Zabura had remained rather silent after the human who had decidedly poked him was blown away and out of sight. Minutes passed by and the tournament continued to stall and this was something that was agitating him, the humans were enough of an annoyance, and the light in this was place was even more so, the worst of it however was the lack of control the lack of structure in this place. These humans just seemed to delight in being unruly and doing as they please, the before human man who had dared to touch Zabura being only just one prime example of this. Not many would understand that the Demon Realm was not just a place with loads of Demon doing as they please, in fact the general conception that Dabura had often talked about in the past was that humans considered Demons nothing more then mindless beasts who derived on nothing more then causing pain and misery to others. There we even some Humans who had made it their life's ambition to hunt demons down who dared venture into the Earth realm, Zabura had never meant them before or even had the chance to glimpse what they were capable of, but Dabura found a slight respect for them, and as small as it was, any respect towards humans was a big thing with Dabura.

Truth was that most misconceptions of Demons were formed back in a time when Demons controlled much of this realm, back then Demons were the pinnacle of evil, more often then not they were barbaric beasts who only ever delighted in killing the weak and torturing the strong. There was no true hierarchy back then, it was just different rabbles of Demons doing as they pleased to whoever they pleased. It was only when the humans started a war that in the end pushed the Demons to their current home that things started to change in form of dispelling the chaos that had been Demon life. Many Demons in that era believed that they would one day retake their home, and crush the humans who had banished them, but it was not to be, for the doorway that separated the earth realm from the Demon Realm was locked by those same humans who had earned Dabura's respect. The door had remained locked for millennium's and it seemed like it would never again open, most of the demons who once wanted to retake earth either were killed when the first King of Demons took his throne, or some found ways to escape and the ones left slowly were killed one by one. Dabura was only one of ten Demon Kings over the many years, and when the Wizard Bibbity came to the Demon Realm to hide and re-opened the door dispelling the lock for good, many of the Demons who once hated the earthlings and wished to wage war again were gone.

However that had not stopped Demons from escaping from Demon Realm and going to earth again, in fact many demons detested the King of Demons, not wishing to be controlled anymore. When the door first opened many demons escaped back into the earth realm, and in their wake they caused mayhem again. Many humans died when the lock was first broken, it was even said that the same group of humans who had locked the gate were killed out right in retaliation so that never again could the gates of Demon Realm be locked. This though however had caused an outrage from those who managed to survive the onslaught, and those humans left tried to invade the Demon realm in revenge, however they were slaughtered, their numbers too weak and their limited knowledge of the Demon King who controlled the Realm. After this happened there was an upset in the Demon Realm many wanted to wage war on all of earth, and the old feelings of retaking earth surfaced. However the current King of Demons had put and end to that when he alone relocked the gate with a spell that could only be undone by those who were taught how to open the gate, namely those who became the King of Hell. That was why the Demon Kings were all from the same line, only those born into the line of Kings could ever be King so that none could ever ascend the throne and open the gate for the demons to escape and start a war.

The road had been long but the Demon Realm eventually fell into line, some managed to get to earth realm, but they never made it far for the humans who banished them to this realm still existed and from what Zabura knew still hunted any Demons who lingered into earth realm. Being here now and seeing this place for himself, Zabura understood why many Demons detested humans and their way of life. However Zabura like Dabura had no want or need to wage any kind of War, he did not care about the past or taking this place over. Which was why when Dabura left with Bobbity all those years ago it was mysterious and shocking, and even until this day something never seemed right bout it. Zabura silently let his eye's avert from the arena as he idly looked around the crowd of humans his patience thinning ever so slightly, it was however when he caught sight of one human in particular that his interest was peeked. The human seemed to be watching him rather intensively, an Zabura did not like his gaze all that much, no... he did not seem as if he was scared or curious, no he seemed rather deliberate. Zabura silently uncrossed his arms, it appeared the tournament would not start anytime soon, so perhaps it was in his interest to test his theory and see if this human was watching him for a particular reason or not.

Zabura silently lifted himself from the ground as he levitated into the air to the surprise and behest of several onlookers around him in the arena, floating over their heads he let his feet hit the stairs leading up stadium. Swishing his cloak he made his way to the top of the stadium and began walking the back wall heading in the direction of the staging area in the back.

Kouta could only raise an eyebrow at the demon's choice of action. Not exactly the reaction he expected when he discovered that the demon had spotted him. Maybe he'd heard of Kouta or the Shi-Long tribe and gave up whatever he was planning? Yeah, right, like that would ever happen. This had to be some kind of trick, Kouta knew it. But what choice did he have? He couldn't let the demon out of his sight, so if that meant he had to trigger a trap then so be it. Kouta pushed away from his spot, grabbing the tip of the wall separating the audience area from the arena ground pulling himself up and over with ease. He heard voices, people probably questioning what the hell he was doing, or calling security, or both. Kouta ignored them all.

With a quick running start, Kouta dashed forward and then leaped his way up to where the demon was walking, "Where do you think you're going, Demon?" he demanded, now standing in close proximity of the demon and able to look him right in the face. Could this be him? Was this red devil the one he'd been hunting? Kouta narrowed his eyes in scrutiny, using his training to get a good read on the demon's Ki. That was the sure-fire way to identify him. Kouta was unable to look at the demon who'd murdered Shino but he remembered sensing the bastard's Ki, and he'd never forget what it felt like. Most demons' Ki were a fiery sort, and teeming with pure hatred or rage, sometimes both. But the one that night... he was different. That one's Ki was almost ice cold, and devoid of anything resembling emotion, not even rage or hatred like most. After a short moment, Kouta's shoulders sagged in disappointment. Whoever this demon was, they weren't the One.

"So you're not the one I'm looking for." said Kouta, disappointment in his tone. Still, he removed the cloak he'd been wearing to show his Shi-Long clothing for all to see, "But a demon's still a demon..." his voice started trailing. Was this really a good idea? Starting a fight here would disrupt the tournament, and mobs of people would be on his case for it. And that wasn't even mentioning the collateral damage a fight would cause, the potential people this demon could try to kill before Kouta got to him, "Hmm, a demon at a tournament, and not even taking part like they usually do. What are you after, anyway?" obviously the demon wanted the Dragon Balls, but what Kouta wanted was to know why. He supposed it could be the usual immortality schtick that most evil types raved about, but he had a sneaking suspicion that this was a bit more complicated than that.

Glacier over heard a child say "look over there daddy!" pointing to both Kouta and Zabura. He looked and saw the two figures down below. People where whispering to each other and another yelling "Hey! you aren't supposed to do that!". He didn't think much of it thinking they where weak as humans and security would deal with them. He doesn't want to jump in unless the humans couldn't deal with it or someones life was in immediate danger.

He stands up trying to look over the people where he is out. Glacier waits for someone to make a move.

Nel - PL: 250/300

The walk back to his seat in the stands was long, drawn out, and filled with struggle. Since his decision to stray from his heritage, he found his impulses thumping outwardly, encouraging his buried desires to rip away his youthful cloak. Beyond all the confusion though, he found a certain pride in himself. Holding back the urges had brought him some semblance of confidence. A thread of hope to hold on to in his endeavor.

“Psst, yo Nel a fights about to break out!” shouted Cade over the anxious crowd. Many had seen the red-skinned man levitate off the ground, many had been amazed but even more frightened. They held tight to their impressionable children and to each other.

Nel raised a brow, at first surprised at how quick he had reached the bleachers while lost in thought, and then at the commotion started by a skillfully dressed monk and a crimson-skinned being who appeared more monster than man. He heard the squeal of his gloves in his pockets, the urge returning in full force. The chance was just too good to miss out on. He held out a hand towards Cade and briskly jogged over to meet them. He came from the left of the monk, stopping three feet from him and the red being. A curious and barely contained excitement in his brown eyes.

“What's going on here? Surely you both know that fighting outside the ring is prohibited,” he said, though he wished so desperately, if only in secret, that one of them would mix him up in their brawl. He looked up at the being that dwarfed them both, he towered over them like a symbolic tower, and yet, all he felt was the need to over come him.

“Why don't we all go take a seat and enjoy the matches. I'm sure they'll be starting soon,” he told them, smiling between the both of them.

Zabura and Kouta Collaboration post

Zabura
Zabura stopped walking when heard the voice behind him, it was more then apparent that this human had a reason more then curiosity to be eying him like he did. Even with his back turned he could tell he was being eyed from behind.

"Where do you think you're going, Demon?"

Zabura silently turned around to face the human, his eye's quickly meeting. Crossing his arms he chose not to respond at first but to observe the human instead. The tension was clear already between the two as the human seemed to be trying to figure something out about Zabura. The silence was broken again however with a certain tone of disappointment.

"So you're not the one I'm looking for."

Zabura clicked his fingers on his arm as he was slowly losing his patience for these random remarks. It was obvious that this was merely a waste of time, when the human revealed his clothing beneath Zabura again just observed and remained quiet.

"But a demon's still a demon..."

The tension raised higher after the humans voice trailed off, but he seemed hesitant, almost as if he was conflicted about something. Only after Zabura was asked about his reasoning for being at the tournament did he finally speak.

"My reasoning for being at this tournament is my own human, you are curious and brave to be so forthcoming. You are not like these others that litter this place, that much is obvious, but the real question is not what I am doing at this tournament, but what are you doing at this tournament?

Kouta
Kouta could only shake his head, trying to stay determined but only succeeded in showing a tired expression. Obviously he'd been through these motions several times before and seemed to have grown weary of it despite himself, "What do you think I'm doing here? I'm here to send you back to the Makai Realm where you belong." he said, pointing at the demon as if trying to be threatening.

"You and your kind have rained death and destruction on the world since ancient times. You slaughter innocent people for no discernible reason other than for the fun of it. Can you really be so surprised that people like myself were born from such cruelty?" Why was he even saying any of this? It wasn't like the demon was going to suddenly start giving a damn about their past sins and turn a new leaf or something. Then again, maybe Kouta needed to hear his own words to sustain his self-assurance, that what he was doing was still worthwhile and making a difference, even if it didn't seem like it.

"It's obvious you're after the Dragon Balls," he said, changing the subject so that the demon couldn't get inside his head, "but I am curious why. Immortality? Doubtful, strong enough demons tend to be long-lived on their own anyway. So where does that leave us? Maybe you're goals are bit more bold than that? Maybe what you're after is to rule Earth once again. Is that it?"

Zabura
Zabura was somewhat amused by the ramblings of this human, he seemed to certain of why Zabura was here in the first place. Even from sight and way he spoke told the demon that he still lived in the old days where demons were just monsters, not anything other then beasts who desired nothing more then torture and death. Without a doubt Zabura now knew exactly where this human had come from the words Makei Realm made the picture all too clear. It was an old world term, even ancient in this day an age, long before the term Demon entered the picture. Zabura curled his lips as he let out a rather sinister sounding laugh, never did he imagine he would meet one of the so called Shi-Long tribe.

"Demon hunters yes... I have heard of your kind, many years ago all I ever heard was demons, many demons cursing the name Shi-Long. It seems that even after the unfortunate destruction of the Shi-Long Village all those years ago, one still exists among us. But it seems that even after the last of you invaded the Demon Realm or as you refer to it as the Makei Realm, that you have still not abandoned your old ways of thinking."

Zabura became silent for a minute as he looked at the human with no emotion really in his eye's. After all he did not care about the past, nor did he care about demons once being rulers upon this planet so long ago. Things had long ago changed, most demons cared not anymore for this planet or its inhabitants. An even if they did then they would never again wage war.

"This might not shock you but I do not care of your assorted past human, just as much as I do not care that your tribe was the main reason why demons were banished from this realm. You see we do not care anymore to wage war in this place, nor do we care to once again control this world. For you see, long ago when we were first locked away, things changed and that change began with the Demon King. The same demon king who wiped the rest of your pitiful tribe away when they dared to invade our realm in revenge for a rogue group of demons bent on the past attacking your village."

Zabura silently uncrossed his arms as he slowly walked forward, stopping a few feet away from the human he bore his glowing red eye's into the humans continuing to speak.

"This might shock you though, I have no such desires for immortality or never ending power, I don't even care to kill all the weaklings on this planet. For you see I do not take pleasure in killing the weak, there is no honor in that. What I seek is something more then what you could ever possibly understand. You have showed me with your old ways of thinking, that even if I told you my true reasoning for wanting the dragon balls, that you would think it was a demon trick. The deep truth is... that your too afraid to accept that the old days are over. So let me re-ask your question. Where does that leave us human? I guarantee that you won't be sending me back to the Demon Realm..."

Kouta
So this demon, whoever he was, had knowledge of the Shi-Long. Not that surprising, really, few people would ever have the courage to actively seek out demons to fight, much less an entire tribe's worth of people. But what the hell did he mean by "they invaded the Demon Realm"? That couldn't be right, why would they do that? Their creed was to protect humanity from its ancient enemy, not conquest. Even if the motivation was revenge, they would surely have known that taking on Demons in their own realm was tantamount to suicide, as many demons were stronger in that realm than they were on Earth.

"What... what are you...?" Kouta tried to say, but the Demon did not stop there. He berated the tribe's old world views and claimed that times had changed for both Earth and the Demon Realm. But Kouta himself never held these views. He specifically wanted out of the tribe and have the chance to live among normal people for a change. That was the whole reason why he had survived the village's destruction in the first place. Thinking about this made his blood boil.

"You say I'm the one with outdated views?!" he exclaimed, beginning to raise his voice, "I'm not the one who ordered the invasion of Demon Realm, if that's even the truth! I didn't even take part in it! I wanted nothing to do with demons! I just wanted a life! To make something of myself that didn't involve risking my neck fighting for a dead cause for the sake of a planet of people who either don't know about it or don't give a fuck! You think I've been doing this for the glory of it? No, I just want the bastard who killed the woman I loved. This has nothing to do with creeds or worldviews. This is revenge. Pure and simple."

To be fair, that last bit wasn't entirely true. He did genuinely want keep what happened to Shino from ever happening to anyone else. But that was it. Demons, Aliens, it didn't matter at this point. If it was evil and needed to be put down, then he'd find a way to do it. Although it was becoming clear that he may have been mistaken about the Demon standing before him, if only a little. Not that he believed everything the Demon was saying, but some of it made too much sense to be a lie.

He remembered the Dragon Balls, that they were all gathered here. Most importantly, he remembered their mystical power. Any wish he may have wanted, he could have if he were to claim them for himself. Of course, he only had one thing he would wish for. But why fight over them with this Demon? Instead, he said something he thought he'd never say, "You know... the Dragon Balls can grant two wishes now, instead of just one."

Zabura
Zabura cracked a rather frightening grin at the human when he revealed that the dragon ball's in fact granted two wishes rather then one. However it did not escape his mind that after the humans outburst that perhaps, this could be a lie, maybe even to get Zabura to help him obtain the dragon balls for himself. Zabura kept his eye's trained on the human wondering if he was truly suggesting that they might work together, or perhaps this was not what was being said at all.

"You are the first interesting human I have come across since I came to this realm. Not that I am saying that you are like me, but perhaps our reasoning's for what we do are not exactly different. I can see a fire in your eye's, an now I know why. Revenge. Something you humans feel strongly, something that causes you to do whatever it takes to justify a wrong in your lives. Demons do not feel such as humans do, infact we are able to let go of things as if it never happened at all. However... there are some things that we don't let go of, some things that run deep. That’s what makes us similar, not the same but similar."

Zabura crossed his arms again as he thought for a moment. Perhaps working with this human would benefit him to a certain extent. He did not feel the need for help, nor did he want it... but it was not often that a human such as this came along, and that this could be entertaining to see how far he would go. Zabura raised his finger up off his arm and pointed at the human, speaking.

"So if I understand what your saying, you want to help me obtain the dragon balls?"

Kouta
"What I want is closure. Someone precious me, innocent of this messy conflict, was victimized by it. She deserves a second chance. Helping you obtain the balls would simply be a means to an end." Kouta said, now crossing his arms. He had to wonder if this is what she would have wanted. To be brought back under these sorts of circumstances. But no, he'd committed to this course, and he meant to see it through.

Zabura
"Human emotion... something I will never fully understand or would never want to fully understand. But as you say its a means to an end, and in my case a means of leaving this pitiful planet and returning to the Demon Realm quicker. I will accept your offer human... but do know, that if this is a trick or you are trying to deceive me..."

Zabura closed in on the human and glared at him eye to eye to show that there was no lie in the words he was about to say.

"Then the hell I will release on this planet will be like nothing you or anyone else has witnessed in hundreds of years. I am the gate keeper in the Demon Realm, I decide if the gate to the demon realm opens or stays closed... I am the Demon King of Demon Realm an if I want to start a war then all I need to do is say so. Remember this well human."

Kouta
"Demon King, huh? Yeah, I get the picture. It's no lie, the Dragon Balls were supposedly powered up some time ago so they can grant more than just a single wish at a time. Not sure how or why, but we've trained ourselves to sense these sort of things when they happen." he said, showing no reaction to the demon's threat, at least not outwardly, "Anyway, I think we've started attracting attention to ourselves up here."

Zabura
Zabura silently viewed the human but said nothing as he averted his gaze too two younger humans making their way up to their position at the top of the arena stairs. As they got closer it turned out to be the same boy from before with the increased level in Ki.

Nel
“What's going on here? Surely you both know that fighting outside the ring is prohibited. Why don't we all go take a seat and enjoy the matches. I'm sure they'll be starting soon”

Zabura glared at the younger human as he averted his attention back to the other human catching his eye's one last time.

"Not that it is your business to know, but I am known as Zabura, remember that name if you intend to betray me."

With that Zabura turned and silently walked around the boy who had protruded on their conversation, turning his back on all of them. The tournament would be starting soon and he did not wish to waste any more time talking.

Kouta
"Kouta." he said simply, "My name's Kouta. And... same thing to you I guess." he just sort of shook his head, feeling a bit foolish for trying to threaten a freaking Demon King. Still, at least they understood each other, he hoped.

As for the new guy who showed up, Kouta nodded in agreement, "Yeah... sure..." he said with a distracted tone before going his way as well.

His gaze swiveled between both of them as they left with parting words for their seats, his coppery eyes stern in its resolution. He had wanted to fight but now that the situation was diffused, he felt nothing but shame for the desire. He clenched his fist tightly, so tightly that he felt his fingers would puncture his gloves. It was just disappointing; to say the least.

“Damn man, you're awesome,” Cade placed a hand on his shoulder, smiling. “you put them in their place like a teacher.”

“Nah, man. Not at all. It was already resolved when I got here. Come on, let's go.” Cade and himself sauntered off back to their seats. Cade mumbled every once in awhile about something random that caught his attention in the crowd but Nel himself battling a inner turmoil. Today was just not his day. His gut instinct kept returning, the words “fight” kept popping up.

Jack Ryan was greeted by the short Plantian that had joined the tournament. A smile formed on his face, both from Shady's friendliness and his choice of words. "Indeed," Jack agreed. "We may be foes but only in sport. After all, that's what fighting truly is at the end of the day. No need to be upset over a sport." As he crossed his arms and chuckled to himself over how true he felt his analogy was, the large Namekian across the room twitched slightly. Before Jack could go on to begin explaining the history of the Budokai World Tournament, the door to the arena burst open.

"Alright fighters!" the host, Jake Starr, announced as he walked in. While in his typical voice and flair, he notably had his microphone turned off and wasn't using it. The audience didn't need to hear what he was going to say to the fighters. "The crowd is starting to get a little out of hand so we're moving up the schedule! When I leave the room we will begin the first round of matches!" The champion sighed and shook his head. "You don't need to yell in here, we can all hear you..." Jack mumbled, though his voice didn't meet the announcer. "The rules are simple! You must defeat your opponent by knockout or ringout! If you fall off the stage it is a ringout! If you are rendered unconscious or pinned down for longer than three seconds, it is a knockout! If you throw your opponent into the crowd or otherwise attack the stands, you are disqualified! No biting, no groin shots, no beating an unconscious foe, and no swearing! Kids watch this, ya know!"

The host reflexively spun the microphone in his hands, though he didn't bring it back to his mouth. "After each match the fighters will receive necessary medical attention! If the victor is incapable of fully recovering by the second round, then that is their problem because we will not delay the tournament to cater to that! Losers will be allowed to remain in the fighters' rest area for the duration of the tournament but if they leave the area they may not return later! Victors must stay in the rest area while they are not fighting! Bathrooms are in the back so have no fear! Now!"

The host pointed at David, before spinning and pointing at the large, orange alien, Teemo. "You two will be the first to go! Wait in here until I call your names!" With that, the host brushed his hand through his hair and promptly turned away from the fighters to exit the room. Jack Ryan began chuckling after the host left, before turning to the fighters in the room. "He may not look like it, but that guy is also strong fighter. That's how he can serve as both the host and as a referee if the fights get too dangerous," Jack explained as a small fun fact.

"It is the moment you've all been waiting for folks!" The crowd erupted in a loud cheer as the host took the stage. "The first round of the 250th Budokai World Tournament is beginning! The fighters are all fierce and confident! With a grand prize of all seven mythical Dragonballs, we will have one of the most intense tournaments in all of history!" The large hovering robot with multiple screens that has remained above the arena began to fly lower. On the screens, the previous image of all the fighters' faces was replaced by a picture of the seven orange orbs with their recognizable red stars all in a pile on top of a golden bowl. Inside the fighters' rest area, Jack Ryan smirked as he saw the picture. He looked around the room to see that most the fighters were also locked onto the picture.

The cheering only died down slightly in awe of the Dragonballs. "The strongest fighters on Earth will show to you their dedication to victory! When the ultimate prize is anything they want, you know that the challengers are bringing their A-game! Prepare for the best fights the Earth has ever seen!!" The screens on the robot folded away back inside and it hovered away. As soon as it cleared the stadium, fireworks began launching in an amazing display of pyrotechnics. "Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen the first round in the fight for the world championship! Returning finalist Teemo will be facing off against newcomer David Mirai! Will the runner-up Champ finally claim victory or will he be annihilated in the first round by the powerful new warriors!? Let's find out!!"

"Thank you for the kind offer, Ultra-dimension. But the lethal nature of the sword helps me keep the mindset needed to wield it properly. To change that could have dangerous consequences."

Guls barely let the rocket phase him and instead focused his attention on all the fighters who had gathered so far. Ultra-Dimension might make a good apprentice, and though at the moment the Green Swordsman doubted he had the physical ability to learn the Great Sage School's techniques his heart was in the right place and what he had managed to achieve with technology was impressive by itself. The other fighters here also seemed like they might hold interesting potential apprentices or disciples, though only time and the tournament would tell for sure. The young Namekian with a certain heaviness to the feel of his heart bore looking into, at least regarding his newness on Earth and Guls' own moral responsibilities as his elder if not as someone to pass teachings onto. The foreboding feelings Guls had gotten as of late weighed heavily on him, and the feeling of needing to prepare a new generation to join him in his mission pressed on his thoughts more each day, it seemed.

Regardless he was getting distracted in his own thoughts and observing and fighting in the tournament should be his primary goal.

"I apologize for my own distraction. I was lost in contemplation of the battles to come. Needless to say though, I'll be keeping my eye on promising young warriors like yourself." Guls didn't seem to notice the champ too much as he spoke up to the rest, although he made a mental note to watch his fight to see whether he was the genuine article. As the announcer burst in and gave a rundown of the rules and situation, Guls drew himself further back into his veiled cloak and waited for things to commence as he noted the rules.
As the roar of the crowd intensified from inside the fighters' rest area, Guls sat against a corner of the wall with his legs crossed in a meditative pose, positioned so he could observe both the screen and his fellow fighters. Neither the fights nor the Dragonballs themselves were Guls' objective after all. But this time would likely be the best chance he got to observe the potential candidates to become disciples of the Great Sage school of martial arts. His interactions with them now in a high pressure situation, their reactions to the battles and their own fights would tell him more than the idle chitchat had earlier. Other than that, he needed to focus on garnering attention with his own fights. The others were unlikely to join him unless he did well for himself, after all.

Chikori

"'m... The strongest... My power is... Maximum..."

As Jake Starr yelled out as he entered the room, the teenage Saiyan girl in the corner was broken out of her na- meditation. She was definitely meditating. And she hadn't been snoring, as that was obviously a mantra intended to sharpen her mind for the upcoming fight. The important part was, she wasn't sleeping. Definitely not. She was clearly meditating. There's a difference.

"Alright, let's do this!" Chikori shouted enthusiastically, leaping to her feet and boxing the air, excited that she'd finally be able to prove just how strong she really is... And then her enthusiasm died down a bit when she realized she had to sit through two fights before she got her chance. "Aw man... And my opponent's hair looks stupid, too! My fight's gonna look dumb..."

Sighing, Chikori sat back in the corner. At least this Coco girl seemed to be a Saiyan like her, so at least she'd be able to prove she's not a runt... Unless Coco was a runt too, in which case... But that couldn't be true! Like her, she was a Saiyan, a member of a mighty warrior race! Her parents had taught her all about the strength of the Saiyan race, and how they were once brought to near-extinction because someone feared that strength. So Coco should be a worthy opponent, no matter how ridiculous her hair looked. Still... That hair... This wasn't going to be the epic battle she'd been looking forward to. At least the first round should be easy enough to get through... And then, once she got to the finals, she would prove just how strong she really was! She'd achieve her dream of showing that she's not just a runt, and that she could be as strong as the legendary Super Saiyan, or even (dare she say) that greatest and mightiest of all Earth's champions, the unbeatable Mr. Satan!

As David was heading towards the ring, he wondered if it would be smarter to use his full power during the fight or if he should at least try and hide it. Either option held some risk, if he went all out future opponents would know exactly what he was capable off, but if he tried to hold back Teemo might defeat him here and now. Eventually he decided to focus on the current fight more than about any possible future. And by the time the young Saiyan descendant entered the ring his power level was raised to its maximum.

Teemo on the other hand was certain he would win, after all so far he had only lost to Jack and even then only because he was outsmarted. He had no doubt that this would be an easy victory. That said he wasn't going into the ring completely unprepared, since he mostly relied on his high speed he had made sure that he was warmed up.

Both contestants entered the ring from opposite sides and even their appearances seemed opposite, David human looking and wearing a red and black gi and cyan belt and scarf, and Teemo an orange alien wearing a blue body suit with a single black stripe resembling a belt. Now that David was this close Teemo could feel that his opponent's power level was higher than he had expected, in fact it seemed about equal to his own at maximum. But he felt he should be able to charge before David would be able to get an attack in because of the distance, but to his surprise he got hit by a small orange ball which knocked the wind out of him.

Having gotten the first hit in with Finger Gun David rushed over to Teemo planning to finish it with Blazing flurry, but the by now fully charged alien easily dodged him. "Looks like I'm at least faster than you." It turned out he wasn't kidding, cause as soon Teemo went on the offensive David was unable to dodge or block the barrage of punches aimed at his chest and face. While each punch was rather weak, the damage stacked and David knew that if this kept up he would lose.

Firing off another Finger Gun at point blanc range, David used the opening created by the ki attack to back up far enough to hit Teemo with two hook kicks in succession. After that he tried to throw Teemo into the sky, but the alien had recovered from the surprise and easily dodged once again. It became clear to David that this opponent was to fast for him to defeat with physical attacks, even though every hit he landed seemed to do quite some damage.

While the Saiyan Descendant was lost in thought Teemo quickly went back on the offensive however the two ki attacks and kicks he took slowed down him a bit. David kept trying to get some distance, but his opponent easily kept up with him no matter what he did while constantly punching and kicking him. By now both fighters were in pretty bad shape whether from a few strong attacks or a lot of weak ones. David knew that no matter who won the fight would be over soon now, and it had been a great one. "You're a great opponent and I can clearly see how you made it to the finals twice."

Of course Teemo wasn't gonna stop his attack just because of a compliment, but it did distract him from the fact that David once again made a gun with his hand and at this point another single Finger Gun turned out to be enough to knock him down.

Nel - PL: 250/300

Nel shot out of his seat with a smile, hidden by wave after wave of bodies in front of him. The fight between David and the forever-runner up Teemo was exploding. The runner up was quick and David was amazing himself, though Nel felt he relied too heavily on that Finger beam of his. He felt that he could take the both of them anytime of the day.

“Yo Cade, did you see that? Such a epic blow,” he commented, speaking on the close up finger blast. Cade just sat there gawking before showing annoyance.

“There shooting... beams out of their hands. What kind of side-show is this? Pssh, there not that impressive.”

Nel raised a brow. The crowd was eating it up. The hell had crawled up his arse? Even if it wasn't real, which he knew from experience it was, the dude didn't have to be such a butthole about it. With a poorly feigned laughter, Nel sat back down with the rest of the crowd.

“Its crazy amazing is what it is, loosen up wontcha?”

“Yea, I will when they show some actually fighting and not some movie,” he muttered.

"Thank you, I think I understand better now. Fight well, FOR JUSTICE!"

Ultra-Dimension then waited patiently to be called.

~~

“I would not normally raise my hand against an elder, but I presume you would not enter if you were not fit. As such, would you do me the honor of fighting me with no regrets, to show the world the power of the SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI AND THE ZEN SCHOOL, FIGHTING TOGETHER FOR RIGHTOUSNESS?!?” Ultra-Dimension stood resolute, dramatic sentai posing ending in a rather traditional defensive sword stance.

“Knnnneerrrk…” Master Shin Zen was barely standing. The old man Ultra-Dimension was fighting looked like he was about to topple over backwards, a sleep bubble blowing forth from one nostril. He was a small, wrinkled man, his beard and hair large enough to reach the arena floor. His green robe was too large for his body.

“Do you… Um… Need a moment?” Ultra-Dimension’s blade lowered slightly.

“Hehee, no need boy, I got this!” Shin Zen dashed forward, before throwing a widely telegraphed punch. Compared to the previous match’s speed and high action, though this blow was nothing special. Ultra-Dimension lowered his blade even more, taking the punch from below, pushing it up and away. As Shin Zen’s other hand came in below his first strike, the wily old warrior having expected his obvious attack to be deflected, Ultra-Dimension let his rear knee crumble limply to the ground, lowering his stance so that his hilt interfered with the strike.

Both parties put weight into their weapons, Shin Zen’s forearms pushing against Ultra-Dimension’s Katana from both side, while Ultra-Dimension strove to advance forward and regain his footing. Both of them were stronger than their feet’s traction with the ground, Ultra-Dimension’s footing sacrificed to block while Shin Zen’s rapid dash had left him not enough time to set his feet. So they were both pushed back. Then, between them, they exchanged a flurry of completely blocked blows, with Shin Zen’s fists doing most of the attacking. One fist would occupy Ultra-Dimension’s blade, but then the other fist would be shoved out by Ultra-Dimension’s shoulders or forearms, never letting Shin Zen land a proper torso hit.

Compared to the past battle, it was slow and not flashy. Yet, to those with keen martial arts senses, they could tell that they were testing each other. Or weak. They hadn't exactly ruled that one out yet. Shin Zen’s speed seemed fluctuate through the battle, though never reaching particularly high, and Ultra-Dimension always seemed to follow wherever Shin Zen’s speed was a step behind. Their power was harder to gauge, as neither of them were giving or making ground on the other, and their strength was not such that the arena was being damaged in the slightest. Though perhaps that was due to the precision of their strikes against each other.

Taking a step back, Ultra-Dimension retook his stance… While Shin Zen rolled back and… took a nap?

“Um…” Ultra-Dimension seemed at a bit of a loss for what to do now.

“3.. 2…” The announcer began counting down. Perhaps he had thought Ultra-Dimension had landed a blow somewhere in the flurry.

“Hold the count… I haven’t actually hit him yet.” Ultra-Dimension raised a hand to interrupt the count.

“Er… Then why is he knocked out?” The Announcer asked.

“I suppose he’s… Napping? The elderly do that.. I suppose.” Ultra-Dimension lowered his weapon.

“Heh.. Mighty kind of ya to wait… Time to go all out I suppose. Hup.” Shin Zen kipped up onto his feet, before taking a stance and breathing in and out once with a centering hand motion. “Let’s go, BOY!”

The fight suddenly took a turn into full power land, as Shin Zen rocketed across the arena and threw a mighty punch, breaching straight Ultra-Dimension’s guard with speed and power, smashing into his gut, causing Ultra-Dimension to double forward. Shin Zen’s upper body was sent spinning backwards from the force of his punch, suddenly turning his forward punch into a backflip, hooking his feet under Ultra-Dimension’s armpits. The old man’s body showed extreme flexibility, as, while standing on his hands, his feet slammed Ultra-Dimension’s head straight into the stone, breaching it with brute strength. Not willing to let his combo end there, Shin Zen kneed Ultra-Dimension’s back, the force of the strike sliding Shin Zen far enough back for his other foot to land a full kick, finally freeing Ultra-Dimension from the arena’s stone and sending him a few yards towards the edge.

Ultra-Dimension was obviously hurt by this attack, and his neck probably would have snapped if it weren’t for his armor, barely managing to stand by the time Shin Zen was dashing forward to land another attack. This time though, it was Shin Zen’s turn to underestimate how much power his opponent was capable of outputting, as a surprise horizontal swing of Ultra-Dimension overpowered Shin Zen mid step, his footing incapable of allowing him to put proper strength into his strike. Shin Zen tumbled under the swing like a limbo’er moving too fast into the limbo pole, smacking into the ground as he slid past.

Spitting out a tiny piece of tooth that had come lose as he bounced across the ground, Shin Zen smiled with glee at the match. Dashing forward into Ultra-Dimension. This was the point where they both knew each other’s strength. No more surprise attacks.

They clashed, and in an instant, the superior was visible. Shin Zen struck through Ultra-Dimension’s guard, grappling an arm and capturing Ultra-Dimension’s strike. Shin Zen launched them both into the air, before an axe kick, only half blocked by Ultra-Dimension’s left arm, smashed into Ultra-Dimension’s head, sending him back to the arena floor, barely keeping himself standing with his right arm. Shin Zen smirked as he gently landed, Ultra-Dimension dashing forward to land an overhand strike.

“Heh, for a young buck who needs to get off the computer and do some more exercise, you’re a notch too proud.” Shin Zen’s hands relentlessly held Ultra-Dimension’s katana in check, having caught the swing. Sparks sputtered from the strained metal between the pressure from Ultra-Dimension attempting to push the blade forward, and Shin Zen keeping it in check, seemingly effortlessly despite the whine and whirr of overstrained tech systems.

“If your opponent gives you an opening, you take it!” Shin Zen smiled, raising his voice as he shifted his hands and weight, suddenly lifting and launching Ultra-Dimension with a throw across the arena. Zipping forward with lightning footwork, Shin Zen launched a mighty punch at Ultra-Dimension’s head while he was still upside down, flying across the arena, this hit sure to send him rocketing out of the arena if it connected solid. Somehow, Ultra-Dimension, even upside down spinning wildly, managed to interpose his katana, bracing the blade with his primary hand, a last-ditch desperation block.

CRACK. Shattered bits of the Nebula Rebound System slammed into the arena with enough force to shatter stone.

~User Input Disrupted Engaging Auto Landing System~ Ultra-Dimension’s body twisted unnaturally in the air, and his feet managed to touch down, sliding to a halt a few bare feet from the edge.

Shin Zen paused, a frown on his face as he withdrew his fists into his massive sleeves. “Tch.. I apologize for your injury, it was not intentional, but this battle is over. You cannot allow pride to get in the way against a superior opponent.”

Ultra-Dimension slowly toppled to one knee.

The crowd was somewhat confused, till the camera zoomed in on Ultra-Dimension’s face, showing sparks issuing from a shard of metal piercing through his visor directly on the right eye. Smoke rose and an occasional burst of sparks told of the damage to the machine. The trail of blood down the shard, now dripping onto the cold gray stone, spoke of the damage to the man inside.

Ultra-Dimension toppled forward, about to hit the floor.

Clack.

“Mmm?” Shin Zen’s eyebrow raised, as Ultra-Dimension had pulled out his scabbard and slammed it into the arena floor to prevent himself from falling. “Surely you can’t intend to keep fighting with that injury?”

“Justice is blind, they say.” Ultra-Dimension’s knee raised slowly, finding his footing and raising himself to standing.

“Surely this is no time for bad jokes, get yourself some medical attention, boy! This fight isn’t worth losing an eye over!” Shin Zen dramatically swung an arm in an gesture of how stupid he thought Ultra-Dimension was being.

Meanwhile Ultra-Dimension straightened up, as though the pain was no longer a factor, and examined his blade. With one determined slash, halted suddenly, the useless remaining fragments of the Nebula Rebound system were flung away, sent skidding away along the stone arena.

“WHAT USE IS A HERO THAT THROWS AWAY HIS CONVICTIONS WHEN THINGS ARE DIFFICULT? MY PRIDE AS A HERO IS WORTH MORE THAN WINNING A TOURNAMENT! BUT ENOUGH TALK, I’VE ONLY BEGUN TO FIGHT!” Bare sword leveled at Shin Zen, the roaring conviction in Ultra-Dimension’s words revealed the surging emotional intensity that kept his pain in check.

"Hmmph.. You can't even se*VVVMMMMMM*" Shin Zen was interrupted as ki suddenly started blasting from Ultra-Dimension, emanating from him like a fierce wind. "Throwing your power around won't... ""SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI BLACK HEAVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!" Shin Zen was interrupted again, as Ultra-Dimension half-sheathed his weapon, then turned on his energy-sucking mode, which absorbed energy as he sent it out, causing the ki that had been blasting pointlessly to almost form a bubble around Ultra-Dimension.

"Dammit Boy, listen to your Elde*WHAM*" Shin Zen rushed forward to Ultra-Dimension blind side, about to launch a blow to force Ultra-Dimension to his knees before Ultra-Dimension's scabbard slammed him in the gut. Ultra-Dimension wasn't even looking. Shin Zen looked at the flow of Ki, and how he was blocking it, and his eyes dawned with comprehension as he retreated outside of the sphere.

"Not bad, Boy, I suppose I underestima*WHAM*" Shin Zen was interrupted again as Ultra-Dimension swung his sword, a strike starting low and aimed high. Shin Zen easily backed out of the way, but then was slammed with the extra reach of the scabbard as the scabbard slid down the blade. Punching his sword back down the scabbard and rushing forward, Ultra-Dimension kicked Shin Zen into the air, nearly out of the arena, Shin Zen having already a foot off the ground from the previous strike.

"STOP INTERRUPTI""SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI SUPER-NOVA KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!" Ultra-Dimension's ki aura stopped, and he activated the energy now stored in his scabbard, and the explosion sent Ultra-Dimension spinning in the air up after Shin Zen. Time seemed to slow, as Shin Zen raised his hands to block, while Ultra-Dimension's super spin kick neared, his remaining eye glinting with intent.

*CRASH*

Shin Zen slammed into the ground, while Ultra-Dimension, having successfully kicked Shin Zen despite his eye injury, had miss aimed his trajectory, and slammed into the concrete wall protecting the stands. In a super-sentai pose, no less, though this one was probably not intentional.

Only the keenest eyes, and moments later, the double checking of high speed cameras revealed the truth.

"The winner is Ultra-Dimension, as he landed a full 73 milliseconds after Shin Zen!"

Medics rushed over to the pair. Shin Zen was quickly removed on a stretcher, but he seemed to simply be sleeping rather than heavily injured. While he had been the one knocked out of the field first, he had suffered significantly less damage, even ignoring the eye injury to Ultra-Dimension. Speaking of which, they were having significant difficulties prying him from the wall.

Then, a huge roar began to close in on the crowd from above. People began to look up as hot wind blew upon them. A spaceship, about 30 feet in length, 13ish in breadth and depth, descended, and lowered a crane arm to grab Ultra-Dimension.

"Auto-Recovery Mode Enabled. Super Galaxy Samurai Ultra-Dimension Will Return Shortly." The dispassionate AI voice commented, bringing him into some sort of hangar bay before setting off to park on the lawn outside.

Immediately after his fight David returned to the rest area, hoping to see the next fight. And while he missed the first few moments of it, he wasn't disappointed. Ultra-Dimension despite seeming a bit weird put up a great fight. In fact David even thought that it was more impressive than his fight which was against a two time finalist. He decided that if he saw the samurai again, he would congratulate him on what David considered a great victory against a superior opponent.

For now though David wandered around the rest area while the preparations for the third match were underway, once more looking for someone to talk too in order to kill the time.

Light watched from the lobby room at the two fights that had unfolded before her. David's fight was pretty average she thought, much like how a fight should be. The superhero guy though... Light both liked and disliked that fight, more so because of how flashy it was, especially vs an old man. "Not the kind of goofy I like, but man that fight was weird." Light said.

She then noticed David nearby who also watched the fight with Ultra-dimension, and decided to say hi, commenting on what she thought of the last match, emphasizing the goofiness of it. "Seriously, I can understand the merits of being goofy, but you would think it would be easy to knock him off balance with those weird poses he made. And if he does those long transformation scenes.... well...."

The fights so far... Jack thought to himself as he leaned against the windowsill overlooking the arena. There's no question about it. I'm likely to be one of the weakest here. I have to give it my all and then some if I want to keep the title. The green-haired champion wiped nervous sweat from his brow. It isn't even about getting my wish. This is to save face. My pride as a warrior. Today's adversaries may be powerful, but I will overcome them and win. That is what the people expect of me and what I expect of myself. That's right. I can do this. One round at a time.

The Champion watched as the two Saiyan women began their fight in the arena. They seemed evenly matched, which is a difference compared to the previous two fights where there was someone with a clear upper-hand. Yet in both those matches the fighter he predicted to win ended up losing. He had fought Teemo before and knew he was powerful, yet he lost in the first round. And while Jack had never met this elderly Shin Zen in his life, he could see that Ultra-Dimension was pushed to his limit and then some while the old man hardly exerted himself. And the old man still ended up losing! Jack looked over at Fenro again. The large Namekian had hardly moved since the tournament began. While Jack knew that most of the fighters were watching the fights he felt that the others were enjoying it whereas Fenro seemed to be studying it far more intently than the rest.

Then again, his demeanor so far had been rather unfriendly and detached. Whether he was trying or not the Namekian certainly gave off some hardcore macho vibes. Jack shuddered for a moment as he reinforced the idea that he is the weakest contender. I can't explain it but all these fighters... I can just feel that they are stronger, he thought to himself as he let his gaze wander around the room. But I'm not afraid. I've made up my mind and I will be defeating them. My greatest challenge yet and I'm not planning on failure. This will be the day that I truly make my master proud. His train of thought was interrupted by the loud cheers of the crowd and the announcer shouting something. Turning to look back out the window he saw that Chikori had been defeated by ringout. Realizing that his thoughts made him miss an entire fight, Jack cursed himself as the two Saiyans left the arena with their own power.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" the host called from the stage. After dramatically twirling his microphone, he thrust one of his hands toward the fighters' resting area. "The fourth match of the first round is about to begin! We have our returning champion, Jack Ryan! And he will be facing the biggest Namekian I've ever seen, Fenro! Fighters! Come to the stage!"

As the crowd began cheering wildly, Jack's nervous expression transformed into a confident grin. Rather than walk around the room and go out the door, he leapt out the window he was at and bounced off the grass. Landing next to the announcer, the champion tugged on his gi playfully before giving the audience a thumb's up. Contrary to his bravado, the large Namekian approached from the stone walkway, calmly and casually walking onto the stage. With Fenro's arrival, Jack turned to face him. Standing in front of each other, preparing to fight, Jack couldn't help but feel somewhat intimidated. The green man before him was significantly larger than himself, and he considered himself to be a big guy.

Jack's hand went forward, offering a handshake. "No matter what goes down, no hard feelings right?" Jack offered. The Namekian looked at his hand for a moment before reaching out himself and accepting the handshake. "Sure," Fenro gave him, though there was no sarcasm in his voice. Noting that this was only the second word that he's heard come from Fenro, Jack briefly considered the possibility that he simply didn't know English very well. Then again, he did make it through registration so he had to have some skill in the language. After the two locked hands, the crowd began cheering again. Surely this fight was going to be marvelous to watch.

Meanwhile, the announcer scampered off the stage back to the fighters' area. Once safely out of the way, he brought the microphone back up to his face. "Fighters!" he began, letting his voice echo (somehow) across arena. "Prepare for battle!" Jack and Fenro both took a few steps back, to give themselves a respectable starting distance. Once Jack felt comfortable he dropped into his fighting stance. But his look of confidence turned to shock when he saw that his opponent didn't take up a stance. Instead, Fenro stood with his arms crossed over his chest. "Let the battle...! Begiiiiiiin!!"

Full power! Jack Ryan let out a primal shout as he dashed forward. The speed at which he moved earned an expression of shock on the Namekian's face. Fenro was barely able to get into his stance and block the incoming punch with his forearm. Without relenting, the champion followed up with another punch. One after another, blow after blow. A blistering fast onslaught of punches and kicks thrown in a seemingly uncoordinated fury. But for the two fighters on the stage every single move was calculated. Fenro was able to match every strike with a proper block, but the assault left no openings for him to attempt a counter-attack. In fact, the force of each successive block pushed him back slightly. The fighters were skirting closer and closer toward the edge of the arena.

"The contender can only hold a guard against the champion! He's losing ground fast! Will he be able to recover!?" the announcer shouted into the microphone. Though more than loud enough for the entire crowd, and likely a good portion of the entire city, neither Fenro nor Jack were paying attention. The Namekian continued being pushed back toward the edge of the arena, sliding all the way from the center to the edge over the span of a minute. The barrage was endless. Fenro's heels reached the corner. With his right arm, Jack threw a punch harder than any of the ones before, aimed directly for his opponent's face.

The large green man took the window of opportunity that the haymaker provided, rotating around Jack so he would no longer be at the edge of the arena. But that was just as the champion had predicted. As Fenro brought his fists up in a position behind Jack, the champion's left leg shot out in a mule kick, connecting directly into Fenro's midsection. The large man lurched around the foot, even getting some lift off the ground. In his moment of being stunned, Jack regained his balance and turned around. He thrust his left palm into the Namekian's large chest, knocking the wind out of his foe. As Fenro began to stumble backwards from the blow, Jack grabbed him by his left wrist. After spinning himself to hold Fenro's arm over his own shoulder, Jack let out another shout of effort as he tossed the large man straight up into the air.

Facing his back towards the edge of the arena, Jack looked up to watch his falling foe. With precision timing, he let out one last shout of effort before leaping into the air himself. With his foot stretched forward for a powerful kick, he shouted "Dragon Ascent!!" The blow connected with Fenro's midsection, causing him to first bend around the blow before being rocketed off in the other direction. Jack touched back down, panting heavily from his exertion. He watched with a grin as the Namekian started to come back down to Earth, with a trajectory that suggested he was going to land out of the ring. It didn't particularly matter as he wasn't moving anyways. I did it! I managed to rise to the occasion, Jack began congratulating himself.

Before Fenro could land out of the arena, he suddenly caught himself on the edge in a handstand. This sudden movement shocked Jack, who thought he was unconscious. "This match isn't over yet folks!" Jack could hear the announcer shout. As Fenro calmly let his feet down onto the stage and stood upright, Jack could finally feel the sweat from his assault. And upon Fenro turning to face Jack, the champion's eyes seemed to fade. His opponent seemed almost unscathed. No way. He can still fight even after taking such heavy blows? Jack brought his hands back up into his fighting stance, even though they were quite literally on opposite ends of the arena. No matter how hard he tried to suppress it, he was still breathing heavily.

"I underestimated you," Fenro spoke up, catching Jack off guard. "W-what?" was the only response he could muster, though he kept his hands up in case the Namekian tried a surprise assault. "I thought you would be weaker than this. I had sensed that you had one of the weakest powers among the fighters, but it seems that I was wrong," the Namekian explained as he brought his fists to his sides. Jack wasn't sure if he should be offended or take the compliment, but regardless he knew the fight wasn't over. A moment of silence passed over the arena and a single gust of wind. Then the two charged forward.

The fighters met at the center of the arena. Jack came in with a kick toward his head, but Fenro ducked underneath and made a low sweep. After having his leg kicked out from under him, Jack began to fall. Quick thinking set in and he grabbed the ground with one hand. Retaining that balance, he made another kick toward his foe that was consequently blocked. Using the momentum from the blocked attack, Jack flipped to his feet and brought his right fist forward. Rather than a typical block, Fenro caught his fist with his left hand. The Namekian's hands were much larger than Jack's and easily stopped the fist. Not giving him any time, Jack brought his other fist forward only to be caught as well.

The two were locked now. Jack was pushing with all his might to overpower the green man, but Fenro wasn't budging in the slightest. Suddenly, Jack's fists began to hurt. The Namekian's strength from squeezing his fists was beginning to get to him. "You have a true fighter's spirit," Fenro spoke again, surprising Jack. The human gritted his teeth and began grunting in effort. The grunt soon turned into a primal shout as he tried to push Fenro back. Suddenly, without any warning, Fenro stretched his arms out wide. This brought Jack's arms out too and pulled the smaller human closer. Jack's loud shout was finally silenced when he received the powerful headbutt from the Namekian.

The blow had a nasty crack sound to it and visibly left Jack Ryan dazed. The champion began to lose his balance from his own dizziness, but Fenro instead began lifting his arms up. This kept Jack standing, but as Fenro's arms crossed each other this caused Jack to spin around and consequently be trapped in a bear hug with his arms trapped too. By now, Jack was beginning to regain his bearings and realized how bad of a position he was in. The Namekian could probably break his shoulders or back like this. He tried struggling to get free, but he was no match for the larger green man. Suddenly, Jack felt his feet leave the ground.

Then he saw the sky, then he saw the crowd upside-down. Fenro bent backwards in a Suplex move, slamming the champion into the arena head-first. The power of the impact created a gust of wind from the arena and cracked the stone tiles substantially. The Namekian let go of the champion after that blow, letting Jack fall to the ground face-down as he stood back upright. "Jack Ryan is down!!" the announcer shouted after a moment, overcoming his disbelief. "One! Two! Three!" The sound of a gong was heard, yet Jack Ryan remained unconscious on the stage.

"We have a winner! With a victory by knocking out the returning champion, the Namekian, Fenro, will be moving on to the next round!" As the large, green man dusted off his shoulders and calmly walked off-stage, medical personnel came rushing from the fighters' area with a stretcher between them. The rolled Jack onto the stretcher and marched away. They had no idea what condition he was in, considering the blows he took, but at least they knew he was breathing. As Fenro returned to the fighters' area, he took one last look at the unconscious champion being taken away. His face was still stern, giving no insight to his thoughts, but it seemed that he had gained a little respect for his opponent.

Nel Lilac - PL: 250/300

The next couple of fights were just as amazing as the first, If not better. Though the battle between Jack and the green-man was a shocker. It left the crowd in a stark silence that made world seemed louder. The flapping of birds, airlines passing by in the distance, and the very rare popcorn bag falling on the ground.

“Wow,” was all Nel could muster. “For a moment there, I thought Jack had it.”

He heard Cade swallow hard, but he didn't speak. He must had been in shock just like the others. As they watched Jack get carried off in a stretcher, they all slowly begin to murmur about the green-man and the fight. Amazing as he was, Fenaro, he thought his name was, he had inadvertently earned the suspicion of the whole arena.

Nel stood up from the bleachers without a word and hurried down the stands to the fighters area, he wasn't sure why, but his legs just carried him there. He crepped over to the side of the building again, peeping in at the rest of the fighters. His back felt heavy ever since Fenaro had stopped himself from being ringed out.

“I need to know why,” he told himself, finally answering the question.

"Goofy? Maybe, but he did manage to defeat someone more powerful than him, and these fights aren't life or death so personally I don't see anything wrong with it." David replied to Light's comment on Ultra-Dimension, before turning hi attention to the next fight, which was unfortunately over very quickly. "You know I feel kinda for Chikori, not only did she lose that soon but by a ring out."

He quickly shut up when he saw that the next match was starting. "Who knows maybe I get to fight Jack in the second round." David was sure that the current champion would win this match, but Ferno proved him wrong by winning easily. "That Namekian seems like a scary opponent to face, though I can't help but hope I'll get to fight him."

Maggatorr watched the fights go on in the martial arts tournament and he was impressed by the warriors of earth, they seemed to have good skills in the art of combat. These earthlings might be helpful in his quest to become stronger and destroy all evil in the universe. Several of the humans looked at him with a bit of fear and surprise at his strange appearance especially his scary red eyes. He didn't care how the weak humans perceived him, he was on a mission and the only earthlings that Maggatorr was interested in were the strong ones. He continued to watch the fighting and he focused on their moves and how effective their techniques were, there would always be the possibility that he would have to fight a few of these fighters.

Maggatorr did find the fighter Ultra Dimension annoying since he seemed to be one of those fighters that fooled around instead of fully focus on defeating an opponent regardless of who they were. He really enjoyed Jack and Fenro's fight. He thought that Fenro was the weaker fighter, but he saw that the Namekian had been holding back and showed his true power. It was sometimes a smart idea to keep your true strength hidden until it is necessary. The warriors who arrogantly show their strength were normally the ones who got defeated the quickest. He would be interested in meeting this Fenro after the tournament and seeing if training with him would be a possibility. Even though he had lost, Maggatorr did have respect for Jack since there was a time when Maggatorr had to be surprising and trying to beat his peers as a child.

"Oh come on! How could a pathetic green alien beat Jack Ryan?!" one human said with venom in his voice. Maggatorr felt his anger rise at the man's words. He didn't like to get involved with the ignorance of other races but this human's words angered him.

"It's amazing that this tournament lets monsters like him even participate and look at that freak Maijin girl. If you ask me this should be a humans only contest, no aliens allowed!" another human next to the ignorant man shouted.

"Aliens go home!" some of the people booed, and Maggatorr had had enough of their racist comments. He stood up and tapped them on the shoulder getting their attention. When they turned around to face him their eyes went wide with terror. Maggatorr eyes were crackling with glowing red energy and looked ready to blast them as he stood over them. Other members of the audience gave a cry and shook in terror.

"Maybe you weaklings should know your place and remain silent before I test my Omega Eye Beams on you and see what happens! Silence yourselves or I'll make you suffer do you understand!!!" he roared at them causing their hats and sunglasses to fly off. They shook violently out of pure fear and turned and ran from where Maggatorr was standing. It looked like there would two more empty seats in this section of the stands.

"Weaklings and cowards always show their true selves under the threat of violence. Violence and fear are the only things scum understand in this universe" he said to himself as he sat back down to watch the fights. He noticed that he had drawn some attention to himself thanks to his fierce words and he hoped that it didn't stop the tournament since he was still curious to see the rest of the fights.

Zabura had stood silent with his arms crossed through the first of the fights, the pose was almost becoming synonymous with him on earth you could say as he only ever did it when he was thinking or feeling impatient. The first fight had been barely entertaining at all that was to say the least, a match against some human named David and an orange alien named Teemo. The moves of Teemo were lacking any real martial skills, and the other competitor David seemed to favor that finger beam of his, in fact that had been next to no real fighting the entire first round, just a flurry of weak punches and miniscule ki blasts. However the humans around the demon seemed to be entertained by this level of fighting, which was not shocking seeming most of them probably did not know what a real fight was. The only one who seemed to be disappointed like Zabura was the young one next to the kid who had interrupted his conversation with Kouta at the top of the stairs. But his reasons of disappointment were not the same, in fact he seemed terribly naive, not realizing that what he was seeing was the most basic use of ki. It was amazing how stupid humans were in this place. The second match had been against an old man and some kind of show off wannabe superhero named Ultra Dimension. This match had been just slightly more entertaining then the first, however Zabura despised how much disrespect Ultra Dimension displayed, however with all said and done the old man lost and the winner was escorted out by some ship from the sky.

The third fight very much like the first had been quick and had showed no real skill set at all, in a lot of ways it was worst then the first. However like before the humans at it up like it was suppose to be amazing. It was however the fourth fight that ended up being the best out of all the others, a human named Jack and a namekian named Fenro. The fight had been short and almost brief in terms of time, however at least these two fighters seemed to retain some level of skill, especially the namekian, Zabura would have to keep an eye on that one when the time came to steal the dragon balls. Although he was suddenly broken from his thoughts when he felt something cold hit his head and start dripping into the collar and down his back. Zabura slowly reached his hand up and touched his head bringing it back down to have a weird liquid on it, growling he turned as a human was looking directly at him.

"Hey buddy the rest of us would like to see the show how bout sitting down!"

Zabura raised his hand slowly as he spread his fingers out periodically, he had every intention of blasting this disrespectful human straight in his mouth, however if he did that then he would undoubtedly be attacked by would be saviors, and this would not do, at least not right now. So instead he lowered his hand as he gritted his teeth, then concentrating some ki in his foot he lifted it up little ways and brought it to the ground in a stomp, the entire section of bleachers erupted in a semi violent earthquake as all the people behind Zabura were thrown from their seats and on top of each other. The humans around Zabura were now slightly dazed and more or less confused as to where the sudden shaking came from, however they would be too stupid to realize the truth, turning his back on them he wiped the rest of the liquid off himself and swiped his hand as it splattered some nearby man. This caused more trouble however when the man came up to him already cursing at him, Zabura didn't even bat an eye as he pointed his finger and hit the fool with a gust of ki knocking him head over heels into some other humans.

Zabura silently lowered his hand as he crossed his arms once more turning his attention back to the ring, however he couldn't help but notice that the young man next to him was looking at him now. The same child who had ridiculed the first fight calling it a movie. Turning his gaze to the young man Zabura's eye's glowed a deep red as their eye's meant for a brief moment before Zabura turned his head away. This kid would see true power soon, that was a guarantee, but for now he would bide his time until that moment came.

Kouta paid very little attention to the fights. He'd barely heard of many of these fighters, much less cared who won or lost. He sighed, wishing the crowd wasn't so noisy, even if such a wish was impossible, given the setting and events going on. Still, this was the kind of experience that he just knew would be giving him a massive headache before long. Oh well, if it was to get his wish from the Dragon Balls, then it would be worth the aggravation. For now he'd just have to grit his teeth and deal with it.

He watched as one of the fights came to close. Some old guy versus a younger guy in what clearly looked like armor. Did... did they allow the use of weapons and armor in these tournaments? Kouta was sure that such things were banned but maybe they had changed the rules at some point and he simply hadn't known about it? Well whatever the case, the younger guy apparently won, though it looked like it was only through the skin of his teeth. Kouta honestly would have pegged the old guy as the one who would win, but hey, it wasn't like he had actually bet any money on the fight. Hell, he barely even cared about the fight in the first place, only taking notice of it because of the whole weapons and armor thing coming into play.

As the first round of fights started winding down, Kouta began to notice a rather irritating pattern. Certain members of the audience were apparently the most arrogant, obnoxious assholes he'd ever seen in his life. And... not a single one of them were human. Between the loudmouth alien who damn near started a panic with his little tantrum and the demon Zabura nearly destroying a set of bleachers when someone threw their snow cone at him, one would get the idea that having weird colored skin or other alien/demonic traits were grounds to be the biggest jerk imaginable. Okay, the snow cone thing was a rather boneheaded thing for the human guy to do, given the circumstances, but surely the demon should have been able to retain more composure than that. In response to all of this, Kouta just pinched the bridge of his nose, practically facepalming at the display of sheer douchebaggery happening around him.

"Apparently the concepts of subtlety and restraint are purely human inventions..." he muttered to himself under his breath. He had an instinct to step in to stop these guys from causing any more destruction, but fought the urge. He now had his own mission and wasn't about let the temper tantrums of an alien meat-head get in the way of his completing it. Although he did secretly wish that someone else would step up and do something about them. That at least would show some much needed decency in humanity... and give him a potential opportunity to slip away and steal the Dragon Balls. Of course, the chances of that actually happening were slim to none, especially in a place like this, where the bloodsports ended up bringing out the worst in people.
