Leanne smiled at him and blushed. It had been a long time since someone had been normal to her and the small flower was a kinder gesture to her than if he had spent a fortune on flowers. Her smile was genuine and she was seeing him up close for the frst time as well.

"Well I can tell you one thing. That girl is an idiot and it's her loss not yours." She hugged him. "I'm glad to finally have a friend that isn't trying to get something from me. Do you know yet if we are staying here? There is another place in town to check out if not here. The highschool has been a good place to hide out too and they have more fences than we have here."

Leanne looked at him and said "if we stay here I can arrange for rooms if you like." Just as she looked back he was getting stung by a bee on the back of his neck. He smacked the bee and it fell to the ground dead. She grabbed his hand in midair. "Let me look, the stinger is still there. Give me just a second and I'll have it out." out of her pocket. She used a small amount of it and put it on his bee sting. Within seconds it had stopped hurting. She looked at the small tube and remembered a baby being with them.

"There was a baby with you guys wasn't there? Come on, let's go see what the verdict is and I need to find that mom." Leanne grabbed Chris by the hand and blushed tugging him along with her.

Enyo was losing patience with the fingerprint scanner at her door. She knocked on Tia's door and she answered it. "I can't get my door to open." Tia looked at her and said you may need to get the soot off of your hands first. Enyo walked past Tia into her bathroom and scrubbed her hands then went back to her own door and tried again.

She got it to open and thanked Tia and entered her own room. Once inside she started discarding her clothing and walked straight into the nice hot shower. She felt good about her first day. It felt like she was already making a difference.

Lyla was fit to be tied. James just took off and didn't give her a chance to object. She followed him down the stairs and stayed inside the stairwell in the dark. She could see James and the two men. They were very intimidating and seemed like they were bullies to Lyla. One of the men mentioned liking the car and the Benelli. Her stomach was doing nervous flip flops and she couldn't see where the second guy went or what happened to James.

Lyla slipped out of the managers office and was thankful that she had a silencer on her gun. She saw the one guy reach inside the car and grab the Benelli. Lyla mentally swore. That was not a mistake that they could make again. She had to get the focus off of James.

Lyla went into the garage pretending to stumble sleepily. Yawning Lyla said "James? Where are you? Why did you let me sleep so long?"

Then she looked up and saw that one guy had the shotgun and the other was closer to James then she liked. She ignored the tension in the air and walked right over to the guy holding the shotgun with a smiling innocence. Chuckling Lyla says, "My brother dearest here gives me one task to do and I forget to do it. Thank you for reminding me." She smiled feigning anything being odd.

She reached up and gave the smelly and filthy man a quick peck on the cheek as she took back the shotgun and walked back towards the office. Still pretending she said, "Wouldn't do any good anyway there is no ammo for it." She set it casually inside the office.

"So to what do we owe the pleasure of your company gentlemen?" Lyla asked wiping the innocent expression off of her face. The guy whom she had taken the shotgun from came right up to her becoming angry. Lyla had one hand behind her and she had grabbed one of her knives. "Uh uh uh! You can look but not touch." The man smiled and she could smell his rotting teeth. "Dude you need a dentist and some serious mints." She said nearly choking on the grotesque scent.

He swung his fist at her, she ducked and caught his arm and pushed it away turning him around. She used her foot to kick him in the ass and shoved him. He fell over the trunk of the car and slid to the ground. She looked at James and the man nearer to him. "That man has no manners."

ENYO

Enyo decided to go for a run. All that technology was making her head hurt. She stretched a moment and then kicked in her super speed at a low level of about 50mph for a jog. Up ahead she saw a fairly large wildfire. Firefighters were on the scene already. There were people's houses in the way of the fire. People could be so stubborn. Some of them had not heeded the evacuation order and the homeowners were outside with garden hoses wetting down their houses trying to keep them from catching fire.

Enyo could see some of them choking on the smoke. She darted up the side of the fire riddled mountain and tossed the protesting owner and her son over her shoulders. Seeing that her escape was now blocked by fire she looked at the edge of the cliff below and she surfed the loose gravel and dirt. At the bottom was a pool and firemen and she dropped her cargo off into the pool to cool them down. EMT's pulled them out and gave them oxygen.

Enyo heard the firechief talking to the firefighters much further up the hillside and they were completely trapped. She switched her comlink to the emergency channel the fire and police used. "This is Enyo. I can get to the men. I can get them out but I will need an air drop to keep the smoke down."

She took off right up the steepest side of the mountain. The men were trapped in a lower lying level and the air was almost pure smoke. Enyo zipped in and grabbed them two at a time and brought them back out and back to the pool where the EMT's were set up. On her sixth trip she had to make a decision. Take three or leave one and take a chance that he might die. If she took all three she chanced dropping one because these guys and all of their equipment was wide.

Enyo ran with all three, she knew that drop was going to be too much as her hands could barely grip onto the third firefighter's coat let alone get him down safely so she got to the edge and threw the third guy into the air and then she broke the sound barrier getting the first two to the pool and doubling back halfway to catch the third guy. She saved them all but she looked like hell.

The EMT's made her take Oxygen even though she reminded them that she was alright. She was covered in soot and dirt and she still got dates from several of the firemen. She grinned and set up a date with one of them for the next night.

Returning to the HQ Enyo walked passed the office and heard Shiver say, "Great job out there! I caught you on the news. You want to see? Come in here."

Enyo walked in and Shiver pointed to the television and turned it on. She wasn't so surprised this time. She smiled when she saw herself on the tv news. There was a lot of praise for the demigoddess. Shiver looks at her and Enyo said, "I got three dates with firefighters lined up already." Shiver laughed a little surprised. Enyo smirked and said, "I need a shower."
