Personality: Having spent most of his time with his father growing up, as his mother was always busy, he turned out quite cheerful and considerate. According to his mother those traits were why she fell for him, and he naturally inherited those traits. Unique to him though, was how spontaneous he was. You never knew what he might do under certain circumstances.

As a child York was always quite cheerful, he had a natural knack for Pokemon, whether it be befriending them or battling with them. As he grew up not much changes besides him maturing, despite her not spending much time with him growing up he never disliked his mother. In fact he loved Pokemon enough that he wouldn’t mind going down the same path.

His talent at battling had always gotten him praise from those around him, but he never expressed interest in becoming champion or even a gym leader, if anything he would only battle to learn about more Pokemon.

Biography: Many had thought he might be a bit rebellious with a mother who rarely came home, or having to live in her shadow as a famed professor in Chromis, but it never quite affected him. He was more concerned for his own well-being and understood the work his mother did was important, thanks to his father explaining things to him.

In the end he turned out to be quite a cheerful person. As he turned 16 he decided it was boring to study at school and told his mother he was going on a journey around Chromis. His mother was taken aback, evidently, as it came out of the blue, but there was little she could do to stop him.

He was given a selection of Pokemon as per usual, but none of the regular selection interested him. Then he saw a Froakie, which all the professors and researchers considered a “problem” as it was quite uncooperative, but somehow York managed to bring it under his command… More accurately, they became friends, and so he met his first Pokemon. Probably because it really liked the nickname he gave it, “Ren”.

It was always good to see a close battle, in his case it was never get hit and win, or take a hit and lose, since one was a big block of a man, and the other was a faster fight. This one had combatants with similar strengths, and it showed. It turned into a Double K.O which is rare in any fight.

"Yeah not bad. An impressive display", he commented. It made him think though... What about Cedar? During the exam he only showed his ability as a marksman, but he didn't see him use his semblance, and he remembered he wasn't eager to talk about it... Considering they were on the same team now, it was now his and everyone else in this team's business. Although now would not be the best time to speak to him about it.

@MechonRaptor I'd like to note that a Z-Ring is only awarded to those who begin their Island Trials, so receiving the Z-Ring in such a way doesn't work in a traditional sense, though if he has visited Alola before, he could have gotten one then, but never finished all the trials for one reason or another.

On that note, you can get your Crystal, AND Z-Ring on Cobalt Island in the RP, as that place has an Alolan Trial, seeing as most of it's population date back to Alola. So you can simply not start with them, but you'll be able to get all of it at once when you go to Cobalt Island. The Island Trial does not count as a gym or anything, but it is run by the Water Elite 4 member as it's captain. You can go for the trial as late or early as you please.

As soon as everyone appeared to be ready, Rui and Kami led the group through. They stepped up onto the verandah and continued onwards towards the long and many steps, it was basically a giant diagonal hallway, the giant doors at the end slightly ajar. They could hear talking from beyond. It seems this was indeed their objective.

The decorations around them were gaudy and almost immaculately placed. It seemed almost as if it was freshly made, like there was someone to impress, although that was if one would ignore the content of the decorations. They seemed to be quite... Liberal, all kinds of images of girls. Although none of them were their target at all, every single one was different, and whenever you would look away and look back, the picture changed to another.

The context of these walls as they climbed the steps was that of display, the blank and simple backdrop along with plaques that changed just as often as the pictures.

Soon, they managed to reach the goal and swing the doors open as they witnessed yet another person's shadow.

There are enough gym leaders to safely start the RP already, but I'd like to wait a bit longer for a few more players before we get moving along.
