After she had finished her morning run, following a quick shower and getting dressed in her uniform, Tohru walked into the classroom with a confident smile and a spring in her step, but upon lieu of a rather...humorous argument catching her ears, her smile shifted to a bewildered glance towards Rin and Yuuko, the girl Rin apparently bested in a duel just a day ago. As the flustered drama queen stormed past her muttering to herself, Tohru just giggled to herself and took her seat, giving a cheerful good morning to Rin. "Ohayou, Rin-san. I'm not sure what that was about, but I do believe Yuuko-San will probably be challenging you again."

Her face, so round and adorable, those doey amber eyes gazing at her so flustered, she enjoyed it, every second of it. Asuka giggled softly, leaning to snatch Ryuko-chan's glasses before someone stepped on them. If she knew anything of Claymore, it was how cruel some girls could be. ~"There, you clumsy thing."~ She teased, obligingly slipping them back onto her, her hand seeming to touch Ryuko's cheek for a moment. ~"It would be a shame for you to lose them. You look so cute with them on."~ Pleasantly she mused, her smile so affectionate. ~"Oh and Ryuko-chan, you don't have to address me so formally. I assure you I won't be offended if you call me Asuka."~

@Fubsy To...the future!! \^o^/ But yeah I just figured after the graduation there would be a timeskip to like a few years later when everyone is adjusted to their careers and whatnot. But I'm cool with whatever the great GM has in store.

So embroiled in thought was she that she didn't even hear the soft melody of a girl singing to herself, nor did she expect that she would bumble into said girl. The impact of two bodies was sudden, eliciting from Asuka a surprised gasp as she stumbled backwards trying to regain her grace and balance. ~"Ah! Gomenasai, I didn't-"~ Humble and quiet was her apology as she bowed, her cheeks blushing a bright shade of rose, but she paused mid sentence upon view of who she had bumped into. ~"Ryuko-chan."~ Happily she purred the girl's cute little name. Her bitter scowl became an inviting smile in an instant. ~"Good morning."~

If there was any sound that people grew to hate and utterly despise over the years, it would have to be the shrill, cantankerous ringing of an alarm early in the morning. Such a ruckus awoke Tohru, pulling her from her cryptic, bizarre dream, her phone on the nightstand beside her buzzing off the hook. "Ugh...okay. Okay! I'm up." She muttered weakly, a hand reaching from under the covers to silence her alarm. A minute or so she laid there before peeling the covers back and shuffling out of bed with a stretch and a yawn. Her vision, at first blurry, adjusted shortly while she glanced around the room, realizing that her roommate had already gone. "Hmm? Where's Rin-san?" Tohru pondered aloud. If anything, the girl must've left early to beat the rush at the cafeteria. Tohru figured then she would meet up with Rin later. Besides, it was a bright and beautiful morning outside, the perfect time to go for a run around the school.

Slipping into her athletic clothes, she grabbed her phone and stuck in her earbuds, the sound of Something Good by Alt-J treating her ears to musical bliss. Then, she was out the door, a swift jog down the hall, down the stairs, and out onto the school grounds, the warm sun and brisk morning air feeling great as she ran.

She had been awake for some time after getting ready for the day, fixing her hair up in her accustomed ponytail and touching up her good looks before venturing out to greet the morning. Last night...she couldn't describe how it made her feel. How a girl like Ryuko-chan somehow penetrated the cold boundary ensnaring her heart in its black talons was beyond her, but in that very moment, the moment she felt the girl's hand clasp onto hers, the moment she felt...such warmth, for once Asuka felt like she was...special, cherished. By all she had been hated for so long, by both family and students alike. The only one who honestly cared for her was Chizuru, and...she wasn't here anymore. She was dead.

Quietly she strolled across the school grounds, ignoring the snide remarks and ghoulish gossips being whispered about among the gaggle of girls flanking her on all sides. Try as she may to dismiss them however...they were still jagged, poisonous thorns lodged into her aching heart. Damn them....every last one of them. The Princess of Devils, once an honorable title, but it bears no weight or merit to me anymore. It's a stigma upon me, a loathsome moniker I want to be rid of. Hmph...even devils have sympathy...
