So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Not the longest post ever, but I feel it introduces the dynamic of the pair nicely. If it seems jumpy let me know, I'm practicing of the dynamic of using two characters as a single unit.
The worst thing about 3030 wasn't the dank air or the humidity, she had been to plenty of worlds with those conditions. Nor was it the smell, while aweful Mar had taken her to plenty of worlds that rivalled the smell in 3030. No, what struck at her heart. Made her tremble slightly inside and quite as a small scrap mouse that inhabited Coruscant. Of course, she couldn't hide this from Mar, who turned to face her with the expressionless helmet. He was sitting in the passanger seat of the transport, he never drove the vehicle. Not since she learnt how to drive, he said it was a safety precaution. If they were to come under attack it would be far more likely that he could hit a target in a moving vehicle than her, and while you can shoot and drive why take the added risk?

So instead he observed her in the same quiet way he always did. Sometimes the way he read her mind made it as if he could use the Force. Though she knew he couldn't, he was lucky like that. He never had to feel people die around them, nor was he hunted purely for being raised by a religious order whose sole goal was to better the people of the Galaxy. Though she turned to Mar and smiled, shaking herself out of her own reverie. They had a job to do, and thinking about the past wasn't going to help anyone. Especially not where they were going, in 3030 if you didn't keep your wits about you you were going to lose something. "Buir, something troubling you?"

He smiled beneath his helmet at the Mandalorian word. She had started trying to pick it up several years ago, feeling that it would make her more of a Mandalorian. To be fair to be a true Mandalorian you had to follow the resol'nare, and that was one of the tennents. Though it still amused him sometimes, more so when she made a mistake. "Nothing Ad'ika. Just thinking about the last time we were here." She wasn't technically his daughter, at least not in the biological sense. Though for those from Mandalore family meant more than blood. "If I recall correctly, I met a poor lost soul..."

He pulled his helmet over his head and placed it in his lap, flashing her a grin. "Who joined me and became a constant pain in the neck ever since." She gave him a cold stare, she had been practicing. Though she only lasted a couple of minutes before she too broke into a laugh. It had been too long since he had heard that laugh, she had been truly put on edge when she heard of a Force adept living in the underworld of Coruscant. Which was the only reason he agreed to come on this job, she needed the closure. Whether there was another surviving Jedi or if wheoever it was was just a member of some other group. As Mar did have to remind her, the Jedi weren't the only ones who could perform tricks with the Force.

"You know Mar, I'm really glad you came down to thirty-thirty." She flashed him a genuine smile, the kind that made her eyes glisten slightly. It was a sad smile in a way, and reflective. She was likely thinking of her life before, and what her life was leading her too before he came. He just put his hand on her shoulder and smiled back at her.

"So am I." He looked out the viewport to see the landing pad up ahead as he put his hands on his helmet. "The bounty was good." That was the last straw, as she began laughing again.

Ten Minutes Later

The two walked through the dirt ridden streets of 3030. They weren't side by side, he guessed that was the independent and rebellious side of Tanya coming out. He winced when he recalled the teen years, how Jedi Knights ever managed to teach teenage Jedi Padawans was a mystery that he'd probably never find the answer too. It was cheating when you tried to make all the responsible decisions and they could just levitate objects around, while Tanya had had largely abandoned the Force it hadn't stopped her from being a right little terror. She still could be, damn girl was making him go soft.

Most people parted the way for him, after all. While Mandalorians weren't a common sight down here in 3030, most people either knew the armour or just recognised a bounty hunter when they saw one. Obviously Bounty Hunters travelled alone unless they had prisoners, Tanya was obviously no prisoner so most people didn't class the two as a group. So she had to budge and barge past people while Mar walked relatively unchallenged. He chuckled to himself, knowing full well that if she decided to use her fancy Force powers she'd pick up on that. When he stopped at a junction and saw her face, he knew she didn't need to. She knew he was enjoying this far too much.

That's when he noticed the tattoos on the men who happened to be walking around her, and before he knew it they had weapons drawn on her. "Hey little miss, fancy a fun time?" One of them raised a vibroknife to just below her kneck, holding the flat of the blade to touch her skin. He slid the point down, just in contact with her skin. Enough to feel it but to not enough to leave a mark or draw blood, they'd be glad of that when this was over.

He kept moving the knife down until it reached her chest, before she responded two more grabbed her arms. That's when she shot a look to Mar, the men with stars on them turned to see what she was looking at.

"Not another 'ruddy one. Just keep on moving pal, your stolen armour doesn't scare us."

"Has nobody ever told you aruetii, ke nu'jurkadir sha Mando'ade." He smirked under his helmet, of course to them he was just a faceless helmet. They looked at one another, obviously not understanding the Mando'a.

Tanya was the one to speak up. "He said, don't toy with mandalorians"

Mar shook his head "Actually Ad'ika. It's don't mess with Mandalorians." He lowered his hands to his pistols, but didn't grab them just yet. The man still had a knife to Tanyas throat after all, he'd need to be fast. "This is your last chance, I have no quarrel with the Blackened Stars. Though if a drop of her blood is spilled, or she is bruised in anyway. You shall regret it."
Oh, I just post in the interest check and the RP is up and running... Well I'll get a character going in some time

You're not the first, and won't be the last on the Guild to do that xD
I'm sort of tenuously here. Not gonna lie, the fact that those I was sort of collabing with disappeared is as disorienting as it is disheartening. I'd feel bad to just ditch this completely as a result, so I'll see what I can come up with to get back on track.

It's alright, the Christmas season is Hectic.

I hold no grudges, I will however post tonight no matter what happens.
Gonna have to agree with Sep on this one

Well I am an agreeable person.

@Sep Both characters accepted.

Thankee Sir, should have my intro up tonight.
@Sep That's a difficult question. It depends a lot on how the rest of the escape is going to be. Generally speaking, I'd say no, but maybe the others feel differently about it?

Fair play. I'm just checking to see if for others it is preferable.

Hopefully Naril will get her post up today if not I'll post.

@Sep Not sure. How far forwards would you even be thinking?

Likely to the end of the tunnel, out of immediate danger. Though I'm only going to do that if I get a majority.

Name - Mar of the clan Den.
Species - Human (Mandalorian)
Gender - Male
Age - 35
Occupation - Bounty Hunter

Appearance -

Apparel - As above, below his armour he typically wears a black flightsuit. As to keep him warm and well insulated. Will post up any clothing differences as and when they happen.
Weapons - 1x Westar-M5 Blaster Rifle, 2x Westar-35 Blaster Pistols, 1x Electro-whip, Various Explosives
Equipment - Beskar Mandalorian Helmet complete with HUD and air purification system, Jetpack and a ascension cable mounted in his right wrist while his left wrist packs three small tranquilizer darts. He carrys no other equipment.
Skills -
  • Mandalorian Raised - Being raised by True Mandalorians he has been through the verd'goten. As such he is a well trained hunter and combatant. More so than your average grunt.
  • Hunter - While he was raised as a fighter he has become an excellent hunter. He has become proficient at tracking down targets in all kinds of terrain, and even between systems if he has too. Though he tries to prevent it from coming to that. Then once he has sight on his target he's well versed in using the terrain to his own advantage and turning it against his opponent.
  • Blaster Combat - As mentioned above (But I'll cover here in more detail) he has been trained in many forms of combat. While some of these are forgotten skills that he cannot draw from blaster combat remains a well honed skill. He considers himself an excellent shot at mid/close range.
  • Melee Combat - Like almost everyone who has gotten involved in the Galactic Underworld he can defend himself with his fists or whatever impromptu weapon finds it's way into his hands. However his signature weapon is his electro-whip. A rare weapon to see outside of slave markets he has trained with it for years making him an expert in it's use.

Flaws -
  • Code of Honour - Like most Mandalorians who follow the Resol'nare he follows a strict code of honour. In the underworld where the job may require you to get dirty this can be an issue.
  • Long Range - He can shoot a blaster and hit his mark, but anything that requires a scope is quite often out of his comfort zone.
  • Technologically inept - He can repair his weapons and armour to keep them going. Anything other than that is out of his league.

Personality - Outward to those he doesn't know, doesn't trust he speaks plainly and with a tone of disinterest. When confronted he treats it more as an inconvenience than a problem which adds to the level of intimidation the armour typically holds over most lowlifes. To those he knows, and those he counts as kin he is warm hearted and loyal, boisterous and joyful.

Tanya will often joke that when he puts the helmet on he loses all the winning aspects of his personality, Mar is quite willing to agree.
Goals - He's in 3030 to give Tanya some closure, and pick up whatever money he can while he's doing it. As soon as that's done he'll be ready to head back to his ship and get the hell off the cesspit that is Coruscant.

That said, he'll stay as long as Tanya needs him. There is a duty of care after all.

Backstory -

Mar was born before the war, while the majority of Mandalore turned to pacifist ways and became what was known as the "New Mandalorians" the Den clan was one of the few that still clung to the old ways, as such their little homestead in the mountains upon Mandalore became very isolated against the rest of the planet and the Galaxy. However they weren't the only clan that decided to stick to the old ways and as such the clans all managed to stay somewhat self sufficient, time marched on as it waited for no man.

He became a man at the age of 13 like all Mandalorians, passing the rite. He was given a weapon, and his first drink. Though this was when he decided that this was not the life he wished to live among the stars. He cared for his family, for his clan, immensely but at the same time he felt that something in his life was missing. So he pitched his desire to leave to the heads of his clan. They agreed that he could leave, though he was a man now and if he wished to leave he would need to forge his own path. Wearing his armour, and the helmet made of the now rare beskar he went on foot, to the nearest city.

It was a long journey, literally taking two years across land. He was given opportunities to gain transportation however he felt that to do so would dishonour his clan. They had told him to do this himself, and that it was something he had to do. So he would do it, and nothing could stand in his way. On occasion hunger or thirst would set in, but he would not let his own body defeat him and so, at fifteen years of age and with hair and a beard far too long he made his escape from Mandalore. Which was when he decided that he would never let his hair or beard grow again.

These years he doesn't like to discuss. It's when he became a hunter, while at first he hunted rare game for credits eventually those skills were transposed onto sentient beings. Some of the choices he made during these years still haunt him, however he chooses to let those choices remain in the past. As, while the Clone Wars never truly affected him in the outer rim (People still wanted other people killed or capture, war or no war) the final day of the Clone Wars would change his life forever.

-See combined history below-

Name - Tanya of the Clan Den (As she liked to claim)
Species - Human (Unknown)
Gender - Female
Age - 17
Occupation - Mechanic/Slicer (Present), Jedi Padawan (Past)

Appearance -

Apparel - As above.
Weapons - 1x Lightsaber (Rarely leaves the confines of the ship), 1x Westar 34 blaster pistol
Equipment - Nothing other than her communicator.

Skills -
  • Jedi Padawan(Barely) - Her first five years she spent in the Jedi Temple. While she is no expert in the use of the Force she's better at using it than someone who has no training. Though for years she has decided to tune it out, after all. Being a Jedi gets you killed in the Empire.
  • Mechanic/Slicer - She spent a gruesome year in 3030 in her childhood. The only way to survive was to be useful, luckily she found work aiding an elderly mechanic before the gangs got to her.
  • Blaster Training - She can hold a blaster, and aim it better than someone who has had no training. That said she wouldn't be much use in a firefight.

Flaws -
  • Hunted - She has the burden of knowing of the Force, and having access to it in a time where to do so would cause the greatest powerhouse in the Galaxy to come crashing down after her.
  • Naive - The flaw of being young.
  • Nightmares - She witnessed the entire Jedi Order being wiped out, spent a grueling year in the Coruscant Underworld as a child. This takes it's toll.

Personality -
Goals - Tanya wants to search for the truth in the rumours that the Hutts on level 3030 have a force sensitive working with them and if it is true find out if they too were a Jedi. The main reason being for closure, maybe there are others like her?

That said she has grown immensely attached to Mar, seeing him as a father figure. While she feels she needs to do this she also wants to make him proud, hopefully proud enough to one day put her through the rite of passage to become a true Mandalorian.

Backstory - Tanya doesn't remember her parents, being raised by the Jedi from a very young age. Though what she does know is she has always had a natural affinity for machines. Throughout her time as an Initiate within the Jedi Temple she struggled with the finer subtleties of the Force until one wizened Jedi Knight described it to her as like a giant machine. From that moment on she managed to actually progress in her studies to a suitable degree that it looked as if she would be able to attain the rank of Padawan and one day become a Jedi Knight!

Though this all changed the year before she was to sit her trials. Though as a four year old she never truly grasped the concept the Galaxy was engulfed in war, the likes of which had not been seen for thousands of years. The Jedi very much took the centre stage of this conflict, with a former member leading the opposing faction and they themselves becoming Generals to lead an army of Clones against the Separatist threat.

Soon her former dreams of being a mighty Jedi stopping crime across the galaxy shifted, as it did for all the other initiates. She dreamed of leading Forces on the battlefield to glorious victory against the evil Separatists! So when she passed her trials and was chosen to be a Padawan to an elderly Wookie Jedi named Worror she wondered what lay in her future.

The answer sweat and grime. The Jedi were some of the few authority figures to have power, and be seen in the undercity of Coruscant. Worror was especially intimidating and well known. With the thought that the war would remove all Jedi presence in what was potentially a cesspool of Separatist weapons and sympathizers some of the older Jedi not capable to lead battalions into battle instead turned their attention deeper into the planet.

They truly were disgusting years, she spent her time fixing mechanical faults. While there were large gang presences many wouldn't fire as soon as a lightsaber was ignited. Though sadly she would only receive two years under his care. Operation Knightfall fell upon the night of her seventh birthday (Not that there was a party or gifts or anything). Her master told her to wait in the hotel room when they felt the disturbance in the Force, that he'd be back once he found out what it was.

He never came back.

She stayed in the hotel room for as long as possible, until the owner literally had her kicked out under threat of her being put to work. A street urchin for a time, she had no choice but to look for work being nearer to the "southern" end of the sector lest she be made into a slave. Though that was the good alternative, for days before she had seen the broadcast. Heard the news of the Jedi being wiped out by the Republic, and then the subsequent offer of reward for those that handed in any stray Jedi. She couldn't take that risk.

She luckily found work working for an old mechanic, it was a relatively quite and peaceful experience compared to the life of most on 3030. No-one really bothered her, she didn't bother anyone. She rarely left the shop, even going as far as sleeping in it. Though once again, her life would be turned upside down.

The Stars had been expanding their territory, the old mechanics shop was just in the ideal spot for a brand new bar, when asked to sell it he had refused. This shop had been in his family for generations, and would continue to be in his family for generations to come! He was nothing but not stubborn.

you do have a tendency to come off as hostile in your responses xD, and we do not want to deter anyone until Heat makes a decision on the matter. Thank you that is all.

I can accept that :L
@frapet You also don't want me to be the one marking your sheet anyway. I'm quite strict with them :P

Ah! I thought he did make you co-gm, oh well!

He still might, IDK. The topic kinda moved on from there when we were talking about it.
<Snipped quote by Sep>

Does that count as a character approved?

Oh, I'm not a GM, or a Co-GM.

@Heat talked about making me a Co-Gm but I don't think he did it.

I have no power here, I am just someone who knows too much a lot about Star Wars.
