Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Penacony -> ????

Alas, her vacation at Penacony was coming to an end. Soon, she'd have to go back to the Loufu and start, ugh, working again. While dealing with the four foot hall and being turned into an Origami bird, overall, her vacation was definitely enjoyable. Ugh, maybe she could feign illness? No, anyway she thought about it there wasn't any particular or easy way for her to just get out of going back, especially since the Madam Diviner thought she was on the Yaoqing.

Ah well, best not to think about it then.

"Aha! Victory!" She slammed the tile down onto the table. Normally she wouldn't be playing Celestial Jade, but after that last incident something more familiar was a nice change of pace. Besides, the dream slots and other things really couldn't compare to good old fashioned Celestial Jade. "Alright, now that I can leave on a good note, I am satisfied. I have no regrets about heading back to the Loufu." Taking her winnings, the Diviner dismissed her table and headed out of the hall, heading through one of the doors on the Trailblazers ship and...

"...huh." Suddenly, daylight. The nighttime of Golden hour was replaced with somewhat artificial seeming Daylight. Not only that, buildings that definitely didn't seem anything like Penacony. Not the grand, luxurious halls, or the retro looking Golden Hour with its skyscrapers and gilded signs. It wouldn't be unheard of to walk through a door and end up somewhere weird in Penacony, after all it was a Dreamscape filled with Memoria.

She'd turn her head just to check, and yep, door was gone. Still, it might be Penacony.

"...hm." On one hand, she had probably been kidnapped again. On the other hand...extended vacation? She could find a way out, but if this place wasn't dangerous and if she could find other people and food and some books, then...she'd quickly check her phone, too. Yep. No signal with anyone. Out of service range?

"Oh well, guess I'm just going to have to postpone my return trip. Shame."

She glanced around the presumably large Plaza. More people here, though she didn't recognize any of them. Well, it'd probably be fine to talk to them.

"Heeeey!" Qingque jogged over to one of the lone guys, waving in a friendly manner. "You wouldn't have happened to be walking around Golden Hour and end up in this weirdly creepy place too?"

"Oh yes, Lisiana, let us just hope the dangerous supposedly domesticated beast likes having armed strangers around." Hysliea folded her arms under her chest as she'd coil her body under her. "Ugh, are we really going after some overgrown chicken? Of course we get the annoying job...well," Haa, why couldn't they take one much more straight forward? Murder some goblins? Deal with some bandits in a manner that would make them think twice about doing such a thing ever again. If she hadn't already agreed to help Quille...tsk. "I suppose if we fail we'll at least have dinner sorted..." She had to wonder perhaps, if the request to find a missing griffin and the one saying a beast was eating cattle were related in some manner. "If we are going after it, I suppose I could easily restrain it myself with magic or," She'd flick the end of her tail against Lisianna's leg. "Otherwise. After that it wouldn't be hard to tie it as long as we have sturdy rope."

"Nothing to report yet, Monique. Lady Cellica, Miss Kynborough and I have taken to the mana-filled entrance." Otelius replied over the comms. "We're currently assessing the situation and thinking of a way forward."

"Be careful all of you. I do not want someone to have to drag someone out that has mana poisoning."

"Yes, that would certainly work. Although, it poses certain risks, too, Lady Cellica." Otelius turned to the elf. "We don't know the rate of how fast it fills, and since we don't really have a good idea of the layout of this section of the facility it would be difficult to navigate precisely and we may end up in a difficult situation if we have to repeatedly clear the room as we travel and end up in a dead end somewhere..." Otelius hummed thoughtfully. "That said...I may have an idea now that we're all here. Miss Kynborough, if you can temporarily remove the mana I could theoretically craft a script that creates a barrier of sorts around the entry point for the mana within the room. Alternatively, I suppose I could also create a small bubble around ourselves...but I dont know how long I could keep that up."

One of the mechanical arms hanging from the ceiling twitched, the metal pincer on the end of its appendage closing a few inches before stopping again at a speed that only a machine could naturally reach.

"Oh? Do be careful. That side was particularly unstable it looked like. Try not to do anything that might compromise the structure of the room."

Of course, that likely didn't need to be said too much.

Regis and Amalie would work easily enough to move the shelf. It was heavy, but manageable enough to simply drag away from the door and off the vehicle, its frame grinding and groaning as its old, weighty body was moved for the first time in centuries. It'd hit the ground with a metallic clang.

Something shifted above. A small stream of dirt and a few rocks fell from where the ceiling was buckling near the pillar.

"Yikes. This place could come down any second, eh?" Khalisa whistled wiping her hands together to brush off some dust after helping move the shelf. "Lemme know if you need my expertise, Amalie. I'ma help Regis take a look at this vehicle."

The vehicle in question was in well, what looked like fairly good condition all things considered. It vaguely resembled a large flat rectangle, the main body made of some sturdy metal It didn't seem to have any seat for a human operator, either, the top being completely smooth and flat, the only noticeable structure on it were two sturdy looking metal rods sticking up from the front. The wheels on it, if it had them, were nothing more than empty wells at this point.

There wasn't any visible ports or way to interact with it from a usual physical or wired connection.

"Hm. This thing is pretty typical of ancient construction. Probably has some fancy scripts or executables that make it work." Khalisa said, climbing on top of the vehicles smooth surface, laying down on it so one of her ears was pressed against it before giving it a solid thump. "Sounds like it at least. Its insides dont make any sense otherwise."

The keypad...well, it was some sort of keypad. A hand sized square next to the door on a completely flat touch-screen. Ancient script flickered on its surface, though it was hard to make out what exactly it was saying. Like the vehicle, there wasn't an easily accessible port, but that didn't mean it wasn't physically wired in some way if it was connected to the door.

Slim pickings as far as the requests go. A search for a domesticated griffin and something seemingly like some forest haunting. If she had to pick, she'd probably go with the forest haunting. Still, neither seemed simple, and she much preferred something simple.

"Haaa. Both of these seem annoying." The Lamia complained, flicking her tail and huffing annoyedly. "Neither seem particularly straightforward, hm. At least if we take that job in greenleaf, it might be something interesting other than dealing with a runaway house pet." Her thoughts though, were interrupted by the sound of a slightly familiar voice. She shifted her gaze to the woman who had spoke.

...

What was her name again? She was the daughter of that one extremely naggy teacher, wasn't she?

"Oh, its you." Hyseliea frowned lightly. "I would ask how your mother is doing but I'd rather not invite such a curse into this conversation." She huffed, though her mouth soon turned up until a small smile. "Busy lecturing some innocent serpent on why she shouldn't use magic to pull harmless pranks, hm? Good to see you too, Lisiana."

She'd pull down the two listings.

"Quille and I here were considering which job to take. Care to join us or shall you take your chances with the crowd to find your own?"

"Sounds like everyones in agreement then. Lady Cellica, Miss Anette, and myself will head into the corridor above and see if we can't deal with this mana problem." He'd walk over to where the rope was to the catwalk above as he spoke. "Regis, Khalisa, and Amalie will head into the ground level corridor and see if they can't find a way into the facility proper and get that door open."

"Hup-" Lizzie's frame shuddered slightly as a large hatch on its front opened up. The surprisingly well dressed Tivven would clamber out, climbing down the front of the large mech with agile movement, landing softly on the ground a few seconds later. "Sounds like a plan to me." She'd grab a pack full of tools from a storage spot on Lizzie's leg and sling it over her shoulder. "Big ol' door like that probably has a manual release somewhere. Maybe in a security room or something? Whatevs, should be easy with the two tin cans."

"Then lets get going."

Climbing up the rope was easy enough, if one could ignore the creaking of the metal catwalk. Supposing Anette simply didn't decide to carry everyone up with her magic. Heading down the passage would soon lead to a broken door, long since haven been stuck in an open position. A small plaque written in ancient script sat next to it, old, faded and barely legible. Once inside of the room it was remarkably well preserved, on either side of it were what seemed to be large pillars that went from the floor and ending just before reaching the ceiling. A few had blinking lights of blues and reds. Along these odd pillars were boxes and crates. mechanical arms of mechs hanging from the ceiling, sitting on old shelving corroded and rusted.

A soft, blue glow and a gentle mist was filtering in from some vents above before disappearing into the air.

"This room is about as far as we could get as far as remote recon could go." Otelius spoke up. On the other side of the room was a hallway. Taking even a few steps down it would reveal the room after was covered in a thick, blue mist that was steadily rolling into the the room they were currently in. Accidentally breathing any in would cause a brief coughing fit. "The rooms beyond are completely flooded."

"Testing...testing, this is Monique! Hows everyone doing? Any problems getting in so far?" There waqs a beep on their com devices as Moniques voice soon chimed in.

The debris and seemingly makeshift entrance creaked as the trio stepped into it, the supports groaning slightly under the vibrations from their foot steps, but primarily the two heavy mechanical suits. Steel beams, whatever Khalisa and the other engineers repurposed, seemingly from the site itself meshed with whatever she could get her hands on to hold it up. Lights had been strung up through the corridor creating a dim glow.

If nothing else, the hallway was holding.

"See? Nothin' to worry about. Dumb pointy eared bougie. Pfft, this is peak Tivven engineering." Khalisa grumbled as she'd have taken the decision to take point down the corridor. "Like A Tivven doesnt know how to build something to last, humph." One of her ears twitched irritably as the short hallway would soon open up into a larger room.

"Anyways, this is about as far as we got here." The room in question...well, it didn't look too terribly different from the hallway truthfully. A large, rectangular shaped room littered with various old machines and scraps of debris. Part of the roof had long since collapsed on the same side that they had come out on creating a pile of rock and earth filling the room. Part of the ceiling on the right side had collapsed as well, only held up by an old support column that was bending suspiciously. What seemed to be some kind of vent was hanging off of it, a blue, glowing mist leaking from it. "We determined it would probably be best not to mess around too much. Its really not very stable so be careful. The only way through is through that door over there."

The door in question seemed to be a sliding door. A keypad of some sort right next to it. There was just two problems. Going up to it offered no response aside from a very low scraping noise as it refused to open and a keypad next to it blinking faintly red in error. The second problem was that a large metal shelving of some kind had fallen over in front of it, resting at an angle on some wheeled ancient wheeled vehicle.

"Think either one of ya could get that door working?" Khalisa would walk over to some of the old machines and start inspecting it.

"Testing...testing, this is Monique! Hows everyone doing? Any problems getting in so far?" There waqs a beep on their com devices as Moniques voice soon chimed in.
