*a few million miles above the bases home planet, a warp signature is detected, and a large ship comes into view. Clearly torn and tattered from what would appear as an assault from another ship, it would appear that it were in some rather dire straits. As it barrels toward the planet, there are telltale signs of laser damage, and explosive force from within the ship itself. Plummeting through the sky upon entrance of the world's atmosphere, the already scuttled hull burst into flames, what little of the ship is left begins to split off into massive fireballs, as its eventually makes impact iwth the world, sending an audible impact shockwave for miles. Aboard the remnants of the ship, a lone distress signal can be picked up*
