A Pokemon League of Earth's own, huh? He spun Aayla's pokeball in his hand while she and Obi munched on some Pokefood that one of the assistants had created, mulling over what he would do. Granted, when he played through all the Pokemon games growing up, and even when he was playing catch up, he always went through the League, beating out each Champion two or three times before moving on to the next game. But here, in real life..."What do you think you two? Think we should enter?" Pinsir nodded and pumped one of her fists.

"Pin Pin Pinsir." The ex-Guardsman smiled and looked at Obi, who seemed more thoughtful about the matter.

"What do you think, Obi-Wan? It would help us get stronger." After another moment of thought, the Paras nodded as well.

"Paras." Grinning in spite of himself, he wasted no time signing the papers when they were presented to him before returning the two and setting out into the city. He was now the owner of two bug types, but he needed to expand his typings. Jigglypuff, Cherubi, and Mr Mime were all fairly unappealing to him on a personal level, but Togedemaru...Yeah, that'll do. Gives me my Steel and Electric types in one Pokemon. The bus ride into the industrial was short and in no time, Forest had found a Togedemaru who was caught up munching on wires. Letting Aayla free of her Pokeball, he grinned.

"Alright, Aayla, let's start this off strong. Brick Break!" The Pinsir rushed the preoccupied Togedemaru, it's arms glowing as it moved to deliver the fighting type move.

When the assistant came to him with the papers for the league, just as he had always done, he declined, opting instead to head out and into the forest, which was a relatively short bus ride away. One of the other trainers had run into a rather troublesome Pinsir out there and had, despite having a type advantage, lost. As he wandered into the woods, he let Crunch out of his Pokeball, the pair moving through the woods, their ears listening intently. It was almost an hour in when Crunch heard it, the sound of a Pokemon rushing them from the right. Rather than dodge out of the way though, the Gabite rounded and slammed it's head against the Pinsir's. "Gabite!" Breaking away, Jason slid a short distance back with his partner, grinning.

This would be a good fight for the Gabite, he could already tell. [color=E37915]"Alright Crunch, let's get this rockin'! Dual Chop!" Crunch rushed the Bug Type and attacked, the move aimed for maximum effect.

I rolled the dice twice on Pinsir (at her softened 7 resistance). On your first Pokeball it failed (result), but she didn't run. On your second Pokeball it was a catch (result). I'll go ahead and add her to your team. You can include the capture in your next post. And remember, you catch her on the second try.

I'll keep it in mind.

Hey everyone,

Sorry that "Plot Moving Post" took so long. Also, I apologize for it's incredibly long structure, but I really wanted to address some possible issues AND introduce a new feature to this RP (the new Pokemon League). I doubt I'll ever make a post that lengthy again. LOL

If you have any questions, let me know.

Would it be possible, as we've now moved forward several days, for a dice roll to decide the outcome of my attempt with Pinsir. He was going to offer to help the Pinsir beat the other one if he joined his team.
Remember FUBAR? It's Back

Elias had recieved word that Koren had arrived back on Paradise almost fifteen minutes before, and he was still figuring out the best way to approach the no doubt angry father. Failing to think of a decent approach, the Mandalorian finally accepted that it was going to be a shit show and headed to the man's office. At least I know he won't kill me right away...hopefully. Elias had worn his armor in it's entirety just in case Koren decided to take a shot at him in frustration, but, as he reached the door and knocked, he didn't count on it. After a moment, it slid open and the smuggler walked in, remaining standing as he looked at Koren, waiting for him to say something.

Silence reigned for several minutes before the Mandalorian finally broke it himself. "Look Koren, I know your upset, especially with myself and Willoh, but I might have some information that you'd like to hear. After the smoke cleared, I grabbed a Weequay, took him back to my ship and...interrogated him. He didn't survive the encounter, but I got what I was looking for. The group that hired him and his friends were former Imperial, even set up the information that got Loretta to go to Grakkus' Arena. All the group that attacked us had to do was wait and set up contingencies. I know it's no consolation, but it might point you in the right direction."

Tarion Je'and|The Plot Thickens

Tarion remained silent until the others were done, watching out the window as Cartel mercs swept the streets and knocked on the doors of the buildings that were clearly lived in. He knew what would come once the streets turned up empty and the people in all the various stores and apartment buildings shared what they knew and he knew they wouldn't want to still be in this building when it happened. "The Sith had a cover for his escape, though I wonder if they were piloted by people or simply remote controlled. We don't need a distraction, as you could end up pointing them in the right direction entirely by accident. As for a ship...I have one, outside the district in the spaceport. But getting to it will still prove an issue, as they will have the district cordoned off."

He noted her concern that she could no longer connect to the holonet and watched a group of mercs, lead by a rather large human wielding a large blaster cannon, approaching their building. "And we are out of time. They're beginning to search the abandoned buildings. We'll need to slip out the back and do so quickly."

Obi-Wan stopped as the Pinsir moved into the clearing and waited, though it was pretty clear that battling wasn't on it's mind, despite it's intimidating appearance. Never used a Pinsir before, so this should be interesting. Not spotting any indication of local Earth predators, he pushed the holster holding his customized .45 caliber Heckler and Koch semi-auto out of sight. He had originally intended to set out on this search without his pistol, but one of the French locals had recommended it as there had been wolf sightings in the forest, even before the arrival of the Pokemon.

Taking a deep breath, he held up both hands in a sign of peace, the pokeball kept small in his right hand so he could pull it quickly if needed. "Hey buddy. What's wrong? Lookin' awfully sad for bein' one of the toughest Pokemon around." Obi, meanwhile, prepared to unleash a stun spore if the need arose before launching into a Slash to weaken it some, as the pair had rehearsed before coming searching. But first, Forest would try and talk it down.

This is late, but the concepts are just, uh, standard writing in an Xcom setting XD Sorry guys, I don't do Dice rolls or anything, otherwise you'd all miss every shot and then get murdered in the first mission.

Interested though I would also know how much we're gonna stick to dice rolls, predetermined skills and such.
I would like to see some form of it, but also not as harsh as xcom, for obvious reasons.

So my quote of myself above yours is the answer to dice rolls. We'd really be doing this in more of a narrative setting than playing Xcom: The Written Version. Like I said, you'd all be dead in the first mission and we'd have no game XD As for the predetermined skills...I mean, we could implement it, but from a narrative stand point, there's really no need, especially since they're all things that wouldn't necessarily need special training or anything to do if we pull from the Xcom list. Except maybe Lightning Reflexes or something like that.

Cool beans. Now, are you going to battle the Pokemon or just throw Pokeballs?

Also, my plot moving post is going to have to wait till Tuesday. I have to give my roommate a ride right now, and I have to work a double tomorrow.

Attempt to reason with it, maybe talking it into joining the team, and if not, then battle. We'll see where it goes.

The teams' response following the Flashbang's explosion was unexpectedly quick. Immediately following the blinding blast, Cloud unleashed a lightning bolt from the cloudless facsimile of the sky and the bird and bear duo rammed into the sun at high speed before ripping the lunar blade from his eye. Nice touch, though a bit much I think. Mister Shine screamed in pain, his beam having faded from existence over the course of the battle. Even as he began to disappear as Marx had before him, the Titan had already begun turning on the moon, fully expecting him to do his duty now that the source of his greatest torment was gone.

Instead, he simply allowed them through the next door, informing them that to remain would mean the end of their journey and the failure of their mission, a wave of his hand causing it to appear. At this point, she wasn't sure whether or not to congratulate Frisk for getting one of the two to let them through or berate him for apologizing before they fled through the opening. The Striker didn't even bother commenting on the door them leaving the door open for the moon, who never followed, even as it shut.

Silence reigned as the group gathered themselves and, as she checked the ammo in her weapons except for the Bolt-Caster, Alicia held a silent respect for the moon's reasoning for not coming. He had known that if he came with the group, he would do his job. Honest, even if he were a villain. May he find rest after this. Ahead of them the stairway was filled with a golden glow and she readied her Doctrine of Passing, a click sounding through the stairwell as she racked a new round into the auto rifle's chamber. "Frisk, there can be no hesitation this time. We go in and we move through. What happened back there was nearly fatal, for all of us."

At this point, mincing words was only going to be a waste of the groups time, so the Titan cut straight to her point, deciding to make it clear where she stood. "We all have been told what the Virus does to it's hosts. Deedeedee won't listen to reason, he'll want to see us all eviscerated so that he can move on to conquering whatever his next target is. You need to accept that this next floor will be much the same, though minus the virus. Remember the whale's words, 'the guys after me aren't going to be willing to just let you past, you'll have to fight.' Can you accept that we will have to take another life?" Admittedly, she'd given a paraphrasing of the whale's words, but she wasn't anywhere near about to speak like he did. Besides that, their attempting to reason with Mister Bright had nearly gone south and would have gotten the Poppy Bros hurt had they failed to defeat the sun and moon bosses. Within the depths of her mind, Alicia wondered if Frisk could have lived with that knowledge, which was the only reason she hadn't mentioned it.
Phew, that was one lofty reply. lol

I'll have another post up tonight to guide things forward.
