I'm headed East towards Amalgam University.

"Hm? Oh, sure. I'll battle", he seemed happy enough to comply. As everyone was crowding around the professor to get Pokedexes, it seems she ran out, and needed to pop into the next room to get a couple more.

"Don't worry, it should be fine to battle here in the PokePark. Just be careful alright? I'll be back with more Pokedexes in just a moment, so the rest of you waiting can watch or battle while you wait for me to return", and with that she was off. Now there were some battles set up... There seemed to be four trainers, two separate battles.

"Oh, you guys wanna go first or...? Maybe a double battle? That might be fun. Mo- Uhhh, professor said it'd be fine to use the PokePark, place is big enough", the idea of a double battle might be fun too, but it might be a bit chaotic, regardless they had plenty of room to battle here. There was no need to go outside.
@I-Am-X Also you good to go.
@Deos Morran I don't see anything wrong with it, you may add it if you have no issues with it yourself.

I can't help but notice you have a huge focus on speed, I think for you it'd be worth looking up the top 100-300 Pokemon in terms of Speed stats. It may help you figure out a team to match the focus.
Huge power on Mega HAXorus is op.
why is that even a thing for Haxorus.

Its base stat attack would be higher then mega mawiles by 80! this is before the stat bonus allocation.
Yea mega mawile, the pokemon whos mega has the highest attack in all of pokemon.

If 6 of its 100 bonus stats go in speed, it out speeds a massive majority of pokemon, For every point it allocates in attack due to huge power its essential doubles up. If it was to allocate all points into defense it would still be unfair.

you don't put huge power on a Pokemon with 97 speed AND 140 base attack, especially when all other huge power users are slow (like base stat speed 50) or have low attack (case and point azumarill which when it uses huge power goes up only to base stat 100)

Surely tough claws withs its +33% bonus to contact moves would be more fitting the huge power.

Nanomachines son

Everyone was aware how strong it was when we decided it on the skype chat (this was before the discord was opened for everyone), but with the huge head blades the Mega gets, it only made sense. In the actual games this might be more a problem, because it's damn powerful and would be one of the few Dragons to not be stopped by fairy typing, but it is weak to a fairly common typing which is Ground (and fighting as well, not as common, but there, Mega Haxorus is still designed as a glass cannon too).

However this is the RP, so you can play around it.
By "work something out" you mean judges decide the result.

If you participate in the contests, you can't be a judge though. Although a contest GM like MechonRaptor here can still make NPC trainers for contests as other contestants.
York Grevillia

"Fro... Fro... FROAKIE", a strangely coloured Froakie was seen rounding the corner into the PokePark making strange stances and looked as if it was challenging any who came before it. Not too long afterward it was followed by a young boy. The staff would recognize him as the son of the resident Professor, but others may not know, plus their demeanors were quite different. Professor Grevillia herself had a serious and upbeat atmosphere, while this boy was... It almost felt like a cloud. He was quite mellow and not at all tense, almost constantly with a soft smile.

"No Ren, the those trainers aren't signing up for the Shadow Army of Giratina", he calmly said, the Froakie known as Ren wasn't deterred though and kept up the act. The nearby Pokemon that noticed were slightly confused.

"Moooom, can I have a Pokedex too?", he asked as he walked over to the Professor, waving at her.

Professor Grevillia

@1Charak2@Alder

"Of course, it's always good to see young keen trainers. Here, to scan a Pokemon, simply point it's camera peripheral in it's direction. It has the known database of every Pokemon ever seen on Chromis, so if you record any new information, it will tell you", she explained, as she pulled out two small red Pokedexes. Their design was very reminiscent of the Kalos Pokedex, as besides the Rotom Pokedex, this was the latest in design. The difference was that this one slid out sideways instead. As she handed them to the two young trainers, she heard a familiar voice, it was her son.

"Ugh... How many times have I told you to call me Professor when I'm in public...",

"Ahahaha... Sorry, I'll try and remember next time", he wasn't phased.

"Here, your Pokedex. Now... As your mother... Be careful", she didn't seem to be the best at being emotional it seemed, she was blushing a bit. Even after years of having a family, old habits die hard.

"Okay, I will... So you guys are getting a Pokedex too?", he said, turning to the other two trainers who had appeared to the professor for one.
Didn't we already get an official way to us tms in Origins? I think the process was that you put it into the tm learner or whatever and shoot the info in the mon's head.

That's some pretty space-age shit, any video proof though? I don't remember seeing such a thing.

"Understood... Scorn, Mortem, on me. The rest of you, you know what to do. Viper, you will be calling the shots on your end", he called. He hoped at least they'd comply, he had no worries on the omnic listening, and their resident healer probably by nature wasn't a commanding or rebellious type, in fact... He was more worried about his side. Mortem had a rebellious streak based on the dossier, and just seeing Scorn in person... Her file didn't do her justice. She seemed a very loose cannon, not something preferred on a mission where he looked to using more stealth.

As they piled onto their helicopters to get going and they were all seated, he turned to his current team. The trip to the site would be awhile, but that time they can use to discuss strategy.

"Right, so we'll be working together on this mission. I'd like to reiterate. No direct engagements. If you see a chance to eliminate the enemy quickly and quietly without causing noise, go for it, but our main objective is that weapon. So long as we have that, we win. We understood? If we are, any questions?"

Welcome to Chromis

"Welcome to the world of Pokemon, I am Professor Grevillia, though most know me here in Chromis as the Pokemon Professor. Pokemon are wonderful companions and friends who help us in everyday life, as well as fight alongside us as friends. However like humans they are much more complex creatures, and each one is different to the other, like how no two people are the same. As such my studies into Pokemon have always been interesting, as I learn that Pokemon grow differently depending on who raises them, and how they are raised by that person.

"Every week in the Beryllium Pokemon Lab, I will be there to greet all new trainers as they register to take on the Chromis League and it's 8 gyms, or should they feel it more suitable for them, sign up for the Chromis Pokemon Contests. If you are one of the trainers seeking to begin their new adventure, I hope to see you there!"

End video message.

Pokemon Laboratory - Beryllium City
Morning

The Pokemon Laboratory of Beryllium City was always filled with people, both staff and public, it was a public domain after all. People would visit to learn more about Pokemon, observe some of the facilities such as the various testing areas and observation areas, but it was most visited for it's PokePark, a place where trainers can rest while playing with their Pokemon. Many even used this place as a social meeting place. Besides it's state of the art facilities, some people visited to see if they could meet Professor Grevillia, who was rather famous throughout Chromis. She was often the first to be consulted about anything regarding Pokemon and often took off to pursue anything that may be new. Most importantly she was known most for her research on Pokemon Ecology, and how Chromis is able to accommodate for a much larger array of Pokemon than any other region thus far. That technology is what makes the Chromis League's now arena in the Ice Palace such a spectacle.

However, today was different, the crowd was made up of more younger trainers than older ones on a social visit. They had fresh-faced Pokemon with them, and a certain glint in their eyes. Once a week Professor Grevillia addresses the new trainers setting out on their journey that day. You can set out on your journey any day you please, so long as you register in an official facility, however the Pokemon Lab is one of very few facilities. At this time the other facilities are going under an upgrade so only the Pokemon Lab is able to register trainers, it's especially more convenient anyways as it has the facilities for registering for both the League challenge, and the Pokemon Contests.

The PokePark was to be used as the venue as Professor Grevillia greeted the new trainers alongside a few Pokemon, among them were Pikachu, Azumarill, Cyndaquill, and a Pidgey.

"You all must be the new trainers embarking on their journey as of today. Well it's good to see all the new trainers embark on their own journey, some may have goals in mind, others may find new goals along the way, in the end it's the beginning of your path in life, where it takes you, you may never know. For instance I never figured I'd become a Professor. Going on your own adventure is like a rite of passage to maturity as you see the world. There are some who also abandon their path and take to terrible acts, but remember, to never give up, despite how hard things may become", she began.

"In any case, I'm sure you'll all do just fine. Just don't forget to register for the Chromis League or the Pokemon Contests if that's your interest. You'll find the desk just outside the PokePark, and to the right. As for the trainers here who have not brought a Pokemon of their own, I'd like you all to see me and we'll pick one out for you. As for everyone else, if you'd like to help me in my research, I will hand you a Pokedex to use on your journey, and if you have any questions I'll be here all day", and with that she ended the address. Among the crowd there were some new trainers walking up to Grevillia. She worked with Pokemon very often and as a result populated the PokePark with many, so they had no problems choosing from there.

Everyone who already had their own, need only register and get going on their journey.
