While standing out front he reached for his phone to check his messages. It seems Jun was now a part of the team, or had agreed to be. He thinks it's about time they decided on a proper meeting place, besides the abandoned warehouse. A meeting place before the gauntlet, so to speak, where they can meet up freely. Now with school out of the way for the time being, they had ample time to do that.

Speaking of school being out of the way, he heard a familiar voice and another familiar exasperated voice. He turned and saw Katsuro speaking with Kotori, although being as she was, it did not seem a fun experience. He stepped over to enter the conversation,

"Good work on the tests. Scoring so well are you sure you two need to be talking about doing better...?", he questioned, also because summer break was starting. Given they had summer homework too, as they were handed that on the last day of exams, but it was all revision stuff as always.

A kid with their Totodile rushed past them without even a greeting, but he seemed really enthusiastic about getting in, but as demonstrated if they had the permits they can go in and out quite freely. Well in any case, as they were about to step through they were addressed to by another trainer. He was asking about whether or not they could go in.

"Aaah, you guys need to get a permit. The professor should've handed you one already", he explained as he pulled out from his bag a slip.

"You guys didn't get one?", he inquired back.

@GarlandDaHero Does indeed seem a bit irresponsible but so is sending your 10 year old kid on a journey alone.

Looks fine to me, I don't see anything wrong with it. You may add it and discuss where you would like to start. You may start anywhere within one city of Beryllium (for reference, that means you can be no more than one town over).

Track During the Test

The test week was intense, especially since it was before the summer break, most if not everyone was focused on getting through it so that they didn't have to do summer classes. The routine was attend, exam, go home, study, sleep, wake up, then rinse and repeat, for the whole week. The routine was a test and subjects for each day, Math, Japanese, English, History, Science, Literature. Rui was fairly well-studied in all of them so he fared quite well.

As soon as the routine was over, they were informed results would be posted next week, and so everyone went home after the test on Saturday, hoping they passed.

Students attended the last day of school today before summer break, today may as well be a day off as there were no classes, everyone was simply here to see what their result was. As Rui approached the noticeboard and looked for his name, he seems to have scored about as highly as last time.

"Ah", as he was checking the names of his friends, he spotted that Noboru was the only one who failed. By one point no less... He can almost hear in the background the anguished cries of Noboru as he was dragged to the faculty room, like the other few students who failed, to induct them to summer classes. Rui clasped his hands together in prayer for a brief moment before leaving to go about his day.

I am thinking of joining but I have a question. Most likely I will pick Machop as my starter and I wanted to know how the No Guard ability will be handled. Is it just like the games, only gives gives a boost but doesn't guarantee a hit, is it situational (things like Agility and Smokescreen block it) or do you want me to pick another ability? It's just that I have had problems with this ability in other Pokemon Roleplays.

In this RP, the ability No Guard is essentially the ability to stay in extreme close-quarters combat, where strikes you dish out are assured, but so are the opponent's as you maintain that distance. Furthermore it allows the direct trading of attacks, where sometimes attacks will overpower another, No Guard is pretty much assured to go blow for blow, meaning both parties will take direct hits. It's a pretty risky ability given the strategic freedom you have in this RP, but it's devastating and can end a battle very quickly if used correctly and against certain opponents.

After that little debacle had concluded, things calmed down as the time of day approached afternoon. The sun was still high in the sky, so there was some time for them to look around the reserve before needing to set up camp for the night. The University's Pokemon Center had guest rooms available, and the 24/7 student lounge too.

For now they were headed to the reserve. York seemed to be quite eager, despite what status he had as the son of a professor, he was actually not allowed in here. It seems part of the requirements was to be an adequate trainer too, alongside being given permission. They were not allowed to stay after dark however, and some specially assigned rangers start their patrol in the reserve around that time too, so too bad they won't get to see what comes out at night. Even so thinking about all the rare Pokemon they could see was likely worth it anyways.

"So this is the way to the reserve hm?", it was quite obvious. There was a big sign saying "Silumin Reserve". Regardless for now he was getting permissions processed with the gate guard for now.

Shopping Spree - Halogen Mall, Staff Area

As Dan and Lucy chased after both their Pokemon, and each other, pursuing something or someone darting around the shopping center and entering the back room, they quickly lost sight of whoever it was. As Danilo turned a corner he was grabbed and hand placed over his mouth, he can see whoever this was was holding his Eevee, also hand over mouth, but before either could appropriately panic, he simply went,

"Ssshhh... They'll hear us", he whispered. Their eyes darted to their side and saw two suspicious men.

"Ugh, this mall's a damn maze, what was the way back again? Some of these shutters closed up because they botched the initial hack", as the two calmed down he let them go, and pulled out a Pokeball.

"You two, and the girl, just wait here", he said. He spotted Lucy from behind the corner.

The two peered out as the man walked out to fight. Now that they weren't in some random corner, they can see who it was quite clearly. The two suspicious men turned to see him, and both called up their Pokemon. The man called forth a Kingler, and subsequently made short work of them. After they were beaten he tied them up against one of the pipes, after which he turned to Danilo and Lucy.

"Alright, first, what are two young trainers doing all the way back here during an emergency?", he asked.
