Current The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation.

They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

So ded. Cannot brain. Just one massive poorly coordinated and balance-lacking headache. But don't send help. I don't want to people either. X.x

Glad to see I'm not the only follower of Lord Cato, god of wisdom, on this most auspicious Superb Owl Sunday.

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

@SkullsandSlippers@Avanhelsing Tehre's a very fine balance between short things so other chars can react and long enough to give them something significant to react to beyond a single thing. It's a shortcoming of forum rps. I was going to reply today, but if people want a google docs convo I'm all in favor of this. I just can't access it from work unless I have a computer, not jsut my kindle. But I do most of my writing in the evenings anyhow, when I am not doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like I was for the past week (long story). Anyhow, I set up a doc, so feel free to jump in. ^.^

Got things started, please go ahead and add to it.
@Ozerath oh, Emama's cool with rp, she just might not stay ic in a fight. Or Elian has that hollering style too, up to others how they interpret it. So glad you're god with this. Should be great fun! I do like establishing relationships if it makes sense for chars to know each other. <3. Yee~
@Ozerath I love your tone as a writer here. *sits on* I may be grinning like an idiot right now. I think personality and backstory are solid. Benchmarks are...iffy, in my opinion. Not that they're not great skills, but a lot of the mental ones seem more physical to me, and some of them seem more like "oh he can do this" and not "he's trained so he's better at this". But I'm not exactly clear on benchmarks entirely to start with, so I'm going to shoot that over to @Gowi.

Elian and Thael are in the same fraternity, and I daresay they'd know each other. I feel like their hollering battlestyles would be either great or at least fun together, and I request that they end up in the same group, in terms of which characters are grouped where. Elian also sees Pariah as a game more than anything else, and I think the dynamic between them would be a /lot/ of fun. To this end, I suggest that Elian was in BroForce, though only an occasional/tertiary member -- healers never lack for willing partymates, after all, and she's on the independent side, not to mention her love of exploration. This would allow the drama in question to have blown right by her, so she knows something happened but doesn't really know what. I suggest that she and Thael have stayed in touch and still party up when the opportunity presents itself. What say you, Oz?
@LadyRunic totally forgot her mother was the previous queen. I guess they could have made blood-tied magics. *shrug* One more reason for others not to depose them. ^.^
@Belle I like the post. *somehow only just saw it* But a question: royal bloodline of Winter? My understanding was that rule was seized by those with the strength to keep it. Arys deposed the previous ruler, or seized power in the wake of the death of the previous ruler. So unless one of her ancestors was a ruler as well, I'm not sure she'd have "royal blood" -- not to mention I'm not sure how much that bloodline counts for anything among the fey. Is she referring to her lack of children? Also @LadyRunic do fey ever die of old age? or just disease, murder, and stupidity?
@Superboy I'm sure we might maybe make possible exceptions for specifically invited people? I mean...<.<

@Vec oh well then yes you can feel bad. =P *checks* Lies, you totally have a pic. Maybe not a face pic, but there's a pic there. Whereas I...um. Actually, I do own the top and bottom I based Elian's outfit on? Simply because it's a pretty fun outfit (though I can't wear it again until I lose weight *sigh*). And because I was just sick to death of trying to find a picture. and also because I figured Emma varies between enjoying completely impractical game outfits and things that are modest and sensible. Besides, most dancers are going to be revealing and scarves and stuff, so this way she stands out -- but not on the battlefield. <3
@Gimple Looks like most of your genres/themes/settings mesh well with what I gravitate to. Someone who doesn't care for romance at all is a refreshing change. My personal stance has always been if it happens it happens, and I can easily assume there will be no reciprocated romantic attachments. *big grin* I don't quite seem to be doing daily replies right now, primarily because of focus issues, but I am on a lot and often chatty.

I try to keep my cast varied, and I can play guys, girls, children, adults, and actually-600s. I do have a tendency towards females, but it's only really noticeable when I'm playing a single character. I love that you like varying character dynamics. Seriously, I feel a bit like I'm looking at something I might have written right about now.

I can carry multiple chars at a time, and prefer to do this. The world feels much richer when it is inhabited, no? I generally post upwards of a paragraph, all the way to a page or so if sufficiently inspired. I have been known to dip below, but only in places where it's rapid exchanges of either dialogue or action, and a reply from the other person was necessary. The need can be skirted by feeling out what the response will be OOC so as to keep writing past the point where a response occurs.

I'm not always the best in the plot department, but I will gladly contribute whatever ideas come to mind, and work to build upon proposed ideas. OOC chatter and communication in general is a must, and I do my best to let people know when I'm busy/away. Though if AT&T has a local outage like it did over the weekend I will not be able to say anything -- but you'd be able to see that I've not signed in. The guild opens when I start my browser, and I usually turn on the compy first thing in the morning, so there's rarely a day without me popping in at some point.

I would say that I have a solid command of the English language, and over a decade of forum rp under my belt. I won't promise that means I'm /good/, but I'd like to think I am. ^.^;; I'm a few years shy of thirty, and don't act it at all. I'm socially inapt and often worried I messed up somewhere, so if you have a problem with something please tell me straight.

At the moment I have one or two chars I've been wanting to dust off, but...I don't think either would fit in an older setting. Cas fits just about nowhere *grumble* and Cecilly...actually, I could totally work Cecilly for somewhere other than modern. Though the dance instructor aspect would need to go. Eh. At any rate, this means that I'm probably open to considering whatever you can throw at me. I have no specific ideas at the moment, but something in classical Rome or ancient Egypt, even feudal Asia, these would all be of interest. *wiggle* Anyhow, please do let me know if you think I'm someone you could write with. ^.^
@Skyrte eeeeexcellent~
So...do people want me to post, or are Jack, Kitty, and/or Alex gonna go first? I can do either, but I won't have much to do if I go next.
@Vec Given that I have no image and am used to establishing a char's appearance solely through description, you really shouldn't feel bad. <3
