Shortly after the RP starts, signing up can be done just about anywhere as long as it's a City, but everyone's at the lab because convenience.

Well... Here's a low-down on the ranks available in each city. This is probably the only bit I have yet to add to the mechanics sheet, so it'll be there shortly after this post.

Stellite - Super, Hyper
Shakudo - Beginner, Normal, Super
Brittanium - Hyper, Master
Ormolu - Beginner, Normal, Super
Cobalt - Beginner, Normal, Super
Beryllium - Normal, Super, Hyper

There's no Beginner rank available in Beryllium and Brittanium, since they're both considered prestigious cities.

Now, basically when you start, you can only do Beginner. By winning 3rd, 2nd, or 1st place in Beginner, you qualify for the next rank, and so on.

However, to qualify for Hyper, you need to be in 2nd or 1st place.

And to qualify for Master, you need to have won in 2 Hyper Contests in 3rd or 2nd place, or win 1 Hyper Contest in 1st place.

So make your plans. It can be quick, or long, depending on your skill.

It wasn't a problem if anyone was late, the lab was open at all times for people who wanted to start their journey. Whether it was in the dead of night, or at the earliest break of daylight. Regardless she would prefer if they didn't come at such strange times... She then turned to another trainer who was asking for one and pulled yet another out of the box she had brought in from the other room, and handed it to her.

"Of course it is, here, you may have one too. Be sure you know how to use it, if you're not sure just ask any of the Aides or myself", she repeated. The battle her son was participating in was under way, although there seemed to be a lot of spirited trainers today. She can hear a minor ruckus from the contest line, and looks like more people were looking to battle. These days can be quite chaotic... Although it was more than normal today. Most people went along their merry ways after doing their business.

"Maybe I should get an assistant...", she sighed to herself.

"Okay~ So it's a double battle then? Isn't that nice Ren?", he looked down to his Froakie, who was quite busy doing it's own thing. It communicated to the stick-in-the-mud's Pokemon. Something along the lines of 'victory is assured with this dark power welling within me. My black spirit is feeling good today', or something. The group moved into their positions in the PokePark to fight with Froakie out front.

"I see you're eager today, I guess the breakfast was good then huh? Dad always makes good french toast", he commented.

"Well let's see what double battling's like then...", as he said that, the jolly kid's eyes changed from it's soft expression to a more confident one.

As the battle was about to be under way, the professor returned with a box. Inside it were Pokedexes, and she handed them out to the trainers who asked for one. She seemed somewhat happy about all of this, and there wasn't much reason she should be. The database for Pokemon in Chromis was about to get much larger over the course of the next few months and even beyond that. Although today meant a bit more for her than that, since she did this almost every week, her son was going to be going on his own journey too. That aside, right now she was more the Pokemon Professor than his mother.

"Alright, and one for you... And, one for you. Do you know how to use it?", she asked to confirm. If not, she gave them a quick explanation like before, and those who came from Kalos might adapt to this Pokedex much more quickly, as the design was similar. And if they did, she simply wished them a good journey.

This RP has no player limit, there's a reason why there are a lot of Co-GMs (and more to come if it gets that big). So you're free to drop an application.

By the way @Alder, the PokePark is actually within the lab, that's where all the new trainers were during the professor's speech.

It's a big place regardless, since it was made in mind that trainers in the city come there for a social trip too.

That said, everyone please use mentions and use a title to say where you are as well. It'll make things so much easier.

As for battles, those should be done in a titanpad to avoid a mess.
