Evolved through regular training. Their evolution level will usually be about 20 levels above their first evolution's, that's 10 Battle Experience.

Blaine A. Diamond

Nationality: Born in the Hoenn Reign in Slateport City.

Personality: Blaine is a friendly person and rather talkative. His Pokémon mean everything to him, he finds dark and dragon types fascinating. They are his preferred Pokémon types, he likes all kinds of Pokémon but those two are his favorite kinds. Blaine likes to make jokes most of the time except in major Pokémon battles, he takes gym battles and most other battle seriously. While he has fun with Pokémon battles he does his best not to lose and try to avoid injuring his Pokémon. He thinks each one of his moves out.

Blaine enjoys being around Pokémon and other trainers. The more Pokémon around the better for him. Blaine will often call out his Pokémon and just walk with them especially with his first Pokémon. Blaine will often talk to his Pokémon and other Pokémon as if they can talk back the same way he talks to them.

Biography: Blaine's history is a little bland. except when he started late as a trainer fifteen almost sixteen years old, he was to get his first Pokémon. He woke up three hours before he was supposed to head out to get his first Pokémon. On his way to the Professors lab, Blaine took a shortcut looking to cross a river, by jumping across rocks he fell in the current nearly washed him away. He was saved by an Absol. Being yanked from the water and saved from possibly drowning or being washed completely away. The wild Pokémon and Blaine got along so much that they traveled together to professor's lab. Blaine was able to convince him to have Absol as his starting Pokémon.
Blaine sailed off to Chromis to take part in the Pokémon league. Before he sailed out he was given a Pokémon egg. As he was sailing it hatch, and his second Pokemon Deino was born. Blaine looks to start his adventure one way or another.

You can only start with one Pokemon though. I probably should've been clearer. You can only start with one of two types.

Otherwise the rest of your character looks fine. You'll have to choose who to bring with you for the start of your journey. Seeing as your Deino is a Baby Pokemon and freshly hatched, there is a Daycare in almost every city, you can pick the Deino egg from any of them if you'd like.

It usually requires something like helping them out or something, but just any good reason like if you knew the Daycare couple at that particular place, they could just let you have one as a present to celebrate you going on your journey.

I'd like to take this chance to mention the 3rd point in the "Training Your Pokemon" section of the Mechanics page. It's a very watered down version of EV training from the games, basically. You can have a think about that too for the growth of your Pokemon.

How does one go about the process of creating a custom mega evolution?

Send me a picture and what ability you think they should/might have, as well as typing, and we'll discuss. I need to regulate it.

Plus I also need to add them to the list. There can only be one Mega version of each Pokemon, so once it's submitted, no new one can be submitted.

EDIT: System apparently disallows more than two Co-GMs. I will make a list on people who have the authority of one at the top of the OOC post.

Description: Brett is a former criminal, imprisoned for mostly assault and excessive force. Many in Shakudo know him since he defended people, although he usually went a bit too far. When gym leaders were being chosen for Shakudo, he succeeded, and is now on probation while he organizes his underground fight club. He is allowed to continue these operations nearly publically in exchange that he help whenever criminals need to be caught, which he does gladly.
Strategy: Brute force combined with dirty tricks. Make use of everything possible.

Name: Kurogane and Musashi
Description: Two brothers, Kurogane and Musashi. Kurogane is a blacksmith, taking after his father, while Musashi left while he was younger to seek his fortune in foreign regions, he returned enlightened and has opened his own dojo alongside his brother’s blacksmith. It was only a year after that that they were chosen to be gym leaders, which they graciously accepted. Their family originally came from a far eastern region, and they carried their traditions with them.
Strategy: A well-tempered blade cannot be rivalled alone. A well-tempered blade without a skilled wielder is useless.

Name: Kouichiro
Description: Despite looking so young, is the master of the temple and the gym leader. The former master has taken to a journey to foreign lands and left the gym in his care. Kouichiro is a devout to this temple and it’s teachings, and believes in mastering the mind over the body as the first step, as a strong mind will support the body as it too will grow strong. The mind is also more flexible on the spot, it can be immediately sharpened into a blade, or become an impassable wall. His battling style encompasses this.
Strategy: The mind is your greatest ally, and your greatest weapon.

Description: A studious researcher of Bug Pokemon, ever since he was a child he’s had a fascination for bugs, and large beetles were his favorite, so it’s no wonder Heracross is his favorite Pokemon. He’s usually a bit of a pushover, but in battle his skill is remarkable.
Strategy: Everything has a pattern and trait, identifying it is the key to victory.

Description: A native of the region before proper civilization, she brings with her ancient understanding of Arsenic Forest, and along with it, the many poisons the natives of the time had used for many ends. Naturally they are also able to make almost any anti-venom from the same materials. Kamala believes in outlasting others, but has a more aggressive take on it, where a faster acting poison is what she aims to make.
Strategy: Any venom has an antivenom, but the question is… How quickly does that venom act?

Description: The resident Pokemon Professor of the Chromis Region. Her research is unique as it studies how and why Chromis is able to be so diverse and able to house so many different species of Pokemon.

Usually against violence but understands that Pokemon battle is a way for trainers and Pokemon to display their skills and understanding of one another. "Welcome to the world of Pokemon, I am Professor Grevillia, though most know me here in Chromis as the Pokemon Professor. Pokemon are wonderful companions and friends who help us in everyday life, as well as fight alongside us as friends. However like humans they are much more complex creatures, and each one is different to the other, like how no two people are the same. As such my studies into Pokemon have always been interesting, as I learn that Pokemon grow differently depending on who raises them, and how they are raised by that person.

Regarding Mega Evolutions

If there is a new Mega Evolution you want to bring in, it must first come to me, and we will talk about the details surrounding it, such as Ability and so on. They are allowed to gain new abilities, but this will be rare, as there are so many good abilities in the game already. If said Mega Evolution is already added to the RP, then you must use that version, or not at all. X and Y Charizard and Mewtwo were a very unique case, so having more than one Mega Evolution for a Pokemon is not acceptable here.

Regarding the character sheet, by "nationality" do you specifically refer to general regions (Kanto, Johto, etc) or cities within Chromis?

Yep, by region. Cities within Chromis would then just be "Home City". Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, they're all different nations technically.
