The issues with that are:
- There'd be little to no interaction between them, as events in the smaller ones wouldn't affect the larger ones unless the smaller ones just crank out allies and enemies via being backstory factories, and larger ones would basically just come in to the smaller ones and say "by the way you now have these changes to implement have fun."
- We'd need 1-5 people just to manage everything, make sure everyone knows everything relevant, and keep the wiki within a year of up to date, assuming they actually kick off.
- Some threads would inevitably die off and then what? Do we leave them, save the info and delete them, try to repair them, what? We'd need a plan for that.
- We'd need a plan for if rpg staff decide we can't have X threads for one rp. (Assuming we expand a lot.)
- We run the risk of repeating plots that were based on or influenced by other things, and repeat characters. While the characters aren't as big of an issue because of multiple versions/copies, it could lead to inter-rper conflict over "who's the real/best/prime/etc. one.
- There would be so much information that it would be difficult if not impossible to really get into any thread beyond the first one someone joins. It's hard to jump into just this one, but to cross them well would require knowing all involved with the crossing, meaning that a filled out wiki and reading at least the parts for the specific thread when joining would be essentially required.
- The more people opens a likelyhood of rare posters joining, making flow difficult. We see that even in just the current, often because of me, admittedly.
- At a certain number of people per thread we'd basically need someone to act as a sort of GM just to make sure everything is at least semi-organized and managed so it doesn't turn into a clusterfuck beyond anything that's happened.
- What if people join and aren't the kind we want? How do we handle that? The thread poster can't delete other people's posts, and I don't know of a way to block people, so we could get some of those threads that die due to spam, and then if we keep the events in them canon then someone has to go through and record everything in it for the wiki.
