Darren is usually seen as quite moral at heart, caring for the people he loves and loyal to his brother and boss, John. He always thinks twice and is described as kind by his sister Trish and ex girlfriend Siobhan. His brother Sean's death affected him badly, and immediately he wanted to kill the person responsible. However sometimes if something doesn't go Darren's way he won't take it well. He will do whatever he is told like helping John with the drug business or even killing someone for money.
brief history:
Darren was born in Dublin's inner city to an Irish father and Greek mother. Darren's father had lived a similar life his son does now when he was gunned down in broad daylight to appease the IRA after one of their own had been murdered in a pub, allegedly for raping Darren's mother. 

Regardless, she didn't take it well and a couple of years later when Darren was fourteen she passed away from a heroin overdose. Darren lived with his grandparents, also in the inner city for the next three years where during his late teens he began to fall in with associate's of John Delaney before working his way up to being one of the more trusted young lads that did jobs for the kingpin from smuggling to murder.

Darren originally lived in Dublin with his girlfriend Siobhan until he had to leave the country when the Gards found a handgun in his house. He went to live in Spain for a almost a year until returning for his brother Sean's release from prison. Darren had worked for crime and drug kingpin John Delaney but since his brother's murder has become suspicious and more distant from his boss.
