So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

@The Kid Lantern I think it won't focus on Spidey we'll just notice the different suits in clear progression. I would heavily doubt we'd see a Iron Spidey suit unless it was at the end as a teaser. It'd just be silly I think BUT, we could always see a black Spider-man suit like at the end of Civil War. In terms of Bucky/FalCap/SteveCap in the end it's upto the studio. Sure Chris Evans wants to continue on the role, but Robert Downey Jr likes his role as Iron Man too, doesn't mean they're going to keep him on forever unless they know for a fact their movies are going to continue raking in as much money because actors get paid and extortionate amount (Always annoys me when actors preach for charity, or say they love a role. a) You could donate more to charity than I ever could dipshit and b) if you love it so much why are you wanting paid for it?). So in the end it depends whether or not Disney/Marvel want to keep going with the more expensive options or usher in a new age of heroes.

To be fair they could probably do films on smaller heroes that later ties into the Avengers with all the big names, but it really depends on how they want to do it. In terms of TV-Verse I do like their netflix shows (As it's a way for them to give heroes that should be darker, a darker tone without jumping on the R-Rated bandwagon). DC... no. I like @Dedonus am not really looking forward to BvS. Okay I could live with it being Batmans first appearance in the DC-Cinematic Universe as everyone knows his origin story by now, and we've got an older Batman.

Though Flash? Wonder Woman? Even read somewhere they may attempt to shoehorn Aquaman in. I will be the first to admit that DC have some great characters, but they're trying to catch up with Marvel too fast and it's going to shoot themselves in the foot from a story telling standpoint. Okay maybe these heroes don't need an Origin story movie anymore, but they do need introduced. They're trying to throw everything together just to aim for the Justice League and I think it's going to end up a mess. They would have been better to do a BvS (But with a smaller villain than Doomsday), Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman (not in that order), Dawn of Justice (Which is essentially the first Justice League Film) then went from there.

I think another thing that is grinding my gears with DC is they're moving away from the comic theme. Marvel can have darker stories while keeping a very comic-book feel. Winter Soldier proved that, Incredible Hulk proved that (it wasn't darker but it was a pretty heavy film). DC is going dark but I feel its taking some of the fun out of it from it being from a comic. I don't care that Superman killed, or that half the city was destroyed or whatever. It's the way they did it and made it so... dark that I don't like. Come on, lighten up a bit. Take the filter off. It's a comic book movie for christ sake. That's like someone remaking Winnie the Pooh and making him an emo. That said, some comic book movies deserve to be darker/rougher. I.E. Deadpool is good being an R-Rated and Batman works as a dark movie.

That said, @Dedonus has a point. The DC TV-verse is on point.
@Fat Boy Kyle do I need to push you out of a window? :P
Well, well, well.

What do we have here? Indecent exposure? @Eddie Brock, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Bleh. That post was a master course in stumbling to the finish just to get done, but I felt bad not having it up earlier in the day as I planned. Alas, I'll just work twice as hard on the next Spider-Man post as penance.

At least you didn't start with a reasonably short post and end up with a shit tonne of words and the odd feeling that you may have rambled a bit xD I actually have a query for you anyway, why Flash and Spider-man?

I mean obviously you're a big Spidey fan but why Flash? I noticed there's usually a common thread between characters when people have more than one, but the only one I can really find for Flash and Spider-man is they both think they're hilarious.
I don't use it as a crutch. I use it to make my posts a bit more fun, colourful and comicy. This is a comicbook rp we are in.
Meta-Humans are people who gain abilities through external incidents where as Mutants are born with a genetic mutation.

That's what I thought.

Thanks for clarifying

And Super-weaving Wraith, don't forget the super-weaving!

(Have I mentioned today how much I love the silver age?)

Is it not cheating to just pick something and put the word "Super" in front of it?

Interestingly in my habit of asking questions...

What are you all looking at getting out of this? I mean I know we're all roleplayers, and it's superheroes... duh. Though now you're here with all this DC/Marvel stuff going on what is it you're looking for?

Me, I've always been a fan of the Hulk/Banner relationship, and I think the introduction of DC adds some new interesting angles in that regard. Not to mention a host of new enemies able to go toe to toe with him and more people who want to exploit his power (looking at you @Vandy).

With Colossus I'm playing the more tragic story, if any of you have read my latest post you may notice that, with the reaction of the public on the street level. Mutants have always had it rough, simply because they're born that way and not changed so there's the whole 'feeling threatened' thing going on. Aliens exist in Marvel but none of them are as high profile heroes such as Superman and the Martian Manhunter (Not counting Thor as he's a God), so it adds a whole new layer to the dynamic of people feeling threatened by Mutants.

Again like with Hulk it also adds in a whole new dynamic of possible villains.

Though for that I need to ask @Morden Man are we going with Meta-humans and Mutants being the same? Where is the line drawn?

Also damnit @BlackSam3091 everyone else does the location in their posts on the right. Get with the god damn program (I am jks)
@Heat Bibliosexual, more like. Mmm... sexy books.

Well. This is awkward. Poor, poor Egren. Guess Sish can have him now.
@TheMoatedGrange someone after my own heart.
@Lord Wraith there is my answer. Thank you sir. I know some comic book science is involved, but when some people try to half ass explain it it gets confusing.
@Blue Demon

Is anyone else worried? Or just us Mutant players?
