Analysis

1) If medical tests have shown he's clean, why is he imprisoned? Why is he handed over to the mining Guild?
2) Was* a student, no?
3) I await the rest of your skills to be explained in your history.
4) So he's weak, and meak. What else is his flaw? Is he scared of the dark? A good balance in RP is Strengths = Weaknesses, in number.

History

1) How is one well off but not well off? Couldn't you say just 'Middle Class' or even 'Lower Middle' or 'Upper Lower'? Or simply... lower class? Lowerclass =/= Working Class.
2) How did she protect him from bullies? Was she attractive? Fierce? Brutal? Manipulative? Powerful?
3) Of course his studies continued? He was a kid?
4) Where'd the Optimism come from?
5) Why was he accepted to University at 15?/One from a differing clan when clans were still a little wary with eachother at this point.
6) How did somewhere on the planet avoid the CIS, when the CIS occupied the planet?
7) Did he not have access to news outlet? Other people talking? A Window? How did he not see that his planet was being occupied by a hostile force?
8) Why was he unable to speak about his sisters unfaithful boyfriend?
9) Why did he choose Colin?
10) Why did Colin choose just now to speak up against her boyfriends activities? It seems contrived.
11) I thought he had left University? I'm a little confused, I thought post CIS he went back to his family?
12) So how was he framed? How did Campus Police end up with him being turned over to the Empire?

Armania, a world torn by war through the centuries. Cut off from the rest of the Galaxy by choice thousands of years ago, the Armanian people have lived a sheltered existence. Forgetting about the Galaxy as a whole, dividing into clans fighting for domination of the planet and her resources. That all changed in the 2109th Year after the Great Divide, space travel had just begun once again with exploration of the planets in the solar system. The discovery that their moon was habitable, and the research of their own solar system. It wasn't long until what was once a long range Antenna in a museum in the capital city of Relti was reactivated upon detecting an inbound fleet.

A fleet belonging to the Separatist Alliance. With the fact that Armania was off the grid so to speak the tacitcal droid in charge of the operation was given orders to immediately occupy and go to work constructing mines on the resource rich moon and planet, without consideration for it's people. Armanians were put to work if they resisted, their infrastructure taken over and their entire planet was taken over by the Separatist Alliance. A common enemy was all the Armanians needed to unite, the clans coming together and forming the Rhiad - A council of the most influential families and individuals to rule the planet. They mounted a resistance and though the Amranian people were technologically inferior they managed to mount a reasonable defense. Many of them securing themselves in the new joint capital of Relti.

Within a year the Empire came and wiped out the Separatist Forces, the regional Moff recognising the wealth of materials on the planet moved in with the intent of 'supporting Armania and bringing it up to a Galactic Modern standard, while providing support and security to the Armanian people'. They brought in the Mining Guild to add 'Efficiency, safety and professional standards' to the mines that had unlocked precious minerals on Armania and it's moon, Meroona. They worked slow, slowly increasing their grip on the planet. Initially they only made decisions relating to their own operations, however occasionally they would make decisions that should belong to the Rhiad. Rumours began to spread of people disappearing from Armanian prisons, and word was that they were pressed into service by the Empire. Slaves.

OOC Information

Welcome to Star Wars - Liberation! This Roleplay takes place on a planet of my own creation: Armania. Armania is a planet that is inhabited by humans who moved to the planets thousands of years ago, during The Old Republic. They dismantled their vessels and turned them into their first citys, forgetting about the outside Galaxy. Over time clans formed, and they fought amongst themselves for superiority and control. Technology didn't advance, nor did the Armanian people rely on it. Droids were kept for the rich and powerful, rather than replacing the working class. Weapons ranged from old blasters to slugshooters.

The most important historical event prior to the CIS Occupation was during the Great Divide, a war where the Alaxians and Githan Clans united the other minor clans into North and South in a collosal war that spanned one hundred years. No clear winner was declared and an uneasy peace continued for many years. The CIS Occupation changed everything, and the two sides moved on to their new enemy who ravaged the planet, till the Empire came and replaced it, it's been three years of Imperial Rule.

We will be playing characters who, for some reason or another, were captured by the Empire and forced into slavery. Unsure on where they are, all they know is that they want escape.

Planetary Location

Relti

Relti is the Capital of Armania, and where the Rhiad sits. Formerly an Alaxian stronghold the city was submerged before the Great Divide in order to protect it from ground assault, only accessible through a series of tunnel systems or the air. A feat to Alaxian science and engineering the the city is the most densly populated, becoming overcrowded in the years since the CIS and Empire moved in and took over. Aliens are relagated to the outer rim of the city, being unwelcome newcomers to the planet while the more affluent members of society such as the Alaxian Family, for whom the clan is named after, hold the centre of the city. The divide between the different rings is visible from the air and from simply walking from one to another, with a major cultural divide. Most Armanians however just accept their role in the machine, while more recently 'Alien Acts of Terror' have caused Aliens to be banned from moving past the outer rim.

Though there is little evidence of these acts, all people know is that the Empire always manages to thwart their attacks and take the criminals away never to be seen again.

It resides along the equator, submerged near the great oceans.

Typho

Typho is the city to the far North, ruled by the the Githan Clan. The Githan Clan more than any other believes in pure blooded heritage and family lines. They're a religious sect that believe their current ruler was chosen by the Ashla. The city is surrounded by barren wasteland from hundreds of years of war, however inside the protection of the cities shell there are vast cathedrals built to honour the Guardians. A group of individuals who Githan culture believes were chosen by the Ashla to serve it in order to bring peace and balance, they have long believed that their belief in the Guardians will bring them back to Armania and deliver them to the promised land, and strike down all the non-believers.

Recognising their religion for what it is the Empire thoroughly searched the city for any artifacts pertaining to the Jedi and is moving loyal Imperial individuals to the city in order to try and breed out the Githan people to dilute their culture turning Typho into a boiling pot of religious beliefs.

Plains of Exidium

The Plains of Exidium cover a large majority of the Northern Hemisphere, as vast as the oceans that many worlds posess the Plains of Exidium have vast woodlands and grasslands, that host a variety of life forms. In the early days many Armanian Settlers survived solely of the Plains without needing to produce anything for themselves. There are still some clans that live in the plains, believing that those that have formed vast cities have left their heritage behind. There was no clear consensus on how many clans lived ont he plains before the Empire showed up, however they range in the hundreds. With only a dozen sitting on the Rhiad.

Wastelands

The Wastelands reside in the much warmer, southern, hemisphere. Due to the planetary rotation the southern hemisphere is much warmer year around, much warmer than the ideal northern hemisphere. The Wastelands are a region not many people travel too, despite their abundance in resources. Due to dangerous creatures that live in it's many catacombs.

Arcadia

Arcadia is known as the roving city, named after the ship it was built around. The ship was found crashed in the Wastelands, where Fiani Clansmen decided to recover and retrofit the vessel to act as a crawler. This enabled them to live in relative safety in deserts surrounding the Wastelands. It now roams continuosly mining easy to access veins of resources. Due to it's refineries and mining capabilities the Mining Guild and Empire have a heavy presence aboard the roving city, which has the Fiani uneasy as they have long been one of the most independent clans. Remaining neutral in conflict and neglecting wars, instead choosing to make profit from both sides.

Swamps of Kast

The Swamps of Kast once held a city in the trees. However since the CIS discovered a valuable grain of minerals in the region most of the settlements were destroyed, the trees cleared and a mine constructed. Many of the Ylarn clan who lived here were forced to work as labour in the mines. When the Empire came and wiped out the CIS threat, they were the most willing to work with and indeed for the Empire. Before the Empire came along the Ylarn were an insignificant Clan with little political influence.

Their number now live in the cities surrounding the mines, the only thing of interest in the once great swamps.

Meroona

Meroona is a Lava Moon, in orbit of Armania. While the atmosphere isn't terribly healthy for organic beings it certainly isn't deadly over the short term. No Armanian settlements exist on the moon, however the Imperials have a base there, and the Mining Guild have extensive operations on the surface

6. This Roleplay is going to contain some slightly more mature themes, blood, gore and swearing is allowed however should be kept tasteful (no doing it just for the sake of doing it). Anything in regards to what you are doing to that alien hooker, we don't need to know.

It is a time of conflict in the Galaxy, the Emperor is dead alongside his right hand man Darth Vader during the destruction of the Second Death Star above the forest moon of Endor during a battle that saw many of the Imperial War Machines Senior naval officers perish. As the Rebellion transitions into the New Republic all out war spreads throughout the Galaxy. A war, that is rife with opportunity.

Jabba the Hutt is dead, his sailbarge destroyed. The remaining Hutts, their numbered diminished, all vie for the scraps in order to absorb Jabbas vast criminal empire into their own. Meanwhile new players enter the field, Hutt Space is a buzz with activity as known Crime Lords rise up from the ashes of the fallen while the former Giants of the underworld try to maintain control. All the while forces of the Imperial Remnant and New Republic view the sector in chaos with greedy eyes.

In this Roleplay, Players will be playing characters confined within Hutt Space. Political shiftings in the wider Galaxy, as well as within this area of space provides a rich canvas for players to make their own stamp on Star Wars history. Shall you fight with the New Republic to liberate those that have lived under the Hutts for centuries? Or will you seek the power that the Hutts once held for yourself? It is possible for a player to play as part of one of the GM controlled factions, to form their own faction or to alternatively act as an individual just trying to make a living in a dangerous galaxy. If you make a faction, you do not need to play the leader of the faction.

GM - Controlled Factions:

These factions are controlled by myself in order to facilitate events that can help players progress and interact with one another.

Hutt Cartel

The Hutt Clan is not what it once was, after the death of Jabba the Hutt the most infamous and powerful of the Hutt Cartel there was serious disarray amongst the council that formed the leadership of the Hutt Cartel. Their number had been seriously hurt since the start of the Clone Wars, Jabbas death had been the final nail in the coffin as Hutts warred among themselves to pick up the slack. While they still control the majority of Hutt Space they no longer have full control.

More recently a Hutt by the name of Boonatta siezed control, and rather than leading as a council 'she' rules with an iron first... as Queen.

Important NPCs

These are not the only members of the Hutt Cartel, however are some of the most important.

Boonatta - Queen Hutt

Boonatta is a ruthless, cunning and dangerous Hutt. Largely in the shadows throughout the Cartels history, she never truly had a place on the council of the Hutt Clan. For whatever reason Jabba saught to have her distanced from the major affairs of the Hutt Clan, much like Grakkus. However unlike Grakkus who found himself imprisoned by the Rebel Alliance Boonatta managed to Capitalize on the death of Jabba. First to the sail barge where he died, first to find the recording of his death and subsequently destroy it.

She rose in power fast, and killed those that opposed her. Thankfully the Hutt life span is incredibly long, for her court has very few members and she keeps a close eye on any other Hutts that are not in her court.

Timana

Timana is Boonattas biggest rival, while he is physically more impressive than Boonatta he lacks the political support in order to do anything about killing her, and she is far too careful to be caught off guard. Instead he plays along while in public, and Boonatta keeps him around solely as he has contacts and information that is incredibly useful to her.

This is a relationship just waiting to come crashing to a terrible end, and when it does there will be blood.

Marlo

Marlo was one of the Hutts that sat at Jabbas table, one of the few who did so and still manages to be in the court of the new 'Queen'. Marlo doesn't typically care who is in charge, all he cares about is his own profits and lavish lifestyle. Things are good, as he's still the biggest slave trader within Hutt Space.

Task Force Rancor

Task Force Rancor was assigned by the New Republic Senate to investigate and, if deemed appropriate, intervene in the events of Hutt Space. As the New Republic discovers that all out war is the result of the death of the Emperor they are finding that now more than ever they need supplies, credits and soldiers who know how to fight and are not just farm boys who are thrust into conflict. Hutt Space provides a wealth of all these things, and as such the Task Force has deployed agents all throughout the sector to try and gauge support for the New Republic.

While initially they were met largely with hostility, as things change within the space more and more individuals are entertaining the idea of being free. It is still unknown whether the senate will approve military action or try a more peaceful diplomatic method, all that is known is that sooner or later the Imperials are going to try the same thing.

Important NPCs

I will be responsible for any information from the higher echelons of command not within Task Force Rancor.

Admiral Romi Hansumi

Admiral Romi Hansumi has been with the Rebellion since it's inception, New Republic records don't shed much on his history though everyone that works for him knows that before he was a Rebel he was a pirate that targetted Imperial Shipments. While it is nothing new that an Officer in the 'Rebel Navy', now the New Republic Starfleet, used to be a pirate it's one of those facts that they aren't entirely comfortable with the ignorant masses knowing.

With his familiarity of Hutt Space, and with the results he offered during the Rebellion when the New Republic comissioned a Task Force outside of Hutt Space he was the obvious choice. He commands the task force from the MC80 Liberator.

Colonel Lance Thereon

Colonel Thereon is the officer in charge of the Pathfinder contingent placed within Task Force Rancor, while there are many other ground elements present in the fleet the only group currently active within Hutt Space are the Pathfinders, with their ability to look like just any other mercenary. Word in the fleet is that he grew up in Hutt Space and has been fighting all his life.

Colonel Wilma Imari

Wilma Imari is the black sheep in the command structure of Task Force Rancor. Former Imperial, turned Rebel Informant turned New Republic Intelligence Operative. She's in charge of the spies, the informants and the general nasty business that no-one else wants to touch. Her methods, sometimes questioned due to her past. It can't be doubted however that she gets the job done.

The Believers

The believers are a radical, revolutionary movement in Hutt space. Growing slowly in the past ten years, it is most famed for the Xolu revolt however until the death of Jabba the Hutt was confirmed that broadcasts from their leader Cipher increased throughout Hutt Space and more and more members began to revolt against their previous lords and masters. Many of these revolts are quickly quashed with extreme force, however for every ten revolutionaries killed one more seems to slip away.

Cipher

The leader of the Believers is a figure known only as “Cipher”. He is an enigmatic individual who, much like the organization he represents, operates primarily from the shadows. His ever-increasing bounty postings describe him as a red-skinned Twi’lek of average height and average build, possibly in his mid-to-late thirties. However, his identity has never been independently confirmed.

According to Beliefers sources, Ci[her was a former slave who orchestrated a slave revolt on the planet Xolu ten years prior: an event which, at the very least, can be confirmed to have actually happened. They describe him as a brilliant tactician and a compassionate leader. He is charismatic, and is known to broadcast passionate speeches, with his voice masked, on hijacked holonet transmissions. Whether any of the information on Cipher is accurate, or if he is even an individual who exists at all, remains to be seen, but the influence that the figure has had on the region is undeniable

Yes, however there needs to be detailed explanation to how they discovered this affinity for the force and how any training was achieved.

Can I join a player faction?

That is up to the player who made the faction.

Can I join a GM Faction?

Yes, it is encouraged. I view them as less GM Factions as GM controlled. My control over them is how I control he world that we're in and ensure that everyone has something to get them going.

Where does my character start?

That is entirely up to you, I know that some players will have an idea straight from the get go of what they want to do. Do not fear, I'm going to be giving everyone something to get the ball rolling. I'd advise a major centre of activity such as Nal Hutta, Nar Shadda, Ilos Minor or Sleyhorn.

So to anyone interested, I'm going to try something different as a GM in this game. I am not making a Protagonist, I will assist with NPCs where necessary however I'm taking a step back, to make sure that this game is driven by your actions and not mine.

Falling Skies: Wavering Valor (Mecha, Space Opera)

Review aa requested. I just read the sheet got no contextual understanding of the rp. Anyone reading this and getting scared, I'm bit affiliated with the rp just got asked to do this.

1) Why is he such an idealist?
2) Parts of your psych profile don't make sense. Go over it again.
3) If his parents area as idealistic, how has his family retained status among the corrupt. They're a weak link and aren't going to play the same political games as everyone else.
5) so was he put in with just the run of the mill cadets?
6) How did he discover this differences? What was the result?
7) So these cadets were from high ranking families, as they were already corrupt? There were no people there to just try for a better life?
8) Had he never come in contact with any other high ranking/status officials before? If so how did he not notice the corruption?
9) Bleeding Heart implies that he's not going against people but instead caring too much. Also I assume by title you mean what other people think of him and not a callsign? Callsigns are typically simple things that roll off the tounge. 'Skyguy' 'Farm boy' 'Starbuck' 'Apollo''Buckshot'
10) Why would a lesser person lose faith or go into denial? Why didn't he? He loves the empire and people, how can he justify this?
11) In the military you can't just speak out against superiors.
12) if he's really speaking out against the empire they can just get rid of him, if his family is as goody two shoes as you say I can't imagine they're gonna do much in terms of manipulation to stop it or get him back. Not to mention he's a combat pilot, not terribly hard to get rid off. Did anyone say suicide mission?
13) Why would he challenge them to a duel? Why would they accept?
14) How did that gain him authority?
15) Why did the superiors he challenged to duels, and beat not dispose of him?
16) Wouldn't he try to avoid being too outspoken? As I said above, he'd be easy enough to get rid off.

Koren sat in the central chair aboard the bridge. A station he rarely used, as he was often either in his study or on the move somewhere doing other important business. The fact he was in this chair, was a sign in itself. The door hissed open, he didn't even bother to turn to see who it was. Only certain people were allowed to enter this room, so he wasn't surprised when he heard her voice. "Father, why did I get a communication between you and a slaver." She virtually spat the word, and for good reason. He never understood peoples fascination with slaves, when droids could do the jobs better and with less risk. Sure some people liked having slaves for things that droids couldn't do, without some seriously messed up modifications, however when you lived in Hutt Space there was always someone working for credits.

Loretta, who had more of a moral compass than he did was even more anti-slavery than he was. "Honey, you know. Business is business, I don't like them anymore than you do."

"You literally have an army of droids at your disposal, why do you need slaves?" Koren stood and turned to face her.

"Who said I was buying slaves? Who said I was selling? Sometimes a slaver has something I need, that's all. I can't get that without contacting them, it's a necessary evil."

She crosser her arms across her chest. "Okay then, what is it you need from them?" If a T-Series droid could roll it's eyes, Koren knew that Thinker would have done so. After all Thinker was cold, calculating, and didn't do any of this emotional stuff.

"Loretta. How did I hire Tara?"

"You bought and free'd her."

"How about Rea?"

"You bought her, and then free'd her." Koren raised his hands as he leaned back, to indicate she was just proving his point.

"I understand I can't buy and free every slave under the sun, but when I hear about a particular case... Say of an entire clan being captured and forced into slavery. Well. I have to step in, after all I'm a power hungry megolaniac I'm not evil." She leaned in and hugged him.

"Oh, I'm sorry for misjudging you Dad."
