I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
Throat Pouch: - x6 Nothing Rawhide Backpack - x5 Nothing Equipped: Mana Bone Spear (Average)
If Ash could shout in excitement with success, she would have, but that would break her concentration more and she only had a limited time to work with. What was with that Mana she was shedding from her spell? It was collecting with the ambient mana in the cave. What that meant, she had no idea, and she didn't have long to completely ponder it. Her Mana was quickly draining, and she needed to finish this before it ran out completely or she'd have to start all over once more. The spell was unstable, but had taken a hue closer to what she had seen before.
Now that the excess elements seemed to be discarded...
Ash inhaled, dragging one of the purple squares back to the nucleus. This should stabilize it unless there was another unknown factor she had yet to take into account.
"Mhm...I would offer to help, but..." Izel turned towards the exit. Stale, dust-tinged air. New, but old. A faint smell of a sun-drenched leaf. "Ah ah, something is making this frail flesh of mine shudder." Twirling on her heels, the mage turned to follow the others out. What became of the others, the beastman asked? Such a silly question. They were old or dead. Sometimes the capacity for the human mind to be so terribly misunderstanding made her laugh. Perhaps she should be infuriated, but such was the way they were, and such as the way it should be. The only thing that would truly make her angry is the destruction of knowledge.
"Ah..." Inhaling sharply, Izel scanned the forest. "...trees. Old. Could it...? The sun-smell should have been obvious..." Izel stood on a single foot, eyes closed as she inhaled once more. "The moon has been eclipsed by the baleful sun, hasn't it? Or am I wrong?" As she questioned the reality before them, Malachi seemed to make a hasty decision.
"Well off we are then...Word of advice, Malachi." She skipped past Malachi, spinning around and giving him a playful smirk as she walked in front of him. "The populace may not be loyal to our cause. We may wish to handle things with a hand of delicacy...perhaps you should let someone else do the talking?"
Chieko tiredly stared at everyone present. At Vertti. At Talus. Flame, and Ashton. Alistair.
Aerith. Maybe if she hadn't been quite so hard on her. Maybe if she had been a bit nicer things wouldn't have ended up like this, but what could she have done? If she hadn't done things the way she did, then she wasn't sure if she would have made it herself. She turned her gaze exhaustedly towards Ashton.
"...idiot." She grunted, hefting her club, Glancing over to Vertti. She didn't know her very well. She understood Vertti was probably a nice person. Probably the nicest person she had met in this entire adventure...but what were their options? Fighting Talus was not a fight she thought she could win. He was obviously something beyond them. Something that they couldn't yet touch...but she couldn't bring herself to raise her weapons against Aerith, and she really didn't want to do the same to Vertti, either.
Why? WHY. Why did someone have to die?! She could save them, right? All of them, she could she just...just...was too weak to do it...
"...will killing you solve all this?" Chieko couldn't look at Vertti. "...I know we don't really...know each other, and I really, really, really, don't want too...but will it?"
"Heh." Izel chuckled quietly. "Indeed. The stars must be lit from their rest." She was already prepping her magic. While she wasn't exactly 'battle hungry' as this demi-god was, she certainly did need to see how well her magic performed on large scale after such a rest. For all she knew, she had lost some ability after this body slept for so long. As Sylphie prepared her blade, Izel had began casting several spells.
"I do hope you haven't lost your edge." She grinned. "T'would make the sea weep and the moon quite displeased should you have done so." but before their 'loosening up' could commence, something caught Izel's attention just had it caught Sylphies. A familiar presence of Magic caught her attention.
She was far too mature to burst into laughter like Sylphie, of course, but that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy this unexpected outcome. Her spells audibly fizzled, bursting into a comical shower of sparks.
"Snrrrkr." A badly suppressed chuckle came from Izel's lips. "Amdel! Did the memory eaters get to me? I could have sworn you were much older." The mage held a hand to the side of her face, holding her the other against her stomach. "You...you took the moons blessing? Perhaps?" She shifted her hand to cover her mouth as another horribly suppressed laugh escaped. "Ai, ai, You've certainly never looked better. Perhaps you're jealous this one is not playing with you instead?"
Sleeping, was difficult for Izel. Always had been, since that day. Whenever she 'slept' her mind had a tendency to...wander. Detach itself. Return to that nightmarish underground labyrinth. To the mines. To the source. Sometimes even further. Were they just dreams? She couldn't say. Dreams were sometimes more real than reality. The deeper you went the more real it came. Either way, when the marvel of magical engineering finally shut off, unlike the others, Izel was less than pleased. She snapped back to 'this' reality. This dull, languid dream.
"So....cramped." The lid to her coffin slid open with a single wave of her hand, announcing another 'hero' that had been sealed had awoken. Izel climbed out of her resting place, feet lightly hitting the dusty, now ancient seeming floor. "Mhm...I forgot how restrictive this body is." She began stretching, raising her arms high into the air, interlocking her fingers. Slowly, she lowered her arms, sliding her hands down her body until one rest on her hips, the other slowly extending outwards until it was fully in front of her.
A small silvery white orb appeared in the palm of her hand before splitting into several smaller ones, dancing in the air briefly before being snuffed out. Seemingly satisfied, she ran a hand through her hair, observing the others that had awoken. Malachi...she eyed Malachi carefully. Those weapons he had understandably made her wary, but she had no reason to fear him. She turned her attention back to the present...specifically Sylphie.
"Hello, my little demi-god." She smirked at the small human. "Mind helping me loosen up a bit? My body is awfully stiff and I'm certain yours is too, so we could help each other~"
As the others talk, Suzuka simply frowned and mostly kept herself close to Link. Dimensional coordinates? Well, she understood they had come to some other place, but that much was it. It wasn't until Nanoha and Youmu mentioned something about cleaning something up that she understood what needed to be done.
"Well I dunno about this 'dimensional coordinates' or whatever, cosplay mage." She grinned. "But this is basically sounds like monster slaying, yeah?" Suzuka brandished Kenmyouren. "This'll be totes easy! I haven't had a good extermination in awhile, so this'll be a good practice run."

"Aha, don't care too much." Claire replied in response to the gender. She waited eagerly for the Larvitar to be handed over to her. As it was brought over and handed to her, the small rock type looked up at her with wide eyes, before tilting its head to the side with a small smile.
"Oh my gosh he's adorable." Claire reached down, scooping up the near two hundred pound pokemon in her arms.
"Laarv!~"
"Ahaha, welcome to the team little guy." Larvitar nuzzled Claire, lightly wiggling in her arms. "Oof....geh, you're heavy okay down you go." She sat Larvitar back down on the counter. Hm, what would be a good name for this little guy? They evolved into Tyranitar, right? Something cool and awesome. Strong and could totally wreck a pokemon. Claire mulled it over a few seconds before settling on a suitable name. "How about...Laurel?" She questioned. "It's a really nice shade of green, just like you."
"...Larv!" Clapping his hands happily, Larvitar reached up for more hugs, not giving Claire much of a chance before launching himself at her.
"Bewh!?" Claire once again, nearly was knocked over by the small pokemon. "Alright alright I get it...you like hugs..." She chuckled, reaching into her bag as she let Larvitar sit on her arm. Geh, he really was heavy. How much did this thing weigh!? She needed to send one of the others back...hm, for now she chose Ritz. She'd need to learn how to juggle all these pokemon later, but for now she headed out of the game corner with Ralia sitting on one shoulder and Laurel being cradled on her arm. First, she stopped by the nearest pokemon center so she could heal up her pokemon.
...for Now she decided to take it a bit easy, strolling through the district at a leisurely pace. She had spent long enough in the entertainment district for now, and needed to get a move on. She'd come back and do the Pokemon Mania or Clarity later...and now she found herself in the Residential district, and something just so happened to catch her eye.
"...little cup?" Claire held a hand to her chin. Level 15 and under only...huh. Might be a good place to practice. Laurel was only level five...so it could be a good idea to get a feel for him and his abilities. "What about it? Wanna have a practice run?"

Claire watched each of the Dodrios as the race started. Dread Divers, Empress, and Zodiac immediately engaged in combat. It was an entertaining show to be sure, but that wasn't what this was. This was a race, and whoever made it to the finish line first would be the winner...this meant Grassball had a pretty good chance of getting a head start - but the battle was over all to quickly. Dread Divers made short work of the two, zooming by a scared Lucky and after Grassball.
Claire held her breath, a death grip forming on the betting table.
...Grassball won!
"YEAAAAH!" Jumping excitedly in victory, Claire spun in the air, grinning brightly.
"Rrraaaalts!~" Ralia jumped, making a few clones to form a little cheer squad before Claire quickly took the pokemon in her arms.
"Ahahaha, nice one!" Was there ever any doubt, though? Of course not. Claire gratefully accepted her winnings, both her bet from the race and her bet with Valarie. "The names Claire! Remember it cuz I'ma be the next best thing in Isson!" Turning to the crowd, Claire addressed her adoring fans with a wave.
"Sorry, I'd love to sign autographs," The redhead grinned. "But I'm on a tight schedule. I'll catch all you awesome people later, because I have a date with the prize counter!~!" Fashionably, Claire began moonwalking backwards, waving at her obviously new fans, shooting them a playful grin. Once she had gotten through the crowd, she spun once before making a beeline for the prize counter.
"One Larvitar please." She shoved all of her coins onto the desk.
Name: Izehulufea Aiuebr'Iukhil "Grand Magus Izel, Catastrophe Izel, Mistress of the Celestial Towers, She who stole the Empress' Panties."
"You can ignore that last one. I assure you, thievery is beneath me, fufu~"
Appearance: Izel possesses an almost otherworldly beauty, with white hair and luminescent red eyes. She normally dresses in her typical hat and robes, with red heels she doesn't seem to have trouble moving in. Oddly, her skin is cold to the touch.
Age: If you believe her, 23 If you don't, she's 132
Race: Human?
Abilities: Izel possesses an incredible capacity for magic, as well as an incredible talent and knowledge of all things magical in nature. Spending most of her life studying the intricacies of magic, she's developed a keen sense for all forms of magic and things of a magical nature and wears the title 'Grand Magus of Unira' as proudly and as skillfully as one may expect of the title. Many assume that for being so skilled and having such a high natural affinity for magic means she can't possibly be human, but that is entirely incorrect. She's as human as they come, of course.
...well, she does have a tendency to freely lie about things -
Izel's abilities are entirely the result of her effectually well, not being human at all. What she is, she doesn't go into detail about, but she is not demon, human, spirit, devil, or anything of the sort. No, she's something much more enigmatic. Something much more sinister. Something a bit darker and baleful, yet equally alluring. Yet at one point, she was most certainly human, for she has human parentage...so when exactly did this happen? She doesn't speak of it. It's due to this otherworldly connection that she has her impressive magical ability and feats. So perhaps, if one were to sever it...
Because of her inhuman slightly spiritual nature, and the fact she in some manner 'exists elsewhere' The Grand Magus has developed some supernatural abilities. A resistance to physical weapons, as well as a weakness to magic, especially of the External sort.
Skills: ...outside of the realm of magical studies, Izel doesn't have much in the way of normal skills. Why walk when you can fly? Why do cleaning when you can just magic the place spotless? Why cook when you can just transmute yourself some wine or prime rib?
Okay that last one may be an exaggeration.
Personality: There's something not quite right about Izel. Perhaps its because of her flamboyant method of movement, her perpetual, playful smirk, or her luminescent ruby-red eyes. Whatever it is, she has a tendency to both make people uneasy with her words, as well as speak in tongues and perhaps, a few riddles every now and then, but aside from that she's utterly normal yes? Normal.
Utter confidence in both herself and her abilities. A mischievous sort, she uses her magic mostly to pester others and generally get on peoples nerves and to make life easier for herself. Flying instead of walking, washing her clothes, etc. For a powerful mage who could scorch an entire continent at will, she doesn't like employing such brute force methods, preferring to rely on her skill and little tricks more often than not. Tends to be rather touchy and has a...'healthy appreciation for the human form' as she puts it.
feel free to throw a fireball at her, she'll enjoy it.
Perhaps its because of her ceasing to be human, but she has a rather harmless disregard for most humans. She doesn't take pleasure in them dying, but if some happen to get burned as collateral, she doesn't mourn them. Do not expect her to go out of her way to help people.
History:
Once upon a time in an ancient land -
A humble mountain village, is where Izel was born to a family of Miners, along with her twin sister. She, always having a talent for the arcane and magical aspects of the world. Her sister being far more physically adept and inclined. For most of their early childhood they were inseparable. The way Izel tells it, she was always dragging her sister into no amount of trouble. Exploring the old mines, dragging her into harmless village pranks, other harmless kid things.
The old mines, where her parents worked were always somewhat of a fascination to Izel. Especially the really, really, old mines. The places where the touch of humans faded and turned into natural caves, deep beneath the earth. Something about it made Izel shiver with wonder and awe, though her sister was always terrified of them.
So of course, it would have been hilarious to drag her sister into something involving the mines. It was supposed to be a harmless prank. Just a number of things Izel did. Let her sister think she was lost in the Old Mines for a bit. Looking back, it was a stupid idea, though Izel probably couldn't tell you this herself. The twins found themselves in the mines, searching for the other and a way out.
The events that followed next, were both subtle and terrible. Izel found something, sleeping beneath the mountain. It made her a deal. Lose her past. Her present. Potentially her future, become part of it, and it would share magical aptitude with her.
There was a reason she took it. A reason, but she can't remember what it was. Either way, she was the only one to walk out of that mine. Probably. Did she walk? She can't remember. She possibly floated. Shortly after, the mine dried up, and the village lost its main source of income, and was abandoned - or so the story goes.
The rest of her life was spent doing feats of magic for the common folk. For the various kingdoms of the time. She even built a library and academy dedicated to the founding and innovation of magic, and over time she developed quite a bit of reputation as one of the more powerful mages upon Unira, some even called her the most powerful - though such a title is not something she'd ever claim herself.
When the empire destroyed her academy and library, she finally took a side in the war against them, but it was for naught. She was strong, to be sure, but she was just a single person against a seemingly endless legion.
Totally not cthulhu in disguise, nope. Hopefully didn't go too overboard. ...Actually not super satisfied with the history since I had to change a few things about the character mid-creation process.
Alright reworked it with 90% more Cthulhu
