. A gout of flame launched towards the armored human, the flame hot enough to leave scorch marks on the ground. Almost too fast for the human eye to follow effectively, the armor leaped forward through the fire. The searing flames burned the armor, scorching the cool dark metal as a hand reached forwards, grabbing the grinning lizard by the top of its jaw.

"Is that the best you can do?" The voice from the eerily silent armor was low, sounding almost masculine and definitely a bit bored. She still hadn't gotten used to the armor changing her voice a bit, but it was a pointless thought. Bel grabbed the creature by its mouth with her free hand, and pulled

A high pitched shriek of pain came from the lizard Daemon as its jaws were yanked apart, clawing at the metal and releasing another gout of fire from its maw as its jaws started to stretch beyond what should have been physically possible. The sickening sound of bones snapping and flesh tearing and screaming filled her with an odd sense of delight - maybe Nem had been rubbing off on her more than she thought.

Whatever.

Soon enough, the creatures jaw had been dislocated, its lower jaw hanging limply at an almost painful ninety degree angle. She Lifted it, just as the human fired some sort of thing out of one of his guns. Looked like some sort of grenade or something it looked like. Not that she was going to be particularly bothered by it. She swiveled, bringing the lizard daemon to face the human before slamming into its soft underside with a hard, swift kick sending it flying out of the arena. She couldn't avoid the attack from the human, the makeshift explosive hitting her midsection with a loud bang, the explosion also releasing a smoke screen of some sort.

Useless.

She fell, her back hitting the ground but was hardly dazed by it. She was at least, thankful Nem could keep them oriented even if her head was ringing a bit inside of the armor. Immediately as she hit the ground, she flipped, rolling over onto her hands and feet with a smooth rolling motion, and leaped at the human from almost halfway across the arena. One of the hands wrapping around the humans face, the other delivering a hard swift punch right to his midsection. She let him go, grabbing his right arm and twisting. With a sickening crack, his arm bones were shattered and bent backwards. Grabbing his head with both hands, she brought her knee right to his face, likely breaking a few bones - but he was out of the fight for now, stumbling backwards and falling limply onto the arena floor.

The lizard simply growled from a distance, having lost whatever will it had to fight. But well, where would the fun in not getting both of them KO'ed? Before it could react, the armored human was upon it. She reached for a ridge of spikes on its head, pulling it towards her as the other reached for its already injured jaw as the creature shrieked in pain once again as she lifted it over her head, before falling backwards and slamming its head into the ground, the creature ceasing any sort of physical response upon having its face nearly smashed in.

Too easy, really, but still fun. The crowd watching hollered in approval at the display of violence, but she wasn't really listening. She had fun, and now she was going to get paid. That's all she cared about.

One thing about fighting, was that she never got tired of it. No matter what or who it was - even if it was someone obviously much better than her, she didn't. All it was then, was a challenge to be overcome. Even easy fights were fun - putting someone in their place never got old. She didn't recall when exactly she started feeling like this, but she didn't particularly question it. Maybe all the years of pent up frustration finally were getting out, or maybe she had just gotten like that because of the illegal fights. After all, one had to be rather...brutal sometimes during those fights. Unlike those farce of a sponsored fights by the I.D.C.C, these fights didn't have any bullshit rules. Two sides fought, until one side lost.

And she absolutely loved it. She inhaled, catching her breath just a bit. Though it had been easy, it had still been somewhat of a workout. Well, it was over now and she had other things to do. She started to walk off the field. What happened to those other two were not her concern. As she did, black wisps of smoke started coming off of the armor as it began to dissolve from around the human and the Daemon that was her partner took a more human form now that their little show was over with.

"Wow, someone must have been pissed." The feminine, almost enchanting voice that belonged to Nem reached her ears as the white skinned daemon took form behind her. "I'm not even disappointed I didn't get to do it myself, hehe, but really being that stressed isn't good. You should let me help you with some stress relief occasionally." She laughed in a much too happy manner considering what she was speaking of as she sauntered over. "Say, Bel dear," She gave the redheaded human a friendly smile, giving her a hug from behind. "I know I didn't get to fight and all, but to the victor goes the spoils right? And I am getting kind of hungry..." Isabel turned her eyes to the daemon. The blank expression she was giving Nem was probably evidence enough of her disapproval of what was being said. "And the human looks just so tasty and I haven't properly eaten in-ow ow ow! Ears! Sensitive!" Before she could finish, Bel grabbed the daemon by one of her pointy ears, twisting it and pulling the daemon off of her.

"We have ice cream at home if you want to eat." Bel replied as they left the arena, making her way to the coordinator to receive payment, passing by quite a few other daemons and humans getting ready for battle.

"I do love ice cream but come oooon~! I haven't had a proper snack in daaaays. I'm starving over here." The daemon said, massaging her ear lightly as she followed happily along behind Isabel.

"Maybe next time."

"Tsk, you said that last time too. I'm almost starting to think you don't love me any more."

"You don't even need food. You just do it to be creepy."

"Ouch. Your cruel words wound me. If you hear sobbing later, that'll be me crying over a giant tub of ice cream."

It didn't take the pair long to receive their rewards for a job well done, and after a bit more banter the two left the makeshift arena and headed home. As far as illegal rings went, it was one of the more well paying ones, but it still wasn't exactly a...steady source of money. Granted Isabel didn't exactly have much of a money issue, but she didn't want to not have a steady stream of income just in case something bad happened. Which meant she'd need a steady job. She'd been living off of her rather...questionably attained money for awhile now, and it was starting to show. Nem would not like what this next question of conversation was going to be once they got home.

Thankfully Nem behaved herself more or less, making the trip back to their apartment easy enough. A small place, not exactly in the best part of the neighborhood, but at least it was cheap and wasn't likely to draw too much attention. With her money, she had even made the place somewhat classy looking. Not the fancy penthouse apartments you'd see downtown of course, but it'd be obvious someone with at least a bit of money lived here.

Opening the door, Nem immediately waltzed over to the fridge, tail swishing happily behind her as she pulled out a tub of chocolate ice cream and plopped down on the couch with a spoon in hand. Isabel, went to go change out of her sweaty fight clothes and into something a bit more casual. A black jacket, red shirt with some tight fitting pants and boots. A few minutes later, she took a seat next to Nem on the couch, who was happily eating all of the ice cream again and watching something on TV. Despite Nem's violent and impish tendencies, Isabel had quickly learned that at times, Nem was surprisingly a bit childish. Also Lazy.

And a glutton.

Come to think of it, she had almost zero redeeming qualities.

"I'm not buying you more if you eat all that for a week." Bel said, plopping down on the opposite end of the couch.

"I can get some myself, Bel." Of course, that meant she'd steal some or swindle it out of some unsuspecting guy she'd flirt with.

"I'm going to be broke taking care of you one of these days." Isabel grumbled, holding a hand to her head. "Which is why I'm going to make you get a job." Nem turned her head to Bel, yellow eyes staring at her with mild confusion, spook stuck in her mouth as she tried to process what was just said...before the daemon started bursting out in laughter.

"A job? Bel, really?" Nem said through laughter. "That's a good one. Do I look like the sort of daemon that goes around working?" The laughter continued for about a full minute, only stopping when she realized that the redhead was giving her the 'bitch, I'm serious and if you don't stop I'm gonna pull your ears again' look. "Oh uh, wow you're serious. Oh." Nem sat down the tub of ice cream, humming lightly to herself. She seemed amused at the idea, at least. "Well, I'm not entirely against it but do you have something in mind? I refuse to dress up in some silly human clothing and work at some cafe or wait one people."

"Don't worry, I have something in mind." Bel said, swiping the spoon from Nem and proceeding to eat some ice cream herself.

Not that long later, the two arrived outside the 'Flying Tortise'. A bar in the Redlight district. Getting to it was somewhat annoying - She had to put up with Nem making constant jokes about this 'job'. For the most part, Isabel ignored the daemon as she made her way to the bar. As they walked up, Nem seemed curious, if not all that impressed.

"Jokes about this area of town aside...a bar?"

"Heard it from a friend they're looking for a bouncer. Thought It'd be easy enough, with some occasional entertainment."

"Hm~" The Daemon hummed thoughtfully, smiling to herself. "Well, lets get this over with then - but if some drunk throws up on me I'm biting him and not in the fun way."

They walked into the bar, Bel taking a brief look around for the person they needed to speak too. Bandalur, she thought his name was. Not entirely sure how to go about this, as she never had a job before. Saying she was a bit nervous would also be a bit of an understatement. Unless it was fighting or something else like it, she had a surprising tendency to be rather socially inept sometimes.

So she walked up to the bar, Nem taking a seat on one of the bar stools as Bel approached someone.

"Any idea where I can find Bandalur?"
@Ramjammer

I would like to apologize for not posting I really meant too but got distracted xD

Ahem - small question regarding the jobs and the illegal fights - I think I might have Nem and Bel look into that bouncer position as a bit of a more steady job. Any info on that?

As for the illegal fight rings, if I want to have a fight with a random NPC and stuff, I can just go ahead and write that up, yeah?

...Aegeon will just be out in the sea. Doing grumpy old crab things.

~Charlotte LaChance~

This was her coconut, and she was gonna keep it warm and safe and that crazy native couldn't touch it, oh no she wasn't. She, Charlotte LaChance, was gonna eat it herself and that native could go starve in a fiery pit...something burning and evil. Yeah. She had little chance to enjoy her brief victory, though. As she thought of the many ways she could possibly make the coconut much more appetizing with the right herbs, spices, and such, Cait had decided to waltz over and once again, invade her personal space. By the stars, the similarities to her and...

Charlotte simply glared up at the shorter girl, wishing desperately she could tell her she was in fact, not a cat or some sort of pet. Alasm her words would fall on deaf ears that didn't understand the words being spoken. For a few seconds, this continued until Charlotte realized the other girl was not going to stop without a bit of encouragement. So the taller girl finally sat up, holding the coconut in her lap as she glared coolly at Cait.

She was running out of patience for the other woman's shenanigans.
"Ow ow, injured wrist." Lystra winced in slight pain as Gremma pulled her injured wrist, tugging her forward slightly. Gremma was right of course. She could have gotten injured or even worse if she hadn't gotten extremely lucky, and had caught Zerlaine off guard. She couldn't deny that. "Sorry, sorry." Lystra replied with a small smile. Even so, she couldn't have just sat back and done nothing after what Zerlaine did. She could have probably went about it better, like handing over the shield but...she wanted to know what it was too much to hand it over to some stranger that had did what Zerlaine had. "But, I mean, It's over and I'm fine." Lame excuse, but it was all she had.
~Livia~

The kitten had stopped listening about halfway through her words, then. For the next few minutes, Livia sat there, quietly finishing the tea. She had hoped Maoin would do something herself, but after a few minutes it seemed like she was simply going to stand there. Livia sighed. Foolish cat. If that was the extent of what she could do on her own, then she might as well deserved this. Those who didn't have any desire to succeed in some manner, were not people had any patience for. Fia, had a bit of an excuse for her behavior and she was slowly improving? But this kitten? Well.

She'd be getting no sympathy from her.

The headmistress stood, filling a glass with water...and dumping it right on the cats head, a small hiss coming from the cat as the water soaked her hair and clothes.

"I can see why Gwynn left you," Livia began with a cold tone, giving the cat a cool glare. "I'm surprised she didn't dump you sooner. You're useless if you become this traumatized over something so trivial."

~Cynthia~

A small blush ran across Cynthias face as she was told once again, she was cute. The maid huffed irritably, frowning.

"Idle chatter will not help you." The Maid said. "Focus on the writing." With a shake of her head, Cynthia took a look around the room. She wasn't quite sure, but she was certain Katherine would be quite interested in what was going on in here. She likely thought they would be getting up to something less than savory, but that wasn't something Cynthia would ever do...well, it would at least take a bit of work.

She was certain one of her dolls were here somewhere, but for now Cynthia let it go.

"What do you know already?" She asked the Yuki Onna. "I need to know where to start." Truthfully, Cynthia was probably just as nervous as Mugi was. Teaching was not something she thought she'd ever end up doing...

~Miren~

The only response Swen received was a muffled thanks, and a twitch of the white fluffy bunny ears. It took Eith and Swen some time to remove enough books from the pile. The sheer number of books the rabbit had apparently been trying to reorganize might have very well been at least half the library. Finally, after having removed a sufficient number of books from the pile, the person finally managed to free themselves.

"Waaah~!" The person, standing ankle deep in books still managed to shove the rest off of her with a tired whine. "Ooh, by poor little bunny buns. They're going to hurt for awhile after being stuck like that for so long." The bunny girl rubbed her backside, trying to work out a rather nasty cramp as she stood. Ugh, how long had she been buried under there? She couldn't say, but it felt like ages. The girl in question had dark skin with long, white hair and blue eyes. Two furry rabbit ears extended from the top of her head, drooping slightly in mild dissatisfaction with the situation. She was wearing a rather simple long sleeved shirt with tight fitting long pants and comfortable shoes.

"Oh, uhm, yes! Sorry about that! Urgh, I swear I leave everyone for a week and everyone hurts and misplaces the innocent little books. Not only that, we had a break in! When I fine whoever did it I'm going to give them a thorough beating!" She said again after a few seconds, adjusting her glasses, attempting to appear threatening but only managing to puff out her cheeks in a rather cute manner.

"Miren, Head librarian at your service!" The mood didn't last long though, before she remembered the person who helped her out of this predicament. "Weeeeeelcome...to...the..." The womans eyes fell on Eith and the reaction was almost immediate. Despite obviously being uncomfortable around Eith, though she continued after clearing her throat. "Eeep! U-uhm, W-w-elcome to the Library. Wh-what can I do for you?" each word was enunciated with a small squeak of what sounded like fear.

Professionalism was key, and she was a professional and she would not let simple fear of a mutt get the better of her. Well, she was trying at least. She was a grown woman damn it, she shouldn't be acting like this towards a little mongrel.
