Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

I'm quite certain Isil would have considered the possibility already - she's not one to not really thoroughly investigate or consider something if she's interested in the topic of something.

The reason she's not currently invested in it is because its taken her a bit of study and practice to get past that natural debuff High Elves have when learning non-restorative focused magics. In this case, her Aether magic. She doesn't want to split her focus and let that area of study suffer. As well, as there is a bit of a personal motivator there. She wants to prove that the High Elves are limiting themselves as well as stagnating themselves with their own seemingly disinterested attitude.

That said, if the headmistress doesn't change her mind about her class assignments she won't really have much of a choice and will explore that option anyways.

Her 'Ehancement' magic is in part restoration and alteration though, from what Spirit has told me so she'll get something from this either way.

Really, she's just salty she didn't get exactly what she wanted.

He is still free to make the suggestion though, of course. Isil would at least be intrigued by such a thing, especially if there were books on it since I am assuming the High Elves wouldn't have had such tomes.
@hagroden

I think I can answer this a bit.

From my discussion with Spirit when I was making Isil, it is in fact, entirely possible. I first considered having Isil use Restoration magic in that way to begin with, though I ended up doing something else with her since I took her character in a slightly different direction.

Spirit can tell you a bit more about it of course, but I know he said it's possible to actually reopen a recently healed wound with restoration magic.
@BurningDaisies

Hmm.

I am perfectly alright with a tiny bit of railroading, myself, though I don't mind a bit more playing around if its what everyone else wants to do. At the moment if nothing happens, Tania and Lena are probably going to talk a bit about what they're going to do with the fey.

So I'm fine with whatever.

@13org

Speaking of posts, you gonna do something with Yasha soon?
Suppose I could post again~

Or you could. I was gonna wait for at least Lyla to post again before I did.
~Gwynn~

Gwynn's gaze lowered towards the ground more as Maoin continued. The words hurt, just a bit, because she knew everything being said was a hundred percent true. If she was a better master in general - Maoin wouldn't have gotten hurt. Like...Luna, Sel, or hell...Nitsa, here. She didn't feel guilty about leaving - she just felt guilty about Maoin in general. She tried, she did, she really did try to care for the cat, but it always just went wrong. She couldn't accept being pampered. She couldn't accept the kitten treating her like some sort of fragile doll when she wasn't, especially when the cat herself was one.

The thing that hurt the most, though?

"It is cruel to bring a pet ... me ... into the world like this unwanted."

Cruel?

...was that...cruel?

Gwynn remained silent as Nitsa's passive expression turning into a slight frown as Maoin finished.

"I suppose you two will never just understand each other, will you?" She sighed, as Gwynn shook her head, slapping herself on the side of the face, giving Maoin an uneasy smile.

"That's right...I guess I'm cruel, huh?" She gazed at the sword, shaking her head before turning around and walking off. "D...do whatever you want with it. I don't need something like that..."

"If you truly think Gwynn didn't want you, cat, then you are just as stupid as she." Nitsa replied harshly. "So I'll tell you bluntly. Gwynn didn't want a servant. She wanted a friend she could go on adventures with. Someone she could laugh with, talk with, cry with. Someone that would have smacked her if she was being stupid. Someone she could be...open with." The princess sighed. "If you know her parents then you are aware they weren't the most sociable or free spirited sort. The reason she couldn't with you as you are...is because she wasn't sure how to treat you. She didn't wish to lord over you because you were a servant. She thought doing anything with you was simply going to end up using the contract to force you to like or do it."

Nitsa walked over to the kitten again, giving her a soft smack on the top of the head.

"You think because you are a familiar that the relationship between you and her means you would always be subservient, but that is false. A master and servant relationship is far less straight forward. It is much more symbiotic in nature - if the servant fears or always blindly follows what their master says then they themselves will be blinded and in the end, fail to protect their master even from themselves. Masters who abuse or use their position to take advantage of their familiar will find their servants eventually rebelling, or simply being far less stable and of much less use than ones who do not." She turned, twirling a few feet away, her clothing and jewelry creating a vibrant swirl of colors in the evening sun.

"Now, then cat." Nitsa said, stopping and bowing towards Maoin. "It would be best if you go home for now. Ritsa and I shall attend to Gwynn. I am taking better care of that idiot more than you ever were." The princess stood up, laughing lightly with smug grin. "If you are ever in Atlantis do stop by the palace. I could always use a fluffy kitten to pet~"

With another colorful twirl, the princess left in the same direction Gwynn had.
~Suzue Yamazaki~

Suzue held her cheek with a hand, frowning slightly as she listened to Asia's concerns. Perhaps she should be a little more mistrustful, but...they had no reason to mistrust him, aside from him being from the church. Even so, if it was Asia voicing those concerns then perhaps there was some validity to them. The spider hummed to herself in thought, unsure of what course of action to take. She couldn't deny that the priest may have had some sort of hidden agenda, which was no good at all. Especially if it involved harming them. Still...

"Ahhh, that's no good Asia." Suzue shook her head. "I'll have a few of the little ones keep an eye on the priest." Meaning, of course, a few of the spiders that scurried about the area. They were fairly useful as spies and information gatherers and she always ahd a few about. They were fairly handy at keeping out the pesky bugs as well. "Hmm...if she asks I won't lie. Not to mention the others interrogating the cultists." Suzue replied with a small smile. "Though perhaps I could have a little fun with it, hehe." Suzue laughed softly, giving Asia a pat on the head. Despite the girl having been here longer than she, Suzue couldn't help but to always find Asia to be more of a little sister than anything.

"I'll deal with Delilah then, hm? You go rest a bit. There's still some tea left, I believe." With that, Suzue walked out of the room and headed towards the front of the Cafe, intending to help with the clean up and intercept

The rest of the feast passed quietly enough for Isil. As soon as she ate her fill and spent some time casually chatting with a few other of her peers she left for the library. The only small hiccup...was that someone cursed her chair or something. Now that was a problem, wasn't it? Likely some childish prankster that wanted to make her look bad. Unfortunately for him, she wouldn't be the victim of such an obvious and small prank. She casually grabbed her staff form where it was leaning on the table, resting the butt of it against the floor as she reinforced the weakened chair legs before standing up. Whatever damage had been done to the legs, had at least been strengthened temporarily to allow her to get up without incident.

She wouldn't be made fun of or made a fool of so easily. Not again.

After of which, she left the room and spent most of the night in the library and doing some light exercise around the campus. She might not be the strongest, but she couldn't let her physical health or ability fall behind. She made a mental note to find a nice garden or forest to practice in, later.

peck peck

"Hrm..." The elf in the bed shifted slightly, rubbing her face into the pillow trying to ignore the incessant pecking on her cheek from the bird.

peck peck peck

"Nooo, that tickles...""

Seeing the elf still not responding immediately, the bird decided to do something a tad bit more drastic. It hopped onto her forehead before reaching down with its beak and pulling open one of her eyelids.

"GAH!" The elf shot straight up in her bed as the bird fluttered quickly onto the edge of the bed, tilting its head and looking up at her innocently. "Wha?..." She yawned, rubbing the side of her face lightly as she groggily woke. Oof, perhaps she had stayed up too late last night with her studies and practices. More importantly though, she looked down at the bird that was happily looking up at her. "...huh...class assignments or something?" That seemed likely, at least after the announcement of the feast the previous day. So communicating with familiars like this was how they went about delivering messages. Reasonable, as long as they didn't explode for the sake of simply exploding.

"You better not explode this time. I am not cleaning it up and will write a very sternly worded letter to the headmistress." Isil grumpily replied brushing a strand of blond hair out of her face. The parchment bird simply hopped up and down impatiently before unfolding itself into a list of mentor assignments. The High Elf yawned again, picking up the piece of paper and throwing her legs over the edge of the bed.

"Lets see..." Isil stood, straightening one of the straps on the black nightgown she had been wearing to bed as she read over the assignments aloud. "To the Master of Healing, The Mistress of Rejuvenation, Master Liyva. Attending Master of the Healing arts..." Initially, she skipped over the first section. There was no way the headmistress put her in such an obviously ill-fitting class. She had almost zero skill with healing arts, as odd as that was for a High Elf such as her. However, as her eyes began reading down the page, not finding her name under the Destructive arts master, or under the Enchantment or even the Magical Applications teachers Isil frowned, eyes scanning the paper until she read the first section once again.

The reaction was almost immediate.

"OH COME ON!" The elf resisted the urge to crumple the paper and toss it out the window. "Healing classes?!" She scoffed, pulling off the sleepwear, briskly walking over to the bookshelf closet and throwing it open, pulling out her usual robes and started dressing. "Gah, what is this? The Academy back in Bistrial?!" She had zero interest in healing arts - and while sure, her High Elf blood gave her an affinity for them she zero skill! She had focused more on more...direct applications of her magic. This simply wouldn't do at all! She finished dressing, folding the paper and placing it in her pocket. She had three hours to sort this out with the headmistress.

This simply wouldn't do at all.

"I am going to write more than a sternly worded letter at this rate!" She grumbled, leaving her dorm. She could eat and visit the baths after dealing with this issue. She left her dorm, heading for the headmistress room with a brisk walk, the only outward sign of her annoyance once she left. On her way she cheerfully greeted a few other students, though didn't stay long to chat like she had previously, making an excuse of having to discuss something with the Headmistress. It was easy enough to find her office, having the otters point the way for her after asking politely.

As soon as she found the door with the rather childish and unprofessional letters, the Elf knocked hard on the door, three times. If she didn't answer immediately, she'd do it again until she did answer. As soon as she did, the headmistress would be faced with a rather grumpy looking elf who had both hands rest on her hips.
Welp, I'll be getting a post up soon, hopefully~

EDIT:
Welp have a post~

If anyone wants to intercept Isil before she gets to the Headmistress' office though, feel free too~
@Rune_Alchemist I know it wasn't an attack, but I wanted to explain my reasoning in the face of distaste anyway! XD

I do weight the force of logic over that of dice, of course. I'm happy the inclusion of randomness hasn't been that much of an issue. I'll keep it in mind, though.

Delays are entirely fine. Things happen. Haha.

Aha, it's fine. Don't worry about it too much.

Anyways - in regards to your earlier question about how Ralia knew to just teleport herself. A slight bit of her 'Telepathy' ability as that is what Claire wanted - she just didn't exactly convey that well, as well as Ralia just being a smart little...amorphous...human thing?

Basically, Ralia is smarter than Claire.

So lets see how this plan works out~
~Claire Blackwood~

@PlatinumSkink

"R-ralia!" Damn it. Ralia too, then?

Before Ralia had a chance to reorient herself after the teleport, Hector already seemed to know where she had landed. This left her only with a few options, since Claire hadn't the time to react to it. The small pokemon had expected it, to some extent, but it was still a dangerous situation. Couldn't dodge with teleport, and if she took that thing to the face then she'd effectively be KO'ed. Maybe it was her own pride, but she wouldn't let herself be KO'ed so easily - she was the cutest, most fabulous, clever little girl in existence. So, what'd she do instead?

Instead of attacking Conkeldurr or dodging, she focused her psychic power on the stone, intent on changing its trajectory ever so slightly so that it wouldn't hit her. She didn't know if she could do it, but it was the only thing she could do at the moment. If it was successful at least, she'd launch another Confusion at the Conkeldurr immediately afterwards. She'd attempt to lift the spinning slab of rock upwards, hopefully letting it impact the wall or whatever was behind her, or otherwise miss its mark.

The clones themselves suddenly started to seemingly panic slightly, all of them fleeing and jumping out of the impact area.

Meanwhile, Lure was having difficulties of her own. The Conkeldurr was definitely feeling the effects of the poison and accumulated damage, but the level difference was still staggering. Even so, all she'd have to do now would be too simply use pro dodge skills and win. There was too close of a distance to really allow her to get off another gust so there was only one thing she could do with Lure.

"Lure! That big guy can't take much more. Flap those little wings as hard as you can and avoid it! We'll outlast him!"
