Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

The horses steadily advanced out of town, towards the treeline. Fanilly was at their head, her white mare trotting confidently along as she went. For once, she felt somewhat confident in her choices. There was no real need to contemplate why Sir Tyaethe was a good choice when it came to tracking down and defeating... just about any target short of perhaps the greatest of dragons, and Sir Tiral and Dame Cymbeline only made sense due to being both full-blown knights and magi themselves.

Dame Vionne was one of the younger knights in the order, perhaps even shorter then Fanilly herself albeit several years her senior. Her warhammer, while without any particular special traits, was a large and heavy weapon excellent at breaking down even magical defenses with its impact. On top of that, the tall, unusual helmet she wore, an heirloom of her family, was a magic ward. It had no anti-magic traits, but spells would find her a difficult target, and most would simply curve away from her rather then hit directly.

Dame Avina wielded a long, somewhat heavy-looking sword, a tall woman with platinum blonde hair and a serious look. She didn't talk very much.

Sir Denvon was a tall, board man in heavy armor. On his person he carried several weapons, and a large shield.

Sir Elex was a lithe man in light armor, with a shortsword and a crossbow.

All for of them were accomplished knights of the order, and Fanilly felt comfortable with her choices.

"First, we must check with the fairies," Fanilly said, as the proceeded into the forest, "Given they seemed aware of the 'dark lady's' movements, it's important to follow up with them. After that... we shall have to be careful, as her base of operations is likely trapped, but even with the power she's displayed so far..."

A mage, even a powerful one, would have difficulty dealing with so many strong foes at once.

As they entered the forest, there was some commotion from the leaves... and soon enough, a large number of fairies began to emerge from the foliage.

Mordred

Mordred wasn't exactly happy. Servants didn't need to sleep, but that didn't mean she liked being woken up this early and dragged to something she had no way to contribute to. What was she going to say, that she'd killed some stuff that was causing trouble? That was really the only thing she could contribute. She had no patience for stuffy meetings like this, and she didn't recognize a single person she was looking at through the screen. Needless to say, it seemed like the blonde knight was particularly irritated with this situation. It didn't look like her potential Master needed her either... was there even any point in her being here?

No. No there really wasn't. Mordred wasn't going to sit here, bored out of her mind, as she watched people yammer at one another. They'd have to provide her all the important details afterwards anyway, right? That's how this whole thing worked. There was absolutely no need for her to be here.

The short girl got to her feet, jamming her hands firmly in her pockets as she did.

"There's no reason for me to be here," she commented, with a shrug, glancing between the... sizable pink-haired girl and the tiny blue-eyed samurai girl, "I'm not gonna sit on my ass and watch a cow and a brat complain about one of our team members, then listen to everyone drone about stuff I'm gonna learn later anyway. I'm out."

With that, she turned and started to walk away. Unless she was stopped, Mordred would leave the building entirely and likely go off to buy snacks.

The white-haired girl, who had managed to calm down enough to tolerate Tenshi's presence, suddenly shot to her feet on the other side of the screen.

"Excuse me?!"

Mordred didn't respond.

@KnightsTemplar: With the edits I can't really see any reason to decline him.

@KoL: The only detail I feel the need to point out is she wouldn't be considered a knight of the order, but otherwise she looks fine! I feel like she might get along with Lyrie, given they're both in similar positions.
Okay, sorry about the delay, let me take a look in a bit.
Skuld

"Despite my appearance?" questioned Skuld, cocking her head to the side as she spoke. So they didn't think her appearance suited her nature, did they... It was difficult to hide the displeasure on Caster's face, even if it lasted only briefly. What did they imagine was the proper look for an evil elven queen, hm? Some buxom, overly large-breasted co-ah... No, now wasn't the time to dwell on such matters. Rather, it was the time to... explain herself, for once. Regardless of her role in life, she was not here for such purposes. No, she was planning on handling this... undead problem. At the same time, though... ah, she couldn't resist.

"Am I not the very image of an alluring, seductive queen?" she asked, running one hand across her chest as she licked her lips once more, "Certainly, you must simply be trying to hide your interest~ Fufufu..."

She paused for a moment, then cleared her throat.

"... Regardless, I chose to make myself known simply due to the circumstances. I had already planned to introduce myself after observing you for some time, but you located my presence before I had the chance," Skuld explained, gesturing idly with her right hand. It was the truth, she had been rather curious about this Servants and their... unusual Master, and therefore had elected to observe from a distance. She hadn't bothered to attempt to truly hide, because she felt she could simply explain if she was located. Regardless of anything else, the majority of these Servants, and their Master, hardly seemed to be the 'attack first, ask questions later' types.
Arturia Pendragon

"... I... am uncertain," Arturia confessed. It... wasn't impossible there was shared blood between King Arthur and Emperor Nero, but she had never learned if that was so. And if it was, it would be quite a distant relation, which made their similar looks all the more jarring. It couldn't be said that they were completely identical, but there was a similarity that went beyond coincidence in their facial features and hair. Of course, there were also numerous differences, one of which Caster rather quickly pointed out.

For a few moments, the blonde knight was silent, frowning. Drawing attention to such a thing was completely unnecessary. It didn't matter, not to her capabilities as a knight nor to anything else.

"... I am a knight before I am anything else," Saber asserted, folding her arms over her chest, "Such a thing is completely irrelevant to my abilities."

That was the end of that, at least in Arturia's mind, but the short girl could hardly prevent anyone else from bringing it back up at this point.

The market just ahead was somewhat bustling, with various stands selling various wares. One sold fish, fresh-caught from the local rivers and lakes, the cold temperatures helping to keep them from spoiling. Similarly, another stand was selling fresh red meat, the man and his daughter beside him eagerly advertising the freshness and quality of their venison.
Ange Vandarveyon

There had been reports of goblins amassing in this location. While her status was not yet on the level of a full sword saint, it had fallen to her to lead a small contingent of local military in order to root out and destroy the potential incursion. This was a duty she undertook with the utmost seriousness, and pride in herself. She was performing a service to the crown, an important task that would defend the innocent and prevent the creatures from rampaging and attacking wherever they pleased.

Now that they were close to the location of the sightings, Ange had ordered the soldiers to dismount. Initially, they had been surprised, even temporarily, to be attached to even a sword saint in training, but nevertheless they had been eager to do their job and prevent a goblin incursion. This was the matter that was chief on Ange's mind.

And yet... something unexpected was happening. Certainly, the girl had heard all kinds of music before, but this hardly sounded familiar to her. No... something was strange. Also the fact that someone was playing music in the middle of a field when there was a potential goblin attack. That was, frankly, quite stupid in her opinion.

She approached the source of the sound, one hand on the hilt of her sword as she did. The contingent of soldiers that had been dispatched with her, numbering around a dozen, followed.

Soon enough, she came upon... A dragon child, a man with some form of instrument, and a hooded girl. For a few moments, the pink-haired swordswoman stared in mute confusion, before shaking her head.

"What, exactly, are you doing here?" Ange began, her hand tightening on the hilt of her sword, "Don't you know that goblins have been sighted nearby? This situation is awfully suspicious. In the name of the Crown, I demand an explanation."
Going to try and get my character written soon, sorry, I have been a bit distracted. ^^;
Skuld

Ah, she'd been noticed... Well, that was fine. She hadn't expected to hide, if she was being frank. No, her reason for coming here had nothing to do with subtly observing these Servants... though she was also feeling rather curious.

No, she simply regarded the shoddy undead with distaste.

The figure that emerged from the shadows was... short. She didn't particularly have any sort of imposing look to her, and yet... something seemed subtly darker about her nature. The small, pale girl regarded the Saber-class Servant and the human man standing behind him with a grin. Yes, indeed, this was interesting... the hero Siegfried was here, in addition to the other Servants she had spotted. A single Master using multiple Servants... of course, she had been summoned here under unusual circumstances as well, but regardless of that she found the fact that a solitary master was seemingly in command of more then one heroic spirit was rather fascinating.

There was little reason to hide her identity, in the face of another Norse Servant.

"It's a pleasure to meet someone as famed as Siegfried, fufu~" Caster said, cocking her head to one side as she licked her lips. Placing one hand to her chest, she continued, "I am Princess Skuld, summoned as Caster~ I couldn't help but notice the shoddy, half-baked excuses for the undead swarming about this region, so I took it upon myself to remove such distasteful wretches. But it seems I am too late..."

Yes, indeed, Skuld could fashion much more worthwhile undead under her own power. As for the Master... well, she wanted to speak to him later, that much was certain. She wanted to know just why such a man was here, and what he was doing. Did he perhaps have anything to do with the terrible undead that were rising around the town? Certainly, he did not seem the type to be responsible for their creation, even ignoring the fact that the servants that had taken care of the problem were his own. So from where had he originated? He definitely didn't belong in this era, either.

  • Class Skills:

    • Territory Creation: B
  • Personal Skills:
    • Necromancy: A A skill pertaining to the reanimation and manipulation of the dead. Caster raised a vast army of undead in order to slay her brother and his companions, transforming Oland into a nightmarish kingdom of death.
    • Grace of the Elven Queen: A In life, Caster was a master manipulator who easily twisted those around her to her will. As a result, she is capable of using her words, and the grace of her bearing as the Elven Queen, in order to twist the perceptions of those around her so that she is not attacked.
    • Elemental Spirit Manipulation: C Caster may freely make use of weak, wayward spirits representing the elements. Her undead army was bolstered by many other supernatural beings, including elemental spirits.
    • High Speed Divine Words: B
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Name: Kingdom of Oland: Darkness Nightmare Capital
    • Rank: B
    • Type: Anti-Army
    • Effects: A bounded field embodying the conditions of the island kingdom of Oland while under Caster's rule. The nature it possesses is one of darkness and isolation, and endless death, a nightmarish land twisted by Caster's desire for vengeance. By invoking the name of her ancient kingdom, she is capable of replicating the state of existence of her homeland. Within the bounded field, all opponents suffer a rank down in physical parameters. There is no light, and no heat, leaving them within a pitch black void of cold. While within this Noble Phantasm, Caster gains a staging ground bonus and is capable of summoning her undead forces for a vastly reduced mana cost, effectively allowing her to create a limitless undead army. The chief drawback of this Noble Phantasm is that it is relatively small, only covering a strictly limited area, and that it takes considerable time to put into place.
    • Name: The Beast of Skuld ~ Great Quilled Boar
    • Rank: A
    • Type: Anti-Army
    • Effects: The greatest and most terrifying beast among Skuld's forces, a massive boar whose body bristles with razor sharp quills. A creature called by a greater ritual constructed by Skuld, it is a phantasmal beast capable of slaughtering many warriors in combat. It moves with great speed and possesses great strength, but beyond ignoring Skuld and her Master it is almost entirely uncontrollable. It can be convinced to ignore her allies, but if it is summoned in a populated area what would follow could only be called a massacre.
  • Personality: Cold and cruel, callous and indifferent. This is the attitude Princess Skuld displays towards others. Indeed, the image of an evil half-elven queen is the image that she projects. The image of a wicked seductress is one she deeply desires to fulfill. Her attitude is one of arrogance and trickery, as she enjoys her manipulations and the responses her words can incite. And yet... Beneath this cultivated image, there is another side of Skuld. A girl who at one time was simply guided through life by others, who naively trusted in those around her. A girl who was slowly twisted by the discovery of her own origins, the horror at the treatment of her mother, to become the necromancer of legend. Indeed, even as she became the callous manipulator of the dead and the slayer of her own kin, this side of her never faded. This contradictory nature leads to potential developments in her personality. It is possible for Skuld to become quite attached to her Master, and in spite of her otherwise cold nature she will begin to treat her master with kindness. That being said, even at her most warm and kind, her remorseless slaying of others and the raising of the dead does not simply vanish. She does not view the dead as anything more then tools. She will not hesitate to raise the bodies of those killed in the course of the grail war, though the bodies of Servants are beyond her control. Even at her coldest, however, Skuld is self-conscious about her own body. She secretly does not feel she fits the image of an 'evil seductress' no matter how much she tries to fulfill this image, and therefore she tries to dress in deliberately provocative ways in order to 'compensate'.
