I'll do the gym battle soon as Abysmal is free. He seems quite busy.

Worst case, @AbysmalDemon you should probably figure out someone else to do gym battles for Rylen in case you can't make it for a substantial amount of time. Just designate someone in case of emergency that I can turn to.

Dawn broke over Dune City, there were officials and authorities at the Pokemon Center, based on what they were talking about, it seems they were looking to rebuilding it immediately, as it was a very prime facility in any city. As Rylen walked by he could hear some of them talking, he'd woken early and decided to go off to the gym on his own ahead of everyone else, he wanted time alone to focus, not in preparation for the gym, but he had a feeling the events of last night were just the beginning, so he wanted to become stronger to prevent these kinds of things from happening,

"Looks like construction will take around two days if we do work at night too, but three days and it'll be up again like new. Although we'll have to do construction work tomorrow, as some of our workers in Estoria are still fixing up the Pokemon Lab there",

"I see... I guess it's fortunate for us the healing machine is still working, so we can still offer those services, although right now it's in the police station",

"The healing machine's fine?"

"Yeah, the police had told me some kid fixed it up and handed it into the station. Now everyone who needs it is being directed there. The nurse is there too",

"Well that is a stroke of luck... Well anyways...",
Rylen decided to continue moving along after this.
Rylen would be pretty gung ho.

@AbysmalDemon should we open the titanpad for Rylen's first? Then you or me can take care of everyone else afterwards.
So that's... Five people?
By the way, who was challenging the gyms again? I want to make sure everyone's counted for, so we know how the assignments for the titanpad is going to go.
Nah not really, I'm pretty sure once you hand that machine in, people in the town would be grateful.
I guess we'll move onto the next day soon as @AbysmalDemon has sorted out gym battles. How was that going to go?
I think different regions means different levels of tech, so we can handwave this event I think.

But I don't think we should be hauling around healing machines like it was everyday hardware again, because it isn't. It's specialized equipment, so before doing something like this @Tangletail, you should probably check in with Abysmal... Or the Co-GMs once he's assigned them.

Oh that said @AbysmalDemon, mess around with the "Edit Topic" option at the top of the page. I suggest figuring that out as GM.
Oh yeah. I think they have that kind of thing going down in the anime for a couple gyms where you see people get destroyed before Ash rocks up.

Still, I believe we're going for the sensibilities of real life coupled with Pokémon's laws. Like I'm pretty sure it would be sensible for officially sanctioned gyms to have a healing machine for instance.
It's assumed that some trainers you meet along the road even in the games have earned as many badges as you have at that point in the game. The dialogue of some trainers in some games suggests this as some actually admit to having a few badges.

For convenience, they really don't have a lot of challengers, that's because each time they focus on the main character. In the Pokémon Origins anime, it focuses on Red. In the regular anime, it focuses on Ash. In the games, it focuses on you. Of course you wouldn't see other challengers.

But based on what I saw in the Origins anime it looks like they would have some kind of healing machine set up somewhere in the back. It's very structured from what I saw.
