@TurboshitterAny idea when we'll see an In character?
Once we have the roster filled out. Then, after that, it just depends on how quickly I can write one inbetween work and other things. Hopefully not long.
Gonna assume based on the votes we won't be having a Discord? Or do we need more votes on the matter made?
She may do a fine job at hiding it, but Priscilla is a woman on the verge of a breakdown. Faced with the consequence of choice for the first time can be terrifying - and for Priscilla, that is absolutely true. There is a tremble to every action she takes, a silent question in ever word, but she is determined. Determined to see these consequences through, so long as the decision was hers.
Being isolated for most of her life, Priscilla is very interested in making connections with others. Connecting is even the basis for her own abilities. Approaching someone in order to make a friend, or even to make an enemy is something she finds enjoyable and exhilarating. She takes pleasure in the life experiences of others. She never fears jealousy or self-pity, instead this kind of thing gives her hope for the future.
Her personality is unsteady. Though she desperately wants to live according to her own whims, she is prone to doing what's she told. Backing down, staying quiet. When she resorts to these passive actions a dark pit forms in her heart. It the pit gets too heavy, if it falls out and takes her heart with it... she doesn't know what she'll do.
The Methumorte family. Small time, weak foundations. They hadn't produced a worthy heir in generations. So they doubled down. Forcibly integrated good genes into their own pool when possible. Secretive isolation otherwise. More children, more chances. Predictably, it became a sinister commune over time.
Located in the British highlands, the Methumorte family compound has expanded a lot in the past century. As more members spread out to kidnap young magi with potential and add them to their own family, word got out about them. Some willingly chose to join the commune, others left it to rejoin modern magus society. Many outside of the small family kept watch on them, seeing the commune as a silly experiment they could get some modest entertainment from. No one really thought such a mediocre family could strengthen itself through this method.
...and they were right, of course. Even if they'd increased the overall quality of their core lineage, it was negligible in the world of magecraft. Like any other magus family they wanted more: more power, more knowledge, more opportunity. Their current course of action wasn't working, and all of Clocktower's mages were laughing at them.
When the Yggdmillennia, seeking allies, offered protection in return for aid, the Methumorte family begrudgingly accepted. On the condition that the family retain full control over their own heavily fortified compound, they accepted any resources the Yggdmillennia had to offer in exchange for a handful of their own breed.
This "breed" included members of the core Methumorte family that were not chosen as possible leaders of their clan. Siblings and cousins with a stronger potential than most in the commune, yet expendable. While lesser members of the family were put to physical labor for community upkeep, the "core" members with most magic potential were shut inside to focus exclusively on improving the family's own magecraft. Keeping up their large bounded field and... Numerology, discovering the hidden meanings and true nature of the world through numbers. The hope was that eventually even miracles could be reproduced with enough study. The family's students were isolated with limited interaction with each other, put through strict training and diet. They had their sleep schedule planned out and didn't even choose their own clothes, dedicating all of their brain power to their craft. It broke some, strengthened others. For Priscilla, a member of this "breed," life was near insufferable.
And then she was given away. With the Yggdmillennia, she learned about their plans for a great war. In what was perhaps the first choice she'd made in her life until that point, Priscilla seized the chance to join in and find her own destiny. It's been a rough transition, but for the sake of her own life, Priscilla is determined. The Methumorte family never planned for this, but expect that if she can claim the grail for herself rather than the Yggdmillennia, they can use it to finally lift their family out of obscurity. Of course, Priscilla has no such plans. The Yggdmillennia gave her freedom, she wouldn't betray them. And yet...
TBD!
Origin: "Agency" Element: Earth School of Magecraft: Numerology
List of Skills/Spells:
First, Priscilla is adept at creating bounded fields and barriers, as well as maintaining them. Practice makes perfect, and she has certainly had a lot of practice. Although she can no nothing fancy with this simple magecraft, her experience makes her able to erect stronger fields more quickly.
Second, the Methumorte's specialty of basic numerology. Using the patterns between numbers to determine the best course of action or uncover secret truths. Recreating phenomenon through pure mathematical formula. It's nothing like true divination, but closer to sensing the shifting of energies and determining the next step from there. The Methumortes, as methodical as they were, were never able to advance their numerology beyond it's most basic concepts - perhaps due to their method of advancement itself was flawed. Priscilla is no exception to this.
Third, Priscilla's own brand of numerology. During her time with the Methumorte Family it was never considered as an improvement, but rather a deviation, and she was discouraged from using it. Even unconsciously though, this ability grew. Connections. Between people, between everything. Numerology makes use of the numbers found in every facet of life, whether people know they're there or not. Numbers are a universal language, easy enough for even children to understand all over the world. Language connects people, for good or for evil. When people connect, they continue to influence each other, even at a distance... there is a "thread" that connects them together. A thread that connects all things together if one looks hard though.
Priscilla uses a very straight forward application of this concept. She can draw a thread between herself and others. Animals, plant life, and even inorganic matter isn't outside the scope of her connections. Once she needed a vessel, a fetish to focus and create these threads. After she was denied such vessels, she learned to create them with just a touch - the most direct type of connection. If a part of her body touches something, she can draw a thread to it and exert outside influence over it. Broadcasting a feeling or even physically tugging is possible. There is a limit of course, and they can't be used to bound people or things like that - plus, once discovered, it's easy enough for another magus to sever the "thread." However, one well placed pull, one moment of hesitation could easily spell the end of even an accomplished warrior during a war.
Mystic Codes:
Just the one. An Opal Viewing Dish, something she obtained after coming to the Yggdmillennia compound. Her first request of them, answered magnificently. Mana can be collected inside the dish and stimulated with her own od, showing visions of those she has made a connection to with her magecraft. It helps her to keep track of and better visualize her own threads as well as focuses her concentration, in a sense improving her ability while she uses it.

Rider of Black
Master: TBD -------------The Black Prince True Name: Edward of Woodstock
Gender: Male --- Alignment: Chaotic Good (Evil) --- Height: 180cm --- Build: Knightly
Source: Historical Fact --- Region: England
A young man stuck between two reputations. On one hand, he is the paragon of knightly virtue: brave, chivalrous and pious. The defender of England. On the other, he is a tyrannical general: brutal, vengeful, and vain. The scourge of France. So what does that mean? A tortured soul, a fractured psyche? No. Rider is a prince raised to idolize the knights of his country who later became a knight in his own right. He embraces both of his roles with gusto, and he acknowledges and accepts that in life he tended to go a bit... overboard. But his actions as a knight, no matter how atrocious, were justified - so he decrees as a prince.
To his allies, Rider is kind and cordial, the very picture of chivalry he was known to be. And, after acknowledging the "black" side of his reputation, he tries to extend this courtesy to his enemies as well. However there is no hiding that he has a violent side, and as much as he tries to reign it in, in the heat of battle it's not unusual for harsh words to slip out, or for Rider to pull a dirty trick or use excessive force. It's possible he will snap at his allies as well should they really get under his skin. He very much values respect, so if his respect is given and not returned he might even threaten those on his side.
Although he doesn't believe that his past actions are evil or unjust, he does show some reluctance to be branded a brutal prince again. For Rider he is "the chivalrous prince Edward," no more and no less. A knight to the end. Toward the end of his life he did his best to atone for his sins. However, if slipping back into a villainous role is what's needed to win, he will do so with no hesitation. After all, a knight does not lose - and so long as he takes victory, as a prince he will decree that the ends justify the means.
A simplified tale: The hero of England, Edward of Woodstock. A gifted prince born to the English royal family. Growing up he was taught strict manners and military matters, as well as the code of chivalry which he took to heart. The years following his childhood would see the rise and fall of the notion of chivalry, in a conflict that came to be known as the Hundred Years War. Edward was still young at the war's dawn, but as king's eldest son he was expected to do his part. He was knighted at 15, and the very next year went on to win victory for his country in his first campaign.
Over the next years he and the armies he led ran over the land France, ruining and razing cities all for the glory of the English crown. For his people, he was an icon of knighthood and a respected leader. Obviously for the ravaged towns he left in his wake, he was more like a dark villain. He came to be known by the moniker "The Black Prince," due to his violent actions. Or... some say it was due to his black shield and armor, but even so, the barbarous conduct he was accused of indeed happen, at least in this rendition.
After a particularly bad break with a friend that led to the destruction of an entire village's populace, his "black" reputation was cemented. The war continued. He met friend and foe alike on the battlefield. Like many at the time he caught ill, and on his deathbed he repented for the sins he'd committed. And now, he returns to pseudo-life again to wage war once more.
Stats:
STR: C
END: A
AGL: A-
MAG: D
LCK: C
Weapons: swords, lances (preferred), shield
Class Skills:
Riding A+
Simply put, the skill to ride mounts. Excepting the dragons and dragonkind, Rider can use any vehicle, vessel, or creature as a mount and ride it expertly. He is a perfect "knight," after all, and what knight can't do something as simple as that?
Magic Resistance D
A skill that grants protection against spells and magical effects. Though certainly in the royal family's employ, Rider's own contact with antagonistic mages was limited, hense the relatively low rank.
Personal Skills:
Charisma (Black) B
A person's natural charm, and their ability to lead people, whether it's commanding an army or uniting a nation. During group battles, this skill raises the abilities of allies. For Rider, his words are a promise of violence: so while they inspire those on his side, they also demoralize the enemy.
Combat Maneuver (Horse) A
The skill of mounted battle. Naturally Riders are gifted in such combat arts, but this Rider takes it a bit further. His jousting skill is legendary, and his mastery over his steeds unparalleled. Because his battle tactics rely so heavily on being mounted, his own Agility parameter features a minus correction whenever he is unmounted.
Contradictory Nature C
Similar to a certain other Rider's skill, but instead of a split of the mind it is a split of behavior. The type of man who would swear an oath of piety and protect an ally with his life, yet stubbornly take the lives of innocent women and children. English legends of a gallant and chivalrous knight, as well as the French legends of a brutal, whimsical general - both of these are true simultaneously, leading to an alignment of both good and evil.
Mad Enhancement E+
At this low of a rank, he wouldn't normally receive the benefits of this skill. In exchange, his sanity is left intact. However, his rage can be triggered by being made a fool of, and the skill is further affected by one of his own Noble Phantasms.
Name: A Steed Fit for Jousting
Title: Even a Horse Can Win its Spurs
Type: Anti-Unit
Rank: A
Range: 1
Targets: 1
Description: A passive Noble Phantasm. Jousting is a knight's claim to fame, it's only natural that the perfect knight excels at it... but in order to joust one needs a sturdy steed. Whenever Rider assumes control over a vehicle, vessel, or animal as a mount, said mount's form is modified into the perfect steed for a gifted knight on horseback. That is, it's shape is physically transfigured to better make use of his raw jousting skill. Anything he applies his Riding skill to becomes a mount NP in it's own right, equal to E-rank. Due to his inner violent nature, the shape it takes is a little... rough looking, but he ignores it.
Name: A Shield for Peace
Title: Thyself the Defender of all the Weak
Type: Anti-Unit
Rank: C
Range: 1~2
Targets: 1
Description: A defensive Noble Phantasm drawing from his chivalrous side. The image of a valiant knight, leaving his position in order to raise his shield in defense of another - that is the legacy Rider left behind, in his home country anyway. Basically, it's an extremely sturdy shield! If it's true name is called, so long as it is in defense of an ally, Rider can use his shield to guard against even mental attacks. For example, he can defend against fear with courage, against despair with hope, so long as these mental tools are part of his oath of chivalry. It cannot be used in defense of his self. Technically he could use it as an improvised weapon, but that's a bad idea.
Name: I Have Met No Enemy Without Victory
Title: All Are Put to the Sword
Type: Anti-Fortress
Rank: B
Range: 1~50
Targets: 3000
Description: An offensive Noble Phantasm. drawing from his villainous side. The reenactment of his most famous cruelty at the siege of Limoges, where he was accused of ordering the town's entire population, including women and children, put to death. It is a promise of victory at any cost, emboldening himself and strengthening the press of his lance and the trample of his steed's hooves. Put simply, he becomes a one man destructive force, ignoring the effects of debuffs and demerits, with the ability to raze a city. Because this time in his life is associated with dark feelings of betrayal enough to aim to destroy an entire population, his Mad Enhancement skill's plus modifier activates and cause Rider to easily lose track of his own strategy.
Here they are, sorry for the wait, I hope they are up to par.
Accepted!
Yo! I see there's still a master slot is that still open?
Are all servants being summoned earlier, or just a select few? Because Berserker would be... Well he's a Berserker. You don't want them around that long.
@Turboshitter Not sure it's a great idea to have Caster be around as an early summon, though Avicebron needs it to make a bunch of golems, most of what Tiresias would do with that time is just look into the future for spoilers. Useful, but probably a bit too powerful. Plus, I think it would be more interesting to have Tiresias and Cadmus meet on summon rather than having already been hanging out for a while.
@Anza Alright I’m at work atm, so I’m going to try to keep this brief. After doing some research, I realized Void Space was indeed introduced in FGO as a canon concept. I have sworn to do my best to keep my opinions about FGO to myself as much as possible, so I’ll just say that her Void Space magecraft and Codes are fine as long as we tweak them a little.
That said, the Sketchbook is basically the Second Magic in miniature, and I’m just really not okay with anyone having that. I’m afraid that’s going to have to be left out.
@Turboshitter Quick question revolving around how we're starting. Would some of us have some time to be summoned earlier, like how in Apocrypha, Darnic summons Vlad months in advance so he could set up (since otherwise his NP wouldn't work)?
That is indeed the case. While I imagine not all Servants would have been summoned ahead of time, Caster and Lancer would more than likely have been around for a while by the start of the war.
Oh, good to know! You really should keep an up to date Servant list if you're going to be doing claims, though, in the future. It's hard to keep track of what's claimed otherwise, and it leads to situations like these.
Ah, good point. I’ll add that to the 0th post in the OOC. Thanks for the suggestion, I’m busy enough that I might not have thought of it.
Thought I'd throw my hat into the ring. No interest in a Master, but we'll see how this one goes. I may do some minor edits since I threw this together much quicker than usual, but its overall done.
Unas
Pharaoh of Cannibalism
Class: Rider
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Region: Ancient Egypt
Source: Egyptian History
Attribute: Earth
The true nature of Unas is as a wakemitama(bunrei) of Ammit, in Eastern terms. She tends to act stern and grounded in most things. Perhaps as a way to preserve her sense of self(Or as a product of being hailed a living-God. . .) she has a massive ego, and equivalent though more flexible pride. She has an air of confidence around her that translates to an almost overbearing charisma that seems to drag those around her in a certain direction.
Riders follows the law of the heavens flawlessly, merely considering herself to be a part of them- she herself acting as a bulkwark of what she considers to be 'justice', 'right', and the 'natural order'. Her sort of judgment is not about feelings or even her own opinion, but the firmness and rule of law.
Functioning on the basis of thought inherited from Ammit, she has always viewed living things as 'data', so she makes no distinction between Servants and living things. Going beyond even her own pride, she won't bow her head to a master as if a random familiar as a result.
As someone who took in the conflicting pulses of the Gods and was already an expression of Ammit, she would probably be insane without the 'Rule of Heaven'. There are too many conflicting directions within her nature if she gave into them, and so she remains grounded as possible.
Ammit was herself a Goddess who 'filtered' civilization. The information, knowledge, the data of humanity which had 'no use' to either God or Man was disposed of within her stomach. The truth of the matter is, she functioned as a filter for the sins and other parts of humanity deemed useless. Pushing the 'Human Order' forward by removing the 'unneccessary parts of humanity', put simply.
Though it was a tyranny of the Ancient Gods, surely it was a tyranny that benefited primates. Despite their many flaws, the Gods have always been the greatest allies of humans and civilization alike.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unas The last Pharaoh of the fifth dynasties Old Kingdom. Unas ruled during a period of decline, building, trade, and warfare. She established the most prolific Mortuary Cult of the Old Kingdom, subjugated the Northern nomads, and constructed temples and pyramids within Egypt. Rider also established the importance of the valley temples, and the first 'Pyramid Texts', initiating the passing of Mortuary knowledge to later generations.
Her greatest exploit is enacting the 'Cannibals Hymn'. Acting as a bunrei of Ammit, she fed on the entire Egyptian pantheon to become an all powerful celestial deity near her death.
Weapon: Khopesh, Shield
Parameters: STR: C CON: B AGI: C MAG: A LUK: A+
Class Skills:
Riding: A+
As Pharaoh, Rider is the divine child descended from the heavens who represents the Solar God. A level of Riding which can handle even the Heavenly Beast of Punishment, Shezmu, is to be expected from Unas. All vehicles and creatures at or below the level of Phantasmal and Divine beasts may be ridden without much difficulty. Rather than a skill cultivated in life, this is an expression of Riders 'divinity' and 'wisdom' which was both granted by and taken from the Egyptian Gods. Even unruly or uncooperative mounts may be properly ridden in her case.
However, this ability is not applicable for the Dragon-kind.
Magic Resistance: B Rider has obtained a peerless and divine od by enacting a Ritual of Cannibals and consuming the strength of the Gods. As a result, she possesses an uncharacteristically high Magic Resistance for the Rider class. Normally its rank would be low, as Rider is outside the three Knight classes- but her innately high aptitude has resulted in its manifestation at this rank.
It is difficult for an opponent to harm Rider with even high-thaumaturgy and grand rituals. Spells of three bars or less are completely nullified. Additionally, Rider is herself a skilled Magus who has many ways to counter enemy spells. It would not be an understatement to call her a deadly opponent for Magi of any kind.
Egyptian Magecraft(Rites of the Deceased): B Ownership of the Magic Crest of Ancient Egypt. The millennial legacy of the Pyramid Texts predating even the Book of the Dead, which contain the first appearances of Osiris. It is a skill denoting ownership of an antediluvian variant of Egyptian Necromancy which contains many lost secrets, such as the Hymn of Cannibals.
All the secrets and spells of the Underworld will be revealed to its user without distinction. At the rank of B, it can be called something like a 'magical grimoire contained within Riders mind'. By operating the Netherworlds mysteries, one can demonstrate their proficiency as head of the Mortuary Cult.
Grants proficiency in necromancy, evocation, wards, and manipulating various spiritual bodies. It does not specialize in direct attack magic but rather utility, support, and hindrance. Its color is far darker compared to normal Egyptian Necromancy, being so close to 'Death'.
Additionally the owner of this skill is given a plus modifier toward all checks relating to necromancy.
Judgment of Isfet: A A trait of the Eater of Souls Ammit, who cosigns the unworthy to oblivion. A skill which assists in severing evil(Sin) through judgement. The truth is however, rather than a skill which judges others it instead executes that which is already condemned.
Rather than increasing the damage of Riders attacks against those who are evil, it instead grants Rider an attribute not unlike a conceptual weapon. Each blow landed on an opponent will chip away at their 'Sin', and 'Evil'. It is an attack which not unlike a conceptual weapon targets the Spiritual Core and Saint Graph rather than enacting any sort of physical interference. As a tool for judging the dead, it has a more profound effect on spiritual bodies like Servants than living things.
Though Sin has been removed, nothing has replaced its 'data' within the spiritual core, leading to instability and weakness within the target. It could be compared to carving away a cancerous growth while leaving holes where it once was. It is nothing close to a careful surgery, being a form of execution that excises evil.
In that sense, Rider is fundamentally more similar to a Guardian than a Heroic Spirit- cleaning up a mess after its already been made. That is the essence of her 'Ancestor', Ammit.
Ma'at Devour: - An esoterica among esoterica. The Burden of the 'Eater of Souls', Ammit.
A state of body and existence gained through the ultimate taboo, the Hymn of Cannibals. To gain the powers of a celestial deity ruling in the afterlife, Rider consumed the entrails of all Gods. More than just a mere Sun-Child Pharaoh, Rider has inherited portions of the Egyptian Pantheons collective divine pulses. Unas possesses a superior divine core which strictly speaking exceeds the 'mana reactor' found within the Dragon-kind.
As the incarnation of Ammit, this could also be called analogous to her stomach. As a result, this reactor is not fueled by magical energy, but rather, 'the things which Rider consumes'. Its activation, then, is dependent on fulfilling that condition. More than mere physical objects Rider instead consumes 'wisdom' and 'knowledge'. That is to say, she consumes civilization. Through this process of digestion, she gains power. It is a skill comparable to but unlike absorption, as it is not a matter of incorporation. The only thing waiting in Riders stomach is oblivion, much like Ammit herself.
As an aside if the target is specifically a living thing, this skill will have a scaling increase in effectiveness based on intelligence.
Shapeshift(Punishment): C+ A skill which allows for transformation of form. In Riders case, Shapeshift is almost exclusively a war tool, acting in imitation of Sekhmet-Hathors duality. Ranging from the mists of the Netherworld to a mass of gibbering teeth and claws, a cacophony of terrifying 'Warforms' can be used on a dime. Even the instincts and disposition of beasts may be replicated, exceeding the normal limits of Shapeshift.
It is a technique based on Riders 'ancestor', Ammit, who is a composite of all Ancient Egyptian man-eating predators. As the personification of divine retribution, Ammits form is one only meant for the destruction of humans and sinners. If animals represent the Gods, than all animals who consume evil men can only represent her.
It is strongest in war, and can only be considered middling during peacetime.
Sothis-Aaru
Lion Hymn of Celestial Ascension
Rank: A+
Type: Anti-Evil
Range: 2~50 (Impact radius)
Maximum Number of Targets: 300
A manifestation of Shezmu, Slaughterer of the Gods. It is a Divine Beast of the highest order, a calamity of godly punishment not unlike the Calydonian Boar. Even so, it is not strictly a beast of Heaven, instead being aligned to the Netherworld. The Shezmu is the Lion of Hell which sits next to the Lake of Eternal fire, ensuring that those dead who were damned do not leave their eternal burden- acting as Osiris' Executioner, and Ra's escort. Given the situation it would probably normally manifest in a much weaker form if it lacked the blessings of Osiris- but Unas is a special case with a profound connection to the Netherworld on her own. As a result, it is demonstrating its full power as a Divine Beast.
It takes the form of a Red Lion whose size can vary, ranging from the size of a typical lion to larger than a house. Its claws are a royal green, eternally dripping divine blood or godly wine at the Shezmu's discretion. It is an intelligent beast- being that it assisted Unas in ascending to the Heavens(Though it is quite bloodthirsty in spite of this). The divine blood dripping from its claws represent the authority of the Gods, and so deny demon and unworthy dead alike- sapping their strength.
With a true name release, it will pounce at a target and conceptually reenact the feat of raising Unas to the stars. Shooting forward like a missile, it unleashes a wave of destruction fitting for such a massive beast. Upon finishing the charge, the target will be subject to a LCK-check. Failure will see the unfortunate punted into the Egyptian mythological sky texture, sent irrevocably 'somewhere else'.
Also a surprisingly good cook.
Wordly Wisdom of Eternal Ka
Flesh of the Earth
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit
Range: -
Maximum Number of Targets: 2
The water lily crook and flail of the Pharaohs. Normally, it is just the embodiment Pharaoh's divinity and rulership. However, its meaning has expanded in Riders hands- acting as a manifestation of the 'celestial authority' gained through the assistance of Shezmu. It is the wisdom of the Egyptians Gods which Rider gained by eating their collective entrails.
When properly wielded, this Noble Phantasm grants its user a much higher order of wisdom and intelligence. All kinds of benefits are gained as a result, such as more efficient strategy, high-speed multitasking, and better combat skills. It also acts as a mystic code allowing for an expended use of Egyptian magecraft, enhancing thaumaturgy with the knowledge of the Gods.
I’m really sorry, but Yankee has already claimed Rider. If things don’t work out with them I can let you know though!
