@obisemkenobi He will answer to the Admiral (Yes I know he's military) but he will still have the authority to investigate the Admiral if that's where the trail leads on a specific case, at least for now. We may (IC at some point) elect a Civilian leader.

So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.
It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

@obisemkenobi the NCIS comparison was simply as it is a civilian agency. There are 100,000 waken souls aboard, some are scientists, some are military and the rest are there to perform other duties such as food production, bar tending work, cleaning just everything that will keep the ship and the people aboard going for however long they need to. The Police (I'll probably come up with an acronym or nickname later) are there to keep a check on Military Personnel and Civilian without being under military control, because a) The Military is a bad choice in police force, unless you want an authoritarian state and b) for the reason I mentioned before where Military Officials might abuse rank if all the security was military controlled.
To clear up yesterday what I meant about families to @FrozenEcstasy, families are kept separate to keep family lines apart and due to the long nature of the journey. Would you rather your family got to wake up to a fresh start or go through the unknown for so many years? It's also in a bid to try to decrease any potential drama on the ship, and make sure that there is no unemployment. You don't want a 15 year kid who is a viable choice to make planetfall on the ship because he wouldn't be able to do much. You also want to try and preserve as many family lines as possible, which means packing the ship to maximum capacity and why the crew of the ship are limited to three family members who are viable choices, which means young and healthy and with skills needed to build a new home for humanity. Only reason kids are included in that is if, for whatever reason, reproduction doesn't go as planned you need a next generation.

@obisemkenobi It is very very very very very unlikely due to all the security in place during boarding operations. If you can make a sheet and make it work, and make me believe it then that'll be fine, you just really need to sell the idea.

@Metronome this is really the 'shiny' faze where everyone wants to post rps rarely keep this activity up after time.
We can still need a police chief, why? People may ask. Security is military run, to deal with military threats and protect away teams etc. and would work closely wotj a police department but having the police being military is a bad idea, they need to be independent of the traditional chain of command so that if say a Commander abuses his authority he can't order security to ignore it. Same reason why the military investigators IRL such as MI5 and NCIS are civilian based. I am really sorry though, yesterday between this and real life stuff I was a bit strained for time if I had remembered you wanted Head of Security I would have waited and compared sheets to make the decision, I hope you'll think about the Police/Investigator position and if not I am sorry to see you go.
@vosenedich while that is an interesting layout in the bio section can you have a couple of paragraphs (even in a hider) detailing his life cause really at this moment I am unsure of where he has been and why he'd be aboard. It is cool just, hard to extract much from. Also being a standard robot just be aware that you won't be getting one of the luxury sweets all the meaty fleshbags get.

@OrangeInk I just realized her age. She would have been seven when the Devastators attacked 20 years ago, yet the sheet says she is engaged. Probably due to how I split up the interlude. Three Day War (Devastators never seen before, so she couldn't have heard stories), 10 years pass nothing, then they're detected on deep space sensors. However make no advancement for another ten years (now). So for the fiance comment to make sense you may want to bump her up to 37.

@Sovi3t Well an AK-47 would have a modern variant, which would have electromagnetic rails/smart targeting and smart bullets. The design will have evolved, they wouldn't just go "Lets strap a rail on this and see what happens."
@The Survivor United Earth Council is on left shoulder, on right is their home nation and below that is the Vitaes, any "Unit patches" like the one you are having as an engineer would be on the left below the Councils.
