Pokemon Chrome [Interest Check]

Very much interested in this rp. Are Pokemon gonna be specifically limited to certain areas? If so, are there any plans how specific that will be or how you plan to do it?

Mostly it'll come down to common sense, for instance you're not gonna find a Charmander along the sea routes.

I do suggest consulting me on this matter though.

Also I'm thinking of opening up a Discord chat for everyone participating, since that shit is less cumbersome than Skype.

As the number of players increase, I may need to assign more Co-GMs, that being said, some can disappear.

I want to put it out there, this is an RP designed for a lot of Co-GMs, a lot of them, because there will be many separate adventures, which will require many people to act as their environment.

I can be a contest GM, as I always did like them anyway, at least in the anime. I guess the games were alright when it came to contests though, and if anyone else would rather be it, I'm alright with that as well.

I think I'll take this chance to describe how Pokemon contests work.

Pokemon contests in this RP are basically a creative and descriptive writing exam. The more flowery language to viscerally or beautifully describe your Pokemon's combination of moves, as well as how creatively you melded the moves together. There needs to be a perfect balance of substance and decoration, if you fluff it up too much, or repeat things in slightly different ways, it can get docked for instance.

That's what Pokemon Contests are in this RP.

That being said, a Pokemon Contest Pokemon may not necessarily have ideal moves for combat, some moves that can be melded together beautifully, may not be the best when used in a battle, but normally they'll be quite skilled at combining moves to make up for that.

For safety, everything requires at least two GMs, in case one needs to cover for the other.

Meaning I need one more GM for Contests.

In general as main GM I am able to cover for all of them, but having to not need to so often means I can take care of the administration stuff like editing posts and controlling certain characters.

Furthermore, while you are assignment a specific GM role, you are able to do the following.

• Updating for player's adventures. If a GM goes missing and a player is waiting, you automatically get creative liberty to whatever was happening and can take over. Communicating with the player in case there were plans is also a good idea.
• Playing for Gym Battles. What team the gym leader uses will be your discretion, however I will add a few rules to adhere by when choosing the teams.
• Creating NPC trainers or even recurring characters for the players to deal with/meet/battle in their adventures.
• Throwing a completely random Pokemon encounter at a player once in awhile. While players CAN encounter whatever they wish, you are allowed to throw a completely random encounter their way at an unexpected time.

Man I have a lot to write into the OOC post huh...? Anyways, that's what I've established so far. Just one more Contest GM though and I don't have to worry about GM assignments for now.

I'll get to writing the OOC up later today. Hopefully I can properly organize and finish it today though.

"Yeah I've been wondering... Is it talking? Was it talking...?", he inquired, bending forward a bit as if to inspect the ferret, hand on his chin.

"So... Are you actually talking...?", he was certain he heard it in his head, but not that he was more awake he was more aware that it wasn't just a random thought. As the sandwiches were being prepared he was staring down the ferret, Cian in her timidness seemed to be led on by it's demands, but Jack wasn't going to let it lead them on freely. Maybe they could be friends, or maybe it was just an annoyance, either way... Did this thing even have an owner?

He looked to the bespectacled operative. Though terribly mannered, was one of the more sensible characters here. He asked him to deliberate his plan, Reaper didn't seem to have qualms with letting him lead for the moment.

"Very well", he shifted around a bit to change his stance. He had a few plans in mind, explosives to blow out the rail up ahead, a stealth operation, it all came down to who went with who. Before being placed in this ragtag team, everyone should have received some dossier on their abilities. He certainly took the time to read them.

"Based on the abilities of everyone present, I suggest these for the teams. Team A assigned to train R will consist of... Heliox, Theodore, and Medix. Team B assigned to train B will consist of me, Mortem, and Scorn", he started.

"Team A will make use of their direct combat skills, and make it a living hell for our guests to even set foot on the train. I would suggest waiting until you figure out which carriage has our cargo before letting loose. Once secured, separate the cart from the train for our transports to pick up as well as extraction", a sound plan. Theodore's poison abilities and Medix' were more deadly in a smaller area, and a train was certainly just that.

"Team B however, will make use of stealth. Scorn will move to scout the enemy locations, while Mortem will find the controls to the train as well as the cargo, once identified, he will detach the compartment containing the cargo for transports to pick up. I will keep the rooftops covered and keep an eye out for any unusual movements. With luck, they won't even have a chance to fight back and we can be out before anyone knows we were there", he finished. Three stealth operatives meant a quiet operation, something he was very familiar with. It was the SAS' MO after all. Precision and silence.

I was thinking of making that type of character as my PC, since Rylen is already the region's champion.

If you want to do it then I can let you, that being said, it's not like there's only one player, so you can be that asshole-foil to someone in particular if you so choose.

Acknowledged :) I'm going to edit him up a bit once I get the chance. The sniper portion of him was more of a rough draft that I totally forgot to change, but I'll also be changing his Ultimate Ability as well, though I would like to keep his two specials, if possible. The invisibility is meant to more show that he was trained by Sombra, and his second ability I see as less Sombra and more McCree to be completely honest. It's in the same vein as both of them, yes, but it's more of a stun and less of a hack.
