Thor has been around far longer than many in the Galaxy, a member of the race known as the Asgardians he lives on the mythical realm of Asgard, a flat mass that floats among the stars. Defying physics as most know it. Asgard is one of eight realms within a separate dimension from the normal space-time of the universe. Alfheim, Helheim, Jotunheim, Muspelheim, Nidavellir, Svartalfheim, Vanaheim. All these worlds are connected by Yggdrasil, the world tree that also binds them to the ninth realm, Midgard. Midgard is known as 'Earth' to the locals, and unbeknownst to them is surrounded by these eight other realms.

Many years ago Midgard was a battleground as invading forces tried to seize control of the World Tree. In the end it was Odin and his army of Asgardians who brought peace to the nine realms, Asgard placing itself in charge of the nine realms and all the worlds within it. Causing peace for centuries, they have a truce with the other eight realms that peace will remain so long as no-one travels to the realm of Midgard.

Thor remembers those days fondly, battling with Jotuns on Midgard with the mortals at his side. In the days before he was worthy of the mighty hammer Mjolnir the war-axe of Jarnbjorn carved its way through many a Jotun. As peace was finally restored, and the treaty brokered Thor left the axe behind on Midgard as a testament to what was, and a promise that despite the treaty should the people of Midgard ever be in peril that he would return. In more recent days he has spent his time patrolling the eight other realms within the purview of the Asgard, though as his most trusted friend Heimdall tells him of the chaos that takes place on Midgard he longs to return to the place of battles past.

As his elder brother, Loki prepares to protect Asgard with Odin readying to enter the Odin sleep Thor senses a sinister plot that would destroy Asgard and all her people. As unrest spreads throughout the nine realms he must discover the root of this plot and destroy it, lest it brings about Ragnarok and the end of time.

I've always been a fan of the idea of various mythologies and their presence in the comic book world, especially when it involves bringing in Gods. Thor is such a strong character but there's a real weight to him, especially as he grows and evolves. Despite his age this Thor (like we first see him in the MCU) is still a man coming into his own, which is where he is in development in regards to his respective age anyway. Thor is arrogant, but he cares and its a very interesting dynamic to play where he is aloof and likes to be high and mighty and yet he wants to make sure everyone is okay.

My intentions are for Thor to grow as a character, that could maybe one day be King of Asgard, and hero to the people of Midgard and all the nine realms as he isn't quite there yet. I want to show him grow, where he comes to realize that there are more ways to solve a problem than merely punching, kicking and hitting things with a hammer. This is a Thor that is worthy, but as of yet he doesn't know the right reasons why.

How the Nine Realms work: The Nine Realms are extra-dimensional to Earth, systems that exist with Earth as a Central point. There are other planets/worlds within these realms, though they are smaller than the Galaxy at home. While the Bifrost is the may way connecting these realms, there are other more dangerous paths.

Plot Arcs

Coming Storm - The Dwarves of Nidavellir send out a distress call as an unknown object from the depths of their realm heading towards their world. They have called for help, the Prince of Thunder is only too happy to oblige.
Fall of Asgard - As Odin enters the Odinsleep Thor must travel to Midgard.

NPCs

Heimdall - Heimdall is charged with control of the Bifrost, and can see all which transpires through the nine realms. Thors most trusted ally.
Warriors Three - Hogun the Grim, Fandral the Dashing and Volstagg the Lion of Asgard. A group of noble warriors gathered by Thor to fight for the safety of the nine realms.
Lady Sif - Lady Sif was nought but a maiden, until she grew the attention of Thor. Wishing to be a warrior the Prince gave her a chance when no-one else would, he has often suspected that there is some form of bond between them.
Loki Laufeyson - Eldest son of Odin, adopted by Odin from the battlefield of Jotunheim. He brokers the peace between Asgard and Jotunheim, trusted advisor to Odin, future King and Thors inspirational older brother.
Amora the Enchantress - Former love of Thors. A most powerful enchantress.
Odin - The Allfather. King of Asgard, protector of the nine realms.
Frejya - Thors mother, god from Vanaheim who married Odin as a union was made between Asgard and Vanaheim. While their marriage was officially to unite the two realms, they are truly in love.

"Brother, heed mine council. Do not linger on thoughts of Midgard, nor on the mortals who reside there. We will be most diligent in our duty to protect Asgard and the other seven realms." Thor had to use all self-control to prevent himself from rolling his eyes at his older brother. Loki may have been next in line to be king, and have the ear and trust of Odin however he did not understand. The world of Midgard was at the centre of the nine realms, should it fall then the entire tree of life was at risk. Ragnarok would truly be upon them, and yet as it tore itself apart no-one on Asgard made moves to protect it.

"Nay Brother. I swore an oath to protect all of the nine realms, I shalt not shirk from mine responsibility." Thor turned, his cape billowing behind him as he left the gold gilded hall. The weight of Mjolnir at his hip, he could swear the weapon seemed heavier than it had been previously. He told himself it was the inaction, the peace was brought about by war thousands of years ago. The only authority the Jotuns of Jotunheim,the demons of Muspelheim and dark elves off Svartalfheim understood was the authority of power. He would be the one to show them that power if no-one else would.

Pushing open the large doors to the throne room, Odin and Frejya looked up in surprise as Thor stormed his way into the room. "Father! I would have words with thee!"

Frejya approached him, as if moving to speak however his father slammed the base of his staff down on the ground and she stopped. "Thor, what business dost thou have to barge in here?" His voice boomed, as if rattling around the inside of his skull.

Thor approached the throne, kneeling down on the ground at the base of the stairs to the throne. "Father, I beseech thee. Allow me to travel to Midgard, the influences of evil art upon it. Should Midgard fall, the other eight realms will be in peril." He kept his head lowered as a sign of respect to the old fool.

"Do thee forget your place son of mine? Midgard is off no importance, let the mortals fight among themselves. Thy place is here in Asgard. Focus not on Midgard, but of the other seven realms that need thy protection. Thy brother shall ensure nay lasting harm comes to Midgard." Odin stood and walked down the steps to his younger son, each step seemed to reverberate around the hall. "Thou are impatient, doth not forget thy station. Thou shalt go where instructed, and act out the will of the Throne, not fulfill any personal bloodlust or quest for glory.

Thor stood. "Father..."

"Nay!, Bid me Thor, how does Mjolnir feel against thy hip? I bethink thee may not be as worthy as thee once were. Remember what I did teach thee mine own son, lest thee lose thy way. Anon wend, Heimdall hast a job for thee. Thor stood, his fists clenched as his father turned and walked back up the stairs to his throne. Without so much as looking at his son. Thor stood up and turned, leaving the hall. As he did so he caught a glimmer of green in the corner, which vanished as soon as he looked towards it.

Loki came towards him as he saw him. "Brother..."

Thor just held up his hand as he stormed past. He was in no mood for Lokis twisted words with their many meanings. No, now he was in the mood for action.

There is one important difference I need to point out, just in case you haven’t noticed it yet. Iris West was the one hit by lightning, not Barry Allen. On that fateful night where Barry Allen was meant to get struck by lightning he wasn’t present, instead Iris West was in his lab that night, aiming to surprise him with what would have been their first date. The lightning struck as intended, the chemicals spilled forth on the occupant of the lab turning them into the avatar of the Speed Force.

History Changed, the future changed. There would be a new speedster. Iris hasn’t been the Flash for long, in fact it has been so-not-long that she doesn’t even have a widely acknowledged Superhero alias. This is largely in part due to her not sticking around, one minute someone is standing staring down the barrel of the gun and the next thing the mugger is in the back of a police cruiser. Barry, as her resident science man who made her suit, built her earpieces and practically did everything to make her a hero has taken to calling her the Flash after the fabled propaganda piece hero from the Second World War.

Meanwhile, she tries to keep this life secret from her father who wouldn’t even allow her to join the CCPD fearing that it was too dangerous. Juggling a double life is hard, and with news of the criminal element off Central City changing with the times. Will she be ready for the test?

Iris Flash is honestly one of the favourite characters I ever had the pleasure of writing. Her entire creation was because I was making a character for UoU, wanted to make the Flash and @Lord Wraith made a joke about making the Flash female. Iris is quite different from Barry. She doesn’t have the death of a loved one motivating her, unlike Barry, nor the loom over her head that she remembers a flash of lightning killing her mother, unlike Barry. While she now believes Barrys story it motivates her in a different way, Barry pushes her to be faster, stronger, in the hope that she will help find out what happened to his mother the night she was killed.

My goal for Iris is to re-write the Reverse Flash storyline, which was her opening season in UoU as in parts I feel like it was rushed and there was a lot of stuff I would do a lot better. She’ll grow as a hero, and as a person as she comes into her own as a hero to finally realise who she is.

NPCs

William West - Her father, and rolemodel. William is a police officer in CCPD, and was formerly in the Army until his wife passed away from a drug overdose.

Barry Allen - Barry has been in her life forever, and sometimes she thinks there is a spark there. He's been through some hard times, and so has she and they've always been there for eachother. Most recently they both got his dad released from prison. He's a CSI with CCPD, the best they have (Despite always being late). While Iris has the help of Harrison Wells she relies on Barry for his scientific and investigatory knowhow, somehow he has a unique approach and understanding to her speed that she really needs.

Henry Allen - Henry Allen is Barry Allens dad. For most of his life he was imprisoned for killing his wife, Nora Allen. Recently Barry uncovered evidence that Henry was innocent and subsequently Henry Allen was freed and cleared of all charges. He's been living with Barry until he can get his life back on track.

Harrison Wells - Harrison Wells was the first to learn about Iris' identity as the Flash. Known as the 'smartest man in central city' Iris' father brought him in to help her when she was hit by lightning. With Barry Allen they are working to understand and hone her powers.

Rogues so far:

Weather Wizard: Weather Wizard was the first foe she faced, Mark Handon. He used a piece of technology in order to rob banks and other establishments. Currently residing in Iron Heights penitentiary.

Trickster: The Trickster is actually the second iteration, and despite foiling his plans at destorying much of the city in what would be a 'trick' Iris has been unable to catch the Trickster and put him away for good.

Heatwave: Pyromaniac, currently behind bars for burning down a bar after a bar fight.

Iris stood at the edge of the building in her suit. She felt silly, to put it simply. Her hood was currently down, the red and yellow a stark contrast to the rest of the city. If anyone had seen her they probably would have thought she was some form of Iron Man fangirl with a lightning fetish. She turned to face Barry who stood with a tablet in his hand, he was going over all kinds of data that her suit was giving him. Behind him loomed the elusive Harrison Wells, the scientist from Star Labs that had saved her when she had been hit by lightning. ”So, is it ready yet?”

Barry went to speak but Harrison cut him off. ”Not quite yet. You realise this is a brand new suit? It will take time to get it right, there’s a lot of sensors and stuff built in so we can keep an eye on you while you’re running.”

”It’ll just be a second Iris.” Iris flashed a smile at her friend, was he blushing? She shook her head as she looked out at the city. Sirens sounded in the distance, the wind pushed her gently as the sound of the city echoed below her. Suddenly there was an explosion in the distance, she turned back to Barry and Harrison who just looked at each other. ”Go.”

Without so much of a second thought she pulled her cowl up over her head, the visor covering her eyes, the material distorting her eyes so that it would make it hard to recognise her from her eyes and nose. She ran towards the edge of the building, her heart lurching as she started to run down the building. Each footfall barely lasted milliseconds before it lifted again. Reaching the bottom of the building she jumped and carried her momentum as she ran down the road. Between cars she dodged and she weaved, wind pounding against her skin and yet she barely felt it. She powered down the street, pushing on as she heard Barry speak through her headset. Cursing herself for losing focus again she focused on the voice, centring herself. Slowing herself down, she tapped the earpiece.

”Sorry, what was that?”

”I said. You went straight past it, go back two blocks and take a left.” Iris silently cursed at herself, sometimes the speed was too much, she just lost herself into it. It was hard to have her mind focused on the perceptions of how fast she was moving, but also try to listen to someone that was speaking painfully slow, at least from her perspective. Turning around just as people started to try and take photos of her she was gone in a flash as she headed off in the right direction. Turning down the correct street, as fire engulfed a significant portion of the street, and in the middle of the street stood a man in a white suit. Large backpack and a flamethrower in his hands.

As soon as he saw her he pointed the weapon in her direction and let loose a blast of flame, before she had so much as a second to try and quip. Turning her body to the left the flame went past her harmlessly, though she could feel the heat. ”I thought you were in prison.”

The man laughed as he pulled something from his belt with his left hand, clicking it. ”Ain’t no prison that can hold HEATWAVE!” He tossed the device towards a crowd of people, and time slowed down.

Star Wars - Galaxies at War[MULTIVERSE SPACESHIP RP]

Sheppard was kept very busy. He never even bothered to raise his P90 as they continued pushing through the bridge, always with the dart gun shooting his little transponder darts. Knocking two off here, and then again there. He got the ones that were enveloped in blue energy, and the ones enveloped in green energy. Each time the dart struck true there was a white shimmering as the figure disappeared. Which was when things started to get a bit more difficult. Elsewhere in the ship the command was given, bays open and fighters lurched forth. The bridge shook as it was strafed by its own fighters, attempting to dissuade the boarders, or destroy them, before they had the opportunity to delve deeper into the ship than they had already gotten.

Sheppard tapped his earpiece. "Daedalus! We need 302 support, they're trying to blow up the bridge with us on it."

"Copy that Sheppard, we see them. We're on our way." Sheppard grimaced, this was all taking time. Time they didn't have. "Once you've launched 302s, advise you get int ouch with the Glasgow to beam civilians up from the surface onto the vessel. Move them to the nearest habitable planet."

Part of me really wants too, but I heard other people were applying as Flash so I didn't wanna mess with them.
