Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic stories. I love fluff and whump in equal measure (well... maybe whump a lil more)
I enjoy creating original characters for RP, but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!

I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends.
I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously.
Remember: fiction =/= reality.

Feel free to PM me if you like,
however I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.

Forward all complaints to @stone

@Yankee You still with us? I'll be working on the first post soon but I figured to ask while I'm around.

Can't help but notice that not only are there no humans, but there are also no femme characters. I feel compelled to join based on that alone. I can have a character sheet up today for your review. She'll be a recycled cleric (preemptive response to Ink: yes I like clerics!) from a D&D campaign that never got off the ground. Hopefully a falling out of faith backstory doesn't come off as too edgy but we shall see.

By touch alone Ace Cadet could tell if the items forming in his hands were at all useful to him at the moment. Something soft and pliable, something heavy and unyielding... he stored these items away by habit, not using any brain power on sorting out what they were or what to do with them. One item though he held up to his face, squinting his eyes to try and get a better look at through the dark water. It's shape was familiar, and as soon as it clicked in his mind and he knew what he was holding, the Cadet was quick to shed his helm and don the rebreather. The drainage valve began working almost immediately, mechanical gills churning to life and sucking the water from inside the mask, pushing it out. Before it was even finished, as soon as the Cadet's mouth was above water he tried to draw breath again - and found none, just emptiness and burning in his throat. The mask still needed time to convert his breath back into oxygen. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all, but when finally the mask was working as intended the Cadet thought it was worth the pain. It beat drowning after all.

Ace Cadet got his bearings again now that the threat of drowning had been staved off for now. With the rebreather's latent armor skill awakened it provided more air than it normally would be able to. Combined with Blazermate's periodic bursts of healing, the emergency the hunter had found himself in was suddenly a lot less extreme. That wasn't to say he was out of the thick of it yet though. The abyssals were rousing themselves after being struck by the Crush Shot, and one by one they started darting around the interior with their teeth and guns flashing. The Cadet would have to fight his way through the monsters, make sure his allies were alive and get back to the staircase leading out of the hold, all while fighting the heavy pulling current of water... wait, heavy current?

Having been free floating when Shippy opened her maw, the Cadet was easily swept up and out of the ship as she spat up everyone and everything that'd been inside. Barrels, abyssals, he and and the others that were down in the hold. At some point Frog had joined them as well, if that flash of green skin was anything to go by. It took the monsters much less time to get their bearings after being ejected out, and they swarmed. Joining their brethren they made for the ship, or for the sinking heroes.

The Cadet drew his sword and shield. With the blade he repelled the abyssals that charged in, the weapon quick and clean in the water. With their armor the sword couldn't quite cut through, but it cracked their metal skin and shattered their armaments. Those that preferred firing from a distance, well their shots were much more bearable with a shield between them and himself.

There was large abyssal coming up fast from beneath, one suspiciously humanoid. It had Blazermate in it's clutches! Wait a sec... is that Link? The psuedo-abyssal was heading right for him, and on closer inspection it did seem to be Link himself, with some changes. He must have absorbed an abyssal spirit to survive when the hold flooded. That was smart. The Cadet eased up, letting Link catch him as he swam with the others towards the surface. It took nearly no time at all to breach, and the Cadet prepared to be launched along with Blazermate and Frog back onto Shippy's now very different looking deck. Then a splash and a sudden attack had the Cadet slipping from the Link's grasp, leaving the Hylian to tussle with the jaws of the abyssal.

The hunter sunk down a little, leaving room for Link to battle with it. Around them, cannonballs and heavy ballista bolts sliced through the water and turned surrounding abyssals to ash. Was the tide turning in their favor?

He swam up once Link was finished, forcing himself through the ocean water even in his armor. It seemed like Link was planning to stay under and support from there. Ace Cadet couldn't argue that plan even if the rebreather allowed him to speak. He tapped on the Hylian's arm a few times and showed him a mega potion produced from his pouch, insistently offering it to Link. If he was staying below, who knew when or if Blazermate's beam could reach him - and hopefully even without words, it would be easy enough to tell what the potion was just by the look of it. With the benefit of being able to consume it underwater (and really the Cadet had never questioned the logistics of that), surely it might help him.

The Cadet knew he wouldn't be quite as useful in the water, so he broke the ocean's surface and quickly took aim at Shippy's railing with his slinger. When it connected he hauled himself towards her and over the side back onto the deck, shoving any handsy enemies that were trying to climb up. As soon as he was back on board the Cadet removed the rebreather and heaved for a few moments, getting a good few mouthfuls of fresh air. He could see that the situation on board was still hectic, but with Kamek and Sakura coming down to assist from the Atomos, plus the shipgirl and her shark swimming nearby, he thought they might just get through. A small, dark shape sped out from a corner of the deck and got right in under his legs. Initially the Cadet startled, but it was just BB, a little singed but miraculously otherwise unharmed. He scooped the piglet up and tucked it into his bag where he figured she might be safest. "You hold on tight," he told it.

Waterlogged but determined, the Cadet shouted to the crew, "What's the plan?", and the Captain answered just as loudly, "We be making our getaway to the river!" That seemed like a good plan indeed.

"Heard!" There were a couple of cannons still unmanned, which he planned to take over. First, though, if they wanted to make a clean getaway they needed speed. Once more drawing his bow, the Cadet dropped onto one knee, the metal of his armor clanging against the ship's reinforced deck. He lifted his arms up, nocking an unusual looking arrow. He pulled the drawstring hard, pulling the ends of the bow to bend and aiming straight up in the air. When he let the arrow fly it sailed up and burst, raining a shower of invigorating powder down on Shippy and everyone on board. It only needed to touch them to speed them up, increasing their movement prowess. I hope this works on boats! He didn't stop with just Shippy and her crew. He aimed out over the water where Sakura was skating around in a panic and where Kamek was hovering, spreading the powder over them as well. If Link came above water maybe it would even reach him too.

It was about that time that another new, gigantic abyssal showed itself. "Just our luck," the Cadet laughed despite himself. However if they got themselves out of the previous bind, surely they could make it out of any. He was preparing to try and shoot down any kind of shell the demon shot at them, but to his surprise it was focused on another ship instead.

"It's gonna fire on the Jackdaw!" Finding no time to swap from his bow to the cannon emplacement, he fired arrows out quickly at the abbysals flying through the air. Whether those that planned to bomb them that or the ones tossed out by the demon, the arrows stopped their momentum and dropped them into the sea if they didn't perish outright.

Could they do anything to assist the Jackdaw? Would their weapons even reach the demon from there, and if they made a beeline for her would they reach the monster before it fired? It seemed like Kamek had some kind of plan in place, so the hunter moved towards the circle of koopas, making sure that any brave abyssal boarders were turned to ash before they could interfere with whatever ritual he was planning.
@Lugubrious I wouldn't mind having a character sort of explain the whole Galeem situation to Laharl.

If he's lingering around the next morning and you want to put more of his weaknesses on display then Primrose the dancing beauty could inform him
I'll be posting an IC for Frog soon but I wanted to mention something: Like everyone is helping people in Parnasse, however it is way too much work to spare a word to Laharl who looks like and is very much a child? Very heroic, my friends very heroic.

Well he did go off to be alone pretty quickly, and everyone in Yellow Team is exhausted from the day's experiences. After a good night's rest if he reemerges I'm sure they'd chat with him, especially if he's planning to tag along. He did show off his power so they probably wouldn't turn him away from joining even if his personality is, well, like that

Content that her second spell struck home, Primrose huffed and cast the shirtless boy a curious look. Well... honestly it was more disconcerted than curious. After jumping into the battle he'd suddenly stepped back and was now... sulking? She rolled her eyes, though her hood hid her gaze either way.

Within a few moments Fox lent them a hand - apparently the other robot must have been handled - and Midna paralyzed it. At that point Primrose made use of her self-boosted magic and hurled a few more handfuls of dark energy at the thing. She wasn't sure if her magic had any great effect on it, but it didn't hurt to put more damage on the construct. Things came to a decisive end with Mona's last flashy attack. Primrose raised her arms to shield herself from the debris that flew out when the robot and car-cat smashed into the ground - the sticky, soft, edible dessert debris. Once Mona transformed back into his regular self (or at least the usual form that Primrose knew him in), she lowered her arms and looked down at herself. Not that bad, she thought, apparently standing far enough away not to be completely covered in chocolate and frosting. She swept off what food particles did make it to her, flicking pieces off of her skin and garb. Despite the noise of battle and the loud sounding of some kind of horn, no other enemies showed themselves. Maybe they were already far enough away from the smaller robots for them to know where they were. The town was still. Primrose exhaled - maybe they could rest now after the long day.

"I haven't carried a mirror in some time," she told Sectonia. "Perhaps you can try seeing your reflection in a sword, or Alibaba could show you a vision of yourself." Naturally she didn't offer her dagger, but there were a couple of others with metal weapons that might be able to catch the queen's visage in the moonlight. The easiest option might be with Necronomicon's help, though. The craft was flying down to them now that the danger had passed.

As for Primrose herself, she was planning to retire for the evening. She nodded a goodnight to Poppi as she and a tuckered out Tora retreated. The rest of the group stood in the town center, glancing around at the various homes both damaged and intact. She figured that the Phantom Thieves would find a spot to hole up together, and the rest of them would split up too. The town wasn't huge, but it was still an entire town - so there were multiple houses to choose from.

Primrose crouched down to the chocolate rabbit creature's height and smiled lightly at it. "Could you show me to a more secluded spot to sleep?"

"Of course!" the rabbit said, though she looked between the dancer and the rest of the group and titled her head, pondering, "but don't you want to stay with your friends?"

'Friends' is a strong word. Primrose turned her head, looking back at the group as well. Eventually her gaze settled on Fox. In one fluid motion she stood up again to address the mercenary. "Even with Poppi keeping watch, if it would be better to stay near each other we can divide ourselves between men and women," she suggested. Primrose glanced back to the rabbit. "You could show me there now, and if any of the girls want to join me later could you show them the way as well?"

The rabbit nodded enthusiastically, encouraged by this plan. Apparently it placed a lot of stock in friendship. "This way!" She said, hopping down a trail a little further into town. Primrose followed the creature, waving over her shoulder at the rest of the Yellow Team as she went. Unsurprisingly the entire village was the same as the center, completely made of sweets. As the pair walked the rabbit explained this and that, like what the town was named (Parnasse) and what kind of species she was (something called a 'Cybunny'). None of it was very enlightening, but Primrose hummed to show she was paying attention. Eventually she and the Cybunny came to a small house with a few holes in the roof. The Cybunny proudly stated that it was her current home and opened the door. The inside was empty except for various edible pieces of furniture and tooth aching decor.

...or so she thought. Once they stepped inside, a shadow ran across the floor. Primrose halted, her hand at her hip flickering with embers as though she were going to quick draw a fireball at any moment. The Cybunny cast a worried expression at her.

"What is it?"

"Something moved."

"Something? Oh! That's probably just Jinjah! He's my petpet. I'm glad he's alright, when I went to visit my friend and got stuck in that sap, I was so worried about him..."

Primrose stood there waiting for any elaboration, but instead the Cybunny walked farther into the room and shouted, "Jinjah, I'm home! We have a few guests in town!"

The something showed itself again, peeking out from behind a pastry in the shape of a large comfy chair. It was barely larger than her own hand, and with that permanent smile plastered onto it's face "Jinjah" was about as far away from threatening as one could be. Primrose relaxed, and half of a laugh even escaped her mouth.

"I see. Well, thank you both for your hospitality."

The Cybunny and her petpet nodded in unison and smiled. "My pleasure! It's the least any of us could do. Make yourself at home. I'll be back later, okay? Good night!"

The Cybunny headed back to the town center with Jinjah sitting snug on her fluffy tail. Once the door closed and she could no longer hear them, Primrose looked around the house some. She found a room that seemed to be for hosting, with a sofa and a hearth beside it, a very fake fire made of hard colored candy gingerly placed on rolled cakes resembling logs. Primrose eyed the couch, weariness coaxing her to just lay down and sleep. While she intended to do just that, she summoned enough energy to pull the hippo robe from her bag and spread it over the top of the couch. She smoothed it down, forming a barrier between herself and the confection she'd be sleeping on.

Gently she laid on top of it. On her back, Primrose removed her face veil and threw an arm over her eyes, the other over her stomach. She curled her legs up close to herself and sighed. As her mind raced towards sleep it started to process everything that'd happened that day: seeing the heroes arrive at the Alcamoth, choosing to join them and leaving to venture through the mountain range into the desert, finding and boarding the Naboris and making their way to Lakeside and the Pyramid, finding Alibaba, making it to the wall and through to the Oasis, running across the metal tracks away from that giant beast and into the bizarre dessert land, and now resting here at Parnasse after fighting two giant metal men.

All that in one day, and still a ways to go, she mused. Orsterra seems so far away now.

Moonlight filtered in from the holes in the roof, providing enough light to see by but not enough to be obstructive to slumber. Primrose turned over onto her side facing the room's doorway. She stared at it until her eyelids drooped and she dozed off.

I have an important question. I have acquired big hands.

May I throw you back onto the ship?

Absolutely

Since you only got two big hands, if you have to pick and choose I think Cadet could get back alright on his own, but I won't turn down getting tossed either, would be fun.
Hi, welcome! As said above you're in good company here. Enjoy!

Ames stretched her arms over her head after she finished re-donning all of her equipment. Finally, officially, she'd obtained her second class. She took a few minutes to read over the new abilities it came with, finding them pretty interesting. Flying weapons? That's cool! I wonder if it's like automatic or I'll have to pilot it or whatever... I'll try it outside of town.

Happy with Animist, she turned her attention to her coin purse. They were back in Nyu-Taro so they might as well buy more stuff. Well, at least Ames planned to, she couldn't speak for the rest of the group. Shoring up the holes in her equipment slots was probably a good idea.

"Thank you!" Ames spun in place and struck a pose with Raime's congratulations. "So you're thinking we can split up and meet back here again, right? That's fine with me. But..."

She frowned, thinking. "Weren't we going to leave the clans alone for now? Or do you guys think we're strong enough to not get picked off...? And..." She looked between Raime and Amulak, who she knew were planning two completely different clans. She had no clue what Magpie or Klein were thinking with that either - and who even knew what was going on with their other "members." "Won't it be kind of a problem if we pick different clans?"

As cool as getting Raime some kind of cyber arm would be (and Ames would totally pitch in to help obtain it) she wasn't sure if this would drive some kind of wedge into the group, either physically or socially. Wouldn't they be expected not to associate with each other if there was some kind of clan war going on?

"Maybe it'll be fine. I just don't really wanna lose anymore people from our group, you guys have been fun to play with so far..." she chuckled, a little sheepish, but it was true. Their start was kind of rough but now they all felt pretty familiar, at least in Ames' opinion.
Dang links, thought I caught it. Thank you though!
