Bio

I have been writing as a hobby for longer than you have been alive. I have been a regular member and roleplayer of no less than fourteen different online forums during that time (including the old RPG), five six eight of which no longer exist.

I was previously a regular on the Homestuck forums, but I became so sick of thread turnover there that I asked around and eventually found the Guild. Since joining, I have exclusively only participated in Advanced RPs. Before Mahz gave NRPs their own subforum, I used to be an NRP regular in the Advanced Subforum. I am a Guildfall survivor, and know/regularly write with a few others.

If you ask anybody who has written with me in previous RPs, they should tell you that I have a generally open schedule, I post regularly and in a timely fashion, and I never drop an RP once I join unless the thread dies. Some of them may tell you that I have extensive expertise within the realms of Biology, Psychology, and Physics, which I will make no effort to validate since there is no way I can provide hard proof of aforementioned alleged expertise to anybody over the internet (though I am happy to try and answer any questions you send my way).

My favorite fandom is the Myst franchise, which seemingly nobody other than me has ever heard of.

I was a Contest Moderator for the Writing Contests Subforum for just a little bit over two years. I wrote the Moderation Policy for that subforum and I ran a contest called the Twelve Labours; you can still go there and see all of them and the entries people wrote for them in the Contests Section and the Victory Archives.

I have been quadruple secret banned from the guild discord. That is not a joke.

So, I'm going to be without my computer for three days because of family things. If I'm tagged in a couple of hours, I'm going to need to manage some considerable acrobatics in order to get a post out. Like, write it all on my mobile phone. ... Terrible thought. Hah.

Oh, damn, what an error I just realized I made. ... ... ... Oh, well. I'm writing this at three AM. Desperate times calls for desperate circumstances...

I will inform you in advance that the post I plan on putting up tonight /will/ be explicitly tagging you. Forewarned.
Incidentally, for your general consumption,

If any of you would like, due to the disturbance of the Contextual Reality it is now possible to create alternate branches by narrating interrupts.

You may have noticed that the police knights in the last post were rambling on a little - long enough for some of you to have acted in the interim. If anybody hereCOUGHDONNYCOUGHwere inclined to have acted in a fashion that might have precluded them from acting/speaking as they did in the post, feel free to proceed with that train of thought.

At your own risk, naturally.
Just letting everyone know that the next RPGC will begin upon conclusion of the Final Hazard. No rush on you all, of course, just trying to keep everyone informed.

The Final Hazard is not a formal contest per-se. You can start as soon as is convenient. I was planning on running TTL alongside the Final Hazard when applicable.

With a small grunt, Fortune raised his head and simply answered "I am Fortune De Vigny."

The male knight simply nodded before lazily aiming his compound crossbow at the fallen knight with the arrow stuck in his visor and pulling the trigger. The bolt tore across the short breadth between the two armored figures before its cylindrical head crumpled and fragmented into pieces upon making contact with the fallen foe's armor, each individual splinter compressing itself like shrapnel flung against concrete and generating a spreading pool of silver metal. The stuff rapidly spread across the fallen figure's armor from each point of contact, the worn plate seemingly restored to a perfect, lustrous sheen as the wave of silver washed across it. Almost as soon as each pool began to spread, dozens of long silvery spines erupted from the armor's surface in every direction. In short order, with barely a sound, the hostile knight was reduced to a thorned statue adhered to the surface of the street - lying on its back, metal-coated arrow still protruding from its visor.

The male pavise knight then turned to face the red-suited man as he launched into his tirade, moving to lazily reload his crossbow by drawing another of the shotgun-esque cylindrical bolts from a secure ring-clutch quiver at his back. His expression was relaxed, his eyelids lowered and his mouth set in a neutral line while his eyebrows were raised ever so faintly.

His expression did not change at all as the levitating sphere discharged its blinding bolt of lightning and turned the rebar-faced man into a floating puddle of slop and cinders.

"What a fucking mess." He drawled. "You've made a lot of work for us Donny boy. If we hadn't been the ones responding to this little circus of yours, you would just be another bit of cheap silverware by now. We were told you were a bit old-fashioned, but we did not anticipate you using antiques." He glanced back at the menagerie of corpses littering the street. "The results seem to speak for themselves though, so to each their own. Hiecro, are all of them here?"

The female pavise knight - apparently called Hiecro - had retrieved her shield and walked back to join her partner where he had been standing over Fortune, now risen. "Yeah. The one with the plate shoulder is Ariett Deveca, and that glim is the biometric pass. The guy you just told to shut up is the doctor that's been roped in. Not sure who the girl or the archer are."

"Well, whatever." The male pavise knight said breezily. "Everyone up, we are taking you directly to the University of New Nemea School of Engineering where the real SNAFU is ongoing." He raised his pavise shield into the air before slamming it back down onto the cobblestone street, and abruptly the ominous humming of the levitating traffic sphere abated. "Platter Aesch is waiting to brief you there. For those of you who are maybe wondering what I'm talking about or thinking that maybe we have the wrong people - you were all heading there anyway before your limousine was intercepted." He glanced at Fortune. "You may be interested to know that the Duke is there. We were told to look out for you especially, sir."

"As for the other three," Hiecro quipped, "we'll be letting the city morgue sort them out." She leveled her crossbow at the fallen unconscious, chainmail-adorned thug Andreas had been tending to and let yet another cylinder-tipped bolt loose without so much as a warning.
@Terminal

He isn't watching him be shot persay... just seeing how that situation plays out.

And yet the red suited man is the only individual who has an actual gun. Both the police knights have crossbows that would not give off the same report.

I can proceed even if you want to leave it ambiguous, but a definite answer would be helpful.
@Bright_Ops@PlatinumSkink See above post.

Answer is now especially important since PlatinumSkink has responded contingent upon sequences of events between multiple contingent branches.
With a small grunt, Fortune raised his head and simply answered "I am Fortune De Vigny." He felt battered and bruised and quite frankly he had been tired of this whole damn mess from the start. Glancing over as he heard another gun shot, he looked on with indifference at the situation befalling the idiot who had simply gone out of his way to murder everyone and everything around him; He had honestly considered striking the man down himself at the first opportunity for the good of... well, everyone.

Just to make sure I am interpretating your post correctly - Fortune here is specifically reacting contingent upon Donny being shot?

You have not anything done wrong. I am asking because your subjective intent might affect how multiple branches develop.
@Terminal

Well I'm sorry; You have a nasty habit of not mentioning me in posts and I don't look down at my 'Non Rp' section sometimes. Besides, he was already stunned on the ground; wasn't like he was going to be doing much anyway.

Actually it was not you who missed the deadline. As you pointed out, you were not mentioned in that particular post.
oh my XD Since all of the if's will be decided by others,

Will they be?
