So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

It's very likely. I chose Eddie Brock, Jr. as my username because the trailer had just come out and I had recently read the Ultimate Spider-Man trades. (Thus, when the movie was a trainwreck -- which I didn't acknowledge for a while -- I insisted that the latter was my inspiration all along.) And then somewhere along the way, that "Jr." started to bug me, so I got the SHH! mods to get rid of it because the original "Eddie Brock" account had been inactive for years.

While I was never part of SHH I do remember people referring to you as EBJ. Good times.

Is it a hot take if it's a fact?

Hot take: Water freezes at zero degrees Celsius. Or is that a cold take?

Byrd. Asking the hard hitting questions.

2) HOT TAKE ALERT: Venom is a shit character in general and my least favorite major Spider-Man villain. He was mildly interesting in his debut arc, and outside of that has been nothing but garbage outside of Agent Venom

I agree with this sentiment. I feel like Venom is overhyped to shit. Agent Venom is interesting.
Can anyone understand a word Venom says?

I didn't understand the one where he licks the guy, but in the comments someone put it was like "Eyes, lungs, pancreas. So many snacks, so little time."

The next Dark Knight. The Citizen Kane of superhero movies.

It’s going to be a masterpiece.

It's good to know where you stand.
Sidenote:

Of course, this also means that Sony's Marvel universe will be missing a key character. While Sony still has the rights to Spider-Man and all the characters associated with him, it appears the plan is to build a universe with those characters, but without the wall-crawler himself.

So it seems like the Sonyverse is going to do SPidey things without Spidey? Which makes little sense to me unless they're going to go Venom Anti-hero route and build it around him?

I'll probably wait until it's out on DVD to watch it. Honestly the only thing that's really turning me off about it is Tom Hardy's accent, overall it looks like it'll be pretty alright.

The accent doesn't bother me, I just hope that at some point in the movie it doesn't look like he's in withdrawal as he hasn't had enough crack.

In the debate of DC/Marvel, we all know they have their good and bad. DC currently rule comics and animated movies while Marvel have the stronger cinematic universe.

Marvel can also do games, true all these games are always Spider-man games, but damn I wish they weren't a playstation exclusive. This is one game I'll watch the cutescene movie. I love that they're going with Mr.Negative.
It doesn't have Topher Grace. That's good enough for me.

I'm not sure if I'll catch it in the cinema.

Though it's a lot harder for me to see it in cinema now cause my local cinema has closed.
So I heard I was being waited on, so there's a post.

So. How do people feel about this. Okay I get that you can do the whole Planet Symbiote style symbiote rather than the Doc Ock variant. Though I still don't like the idea of a Venom movie without Spidey. Is it in the MCU though? The "There's enough Superheroes" line throws me a little bit. It also looks really dark to be in the MCU.

I like the idea of the Venom/Eddie Brock relationship.

Revelations:
NOT FAST ENOUGH

Iris continued to run around as Superman flew straight through the vortex, fighting through the winds. Again she had to take a minute to... appreciate the physique that he held. There was something amazing about him, though she brushed past those thoughts. That wasn't the kind of person she was. Pushing on as the Surfer let loose a bolt of cosmic energy to contain it, she was pushed back and off course, the vortex lasted for a couple of seconds after she stopped sustaining it but then collapsed into nothing. The only tell tale sign that it had ever existed was the circle with where she had been running and the dust that still refused to settle.

Turning around she saw the board drifting lazily away from the surfer, running towards Superman currently grappling with the surfer.

"Just 'cause you've got the power," He spoke through gritted teeth, his body visibly shaking from the strain of the surfer's own strength and the searing pain of his counterattack. "Doesn't mean you've got the right."

Running at him with speed she twisted into a right hook on the side of the Surfers head, knocking him further into Supermans embrace. Had she not been as fast as she was she wouldn't have noticed that for just a split second where her fist came into contact seemed to lose it's chromed look. She didn't have long to think about it though as she chased after the board. There were two parts to this fight after all.
