The Eye of the Beholder Inn

"Hmmm," the sound Desmond said as he listened to Nesna's alternative source of payment. So she does not have the coin, he thought and made a mental note not to assume. More so with people he does not know.

When Nesna put her gold earnings on the table, Desmond studyied them first with his eyes with a curious nature, and then he picked up one of them. Inspecting it and once he was satisfied, he put it down with a confirming grin. "Well, this is a... unorthodox payment and they do look like solid gold." Desmond took a moment to think and tried not to seem nervous or frightened, with her staring back at him with all four of her eyes. Why do brightborn have such... imposing features? He thought, but tried to keep the focus on the business at hand.

"With how much the tea would all cost and the gold earnings you have here. I think I will humor you and accept this unusual type of payment." Desmond added, and his tone changed a bit," but do not make this a habit, and things should be fine." Though he did wonder what else she was willing to barter with.

Returning to a more friendlier tone, "so is there anything else you wish to discuss now that payment has been dealt with?"

Ok, well, I don't know about you, @Theyra, but I still want to give this a try. If you're still interested, I'll work up an ooc, and post the link here. I'll fill out the rest of the team with npc's, whom I'll retire as new players come along.

Yeah I am still interested.
Ven Ferr/Downtown Grey Vale

Ven would say nothing to Grydon, mainly because he was fighting through the pain in his chest and was determined to fight regardless.

When Grydon tried to push Uion's axe down to create an opening for Ven. It would work, and Uion's axe would be pushed down and seeing the opening. Ven, with a pained grunt, would attack with his dual swords and would cause Uion to be pushed back. Though wounded, briefly touching his torse in pain. Uion was still in the fight, and now the two rangers could see the anger in Uion's eyes. Energy would start to form on his neck appendages. "Smart that was, and I see that your Rangers are actually worthy foes. An unexpected change," his tone started to switch to a rather villainous tone. "I think while the other rangers are busy. I will end you two before finishing off the rest."

Right as he said that, instead of shooting an energy beam from his head, the energy he had empowered him, and a low yellow glow would surround him. The air around him had a low hum to it. Uion would move faster than before to the two with axe at the ready. When he reached Ven, Uion went for a downward slice, and Ven tried to dodge out of the way, but Uion's unexpected speed was too fast for him. So, Ven would get gazed by the axe, and Uion would, with the flat side of his axe, swing and knock Ven away from Grydon, and Ven would land on the ground. Leaving Grydon by himself for the moment and Uion would focus on the red ranger."Starting with you, red ranger!" Uion yelled sightly and started with another empowered downward swing at Grydon.

Now, the two imperial troopers that were near Sarah did not see her. As they were distracted by Uion's attack on the green and red rangers. She could hear one of them cheering on the imperial officer. So, for now, she was in the clear, but if she made any significant noise or anything that could distract the two troopers from the fight. Then she will have a problem on her hands.

The three imperial troopers who were left standing after Raziel's shots were still charging. But with the blue ranger being prepared, the last three troopers tried to land a hit on Raziel. Only to fail due to Raziel's ducking, parrying, and stabbing. Leaving them on the ground and Raziel open to deal with the last two troopers that would be near the unknown Sarah or help Ven and Gyrdon with fighting the now empowered Uion.

Juichi Kyoya

Near Order Compound

"Good to know and roger that, Santi," Juichi said back to him as he readied himself back at the safehouse.

As the van bounced on its way to Order Compound, Juichi mentally prepared himself. This will be different than his previous missions, and he wants to make sure he does everything right. Not just for himself but for saving the life of the HVP who's rescue will help the rebel's cause and earn their trust.

As he did this, Juichi made sure his equipment was stored right so he could be comfortable, given the bumps of the uneven road. He held on to the rope to keep himself stable. At least the car interior was clean, which was a bonus. If it were not for the mission, he would be looking up at the night sky and star-gazing, but now is the time for action, and maybe once the mission is over, he can do that. If they succeed, that is.

As the van came to a stop and it was to begin, Juichi friendly nodded to Christopher as he left. He made sure his rifle was ready and watched as Sohee and Megan put on their NVGs. He silently did the same, put on his NVG, and turned it on. The familiar sound of its whine and its green-tinted hue vision greeted him. They were close to the compound and from where he was. He can see that the intel was right as he gazed at its walls. He was set to do this, and while he could be nervous, he was not. Juichi was in his element and took his duty seriously.

He quietly moved over to where Megan and the others were and knelt down with her in the cover of shrubs. Speaking in a low voice, "I am ready to go and just say when you want to go in." He took a long breath, "I will find what would be a good entry point into the place."
Ethan Marsh

Monday April 14th, 13 Mourningdove Lane

Ethan, at first, did not listen to what the Archivist said since he, while still in soul sight, was staring at Pom as he could see that for some reason. She had a second soul attached to her soul. He was too new to the soul sight to tell what kind of soul it was, but it dawned on him that perhaps he should tell her about this before it caused problems. If it has not already, and if she would believe him.

But, Ethan would turn off his soul sight and listen in to what the Archivist was saying. Perhaps Ethan was expecting too much or something since he did not expect the Archivist, who is an elf, based on what he can see. To be a prick, but who knows? Maybe living in this mansion for a long time by himself has done something to his mind, though he could just be a natural prick. An old one at that, and with a sense of superiority over them. This is going to be a long night and he sighed at the thought. Not just being with this Archivist but also with the others, and maybe it would have been better if the pie survived. At least get something good in his stomach if things take a turn. Which he hopes it does not.

So, after hearing what else the others have said, some of them being questions he would have asked and some of the others brought up good points. Like how did he find out they had magic powers and whatnot? He only had magic for a week and then his letter. There is more to this elf than they know, and while the rest are clearly pissed and ready to leave. A sentiment that he does not share since he wants to know what this elf wants and why he summoned them.

Then, a thought came to him that the others had not said, and since he did not want to be a repeating parrot and annoyed the Archivist further. However, the others will probably make that worse, so Ethan chooses to remain silent and not antagonize the Archivist further. He has questions, but those can wait for now.

Desmond listened as Nesna spoke and wrote down her list. He was surprised at the variety of teas that she wished to have Sya try, and this was clear on his face. She is not holding back, he thought as he finished writing the list. "That is quite the selection of teas you have in mind, and I should be able to get them easily. Desmond eyeing the list, "and at a good price as well." He added as matter at factly.

He had to admit some of those teas were on the pricey side, but he was confident that Nesna had the coin for it, or it would be awkward if she did not. Still, it did show how much she wanted her friend's introduction to be a good one and not afraid of the price for some of them, it seems. A sign of a good friend and at least one good thing he knows about Nesna so far. Though would a blightborn like Sya actually like tea? He still needs to learn how blightborns work.

"Either way, is there anything else you want besides the tea, or is that it?" Desmond asked curiously, you are certainly are not messing around with that list, and we are going to here a while anyway." He looked at the locked tavern entrance door. Is this bad luck or something else that the day the blizzard ended, someone gets murdered? Desmond thought concerning at the thought of staying in Dawnhaven.

"Or is there anything else you wish to talk about?"
