Current The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation.

They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

Glad to see I'm not the only follower of Lord Cato, god of wisdom, on this most auspicious Superb Owl Sunday.

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

@BlackPanther But it's so much fun.
Not to mention it's good for them.

Max: We've gone over this...thanks but no thanks.
Hush you.

I imagine Ara's perspective might prove a barrier...if I can find a reason to have it be relevant....
Shame he hates Spring so. =/

Ara: Nyx, I really don't recommend antagonizing Feoras when we're already looking at a possible alliance of Winter and Fall....
@BlackPanther He was trained not to care for people? Oh, because he started as a human? Hm...I guess fey do have to be more cautious with their love and their hatred, as they live so much longer, but I'm not sure why he'd be told not to feel much of anything. If he was trained, he didn't take to it well. Seeing as how there was that whole thing with the mortal woman....
@Belle Trying to put things behind him -- being bitter because he realizes he's lost her, and is trying to save face, at least in his own mind -- actually is an indication of caring, at least the way I see it. ^.^

@BlackPanther Wooo, yay!
@Disciple Cain Sorry to see you go, Cain. *waves sadly* Take care.
@BlackPanther I am pleased to see Feoras reacting so...fiercely. *grins* This is gonna be exciting, but it's also kinda sad that he can dismiss his feelings so easily. ONe wonders if they will torment him later...~
@LadyRunic Erps, missed the "before" part. ^.^;

@Prince of Seraphs Hm...I know in warring states there's often walls or barbed wire or something. But the Fey Realm being what it is, you have maybe a few roads crossing the borders of the courts, and then a great deal of wilderness, which a large number of fey would be used to moving through. Checkpoints only catch the people that go near them. Are there magical barriers, or something? Runic? I mean, on the one hand unaligned/wild fey probably have a bit of an area of their own, sort of a buffer between the different courts, which is hard to do if the barriers are up all the time, but on the other...if there's no barriers at all, then it's nearly impossible to keep people out if they want in. In general that can be handled, but at a time like this I could see raising barriers and allowing only monitored crossing points to be used.

This no doubt annoys the unaligned fey in the buffer zone no end, when barriers go up and keep them from moving freely in certain parts of their normal haunts (I would think the buffer has a little overlap with the very edges of the courts on either side), but then most court fey have very little regard for the wild ones.
@Blizz Writing up a sheet for Delshad, because I know full well I'm going to use him a bunch. >.< Sorry...Wait, no I'm not really. ^.^;

He's more than thirty, though. Probably more than forty...oops.

He was /supposed/ to be very minor, closer to an NPC. I'm sorry. I can't control my creations very well at all.... >.<;;

The child was clearly disappointed that he didn't know the songs, but not particularly surprised. It had been a long shot, asking for Ydran tunes from a Muran man, even if he did work at an inn. "No, it's...it's fine, I was just asking." Amuné didn't feel like singing nor even humming, and the ballad in particular was complicated. Half tragic love story, half a story of hope, she didn't want to hear it if it wasn't done well, and she knew better than to think she could teach it properly. She fell silent again for a while, turning Geoffrey's question over in her head and trying to decide if she wanted to bother answering.

"She shouldn't have said that. Not to Cecil." The quiet words were spoken slowly and without much energy. Amuné wasn't looking at the man, instead focusing on Wyth. "Being alone hurts...and he's been alone...." She trailed off, her tone upset again. There was more to it, but this was someone new, not Ethan. The girl had only just met him and he might be nice and maybe he hadn't said anything after seeing the others were Magi, but he wasn't Magi himself and he was Muran and she just didn't trust him the same way she trusted Ethan. She had no intention of telling him about her own gift, particularly since he seemed to be Zander's friend and she did /not/ trust the healer. And she didn't want to say too much about Cecil, either. That wasn't her secret to share. Amuné lifted her head enough to look over at the flautist. "I hope Ethan can help with that...."
@LadyRunic Being brought by Falk would be after the end of the Moot, though. And alright. I know that Nyx actually closed Spring's borders, at least for now, though doubtless there's stuff in place to open them with a close guard, if the Moot goes too long.
@Ojo chan 42 "taking after" isn't really...Alright, let's see if I have this right. Runic will correct me if Im' not, I'm sure.

She has her species, which is kelpie. The Court bit is her allegiance. It's very looked down on, but there /are/ fey who change courts, or who grow up in one and swear to another. The latter is better than the former, of course. And it's also frowned upon to be raised across court boundaries -- a father in one court and a mother in a different one. But I'm sure it happens.
