So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.
It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.
<Snipped quote by Ellri> A luminous burning sensation akin to sunburn or bad chilli.
<Snipped quote by Ellri> Som's very much in-tune with the flow of energies in his body due to his religious upbringing, so I felt the selection of power would be appropriate for him. As he failed the Trials twice his training has been a little longer than most Padawan, giving him plenty of time to work on the 'fundamentals' but they're all still quite low-powered versions of the abilities, unlike that of a Knight or a Master, and I won't be overplaying their value to someone who is still technically only a Padawan. :)
As a quick note, I've only included the Plant Surge ability in his profile as a note for future development, not as an active ability at this time. While Som possesses the potential to use the power he's far from learning how to at even a very basic level, beyond making a seed sprout after several minutes of dedicated concentration, as noted on his profile, which may or may not prove to be an asset in the story.
Which other characters would've been either studying or teaching at the Temple within the last 5-10 years, and would their owners be willing to have Som as their colleague, trainee or otherwise known associate?
<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>
I take no responsibility for that. You knew those memory erasing drugs were past their use by dates when you bought them from me and I never guaranteed their effectiveness. :P
If he has been in the Meditation Gardens or other tranquil areas it is possible he has at least met Koren within the past 2 months.
It's funny how different people deal with frustration. I don't remember being driven to punch or kick walls or other objects much at all in my life, something which many characters and people seem to do. I just find something else to do to take my mind off it, like yesterday I just played a game for a while instead of actually going and kicking a wall. My Drakken empire shall rule over Auriga! (If anyone has the game I'm referencing, we should play sometime!)
Never mind me, I like musing over and analyzing how people work. I like to think it'll make me a better writer, but I don't know. XD
I do games, but if I am really annoyed I like to really hit something.
Though blowing people up on TF2 also works wonders.
I enjoyed that post @baskets, I read it like a circus ringleader announcing a big performance. Now that you mention it though, it could be the Joker too.
I think she's going to be the one trying to lead the team, when the time comes.
just a note after writing that post: it's occurred to me that I'm writing characters within the character of Sai as she adapts different personas for different scenarios. Her true personality that I have for her is definitely bleeding through, but it was an interesting process trying to write out that "showtime" paragraph.
not sure what point I'm trying to make, maybe I'm just saying writing a smuggler that "moonlights" of sorts as a con artist will be a bit more difficult than I expected. so if Sai's character seems a bit shaky at all in the future (or even at present and I've just completely missed some glaring character inconsistency), that's probably just me struggling with writing her!
edit: also, I think I'm playing too much Batman these days. I'm reading Sai's speech almost like a less homicidal Joker.
That's all right. I do the same, my opening posts are sometimes a bit varied as I get into the character. It's why I am letting us do these intros, get into character then go off on a mission.
Hidan is more of a face. He doesn't do the fighting, he is the charmer. Assassin... Yeah, he's an assassin. Scourge..... They are all the same person yes? They have the same build, just different personalities. Scourge is the crazy and brash one who messes it up for the team. Scourge does what he wants and can do the switch whenever he wants, though he has to do it secretly without the other two knowing. The team may be doing a diplomatic scene and then Scourge just ruins it all by switching. Scourge is not a tank. Scourge is the personality that hurts the team. Hidan can't do anything about it because it's his own head. He's not a tank because they all have the same body, their body doesn't become muscle bound when Scourge comes in, the body will not become lighter when Assassin comes in. They have their body and they work with it. Hidan isn't the pilot because he isn't qualified, Scourge doesn't know how to pilot but wanted to pilot so he did, Assassin isnt qualified either.
Sorry if it seems like my character is op.
All right I just thought you were dishing out skills quite differently. If the main difference really is how they approach the situation then I'm fine with that.
Though bear in mind your char does cross over a bit skill wise, and I am fine with that but just remember other people are specialized and focus on that one thing :P
